Since the school is regarded as place where many important activities are happening, it is also notable that many local organizations have strong connection with it. The same will be in this case, as well. The project can be defined only by 3 areas on this platform, so we can't describe everything that will happen there, but here we can write more on that.
Volunteers will do many tasks in cooperation with many associations in Požega. With those of social character, it will be decided which families are in need for additional support, so that volunteers can help to those in danger with their regular activities. Then there will be some visit to the local association of those with cerebral paralysis (help and workshops should be done there). Also, volunteers will be participating in the activities with local Gerontological center, where they might take care of the garden, but also meet older people that will be glad to participate in some workshops with guests.
Still, we shouldn't forget that there will be things to do in school's yard, as well, with picking up the raspberries (one of the Serbian national fruits) and blackberries (another among many; Serbia is simply the land of fruits). Planting seeds, taking out the bad plants, feeding the animals-just few of planned actions that will be done during the stay in this marvellous place.
As volunteers are minors, work will be naturally adjusted to everyone.

Požega is a cute place in rich with nature territory of Western Serbia, with nice center where volunteers can feel the real town atmosphere (it is very alive, especially during the summer). Still, the school itself is located a little bit outside of it, surrounded by parks and fields, so the volunteers can have some free time to relax. School has sports terrains for recreation. The town has swimming pool, so maybe some hot days can be spent there.
Since the participants are minors, their free-time will be very well-organized. Musical nights, hiking, excursions in the area, visit to the cinemas and theater plays (that can be internationally understood of course), intercultural nights, many workshops, language courses, but precise informationS on that will be provided in the Infosheet.
The only thing we will recommend to take with you on this adventure is patience and smile and it will be an eternal pleasant memory!

The volunteers will be accommodated in the school dormitory in the rooms with 2-3 beds and bathroom (practically-3 stars hotel). Linen will be provided.
Food will be prepared together in the kitchen of the dormitory. The workshops on making Serbian traditional meals will be organized several times.

There are no specific requirements (beside Parental agreement and Medical informationS, that will be sent to you in time), but if you want your life easier, bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia.

ProgramCamp program includes team projects, discussions at the round table, social and sport games, performances in the open air, actions for peace and nature protection, meetings with people, visits to museums and sightseeing as well as presentations of the countries that camp participants and volunteers represent, etc. Every day the camp will have a country presentation, a subject to learn or discuss and a related activity. Teenagers will stay in the camp activities zone from 10:00 to 17:00. There will be one day off in the camp and at least one day of travel outside Tallinn. The day off is spent either under the leadership of a member of the school staff or in the host family. Camp activities will take place in the premises of the language school that is situated in the very centre of the city. To activate teenagers and run the program, there will be a group of international volunteers and members of the local school staff. Longer camp shifts include one trip outside Tallinn.

AccommodationThere are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the beginning of the camp):1) In the premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the camp participants accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Apart from bedrooms, the tea-room for rest will be also organized where teenagers might watch films, read and play board games enjoying soft sofas. Bed linen, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, minimum one school staff member and one volunteer will be staying with camp participants overnights to maintain life, catering and general order on the site. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that you must be inside by 22:00 the latest unless supervised outside by a school staff member. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners at school, lunches i together with other camp participants.2) In the host families of some of local participants who will join this camp. The apartments of the host families may be located in Tallinn or its suburbs. Participants will stay in a separate or shared room. You do NOT need a sleeping bag. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners in their host families, lunches i together with other camp participants in the city. Special requirementsWe will welcome any ideas to improve the program and your active participation in it. English is the camp language. The age of international camp participants is 14 i 16. Please be aware that during the day program of the camp the participants will be asked to leave their cell phones at their accommodation site to ensure safety of the participants and their engagement with the camp activities. To assure a safe environment for all the campers, we expect all our camp participants will provide their parents letter of consent (Parental Authorization) and travel insurance certificate.Participation feeUnlike the traditional voluntary camp, there will be mostly informal educational activities and guided language practice. Camp program implementation involves costs for boarding and lodging, domestic transport, materials, excursions, visits, cultural activities and general administration. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Thematic photo and video contests for camp participants will be organized.

