These cleanup tasks may be arranged in partnership with the above mentioned organisations or run solely by SEEDS. We also aim to involve the local community, so some of our events may be open to the public. We hope participants will learn how to plan and carry out their own trash cleaning projects back at home. This project is based on similar activities around the world, where outstanding results have been achieved with volunteers. Volunteers can choose one of the two options below, included as hands-on volunteering activity in the camp:A day trip combining a visit to the Hellisheioi geothermal power plant, a trash collection in the area, and the Hot River Hike, a hike up a valley filled with hot springs where one can bathe. A day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula, combined with a coastal cleanup in the area.Please note that all activities are subject to weather conditions and the availability of our partners.This camp combines learning, sharing, hands-on work and fun. No previous experience is needed. Volunteers should prepare to share environmental issues from their countries and be ready to spend time outdoors, walking medium to long distances during the cleanups, and during other activities such as sightseeing. Since a part of the project happens outdoors, volunteers should be ready to adapt and be flexible with the work and free-time schedule. Depending on the weather, we may not be able to perform some of the activities as planned.

ACCOMMODATION: SEEDS volunteers stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. Everyone is expected to show consideration for their companions. Accommodation is in shared rooms, with up to 6 people per room. Please bring your own towel. Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Please note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

PROJECT: The Environmental Awareness and Action project is part of a series of camps organised by SEEDS in cooperation with different partners. SEEDS collaborates with the Icelandic Ministry for Environment and Natural Resources, the City of Reykjavik, and several local stakeholders on a project to clean up the Icelandic coastline. Partners include the Blue Army, an organisation dedicated to the cause of coastal cleaning, SORPA, the waste collection and management entity in the capital area, and Whales of Iceland, an exhibit showcasing life-size models of whales and porpoises to educate the public about their lives and the impact of human activity on their existence.This camp allows volunteers to learn about global and local environmental issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits, as well as to contribute directly to environment protection by joining outdoor cleanup tasks.

The camp is based at AlviE(ra, which offers a range of activities to connect people with nature, such as community gardens, wildlife workshops, school programs, and hikes. As part of the camp, volunteers help maintain the center through tasks like gardening, renovating the house and other projects such as removing old fences to protect wildlife, marking walking paths, and potentially do forestry work like trimming or planting trees.This camp combines learning, sharing, hands-on work and fun. The accommodation is located an hour drive south-east from ReykjavEk. The house serves as an environmental-educational centre and sits under IngElfsfjall, The Mountain of IngElfur, with a view of EyjafjallajEkull where the volcanic eruptions began in March and April 2010. The place is registered as natural Icelandic heritage; the nature, vegetation and birdlife is rich in variety and quantity. The volunteers can enjoy outdoor activities in a peaceful and beautiful location with a small stream and a pond nearby. Hiking trails with maps about cultural heritage can be found throughout the area, which is a popular attraction among both foreign and local visitors. The nearest town, Selfoss, only 10 minutes-drive away, with 6500 inhabitants, is a centre of commerce and small industries where you find a geothermal swimming pool, shops, museums, cafEs and bars.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

In the heart of Roye, the ancient ramparts have stood the test of time?but now they need your help! Join this project and help restore this historic site, a place where locals pass by every day, bringing back its colors and charm.
Your mission? Clean and clear the overgrown vegetation before repairing and repointing the damaged sections using traditional masonry techniques. No experience needed?you?ll learn everything on-site! Beyond the work, you?ll also help rediscover this forgotten landmark by sharing its story with the local community.
Expect a warm welcome from the people of Roye! A special opening ceremony with the town hall, meetings with locals, and activities with the beneficiaries of the Social Action Community Center (CCAS) will make your stay even more memorable. Take part in the renovation of the Sauldre canal basin, a natural and historical heritage in the heart of the Sologne, in Lamotte-Beuvron, about two hours away from Paris.
The basin used to be a harbor and a manoeuvring area for barges carrying rock cargoes.
Located in the town centre, the basin and the esplanade around it are in the heart of a development project led by the town council.
In the continuity of a workcamp organised last year, your mission will be to repair the stone riprap that composes the structure of the basin. You will need to remove the weed from the banks and fix the disjointed stones by using traditional masonry techniques.
Some of the work will be performed from a floating platform. Even if the water is low in summer, it is essential to know how to swim to participate in this workcamp.

