Immerse yourself in medieval adventure by working with the team of local volunteers: set up the installations, run the stands, cook and contribute to the success of the fair! This job combines technical skills, physical strength and organization. You'll help set up and dismantle stalls, tents, and barnums. You'll contribute to the signage, traffic plan and layout. Take care of general fair logistics, including cooking and cleaning. Run stands such as the bar, pancake stand and much more. Please note: during the first and last weeks, the work will be particularly physical, with heavy lifting and busy days. Take up the challenge and live this memorable medieval experience!

Leisure time is organized collectively with the whole group. During the second week and weekends, you'll be busy with the fair. Discovering the region will therefore take place in the last week. You'll have the chance to take part in concerts, workshops, exhibitions and other events organized in conjunction with the fair!

Your collective dormitory will be located in a municipal building. Food is provided and meals are prepared by volunteers in turn in a permanent kitchen. Lunchtime meals are taken with other festival volunteers. Bring your favorite recipes with you!

ProgramCamp program includes team projects, discussions at the round table, social and sport games, performances in the open air, actions for peace and nature protection, meetings with people, visits to museums and sightseeing as well as presentations of the countries that camp participants and volunteers represent, etc. Every day the camp will have a country presentation, a subject to learn or discuss and a related activity. Teenagers will stay in the camp activities zone from 10:00 to 17:00. There will be one day off in the camp and at least one day of travel outside Tallinn. The day off is spent either under the leadership of a member of the school staff or in the host family. Camp activities will take place in the premises of the language school that is situated in the very centre of the city. To activate teenagers and run the program, there will be a group of international volunteers and members of the local school staff. Longer camp shifts include one trip outside Tallinn.

AccommodationThere are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the beginning of the camp):1) In the premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the camp participants accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Apart from bedrooms, the tea-room for rest will be also organized where teenagers might watch films, read and play board games enjoying soft sofas. Bed linen, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, minimum one school staff member and one volunteer will be staying with camp participants overnights to maintain life, catering and general order on the site. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that you must be inside by 22:00 the latest unless supervised outside by a school staff member. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners at school, lunches i together with other camp participants.2) In the host families of some of local participants who will join this camp. The apartments of the host families may be located in Tallinn or its suburbs. Participants will stay in a separate or shared room. You do NOT need a sleeping bag. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners in their host families, lunches i together with other camp participants in the city. Travel cards will be provided, pick up service at arrival is provided upon request.Please note: it is not possible to stay at any of the camp accommodation options before or after the camp arrival and departure days. Special requirementsWe will welcome any ideas to improve the program and your active participation in it. English is the camp language. The age of international camp participants is 14 i 16. Please be aware that during the day program of the camp the participants will be asked to leave their cell phones at their accommodation site to ensure safety of the participants and their engagement with the camp activities. To assure a safe environment for all the campers, we expect all our camp participants will provide their parents letter of consent (Parental Authorization) and travel insurance certificate.Participation feeUnlike the traditional voluntary camp, there will be mostly informal educational activities and guided language practice. Camp program implementation involves costs for boarding and lodging, domestic transport, materials, excursions, visits, cultural activities and general administration. Since neither EstYES, nor its partner ALPS receive any financial support for this camp from state or municipality, to make the camp happen we have to charge a participation fee from 350 to 600 Euro depending on the duration of the camp shift. This is a separate fee that is different from your country sending organization s fee you pay at home. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Thematic photo and video contests for camp participants will be organized.

