Come to our camp if you feel that…
Thanks to archaeology, the remains of our cultural ancestors can be found, studied and understood. You do not need experience to participate in “Paper Road”. You will work with an archaeologist and historian. The volunteer camp takes place at the foot of the mountain, in the Paular valley, a place historically linked to the Los Batanes estate as a model of industrial development such as the use of different hydraulic devices to take advantage of water energy. This is where the galley proofs with which the first edition of Don Quixote was published were produced.
Why participate in our field?
In “Camino de Papel”, participants will carry out a series of specific archaeological activities in different locations with the aim of discovering archaeological remains based on previous research.
For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a special vacation, meeting people from other regions and countries.
Tasks specific to the field of volunteering
Clearing and cleaning of existing vegetation , both inside and outside and around the perimeter of archaeological structures.
Manual cleaning and scraping of construction parts (walls, floors, etc.) , removing vegetation that is harmful to architectural elements. If archaeological objects are found, they will be collected, documented and stored for later study.
Excavate certain structures using archaeological methodology , developing strict stratigraphic documentation of the levels of deposition and the construction units that may exist in the subsoil. In this process, all archaeological material will be collected. An archaeological survey is also planned.
Register all archaeological material collected for research and subsequent storage in the Regional Archaeological Museum of the Community of Madrid, as established by current legislation.

Natural resources must be cared for, protected and used in a responsible and rational way. In this field you will be able to get started on a project to create an ecosystem designed for the production of food and other raw materials, where perennial plants such as trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants and climbing plants interact with garden species. This project will be developed in the area around the “Villa Castora” hostel, located in a privileged enclave on the way to the Roman Road in the Sierra de Guadarrama.
Why participate in our field?
In the field “Biological Balances in the Villa Castora Youth Hostel”, volunteers will be able to design, using species such as trees, bushes, etc., an ecologically sustainable space in the surroundings of the “Villa Castora” youth hostel, imitating a natural forest in terms of its diversity of structure and functions. In addition, the construction of an insect hotel will encourage the appearance of small pollinators that will help increase the biodiversity of the space.
For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a special vacation, meeting people from other regions and countries.
Tasks specific to the field of volunteering
Analysis of areas to regenerate damaged ecosystems and prepare the edible forest, cultivating shrubs, trees, herbaceous plants and climbers.
Design, assembly and installation of information panels on biodiversity spaces: vegetable garden, edible forest and insect hotel.

Activating kids in the city camp and providing them with cross-cultural learning experience. Volunteers will do it by using various informal methods of teaching as well as small group techniques. The activities to be held by a team of volunteers may include the following: playing the games and performing music that are popular in the countries the volunteers represent; training kids to perform pieces of amateur drama; preparing festivals; providing intellectual and sport games as well as discussions; preparing quests to combine with excursions round the places of interest; organizing actions for peace and nature protection; leading and supporting kids in their work on the team projects within the topics related to the main theme of the summer. Volunteers are responsible for the day activities in the camp. The work can be quite hard, involving long working hours, requiring high level of commitment and responsibility. You will stay with campers from 10:00 to 17:00 (45-minute lunch is included) and spend about another hour to prepare and finalize next day activities and feedback. Working days are from Monday to Friday plus one duty Saturday; Sundays are days off except the one after arrival. The local participants are mainly youngsters from minority groups of Tallinn whose family s languages include Russian. Based on the previous year, we expect a number of kids/teens participants in one camp shift as up to 40. Volunteers will work in pairs facilitating and leading a smaller group of 10 - 12 children or less during the day and change the groups every 2-3 days.During the first three days of the workcamp after arrival, volunteers will be given the training on the camp methodology and some time to prepare themselves to meet the kids/teens on Monday and further carry out their tasks in the camp. For this reason, it is important to arrive on time.

There are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the start of the project):1) The premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the volunteers accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a small dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Bed linen, towels, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, volunteers will be issued only one set of keys. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that between 01:00 a.m. and 09:00 a.m. the access to the building will be closed. Catering will be organized by the school on an agreement with the volunteers (selection of times, meals - provided or volunteers cook, etc.).2) A furnished shared apartment in the residential area of Tallinn. Volunteers will be issued two sets of keys. The apartment has three-four dormitory bedrooms and all necessary facilities, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center by public transport. Public transport cards will be provided. Volunteers will cook their breakfast meals themselves (food for a standard European breakfast will be provided); dinner meals will be served at school between 18:00 and 19:00; lunches will be organized for the whole camp (including kids/teens) in the city centre.Please note: it is not possible to stay at any of the camp accommodation options before or after the camp arrival and departure days. If you need a place to stay before or after the workcamp dates, we can help you to book a hostel in Tallinn.

