Attività principali
You will be involved in creating information panels and signs explaining the customs and traditions of the REV's host location. These will be made from recycled materials, mainly on mobile supports to ensure their longevity in the association's evolving project. Following collective reflection and discussion with people knowledgeable about spatial planning, you will implement the collectively developed construction plan. You will be introduced to different techniques for assembling materials and decorating.
This project will allow you to develop teamwork and construction skills while applying safety practices (gloves, goggles). Work time: 25 hours/week.

The workcamp will take place in a particularly isolated area, where you will be accommodated on the REV site in individual tents (remember to bring a warm sleeping bag). You will have access to sanitary facilities close to the camp. What's more, if weather conditions deteriorate too much for camping, a shelter a few meters away will be available. Meals will be provided and prepared in turn by participants.

Location: The project will take place in the southern part of Mount Lozère, in a rural area (Lozère department). Shaped by erosion, this territory is crisscrossed by several rivers, geological formations such as the Causses, and numerous forests of many species. The nearest town is Mende, with 12,000 inhabitants.
Leisure: Far from France's large cities, Lozère is nonetheless a very dynamic region. Local activities revolve around festivities, concerts, and unspoilt natural areas (mountains, rivers, forests).

The project will take place at the permanent headquarters of the Réseau d’Entraide Volontaire (REV), a former summer camp located at an altitude of 1,200 meters. The building is located at the foot of Mount Lozère in the heart of the Cévennes National Park. Established in spring 2022, the association is developing a place for welcome, exchange, and meeting. In order to take care of people and the environment, the REV is committed to sustainable development. As the site is constantly changing, it is necessary to clearly indicate the spaces and their uses so that everyone who visits feels comfortable and is able to use all the facilities created during the construction work.
The association therefore needs new signage for the site. It will be made from materials recovered from the surrounding area with a view to upcycling. This project will teach you how to build elements from various materials to facilitate movement around the REV. It will contribute to transforming the site into a welcoming space where international volunteers, project volunteers, visitors, residents, etc., can meet.