ProgramThere are diverse activities in the camp program: canoeing, water scootering, running ATV, paintball in the forest, sport games - football, rugby, volleyball, athletics, table tennis, archery, frisbee, disc-golf, trampolines, different competitions, forest cross, sport orientation in the forest on and on sea (navigation), fishing, Viking boats, bicycle trips to explore the area, visit to the horse farm with horse riding, excursions historical places of interest in the area, active games and adventure trail in Roosta Adventure Park, picnics on a seaside, building sand and stones castles on the beach, Estonian sauna party, etc. Bikes are available for the whole camp duration free of charge. WorkThere will be also some voluntary work such as painting of community buildings, making wooden toys and games for local orphanage, repairing benches and tables, cleaning local beach and old local park from garbage, planting trees, little renovation works in the local school, clearing pavement, helping seniors living in the community with some household duties, preparing fire woods for heating, berries and herbs picking to give the crop to the orphanage and seniors home, duty in a kitchen and around the camp once in a shift, etc. The work will be organised in cooperation with local forestry department, municipality of Nova and local school. Please note that the work described above is planned for the whole summer and it may change from one shift to another depending on local needs, the season and weather conditions.

AccommodationIn wooden huts set by the local school nearby the seaside (500 m away). Please bring your sleeping bag and mat. Showers, toilets are provided in the school and there will be additional bio-toilets set on camping site. You can have traditional Estonian sauna every dayCateringMeals are served 3 times a day. There are water machines with cold water in the school complex. Catering takes place in the schools mess hall or into the lager tent outside near the mess. Meals are cooked by professional cooks. However participants will be asked to help cleaning.Medical AidCamp staff members have medical certificates and are able to provide the first aid. Special requirementsParticipants have to be sporty (e.g. be ready to run up to 3 km, bike up to 30 km), independent enough, curious and interested in active life style. Please inform us beforehand about allergies, dietary requirements you have or others prescriptions from your doctor. Please bring sleeping bag and mat, wind and waterproof clothes, goods shoes, warm and summer clothes. It s advisable to take thermal underwear. If possible, please take tick vaccination before coming. Generally, age of participants is 14-17, however exceptions are possible. NB Smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs is absolutely prohibited in the camp and this policy will be followed strictly Thus, if you cannot quit smoking for a while it is probably better not to come. Camp common language is English. Local languages are Estonian and Russian.Participation feeUnlike the normal camp there will be not too much of work here. Nevertheless, participants will be provided with board, lodging, local transportation and all equipment necessary to realize camp program. Besides, program involves a lot of extra costs for excursions, trips out, visits, sport activities, equipment, materials and general administration and leadership. Since neither EstYES nor its local camp partner, does not receive financial support for this camp from municipality or private sources, to realize this camp we have to charge participation fee of 500 Euro, which covers all camp and program costs including transfer from Tallinn to and from the camp, and which has to be paid by bank transfer before the camp or by participants upon arrival to the camp. The bank details will be provided after the acceptance of the participant to the camp. This camp is organized for teenagers by youth sport club Lukas-Basket which has been running national youth camps for 25 years and International ones for the past 12 years. International teenage camps will be hosted on seaside in the West of Estonia in Laanemaa County in the municipality of Nova. Beautiful nature, numerous historical places, 200 years long tradition of health resort, unique cultural events are the treasures of the County. Nova with warm sea, white sand, mushroom and berry crops, picturesque lakes, cobble stone road and many places of interest is ideal place for leisure. The aim of Nova camp is to give young people possibility to have active, healthy and meaningful summer vacations with different sport adventures, to enjoy unspoiled nature and to learn to live in harmony with it, also to explore and realize their own capacities and limits. The program will include water activities, sport and ball games, eco-hikes, bicycle trips to places of interest, horse riding, fishing, rowing, acquaintance with local culture and many other exciting things. Mens sana in corpore sano (Healthy Spirit in Healthy Body) i this is the message of the camp Besides all this, camp gives possibility for intensive contacts between local youth and their peers from abroad, showing youngsters the diversity of world cultures, broadening their horizons and encouraging active communication through games and creative activities. Finally, there will be some voluntary work for nature protection and to support local community. The area of the camp is about 3 hectares and it can host over 60 youngsters on one shift. The project's aim is to enlight the deep connection between agriculture and community: the way people engage themselves into agriculture can make a difference in their quality of life phisically and socially. Volunteers will also learn the opportunities and the difficulties that a mountain territory has. Legambiente Vallecamonica is trying to help local farmers and trying to sensibilise people on social and enviromental sustainable agriculture.