The Park Rangers of the National Park Hunsrück-Hochwald are waiting for your support to preserve the fauna and flora in this unique natural environment and to provide endangered species with their original habitats again. At the same time it is a great opportunity for you to learn a lot about this ecosystem, the rangers will show and explain a lot. Three main tasks are waiting for you:
1. Care of the nutrient-poor grassland and arnica meadows (mowing works, work to stop spreading of shrubs etc.). With this work you can protect a valuable habitat with a very high biodiversity. This is especially the case for insects such as bees and butterflies and flowering plants such as orchids.
2. You will work on the wildlife park of Wildenburg Castle. Here you can find wolves, deer, wild boars, wildcats, mouflons and many other animals. Your task will mainly be to renew wooden fences and to build elements where the animals can hide behind. You will also construct wooden barriers to protect small trees from damage through the animals.
3. Let’s give water its natural space back! Within the National Park there are many places where the natural flow of water was changed (through cutting the curves of the streams or drainage channels etc.). In many cases this alteration is negatively impacting the biodiversity of these creeks. You will therefore help to restore the natural flow of the water by closing the channels and revitalizing natural flow elements.
Other environmental protections tasks can be added. Attention: The work might be physically hard and you will get wet and muddy for sure! Please bring hiking boots and working clothes.

The workcamp will take places in the western part of Rhineland-Palatinate. You will stay in Deuselbach, a small village with 260 inhabitants. The local villagers are very much interested to welcome you, many parties and events will happen. Deuselbach has a pub but no shops. The next bigger village (Thalfang) is 4km far, here you can find everything you need (shops, swimming pool…). There are also many tourists in the area as it is well known for hiking all over the year and for skiing in winter. The next bigger city it Trier (40 km), the oldest Germany city with many Roman sights, a huge cathedral and plenty of this to do (vineyard, shopping, clubs…). You will do several excursions with the support of the Park Rangers, e.g. to Trier, the oldest German city with many famous sights.

You will stay in the community centre of Deuselbach. The accommodation is spacious, has a huge kitchen including a dish-washer and a living room, toilets and showers. There is one big sleeping room with camping beds. Wifi and even a washing machine are available. Please bring your sleeping bag.
Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

The National Park Hunsrück-Hochwald is the newest German National Park to protect the nature. The park was just founded in 2015. The landscape is dominated by huge forests, steep hills, small brooks and ponds, rocks and marshes. Only small hamlets interrupt the nature, a perfect region for plenty of different species but also for hiking. You will support the National Park Rangers in their work to preserve the habitat of endangered species and to protect ecologically valuable ecosystems. This workcamp will continue the mission of several Workcamps in the past years.

In this project, volunteers will paint and organize the village's theater building and library together with local volunteers. They will also repair the parts of the village that need repair. Bademler Village is close to Azmak Bay. A traditional sea festival is organized by the villagers in this bay every year. Water games, concerts, group activities are held in the festival. Volunteers will help organize this festival.
Stage setup, sound systems, creation of appropriate areas for group activities, environmental decorations, transportation and other preparations require the support of volunteers.
In case of additional needs of the village, support can be requested from volunteers. Every contribution to the village is very important to us. You may also be interested in making tarhana together with the villagers!