Only two hours from the south of Paris, surrounded by woods and ponds which embellish the Sologne, the town of Lamotte-Beuvron is known as the home of the largest equestrian centre in Europe. It is appreciated for its gastronomy, especially for the famous apple dessert: the very tasty Tarte Tatin. You will undoubtedly have the opportunity to discover this sweet dessert while visiting the village in your free time. The city of Orleans, the regional capital of the area, is also easily accessible by public transport.

Your accommodation will be at a 20-minute walk from the worksite. You will have your own tent (provided by Concordia), on the field of the stadium close to the House of Sports, where you will have access to sanitary facilities, showers, as well as a kitchen and a common room. You will share various collective tasks (cleaning, activities, etc.). A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with shopping and cooking, prioritizing healthy, local products. Feel free to bring your own recipes, it's a great opportunity to share your history and culture with the group. A washing machine and a laundromat will be available (it is still recommended to bring 2 weeks of clothes). WIFI will be available in the town hall or through hotspot.

The work site will take place in a rural environment. For practical and ecological reasons, travel will mainly be on foot or by bicycle. Remember to bring gloves, clothes and shoes suitable for outdoor work. Don't forget to bring a sleeping bag and a floor mat, summer and rain clothes, as well as a swimsuit and toiletries. You can also use a pillowcase as a pillow by filling it up. You can bring board games, a music instrument or anything from your region/country that you want to share with the group, as well as a Bluetooth speaker. Please note that volunteers must be able to swim !
On the last day (22/08), the departure time is usually set in the morning.

The town of Lamotte-Beuvron has been working for years to rehabilitate the Sauldre canal. This is the fifth time that a workcamp is organised here. Built on the orders of Napoleon III, the canal drains into the Lamotte-Beuvron's basin. Abandoned almost a century ago, the canal has now become a tourist trail, located both on the equestrian route linking Chambord to Sancerre and on the Grande Randonnee trail no. 31, which is very popular amongst nature lovers.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) since 2018 in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) is a non-profit organization that caters to the needs of children in and around Chow Kit. They run two drop-in centers in Chow Kit and one safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship. YCK operate in partnership with Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. YCK developed out of Nur Salam and was incorporated in 2011. The past workcamps since 2018 Sep. have been successful and in 2024, 48 vols. from Japan, Mexico and Italy joined 4 workcamps with creating great impact!

Volunteers will join the summer festival called TORO NAGASHI that is a memorial service for ancestors by making lanterns named TORO and floating them down a river. Volunteers will make large TORO (2 x 2 meters) for the festival in this workcamp. Project aims to mobilize the local community with workcampers. Through this workcamp, the local community will be much more activated, redeveloping pride for their community!

To the sound of the murmur of water, you will take part in the maintenance and restoration of the structures of 3 mills on the Sevre Niortaise river, in the communes of Sainte-Neomaye, Saint-Martin de Saint-Maixent, and La Creche. You'll be repairing bank walls, restoring a footbridge and clearing a water passage. Some traditional masonry techniques, such as working with hydrated lime and clay, will be taught to you by a specialist technical supervisor. You will be supervised and accompanied by the owners of the mills throughout the work. You will also be able to learn about certain hydraulic systems.

At the crossroads of some pretty little villages in the Deux-Sevres, you can make the most of the local heritage. Visits to the region will be organised collectively according to your wishes, for example the silver mines of the kings of France, the cinema, the municipal swimming pool, etc. You can also discover local towns such as Niort and Celles-sur-Belle. Leisure time and local activities will encourage you to meet the locals!