The volunteers' efforts are focused on managing an alpine refuge assisting a local onlus association by hosting pilgrims looking for shelter and meals. Volunteers will also help a farmer with his daily tasks, significantly easing his workload. Additionally, maintenance tasks are crucial and involve cleaning paths, roads, and green picnic areas, as well as refurbishing signage and fences where necessary. This comprehensive involvement offers volunteers a deep understanding and hands-on experience of farm life and mountian lifestyle activities.

Vallecamonica is one of the most wide valley in the italian Prealps and it is recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve thanks to the extraordinary biodiversity it hosts. A basic level of fitness is necessary for the mountain treks, as participants will work in such enviroment not always suitable for veihicle transport. We anticipate walking for at least two hours each day so it's important that volunteers are prepared for this physical aspect of the experience.

Legambiente Vallecamonica was founded in the 1980s on the slipstream of the national ecologist movement. Since its birth the circle has supported and organized initiatives regarding air and water pollution, plastic free, the fight against food waste, sustainable agriculture and sustainable mobility. Nowadays there is an active group of educators who bring environmental education in school here in Vallecamonica. The Camp is also one of its historical activities and it aims to create a healthy cultural exchange that promotes ecological awareness and universal citizenship but enhancing local peculiarities.

Alliksaare Farm s main direction is horse breeding. At the moment there are around 150 horses on the farm. The work can be diverse: it is to take care and maintain the pastures located by the sea - clearing around the pastures, building or removing fences, repairing fences, cleaning the stable. Another work is cleaning the coast nearby the farm from rubbish brought by storms. There can be some work for preparing food for horses for a winter time. However the major and the most important one is work with horses directly - taking care and training them. There are horses of any age but mostly young ones, so depending on your experience and willingness to learn more, it is possible to practice taking care of and training young horses. For example socializing and training foals, halter train yearlings and saddle and/or carriage train young horses. The work will be mainly outdoors. Working time is 6-7 hours a day. Work will be done under some supervision and guidance of the local host but mostly independently.

In spring and autumn you can enjoy birds watching as their migration route goes over island. This camp is perfect for people who enjoy being close to the nature and are interested in traditional way of rural living.

The accommodation conditions are very simple - in caravans, however beds are provided. Please bring your sleeping bag. Toilets and showers are available on site. There is a kitchen with all necessary equipment for cooking. Ingredients for food will be provided, but you need to cook by yourselves. We ask you to keep the living and common areas clean (washing dishes, cleaning the floors, etc).

Special requirementsYou have to be open-minded and ready to adapt to the simple conditions of the common life in Estonian countryside. Be ready for independent work staying without permanent supervision. Please consider that the work is mainly farm work which can be hard at some time. It is very important that you already have some substantial experience with horses and be able to interact and train them. Please send a motivation letter explaining it. It can be helpful if you have some technical skills: repair machines, building, use chainsaws, etc. Driving license is an advantage. Smoking and drinking alcohol are not permitted on the farm. Participation feeWe ask participants to contribute a single fee of 60 Euro towards the costs of general administration. Fee does not depend on the duration of your stay. This fee has to be paid by bank transfer before the beginning of the camp to the bank account. If you cannot make bank transfer please contact your sending organization for solution.