Special requirementsYou have to be really motivated to work with kids. Please provide a letter of your motivation along with the application form. An experience of working with children is an advantage. Your ideas and actual preparation to do the activities for kids are essential, so a successful volunteer will be required to meet the team online to discuss and complete some preliminary preparation. We ask you to bring some materials: postcards, posters, symbols of your country, music or popular national games etc., which can be used during your country presentation. We expect active volunteers with a good knowledge of history and culture of their country as well as with an ability and wish to present it to others in a creative way. B2 level of English is required. The age of volunteers is from 20 to 33. Please note that before making a final decision about your participation in the camp, the project coordinator will have a video interview with you.Participation feeWe ask participants to contribute 50 Euro towards the costs of general administration. If you apply for two shifts in a row the participation fee is 80 Euro. This fee has to be paid by bank transfer before the beginning of the camp. If you cannot make it, please contact your sending organization for a solution.

This project is organized for local children by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALPS) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. Some international teenage participants may randomly join. The common project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to children and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication using the learning-by-doing method and organizing alternative English language practice. The project gets youngsters familiar with customs and traditions of the countries from all over the world and encourages them to develop their cross-cultural thinking and tolerance as well as global thinking and individual initiative. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with millions of combinations of the world s reality. Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Doullens is located in the northern part of the Somme, at the crossroads between Amiens, Arras, and Abbeville. This strategic position places it within easy reach of historical and cultural landmarks, including the stunning Gothic cathedral of Amiens, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the vibrant city of Arras, known for its beautiful squares and underground tunnels. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, Doullens offers a peaceful setting perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking and exploring the region’s rich history. Volunteers will have the opportunity to visit nearby sites like the Baie de Somme, one of France’s most breathtaking natural reserves, Samara archeological parc or explore the remnants of World War I battlefields. You will be accommodated in individual tents within one of the citadel’s gardens, a unique and historic setting. A former jail will serve as a communal living space, providing a dining area and a sheltered retreat in case of bad weather. Sanitary facilities will be available in an annex building, while showers will be accessible at the town’s gym, a 15-minute walk from the campsite. Collective living will be at the heart of this experience: you will share daily tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be managed by the animation team for grocery shopping, and you will be encouraged to use fresh, local, and seasonal products for healthy, mainly vegetarian and delicious meals.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to preserving and showcasing historical heritage while engaging young international volunteers in a mission of discovery and cultural transmission. The city of Doullens and the EPCC are fully dedicated to welcoming volunteers and will ensure a friendly and enriching experience. Many interactions with locals and community members are planned, providing a deep immersion into the region’s culture and history. PEACE is the main theme of this project. The workcamp combines volunteering, learning from history, thinking about peace and the exchange with the local villagers in a special way.
+ Volunteering: There will be various smaller tasks in Hötensleben. You will be doing some maintenance work at the border memorial, mowing and building new wooden seating areas. Other small jobs for the local infrastructure will be added.
+ Learning from history: You will not only work on the border memorial, but will of course also be given a lot of background information on the history of the Iron Curtain and the division of Germany, as well as going on excursions to other thematically relevant places of interest.
Thinking about peace: What is Peace for you? When and how is peace in danger? Share your personal point of view and the reality in your home country with other volunteers and with local villagers.
+ Exchange with local villagers: Peace will be one topic to share and to discuss, but you will also get to know local associations and be able to exchange ideas about everyday life today. They are very excited to meet you and will be glad to share stories with you about their experience in this border area. It would be great if you can speak a bit of German and/or are able to communicate with a phone translator.

Hötensleben is a little village with about 2,500 inhabitants. International workcamps have been taking place there for some 25 years, so local inhabitants are looking forward to welcome the volunteers. Many activities will be done together with locals, e.g. the voluntary fire brigade of Hötensleben. Volunteers should be interested in German contemporary history. We will work at and visit historical places and commemoration sites related to Germany’s history.
You will be given bicycles so that you can be mobile in your free time and, for example, go to the swimming pool.