This village is located in Izmir, the third largest city in Turkey. There are many historical and natural beauties around it. There are many different beaches and bays on the seashore. Intercultural and Language (ICL) – Nakhon Ratchasima, learning and sharing the
intercultural and language still are the main purpose. Volunteers will share and exchange
culture, language, and knowledge with the local community and students in the school.
English as the global language and intercultural learning are important for local Thai people
to understand and be for global citizens. English is also the gateway to open mind and
knowledge. The project was created by VSA Thailand and has been successful for eight
years. Former volunteers came to give the opportunity for children in schools and the local
community. Many local people improved their English skills through exchanging with
international volunteers, or at least they try to speak the English language more and dare
to face and work with the foreigner even though they cannot speak English. Moreover,
volunteers’ activities impacted the local community. They used to stay lively and trusty
with the foreigner. Local people have a chance to learn, accept, and adopt the ways of life
with the different cultures.
Ban Krogluek School is a primary school, there are about 10 teachers and 100 students from
kindergarten (2-6 years old), pratomsuksa 1-6 (7-12 years old). VSA has sent volunteers
to this School since 2015.
Ban Maab Grad School is a primary school, there are about 9 teachers, 1 janitor and 60
students from kindergarten (2-6 years old), pratomsuksa 1-6 (7-12 years old). VSA has

Kundapur is a town situated near the beach on the west coast of Karnataka state and is very close to the Network with like-minded people, be a part of our global family and receive regular updates about our events and activities, visit and like our page: https://www.facebook.com/FSLindia •Western Ghats (a mountain ridge). The Western Ghats is India's prime zone for bio-diversity and
is known for its animal and plant species in this region. FSL-India has been involved in developing projects for many years in this region and has now formed a very strong network of local partners and local volunteers. Invariably this is one of the prime locations for FSL-India to initiate development interventions in partnership with the local NGOs and civil society organizations.
The camp will focus on the volunteers to understand the social and cultural aspects of the
community they work. The volunteers will be given experience through interactions, workshops exchange of ideas, need analysis with the support of the team leader, planning and being a part of completing the scheduled work with the group of volunteers to the benefit of the community
and a learning experience to the volunteers.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 15 (Life on Land), organized together with "Akame no SATOYAMA wo Sodateru kai", a local environmental organization for conservation of SATOYAMA forest working in Nabari city since 1999. Because this area is relatively close to the big cities between Osaka and Nagoya, there were plans to build a golf field and a disposal center. However, the local people stopped those plans by collecting donations and buying the land. SATOYAMA needs to be maintained by humans for its biodiversity and water adjustment function. Our ancestors had protected and utilized the forest in an ecological and sustainable way, which has been neglected by modernization at many places in Japan.

This project is actively working on SDG2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG4 (Quality Education), and has been working with Ozuchi Village since 2013. Ozuchi Village was established by local people to preserve the original landscape. In 1916, there were 140 residents and 20 houses, but now only one person lives there. Fortunately, 10 houses remain and the village is designated as a national important traditional buildings preservation district. The village retains the landscape and lifestyle of old Japan that is no longer in existence. In order to preserve this place and culture, we are trying to improve the situation with the power of young volunteers. Since 2016, Ozuchi Village and NICE have started a monthly weekend work camp, and more than 300 volunteers visit the village every year, fall in love with the village, and participate as repeat visitors or support the village in whatever way they can! The local hosts hope to pass this village on to the next generation!*Results of this work camp: The village was abandoned, but one of the former villagers maintained the rice terraces and landscape. However, the work camp gave him such strength that he started living there again in 2018!

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

HOLIDAYS: Volunteers completing a 12-month placement will be entitled to 4 weeks of holiday leave.

For the long-term placement of a year, you will have to pay an Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) which will cost £1035 this allows you to access the National Healthcare Service during your stay in the UK. The work will be consisted of 3 parts. First one concerns painting of 10 informative signs with protective material. After that, they will be put onto planned locations. Second task will be preparing wooden baskets for trash (the volunteers will assemble the parts first) and placing them at specific positions, so the visitors can throw the trash in the right spot. Third one will be two big actions of cleaning the lake area, so everybody can enjoy in beautiful nature.