Hiiumaa, according to the Nordic sagas, emerged from the Baltic Sea as a small islet more than 10 000 years ago. The island of Hiiumaa was first mentioned in historical documents as a deserted island called Dageida in 1228. The first inhabitants settled down at the end of the 13th century. Nowadays, Hiiumaa is the second biggest island of Estonia with an area of 965 sq. km and a population of around 9 000. It has many historical and nature sights, and there are kind people known for their hospitality and good sense of humor. The island is referred to as a remote area of Europe, and EstYES feels particularly proud developing international voluntary projects for over twenty years there. EstYES has been cooperating with eco-farms all over Estonia for solidarity and practical support to local people who work in the agricultural sector keeping traditional lifestyle and developing new eco-farming despite all difficulties. Alliksaare Farm on Hiiumaa Island is one of such projects. This is an organic farm promoting sustainable lifestyle, and this camp is proposed for volunteers who appreciate and share its values, want to learn more about it and to help hard working people. Alliksaare Farm breeds an endangered breed of horses called Estonian Native horse. This is their main focus. Also Alliksaare Farm has an important task taking care of coastal meadows which are international birds migration area under protection of NATURA Program. You will have several tasks: helping to organise local life, particularly by assisting with the organisation of festivities. You'll also help to organise concerts and contribute to community life. At the crossroads of some pretty little villages in the Charente, you'll be able to take full advantage of the local heritage. Visits to the region will be organised collectively according to your wishes, for example to the Chateau des Enigmes, the Domaine de Birius, etc. You'll also be able to discover local towns such as Cognac, Saintes and perhaps La Rochelle! Leisure time and local activities will give you the chance to meet the locals!

Accommodation will be shared between the Maison des Bateleurs in Montendre and the Lycee de Pons boarding school. You will be welcomed at the Maison des Bateleurs at the start and end of the work camp, where meals will be prepared in turn by you, in particular for lunch and dinner, while respecting environmental values and local resources, as well as everyone's culture (hot and cold dishes, as well as for vegetarians and vegans will be prepared).

The project aims at promoting community developm ent process and responsible volunteering to
make a change. Therefore, all aspeccts of social work actions will be introduced to them.
Depending on the weather, volunteers would plant new trees, take care of already planted ones, remove dead saplings, chop firewood, do soil working, composting, clearing weeds and bushes, preparing holes for future plantation and make polythene green house fully operational. Since environmental education and protection is the focus of the camp they will be expected to create awareness on issues like global warming, climate hange, Carbon emission, sustainable lifestyle etc. while visiting local communities. Besides tree plantation, volunteers will be given an exposure of other humanitarian projects, meeting with women groups, physical activity in RUCHI campus and work in communities or slums.

Location & Leisure time: Ruchi campus which is located near Bandh village. It is 30 km from Kalka town and 60 km from Chandigarh city. The area offers a unique opportunity to live with nature in a peaceful environment. Self organized city tours and excursions. Old Sikh and Hindu temples in the near vicinity can be visited. Nearby Kasauli town, a hill station, is a major tourist attraction. A visit to Shimla, the state capital, will offer an opportunity to see high Himalayan Mountains and British architecture.

Volunteers will live in the RUCHI campus in shared accommodation. All minimum basic amenities will be available with library facilities. Vegetarian food will be served. A cook will be there but volunteers are expected to help him and occasionally cook their own meals and self-management is required. Sleeping bags are not necessary but required for personal hygiene.

Volunteers will live in the RUCHI campus in shared accommodation. All minimum basic amenities will be available with library facilities. Vegetarian food will be served. A cook will be there but volunteers are expected to help him and occasionally cook their own meals and self-management is required. Sleeping bags are not necessary but required for personal hygiene.

