Discover Nature conservation Meinweg I – Hands-on green care and animal care.
Wegberg, Germany, PAESI BASSI
Attività principali
During the project, you will work as a forest ranger in the National Park. Your work helps to protect nature and keep the park healthy.
The park has open landscapes and heathland. These areas need regular care so plants and animals can continue to live there. You will help remove unwanted plants by hand.
This work is careful and important, because machines cannot be used in these natural areas.
Other work will be in caring for animals.

Organizzatore
The partner organization is Naturschutzstation Haus Wildenrath. It is part of Grenspark Maas-Swalm-Nette. Stations like these started from voluntary nature protection work. Today, they connect volunteers, professional nature experts, and local authorities. They work as associations and often cooperate with farmers, fishing and hunting groups, and environmental organizations.
The station works on nature protection and species protection. It also helps to protect cultural landscapes, for example by planting and taking care of traditional orchards. In addition, the organization supports regional development and soft tourism. FInally, the station is used as a place for nature and sustainability projects and helps people learn more about protecting the environment.