Lake Gruza (Gruža; pronounced: Gruzha) is located in the central region of Serbia, in the municipality Knić, not far from Kragujevac, regional center, that uses the water from it for drinking. It is surrounded by beautiful nature (even intact in many places), so the guests like to come here often (especially on weekends)! The water is rich in fish, especially carp and pikeperch. Also, this zone is a home for many rare and protected birds (IBA area).
The camp will take place on the edge of the lake, practically, in the center that is suitable for lectures, but also outdoor activities. In the center, there is permanent exhibition "Life in water", that is about different water organisms that live in Serbia and Yugoslavia/Balkan area.
Educative workshops will be organized, as well as some excursions, but more details on that will be written in the Infosheet.
In every case, bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures is really important to the host!

The volunteers will be accommodated in the Eco-informative center "Jezero Gruža (Lake Gruza)". There will be 2 possibilities, to sleep in the tents in front of it and inside the center on mattresses. In both cases, everything will be provided (tents and sleeping bags in first case and bed-linens in the second). Still, if you bring your own, we will not make any problems. Haha.
Food will be provided from local farmers and volunteers will have the opportunity to make some meals for the others. Still, there will be no pressure about it.

The work will be consisted of 3 parts. First one concerns painting of 10 informative signs with protective material. After that, they will be put onto planned locations. Second task will be preparing wooden baskets for trash (the volunteers will assemble the parts first) and placing them at specific positions, so the visitors can throw the trash in the right spot. Third one will be two big actions of cleaning the lake area, so everybody can enjoy in beautiful nature.
Luogo
Lake Gruza (Gruza; pronounced: Gruzha) is located in the central region of Serbia, in the municipality Knic, not far from Kragujevac, regional center, that uses the water from it for drinking. It is surrounded by beautiful nature (even intact in many places), so the guests like to come here often (especially on weekends)! The water is rich in fish, especially carp and pikeperch. Also, this zone is a home for many rare and protected birds (IBA area).
The camp will take place on the edge of the lake, practically, in the center that is suitable for lectures, but also outdoor activities. In the center, there is permanent exhibition "Life in water", that is about different water organisms that live in Serbia and Yugoslavia/Balkan area.
Educative workshops will be organized, as well as some excursions, but more details on that will be written in the Infosheet.
In every case, bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures is really important to the host!
Alloggio
The volunteers will be accommodated in the Eco-informative center "Jezero Gruza (Lake Gruza)". There will be 2 possibilities, to sleep in the tents in front of it and inside the center on mattresses. In both cases, everything will be provided (tents and sleeping bags in first case and bed-linens in the second). Still, if you bring your own, we will not make any problems. Haha.
Food will be provided from local farmers and volunteers will have the opportunity to make some meals for the others. Still, there will be no pressure about it.
Requisiti e materiali
There are no specific requirements, but if you want to make your Life easier, bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer.

Ekomar is an association whose goal is promotion and ecological marketing of natural resources. It is founded in 2015. and from that moment they work diligently on spreading the ideas of good ecological practices. Their focus is mainly on the work with youngsters through different projects and programmes. Important outcome of the efforts in last years is the informative Eco-center on the lake Gruza, whose aim is to educate people about the importance of water eco-systems. Every year thousands of kids visit the center, where they can learn a lot about different ecological topics. The team has biologists, ecologists and pedagogists.
Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. Voluntary Service of Serbia is a volunteer exchange service center founded in 1990 as one of the sectors of YRS.

In the mornings, you'll help renovate the farm where our animals live. These activities will include removing the old and deteriorated fence, cleaning and preparing the terrain, creating new poles with wood and installing the new fence with long-lasting materials, strengthening the access areas to facilitate the circulation and care of the animals, and some final details such as safety adjustments and various decorative elements to give more vibrancy to the farm. Contribute to this project that combines preservation and enhancement of rural life! Together, we'll build a safe and welcoming environment for the animals and for future generations to come.

Afternoon and weekend activities are organized collectively with the whole group. The region is rich in space for walking, swimming, celebrating, and discovering!
Alloggio
You will be accommodated in collective non-mixed tents (6-8 people per tent) with floors and beds, at the Creneau campsite. Wi-Fi is not available on site. Food will be provided and prepared in the chateau kitchen by you and other participants in groups, with the support of the kitchen supervisors.