You will stay in the former village hall that is renovated now and includes several holiday apartments’. They offer a quite comfortable stay and ensure enough room for everyone. There are different sleeping rooms with beds provided and a good equipped kitchen as well. Wifi-acess is limited. Bear in mind that the ground floor of the building is used for different activites during the week, and don’t be scared if you see some unfamiliar faces roaming around!
Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

You will be hosted in a very special village. From 1961 to 1989, the Wall with its martial border fortifications ran right next to the village. It divided Germany into two parts and was part of the so-called Iron Curtain. The people of Hötensleben lived in a restricted zone for almost 30 years and always had the Wall in view. To this day, 400 metres of the border fortifications have been preserved as a memorial and are visited by many visitors. 2025 marks the 35th anniversary of German reunification. This should be taken as a sign of hope for Germany, Korea and the whole world and from the basis for further discussions. Questions about war and peace, migration and its causes, isolation and violence are unfortunately still very topical issues today. This project in Hötensleben gives you the opportunity to learn more about the time of the Iron Curtain and the division of Germany and to reflect on what peace means to you and how you can contribute to it. At the end, you will present your personal perspective on the topic of "peace" to the local villagers and discuss it with them. German speakers are therefore particularly welcome.

You will learn how to use a reporting device, questioning techniques for interviews and studio technology. You will plan and create your own radio programmes, which you will present yourself. The workshop is led by professional radio editors. Your reports will focus on events from the ‘KulturRegionale 2025’ cultural festival, which takes place in Hildesheim from June to September. You are also welcome to bring along your favourite songs for a music programme!

Background: Amphibians are among the most endangered native animal species groups. Of the 20 native amphibian species found in Germany, only 6 species are not endangered according to the current Red List. In some regions, some have already disappeared. In order to preserve these fascinating animals in the long term, habitat protection is no longer sufficient. For this reason, conservation breeding of particularly endangered species is becoming increasingly important. In this way, the species can be preserved in the long term under controlled conditions and also be available as donor populations for reintroduction projects.
Project objective: Construction of an outdoor facility for keeping and breeding endangered amphibian species
For the nature-identical keeping of amphibians, the construction of a spacious outdoor terrarium makes sense. Only in the open air are the animals exposed to the effects of the weather and seasons in the same way as in the wild, but they are protected from their natural enemies. In order to create a near-natural habitat, it is necessary to provide all sub-habitats such as the summer habitat, the reproduction water and a hibernation area. In addition, a species-appropriate design with hiding places, natural vegetation and basking areas is required. The common goal is to build an open-air terrarium of more than 200 m² under expert guidance and to produce the interior furnishings. The interior design is of particular interest. The design for the target species yellow-bellied toad, tree frog and midwife toad must be planned together. The area is then jointly modeled and equipped with typical biotope props. This includes the construction of one or more spawning ponds and a hibernation site as well as the provision of daytime hiding places made of stone layers, dry stone walls, wood piles and rootstocks. These must be placed according to the requirements of the species being cultivated and combined with suitable natural planting. The first inhabitants can be introduced once the enclosure has been successfully established.

The "Alte Nebel" between Lüssow and Bützow was the original course of the "Nebel" river. The lowlands along the river have been used intensively for decades, mainly as grassland and arable land, creating rather poor conditions for the local ecosystem.
The task of the State Forestry Agency was to create a development corridor with site-typical trees and shrubs along the "Alte Nebel" in order to accelerate the slow, natural forest development and to greatly reduce the input of plant protection products and fertilisers.
To this end, more than 200,000 trees such as willows, red alders, pedunculate oaks, fluttering elms, downy birches and a wide variety of forest edge shrubs have been planted along around 14 km of the river since 2018.
However, since the beaver has also found a new home along the "Alte Nebel", a large number of trees must now be protected from browsing by the beaver.
In 2023 and 2024, the first two workcamp groups each protected over 600 trees using wire trousers.
You are now continuing this work and will also protect 600 to 700 trees on an area of approx. 4 hectares. The wire trousers are made from wildlife fencing, which is cut to a length of 2.2 metres, knotted together and erected. Second oldest workcamp in YRS focuses on the natural protected reserve "Kraljevac" and what it has to offer to the locals and visitors.
In order to preserve the important balance in the zone, volunteers will work on the areas around the lake, cleaning up the bank, taking care of the fishing place, restoring the paths, etc. There are, also, some bad plants (roots, invasive species) that need to be removed, so that the eco-system can thrive. Also, some areas with long grass will be cut and restored in order. Benches and places for visitors will be fixed, if necessary.