Accommodation will be in tents for one or two people, at the Saint-Maixent municipal campsite (79400). You will need to bring your own warm duvet and pillow, and we will provide inflatable mattresses. Food will be provided for all meals, with a budget managed collectively by the group and the leaders. With your feet in the water, you'll be helping to renovate the mills on the Sevre Niortaise river, which date back to the 12th century. For many years, this river powered the mills in the villages of Sainte-Neomaye, Saint-Martin-de-Saint-Maixent and La Creche. Today, these mills are an integral part of the local historical heritage. This project is being carried out in partnership with the ?Association Syndicale Libre des Riverains de la Sevre Niortaise?, which manages the hydraulic activity of 25 mills and supports the owners in preserving their natural heritage. This project will give you the chance to contribute to the enhancement of this ancient heritage, while working in the heart of an exceptional natural setting.

With your help, we would like to carry out urgent work to preserve the historic railway station site. Nature is reclaiming what once belonged to it and working against memory. Together with your help and the support of the village, we want to fight against oblivion and make the station grounds visible again. The work you carry out will take place outside and is mostly horticultural: this means physical labour with hoes, saws and spades to clear the site of wild growth and bushes. Work can be physically demanding!
During the work you will have the opportunity to learn a lot about the place and to talk to the local people and hear how they perceived the different periods. The Jamlitz railway station is also run in cooperation with the nearby Lieberose Memorial in Jamlitz and the young residents are often involved in its upkeep. You can also become active at the memorial site and help to maintain the greenery and work against forgetting.
In our bicycle workshop, you can repair bicycles and take them on trips to the nearby Schwansee lake and through the meadows and forests.

Jamlitz is situated in a very rural location and has many exciting things to offer in addition to relaxing nature, bathing lakes and a historic landscape that can be explored on foot or by bike. At the end of the 19th century, Berlin artists discovered this place and founded an artists' colony, which still characterises the identity of the village today. During the National Socialist era, a large military training area was to be built here. The project met with resistance from the local population and was never completed. However, a satellite camp of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp was built, which sadly earned the village a reputation as one of the most important sites of the Shoah in Brandenburg. After liberation from National Socialism, both the camp and the military training area continued to be used by Soviet troops. The railway station was at the centre of all these events and today bears witness to the different areas.
You will have the opportunity to get to know the history in various ways. On guided tours and seminars, through conversations with locals and explorations on your own, you can uncover and understand the overlapping layers.
We also think together about which excursions and activities can be organised. Whether a visit Cottbus or Eisenhüttenstadt or Berlin is up to you.

Volunteers will be accommodated in the former railway station, there are rooms with several beds, sleeping bags must be brought along. We will cook and eat together with the residents of the railway station. If you want, you can spend the night in a tent, we can set up tents for this purpose.

Please bring a sleeping bag, possibly a pillow, towel, with you. You will need work clothes, rain gear and sturdy, closed shoes. As it can get cold at night in August, even in summer, please bring warm clothing. Don't forget sun protection in case of strong sun. For your free time, please bring a swimming costume, music, your talents and something specific from your life.
The project is in a very rural location. There is a swimming lake about 15 minutes away by bike. Volunteers should be able to cycle and swim safely.
Alcohol and drugs are not permitted in the project itself. After registration, we require a self-declaration on child and youth protection.