Il campo Swimtrekking & Orienteering a Itaca risulta davvero unico nel suo genere. Oltre al piacere del NUOTO IN ACQUE LIBERE in uno dei mari più suggestivi del Mar Mediterraneo, il nostro soggiorno sarà arricchito da iniziative alla SCOPERTA dell’ISOLA DI ULISSE. Nuoteremo in acque cristalline tra reperti archeologici e lunghi canyon aperti tra le alte falesie, esploreremo le silenziose spiagge dell’isola e avremo occasione di conoscere la storia e il folklore locali. La nostra vacanza prevede una VISITA GUIDATA tra le ROVINE del “PALAZZO DI ULISSE” e la PARTECIPAZIONE al TRADIZIONALE PANAGIRI di Stavros–partecipatissima festa locale. Questo speciale programma prevede inoltre la combinazione del nuoto Swimtrekking con la disciplina dell’ORIENTEERING. I volontari recupereranno i rifiuti dal mare durante le nuotate lungo costa e li trasporteranno a riva. Al ter-mine delle attività in acqua si progetteranno e realizzeranno delle opere artistiche, utilizzando solo i mate-riali recuperati dal mare e dalle coste. I rifiuti saranno riassemblati dando sfogo alla fantasia per produrre nuove forme che raccontano l’esperienza vissuta in mare. Il lavoro artistico verrà poi documentato attra-verso foto e video. Al termine dell’attività, le opere verranno smaltite seguendo le normative locali di rac-colta differenziata. I volontari svolgeranno inoltre le attività di Marine and Beach Litter- indagine sulla quan-tità e tipologia di rifiuti raccolti in mare e sulle spiagge raggiunte durante le escursioni, al fine di contribuire alla Direttiva Europea sulla Marine Strategy. Tutte le attività del campo, il lavoro in mare e il lavoro artistico saranno documentate con una macchina fotografica compatta scafandrata messa a disposizione dall’ASD Swimtrekking, insieme a un computer. A fine campo sarà realizzato un video con tutti i contenuti delle attivi-tà svolte e consegnato ai partecipanti (munirsi di penna USB). Altro aspetto fondamentale del campo sarà il censimento di specie marine e delle meduse. L’OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Speri-mentale proseguirà la collaborazione con Swimtrekking in un progetto Citizen Science estendendo per il 2025 la raccolta di informazioni su ogni avvistamento di meduse, tartarughe di mare, noci di mare e delfini.

La bella e tranquilla isola di Itaca, famosa per essere stata la patria di Ulisse, è separata dall’isola di Cefalo-nia da un canale di 3 km di larghezza. La costa orientale è aspra e a strapiombo, mentre quella occidentale è verde e leggermente inclinata verso il Mar Ionio. L’interno è montuoso, ricoperto da pini, cipressi, olivi e vi-gneti. L’isola è ricca di piccoli villaggi e numerosi siti archeologici. Il mare dalle acque cristalline che si esplo-rerà in questo campo è ricchissimo di flora, fauna e reperti archeologici. Kioni è la località dove avrà sede il campo, un pittoresco villaggio di pescatori, con un grazioso porticciolo commerciale, caratterizato da stra-dine, negozi, taverne e café. Incantevoli calette rendono il luogo un vero e proprio paradiso terrestre. Nonostante ciò, determinati punti dell’isola di Itaca, sono particolarmente esposti alle correnti che depositano sulle spiagge e lungo la costa un notevole quantitativo di rifiuti con una altissima percentuale di polistirolo (si tratta delle casette in cui i pescherecci conservano il pescato e che poi finiscono in mare). In accordo con il Sindaco di Itaca sarà quindi compito dei volontari pulire le spiagge inaccessibili da terra. A completamento della pulizia effettuata dai volontari, sarà l’amministrazione locale a provvedere alla rimozione della spazzatura.
Attività formative
I volontari, adeguatamente informati in merito a flora e fauna marina avranno il compito di censire, catalogare e studiare i comportamenti delle meduse, noci di mare, tartarughe e delfini incontrate durante le attività di esplorazione lungo costa. I volontari seguiranno inoltre le direttive tema dei progetti Marine and Beach Litter per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturalistico.

Captain’s Apartment sono dei confortevoli e graziosi appartamenti (monolocali e bilocali, attrezzati di cuci-ne e ampi spazi comuni), situati nella parte alta del villaggio a pochi minuti a piedi dalla marina e dal caratteristico porticciolo turistico di Kioni.
Requisiti e materiali
L’attività dello Swimtrekking si basa sul nuoto. Sarà quindi fondamentale che tutti i volontari sappiano nuotare i due stili principali: lo stile libero e lo stile dorso. Specifichiamo inoltre che non sono assolutamente importanti i tempi di percorrenza e la tecnica individuale ma una certa abitudine all’attività fisica. Si richiede quindi una certa consuetudine con l’attività sportiva di qualsiasi genere sia pur blanda. Le persone molto se-dentarie non sono adatte a questo tipo di esperienza. L’attività di Swimtrekking migliora la propria tecnica individuale nel nuoto, sviluppa l’autocontrollo e la conoscenza di sé, fa conoscere una serie di tecniche quali l’apnea e il salvamento, studia la flora e la fauna, il moto ondoso, i venti e le correnti, rafforza e accresce le dinamiche del gruppo. Chiunque può quindi affrontare in maniera positiva l’esperienza di un campo Swimtrekking se interessato a sperimentare le conoscenze da noi proposte.