On the edge of Deliblatska peščara (Deliblato Sands, the largest sand area in Europe), in the midst of the Vojvodina plains, in the picturesque village of Deliblato, lies an oasis of peace-Special Nature Reserve Kraljevac. Lake Kraljevac with its floating and permanently anchored islands, surrounding reedbeds, woodlands, meadows, and pastures supports a rich diversity of plant and animal life. Floating islands continually change the surrounding landscape, so sometimes it all gives an impression of being in some magical lands. Those islands, together with the permanently anchored ones are remnants of lowland peat bogs, globally one of the rarest and most threatened habitats, so they represent one of Serbia’s last refuges of the relict plant community of Marsh Fern and Grey Willow. The area is also part of internationally important zone for protected birds (IBA). Many of them live in surroundings or come by to eat. Purple and squacco heron (Ardea purpurea, Ardeola ralloides), night heron (Nycticorax nycticorax), alcids (Alcidae) are just some among many different species that visit the area.
During leisure hours volunteers will have a chance to go on boat rides to get to know surrounding nature. Also, excursions to the interesting places nearby can be organized.
For the end, there is possibility that the volunteers will participate in educational workshops with local children.
Just bing the patience and smile and it will be one unforgettable adventure!

All volunteers and camp-leaders will be accommodated in the Education and Research Centre in Special Natural Reserve Kraljevac in 2-bed, 3-bed and 5-bed rooms (linen included, sleeping bag is not required) with shared toilets and showers.

The Sport Fishing Association “Deliblato Lake” was established in 2000 with the aim to promote sport fishing and nature conservation among the local community and young people in Deliblato. It manages Special Nature Reserve Kraljevac that was declared “the first category protected area of greatest national importance” by the Government of the Republic of Serbia in 2009. We invite 12 international volunteers to help continue the construction of the Celtic housing complex in Bopfingen. So far, seven workcamp groups, local volunteers of the community of Bopfingen and a team of professional craftsmen have been working on the three houses of the Celtic housing complex. Your task will be to continue the work there by finishing the walls and floors. The working place is set on the top of the hill “Ipf”, so you will be working outside a lot with a wonderful view over the region. All the materials you work with are natural materials like clay, wood, and stone. The work will be led by a professional instructor, so no previous experience is needed. Expect manual work! You will work around 30 hours per week, somewhere between 8am to 4pm from Monday to Friday with a 1-2 hour lunchbreak.

Bopfingen is a small town in southern Germany. It has a beautiful centre with a lot of houses in old German style. What makes Bopfingen special is the hill next to the town which is called “Ipf” with its flat plateau on the top. The “Ipf” has an important historical meaning in this area. In former times, the Celts lived there and until today a lot of archaeologists and historians come to explore the region. It is surrounded by beautiful nature where you can go for a walk or hike. Around Bopfingen, you will find various museums, the romantic historic city of Nördlingen, and the Ries (a large circular meteor impact crater with a diameter of 24 km). If you would like to visit a bigger city, Ulm is not far away with its famous cathedral and the highest church tower in the world.

You will be staying at a local gym hall at about 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre and 15 minutes from the train station. You will all sleep in the very big main room of the gym hall. Camp beds are provided but please bring your own sleeping bag! In the gym hall there is also a kitchen which you can use for cooking, tables and chairs, different toilets which can be separated by gender and one bathroom with one shower. Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

The town of Bopfingen invites an international workcamp for the seventh time this year! A couple years back, researchers found archaeological evidence from the Celtic people that used to live here thousands of years ago in the Iron Age. The town’s project for the next years is to rebuild some of the houses in Celtic style to show tourists how the Celts may have lived in this area. By participating to this project you contribute to protecting the local cultural heritage in a sustainable way (UN SDG 9 and 11). You will also be part of the strong partnership between international volunteers and this project in Bopfingen, as international workcamps have helped with building the complex almost every year.