The “Justus Delbrück Haus” | Akademie für Mitbestimmung (Academy for Co-determination) in the former Railway Station Jamlitz is an open place where everyone is welcome and can take part in events such as exhibitions, cinema evenings and other events. The organisation Karuna e.V. (Future for children and young people in need) bought the disused railway station in Jamlitz in 2008 and transformed it back into a lively place. Several organisations are now working together here, filling the past, present and future with life. You will find both a historical site rich with stories to tell and a vibrant space for exchange, where, in addition to educational programmes, leisure activities also take place. Moreover, a residential community for former homeless and decoupled young people has been established. In cooperation with the Lieberose memorial site in Jamlitz, socially disadvantaged children and young people in particular get the opportunity to escape everyday life, take advantage of artistic, historical and experiential educational programmes and experience a democratic and self-determined life. The railway station is located far away from large cities and is surrounded by forests and lakes, meadows and fields. This is very conducive to working with the young people and is part of the educational concept. “Arrive and simply be in the here and now”. Nature conservation and forest management in a great environment as well as relaxation on the Baltic Sea beach!
You can experience both at this camp in the north of Germany. You will work alongside volunteers from all over the world in the forests and nature reserves surrounding the youth forest centre where you will be staying.
Your tasks will include clearing young forest stands, cutting back invasive late-flowering bird cherry, building and erecting wooden fences to protect young trees from game browsing, building raised hides, clearing paths and dismantling old wire fences in the forest. Some of the work can be very strenuous and monotonous. (Note: The actual work to be carried out may differ from that described here).
During the work you will also learn a lot about the protection of the forest and rare habitats in theory and practice. You will also learn how nature and landscape conservation areas can be carefully developed for tourism so that people can make better and more informative use of the beautiful natural environment.
In the first week you will work from Monday to Friday and in the second week from Monday to Thursday.

The Hartenholm youth forest centre is located in the middle of the forest and has beautiful surroundings. The outdoor area includes high seats for game watching, a football pitch, a volleyball court, a barbecue area and a charcoal burner's hut. There is also a table tennis table and table football. At the weekend, trips to one of the wonderful Baltic Sea beaches such as Travemunde or Timmendorfer Strand and to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg are well worthwhile.

Since 2001, this project has been actively working on SDG15 (Protect the richness of land) in collaboration with a local volunteer group "Morito" on Sado Island. The group manages a forest called "Furusato no Mori Park" in Ogi Town, where local people can enjoy the forest in all seasons. The members of this group are all elderly, so they hope that young people and foreign volunteers will empower the area mentally and physically. Volunteers take care of about 5.7 hectares of fields every year (mowing the grass)! Volunteers also parade around the area playing Japanese drums at local festivals. This is also a good encouragement for the area that various people are supporting this place.

school, regional hospital and hub health care of
Southern Thailand.
The program will be various for medical students
to exchange and learn from professional health
care about Thai traditional treatment and the
health care system in Thailand.
Some activities need basic knowledge about
health care that is suitable for medical students
to be trained and learn in real situations.
The program will be in Songkhla Thailand with
many collaboration sectors.
There will be a group of Indonesian medical
students join this program

Volunteers will help in arranging extra activities for the senior citizens, such as art, craft, painting, gardening, storytelling, music and movement activities. Other than that, volunteers could help the nursing care helpers to cook and take part in daily cleaning routines. Some of the days, bring the senior citizens for an evening walk if weather permits. Otherwise lots of, indoor activities could be conduct.

Location: The home is located in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. https://goo.gl/maps/84vfEaSMEaBL2b4x8 Leisure: Visit around Kuala Lumpur city. Wednesday afternoon will be free. The volunteers joining more than 1 unit (week) can have free days in the weekend.

Home stay in the house of MOVE President (Siva san). Male and female will be mixed. The breakfast will be bought at the food stalls, very near to the house (walking distance). The dinner too (or they can also cook at home by themselves if they prefer). Lunch will be provided at Home. Workcampers will be able to try various of local food. Sleeping bag is necessary. They need to keep a good manner not to disturb the family life.

This project is actively working for SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) since 2019 in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Bernice Home was found by a lady by the name of Bernice. She started this home for senior citizens who need quality home care services to seniors with limited mobility or dementia and hence social interaction. She started this home in 2000 and the second home in 2018. The founder belief “life shouldn’t end when you are old, it should be full of happy memories regardless of the age. The founder wants to keep the seniors active and engaged through physical, mental and social activities, all in the comfort of their home.The workcamp was revived in 2023 and in 2024, 8 volunteers from Japan and Hong Kong did great work!