With the project EYA - European Youth in Action Legambiente and its partners are promoting international volunteering camps to activate volunteers in caring for the environment and in deepening the issues related to the climate crisis.
The volunteering camp in Sasso di Castalda will be dedicated to the maintenance and care of trails in a National Park, to training activities for volunteers on the current climate crisis.
The volunteer camp will also be a tool to deepen the importance of local and international commitment to protect the environment and society from the effects of climate change.

During this camp, volunteers will be engaged in maintenance and care works on the paths within the protected area of the Appennino Lucano Val d'Agri Lagonegrese National Park and the village of Sasso di Castalda. In particular, the camp will focus on the Basilicata Frassati Path (within the protected area) and the Sentiero dell'Ascolto (Listening Path) (within the village).
Alongside the path maintenance activities, there will also be activities to learn more about the climate crisis and get to know the area that will host the international volunteer camp; there will also be activities to get to know the local Legambiente groups active in the Basilicata region.

The village of Sasso di Castalda is one of the 29 municipalities that make up the Lucano Val d'Agri Lagonegrese Apennine Park, nestled in the mountains of the Basilicata region.
The village is located at an altitude of 949 m a.s.l. and is surrounded by woods and beech forests, criss-crossed by easy-to-travel paths immersed in nature.
The territory of Sasso di Castalda has been inhabited since Roman times, although the village was officially founded around 1068 A.D. as a stronghold of the Normans.
Volunteers can reach Potenza (the regional capital of Basilicata) and then travel to Sasso di Castalda by shuttles organised by the host association. It is possible to reach Potenza by train (Trenitalia ‘Potenza Centrale’ station) or by bus from Rome, Naples or Foggia. The nearest airports are Naples Capodichino, Bari Palese and Rome Fiumicino international airport. It's preferable to arrive in Potenza in the 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. slot null

During the camp there will be workshops and in-depth discussions dedicated to the knowledge of the current climate crisis, its impacts on territories and good practices that can be implemented to combat climate change.
It will also be possible to visit Italy's first green station managed by Legambiente Basilicata, the result of an urban regeneration project and the diffusion of local and conscious consumption choices.

Volunteers will be accommodated in an Environmental Education Centre, with self-managed kitchen. Meals will be mainly vegetarian/vegan. Accommodation is also equipped with a washing machine.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education), organized together with Shirakami Nature School (SNS) since 2006. Shirakami Mountains is one of Japanese valuable preserved natural forests consisting primarily of beech trees, registered as a World Natural Heritage in 1993. SNS has a summer vacation program for children aged 7-12 who will play and live in the nature to grow their independence, cultivate sensitivity, and learn group cooperation. This is also good opportunity for children to learn about international culture through communication with international volunteers. Volunteers need to be ready to spend 24 hours with kids during kids camp except some free times.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 15 (Life on Land), organized together with Tabito Satoyama Restoration Committee (TSRC), since 2022. Tabito-cho is an area of Iwaki City with an ageing population, but at the same time it still retains its traditional satoyama landscape. Former NICE staff, her husband who took up as Local Vitalization Cooperator (organized by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) in 2019, was fascinated by Tabito area and wanted to pass on the local satoyama nature and culture to the next generation. The TSRC was set up with the involvement of local people. The couple's vision of a 'Tabito Workcamp Village' to enliven the depopulated and ageing town with a workcamp movement was launched. First part (30.07.-06.08.) will be all about the preparation of Windmill festival, which is very rich with content. The volunteers will be helping out to the organizers and the other volunteers in setting everything in its place (stage, fences, cleaning the field) and in decorations, because the festival will start on the 7th. During the festival (07.08.-09.08.), volunteers will help with the tasks (sell the tickets at the entrance, inform the guests, move things, things that need to be moved, keep the space without trash, help the musicians maybe, why not, etc...) for around 4 hours a day. All the rest-enjoying time!