Would you like to do some manual work and learn circus skills? Then this workcamp is the right place for you. ?Learning by doing? is the order of the day, so you can try things out and contribute your skills and ideas to the projects.
Over the course of a week, you will show off your manual and gardening skills and beautify the grounds of the Jokes Circus School, a children's and youth project with a real circus tent.
In addition to the tent, there are mainly shipping containers on the site, which serve as offices, toilets, storage rooms, dining and meeting rooms and will also be used by you during the camp. You will carry out various gardening and craft activities to beautify and improve the circus grounds. You will mainly be involved in woodwork, roof construction and painting. And you will be building at a circus wagon!
In the other week you will take part in an exciting artistic and circus training workshop! Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of circus and try your hand at various disciplines. Learn the art of body control through acrobatics, which includes floor, aerial and partner acrobatics. Balance on a tightrope, ride a unicycle or master complex jumps and figures. Or you can discover the skill of juggling, where you hold several objects in the air at the same time and create impressive patterns with balls, clubs, rings and diabolos.
Dare to take to the air and try your hand at aerial acrobatics, which includes performances such as trapeze, vertical scarf, straps and aerial rings. This discipline requires strength, flexibility and courage. Do you prefer to stay on the ground? Then learn the art of comedy and entertainment through clowning, where you make people laugh with facial expressions, gestures, slapstick and humour.

In 1998, young circus enthusiasts founded their own circus school together with artists and teachers. Since then, young and young-at-heart artists from 4 to 99 years have been able to help shape the circus school.

If you like being outdoors in nature, spending evenings around the campfire, exploring the forest with people from all over the world in adventure activities and working hands-on in the forest together with the foresters, then this project at the Hahnhorst Forest Education Centre is exactly the one for you. The study part of the project consists of various workshops such as making a fire, reading tracks, carving course, bow and arrow, adventure night hike, herbs/forest fruits excursion and orienteering. By taking part in the workshops, you will be well prepared for the overnight stay in the forest. You will also spend 4 hours a day working with foresters and forestry workers on nature conservation projects in the forest, helping to improve the quality of habitats for rare animal and plant species and protect the climate. The forestry work starts early in the morning. The survival workshops take place in the afternoons.

Participants will have time to put the theory about photography into practice, exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant will be selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods, and laptops, if possible. While learning about photography, the participants have the opportunity to explore Icelandic culture through active participation: capturing it, engaging with it, and showcasing their work throughout the camp. One of our goals is to empower young people to use photography to highlight environmental and cultural subjects and issues.Participants should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and working within a flexible schedule. Participants will be photographing in their free time outside of workshop hours with images to be discussed at group feedback sessions.This camp is open to participants aged 16 to 20. During their stay, SEEDS organises a programme that combines learning, sharing, getting to know Iceland and its culture, and having fun while exploring the city and some of the most stunning natural attractions in the Golden Circle and Reykjanes Peninsula excursions. Note that this is a learning/sharing camp and not a regular workcamp; this project has a smaller volunteer work part and emphasises the personal learning process over the community impact. We may be able to organise some outdoor voluntary work, but it depends on our partners and the weather conditions.

SEEDS participants will stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. As participants sleep in shared rooms with up to 6 people, everyone is expected to behave considerately. Please bring your own towel. Participants will receive food supplies and be in charge of the cooking and cleaning activities. Note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music or games from your country for the intercultural evening. Be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

This camp allows volunteers to learn about global and local environmental issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits, as well as to contribute directly to environment protection by joining outdoor cleanup tasks. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

The Environmental Awareness and amp; Action project is part of a series of camps organised by SEEDS in cooperation with different partners. SEEDS collaborates with the Icelandic Ministry for Environment and Natural Resources, the City of ReykjavEk, and several local stakeholders on a project to clean up the Icelandic coastline. Partners include the Blue Army, an organisation dedicated to the cause of coastal cleaning, SORPA, the waste collection and amp; management entity in the capital area, and Whales of Iceland, an exhibit showcasing life-size models of whales and porpoises to educate the public about their lives and the impact of human activity on their existence.

LOCATION: The accommodation is located an hour drive south-east from ReykjavEk. The house serves as an environmental-educational centre and sits under IngElfsfjall, The Mountain of IngElfur, with a view of EyjafjallajEkull where the volcanic eruptions began in March and April 2010. The place is registered as natural Icelandic heritage; the nature, vegetation and birdlife is rich in variety and quantity. The volunteers can enjoy outdoor activities in a peaceful and beautiful location with a small stream and a pond nearby. Hiking trails with maps about cultural heritage can be found throughout the area, which is a popular attraction among both foreign and local visitors. The nearest town, Selfoss, only 10 minutes-drive away, with 6500 inhabitants, is a centre of commerce and small industries where you find a geothermal swimming pool, shops, museums, cafEs and bars.