Orom is relatively small village with almost completely Hungarian population in the Kanjiža municipality, in the North Banat District, Vojvodina province. It is surrounded by natural beauty with landscaped surroundings and friendly hosts. Settlement was founded at the end of the 19th century.
Orom was organized around railway station, important crossroad and the school. Many houses, stores, but also windmills were built gradually. It is agricultural area and many people are having farms with pigs and cows (that are taken care of with soul). Today it is well connected with Subotica (Szabadka), that is important center of that part.
Before the festival-festival, excursion to Subotica or other interesting places in the neighbourhood can be organized.
During the festival, there will be offered plenty of activities where volunteers can take part. Many workshops will be organized, collective reading, photography, potential circus productions, games for kids, cooking lessons, dance, and sometimes rides in the local chariots.
One secret (that is not that anymore) is that there is also a big pool where volunteers can relax in the hot sunny days.
Please bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures of this Serbian-Hungarian village is really important to the hosts.

The accommodation will be under the tents in the festival zone. Tents will be provided for the volunteers, but if anyone wants extra-comfort, it is completely acceptable to bring your own tent (seriously, haha).

Some of the activities that the volunteers will carry out include:
• Renovating some areas of the Zoo.
• Cleaning and repainting spaces to prepare for the arrival of children to the summer course.
• Preparing recreational activities and games with local facilitators to engage children during the summer course.
• Participating with the children in the summer course as support to the facilitators and activity coordinators at the Zoo, having fun and learning together.

The Morelia Zoo has stood out for implementing environmental education initiatives. Its main goal is to raise awareness among visitors about the importance of caring for the environment, biodiversity, and the preservation of flora and, especially, fauna. This is achieved through various activities carried out throughout the year.
Each year, the zoo organizes the famous summer camp, a space designed for children who, over the course of three weeks, participate in fun and recreational activities with the support of trained instructors. These activities not only spark curiosity but also foster empathy and love for animals and the planet. In a safe environment surrounded by greenery and a variety of species, children have fun while gaining valuable knowledge about the reality of animals and the impact we can have on their protection.
The project's goal is for volunteers to support facilitators and coordinators in the activities of the summer camp, actively engaging with the children in its dynamics. Through this experience, both volunteers and children will have fun and learn together, promoting values such as empathy, respect for nature, and environmental stewardship.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

You will have the honor of being the first international volunteers to enter this building, which has been partially closed to the public for many years.
Under the supervision of a specialized technical instructor, you will begin by removing the wall plaster. You will then clear out the old mortar and repoint the stones to highlight their beauty. This will be a great opportunity to learn traditional masonry techniques, as well as ceiling work and insulation installation. Bring appropriate work clothing, as it may get dirty. Safety equipment will be provided, and no prior qualifications are required. You will work approximately 4 to 5 hours per day.

On the Ile d'Oleron, you can enjoy many water activities, such as fishing and surfing with local clubs. The beach, bike rides along the coast, beach volleyball, and other pleasures await you. You can also visit cities like La Rochelle and Rochefort. Activities and outings will be organized with the local population and especially with youth organisations. Leisure time will encourage meeting the locals who are eagerly awaiting you!

Accommodation will be in one or two-person tents at the Rene Roux sports complex, where you will have exclusive access to the locker rooms for showers. You must bring your warm sleeping bag and a pillow; we provide inflatable mattresses. Food will be provided for all meals, with a budget managed collectively by the group and the facilitators. In turn, you will prepare meals, prioritizing local resources and respecting everyone's dietary regimes (hot and cold dishes, vegetarian, and vegan).

Dive into the history of the Ile d'Oleron by participating in the renovation of a 16th-century seigneurial estate! Every stone has a story to tell. Just outside the town, you'll find the grand estate of La Cailletiere, owned by the commune since 2008. In the 16th century, it was a seigneurial residence consisting of a large manor house with several rooms on the ground floor and first floors, a bordier's dwelling (laborer?s house), and included wine cellars, distilleries, livestock and poultry parks. The commune of Dolus d'Oleron aims to open this space to the public and wishes to add an international dimension by hosting this project with La Maison des Bateleurs.

Re:nember them! In this workcamp you can get involved in the preservation of the former Nazi women's concentration camp Ravensbruck.
Study part:
Join us for the first week to get to know the Ravensbruck Memorial and its history. We will deal intensively and artistically with biographies of imprisoned women and survivors who were imprisoned in the Ravensbruck concentration camp and afterwards in the subcamp Waldbaulager, which is part of the Ravensbruck concentration camp.
Also there will be an audio workshop based on the impressions of the sight.
Work part:
Various maintenance works in the exterior of the memorial and the collections.

The former women's concentration camp Ravensbruck was built in 1939 near the small town of Furstenberg/Havel. Until its liberation in April 1945, over 120,000 women and children, 20,000 men and 1,000 underage young women from the so-called "Uckermark Youth Protection Camp" were imprisoned there. The prisoners came from more than 40 nations. They had to perform forced labor in various sectors, e.g. for SS factories or the Siemens company. Their daily lives were marked by hunger, mistreatment and poor hygienic conditions. Tens of thousands of prisoners were killed. Today, the Ravensbruck Memorial preserves traces and records, promotes remembering and research, and creates a place for active learning and encounters. Every year, international work camps are organized in cooperation with the memorial.

The volunteers will prepare and finalize the programme in the first days. Each day, a four hours workshop/activities will be given and organized for kids in the morning. The volunteers will have many facilities and a park to do the activities with children.
It is well known that people in Spain don?t have a good level of English, even though it is studied at school for more than 9 years. That?s why the participants are really asked to try their best if they speak Spanish to communicate with locals.
Simultaneously, the workshops will try to teach other values such as the respect for the environment and promote the culture of peace. A good atmosphere will be the key for workcamps in future! Volunteers will be asked to take initiative, to ?create? the workcamp, to leave a memory in Jodar.

Jodar is a village located close to Jaen. The main economic activity is agriculture and it is surrounded by the Natural Park of Sierra Magina which is a natural area with the high-quality landscape, pure and nearly virgin. Volunteers will have excellent possibilities to visit Cordoba/Granada or Seville and other spots like Jaen (Arabic baths and cathedral), Ubeda and Baeza. There is also a chance of doing a hiking route through the Serrezuela and the Sierra Magina and even to have a parapente experience in Pegalajar.
In a workcamp we also dedicate some time to a study part. It is an activity of non-formal learning, where you can gain new knowledge or form new opinions on different problems; all this is done in a relaxed and entertaining way.
The intercultural evening is a good way of intercultural learning. In every camp there is one evening, when all participants present their country in a relaxed way ? making presentation, watching photos, telling stories, tasting typical dishes, drinks and sweets, dances etc. Please, have this evening in your mind while preparing your luggage to share a piece of your culture with the rest of volunteers.
The volunteers will have access to the local swimming pool of the town and will be able to enjoy their free times in the poolside.
As the local transportation is not very well connected, it is not easy to organize some trips to the big cities but depending on the volunteers, it could be possible to organize some trips to Malaga, Sevilla or Granada in the weekends. Keep in mind that De Amicitia is not financing your leisure time activities.

At local high school. The living conditions are basic, please bring a sleeping bag. Mats will be available but please check with us first! The center is equipped with showers and toilets. The volunteers are meant to prepare their breakfast, lunch and dinner, although last year we got a professional cook and we hope this year we will have the same ?luxury?.
This project will include a one day only vegan food day agreed by volunteers for the promotion of environmental sustainable lifestyle.