VOLUNTEERING: There is a range of dates available for this project from 2-5 weeks. Volunteers will be part of an amazing ‘Camp counselling’ team where they will help shadow and learn the role of how to be part of an amazing Summer Camp team. Volunteers will help run games and activities with the young campers, making sure that they have a fun and memorable experience. Volunteers will also help to ensure that the camp is kept clean, tidy and safe by taking turns in cleaning the communal areas and making sure everything is running smoothly.
Volunteers will also have training and reading prior to the start of the camp to prepare for the role.

LOCATION AND LEISURE: Camp Crusoe’s home for the summer is the absolutely fantastic Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre in East Anglia, Norfolk near historic Cambridge. It is set in glorious private woodland with views of the rolling landscape, large fields and forest. Volunteers will enjoy socialising with other counsellors and during leisure time can go biking, swimming and canoeing.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD: An essential element of Summer Camp is the cabin experience. Campers sleep in a number of secure and modern cabins, separated into two cabin glades by gender. Each cabin has 5 beds, with volunteer cabins integrated throughout each glade – staff will not be sharing with campers, but with other volunteers. There is outdoor block very nearby with loos and hot showers, but also girls and boys facilities in the main house. All meals are provided by kitchen staff, if you have any dietary requirements please let Concordia know in advance.
As well as the purpose built main house and the cabin glades, there is a vast number of exciting activities on site such as the climbing wall, zip line, archery range, challenge zone and caving system, plus areas to chill out such as the yurt, log barns and hammock sanctuary, and then many bike trails and easy river access for swimming, canoeing and Kayaking.
IMPORTANT: – Even in the British Summertime it can be VERY COLD AT NIGHT – please ensure you bring enough warm clothes. Wet weather clothing and footwear is also strongly recommended, as the site can get muddy and even the summer can bring a rainy day.

PROJECT: Camp Crusoe is the quintessentially British Summer Camp experience, where campers feel connected, valued, challenged and supported. The host wants every camper to have a fun experience and is passionate about ‘making the most of every moment’. Camp Crusoe is a fun and adventurous camp and not a summer school. Camp Crusoe prides themselves on being a small camp that cares, there are no more than 80 campers per week stay; the host is passionate that community bonds are formed throughout their stay at camp and friendships that remain long after camp has finished.
The extensive programme of activities from water sports to drama, archery to photography, appeals to every type of child, offering the opportunity for each camper to grow in confidence, improve their decision-making skills and maybe discover a new lifelong hobby. We don’t try to cram too much in and allow just the right amount of time for campers to hangout, make new friends and play together. Camp Crusoe is a small, independent camp run by a close-knit team of friends and family who are committed to enriching children’s lives. Just a few kilometers from Vienne and an hour from Lyon, the commune offers a peaceful environment that s still close to major routes. Following on from the workcamps carried out in 2007 and 2008, Saint-Alban-du-Rhone is keen to welcome back a team of volunteers to help beautify and enhance the area.

Each day of the camp will have a program completed by local coordinators and the volunteers will be helping to realize it. The main activities will be intercultural learning through finding differences and similarities between Estonia and countries, where volunteers come from (history, traditions, language, singing, dancing). It will be done through games, drama, sport, discussions. We expect that volunteers would lead a workshop connected with their culture (traditional dances, games, everyday life, food specialities, etc.) It can be educational one or as a game to play. Therefore we look for active volunteers with good knowledge of history and culture of their country and ability to present it. Taevaskoja Youth Camp is adventurous hiking camp that has been active for over 30 years. The aim of Taevaskoja camp is to support children s development through non-formal education. During the youth camp kids participate in different workshops about health, safety, culture and enjoy climbing and hiking activities. Taevaskoja is located in South-Estonia, about 220 km from Tallinn. The camp site is very close to the one of the most popular natural touristic place - Suur Taevaskoda (The Large Heaven s Hall), surrounded by beautiful forest and close to the one of the longest rivers in Estonia. Such location brings children closer to unspoiled nature and gives them an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Estonian national heritage richly presented in the area. The camp aims also to develop children s knowledges about different cultures and support the growth of tolerance. To do that Taevaskoja Youth Camp invites international volunteers to join the camp as animators. Children come to Taevaskoja camp from all over Estonia. Most of them have basic knowledge of English and are very happy to have a chance to practice it.
