They need to keep a good manner not to disturb the family life.

MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Bernice Home was found by a lady by the name of Bernice. She started this home for senior citizens who need quality home care services to seniors with limited mobility or dementia and hence social interaction. She started this home in 2000 and the second home in 2018. The founder belief “life shouldn’t end when you are old, it should be full of happy memories regardless of the age. The founder wants to keep the seniors active and engaged through physical, mental and social activities, all in the comfort of their home.The workcamp was revived in 2023 and in 2024, 8 volunteers from Japan and Hong Kong did great work!

XIV century fortress close to Belgrade waits for volunteers of 15th workcamp to find out the mysterious building in the Vojvodina plaines. The task will be conservation of structure that will be done together with the archeologists and some students maybe. There will, also, be some digging and some cleaning of the artefacts (metals and bones) that will be found.
The specificity of this year is work on repairing parts of walls that will take place for the first time in many years.
On some days, participants might take out the invasive plants and collect the trash in surrounding area, that endanger the fortress.
In the middle of the camp, popular local festival "Kupinik-Days of Dragons" with medieval topics will be held on the fortress. Volunteers will help in the organization, but will also have opportunity to participate in various activities (workshops and games, gaining new valuable skills).

Kupinovo is a village located in the municipality of Pećinci, Serbia. As of 2011 census, the village has 1,866 inhabitants. It is near the famous biodiversity area, the Obedska bara (Obedska pond or bog). Kupinovo is a place rich in cultural and historical sights. The most interesting are: Kupinik Fortress, a medieval fortification from the 14th century, the Church of Saint Luke from the half of the 15th century (the oldest Serbian church in the area), the Church of Mother Angelina from the 16th century and the ethno-complex with objects of folk architecture.
The end of village is the beginning of a huge forest, so pleasant walks can be taken daily. Also, the important river Sava is very near, so going to its banks, can also be one relaxing leisure activity. Swimming is possible, although the beach is not big and decorated.
Since the village is not full of activities and local youth is not numerous, days can be really long there (which suits to some people that seek a quiet place to have rest of fast civilization, but is terrible to the others who want constant dynamic constellation), so be aware of it. Depending on the group preferences, different activities can be organized. At least one visit to Belgrade (capital of Serbia and jewel of world culture) will take place (there are many buses during the day).
In surroundings there are few museums and aqua-parks, but the transport is not great, so some creativity and flexibility in planning is always welcome!
In every case, the project can be wonderful, but also boring, it is up to the group, so we recommend you only to bring patience and smile, because with them you will have unforgettable adventure in remote Serbian village with friendly locals!

The volunteers will either stay in two renovated ethno-houses in Ethno Park in Kupinovo, either in the house where previous village offices were (the precise information will be in the Infosheet). In every case, it will be on beds inside.
The food will be prepared for the volunteers by local housewives, with the accent on national cuisine (a lot of meat prepared in creative ways, but vegetarian meals will be possible, of course).
Requisiti e materiali
There are no specific requirements, but if you want to enjoy more, bring the sunscreen and the mosquito repellent, it can really be helpful.

Active for climate protection and biodiversity – save the peatlands in the Hunsrück area.
You will actively contribute to protecting some special peatlands, which are situated on the slopes of the lower mountain range called “Hunsrück”. These areas were drained more than 100 years ago for forestry use but they are a valuable and natural Co2 storage. Therefore the revitalisation of these peatlands was started, Under the supervision of a Park Ranger you will improve the water balance in the moor areas in order to renature the moors, and also to help the moors to arrange better with the consequences of climate change . The measures will include closing some ditches as well as other small interventions to control the water flow. The work is expected to take place in two different Hunsrück peatland areas: A peatland forest area near the tiny village of Hochscheid and an area of open moorland near Morbach. As this one moor has been opened up for tourism, one task might be the closure of a ditch under a footbridge used along a hiking trail. This will make the revitalised moor more visible for hikers and offers the opportunity for environmental education activities. During the work and on some excursions, the park ranger will introduce you to many aspects of the ecological background.
Attention: The work might be physically hard and you will get wet and muddy for sure! Please bring hiking boots, rubber boots and working clothes.

The workcamp will take places in the western part of Rhineland-Palatinate. You will stay in Deuselbach, a small village with 260 inhabitants. The local villagers are very much interested to welcome you, many parties and events will happen. Deuselbach has a pub but no shops. The next bigger village (Thalfang) is 5km far, here you can find everything you need (shops, swimming pool…). There are also many tourists in the area as it is well known for hiking all over the year and for skiing in winter. The next bigger city it Trier (40 km), the oldest Germany city with many Roman sights, a huge cathedral and plenty of this to do (vineyard, shopping, clubs…). You will do several excursions with the support of the Park Rangers, e.g. to Trier, the oldest German city with many famous sights.

You will stay in the community centre of Deuselbach. The accommodation is spacious, has a huge kitchen including a dish-washer and a living room, toilets and showers. There is one big sleeping room with camping beds. Wifi and even a washing machine are available. Please bring your sleeping bag.
Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

A century ago, Yenping Street was the downtown with prosperity, but nowadays, as business gradually declined, the residents moved away from Xiluo and Yenping Street have become quieter. As a result, many houses have started to decay. Because of the Community Renaissance movement conducted by Luoyoung Foundation and local government, the street becomes prosperous again In the past 9 years, we have invited many cultural groups and artists to visit and stay in Xiluo, and host different performances. At the same time, we are committed to promoting the art of sculpture and reserve more than 40 pieces of public art for Xiluo. They are arranged at the head of the Grand Xiluo Bridge and the Sculpture Park. We also hosted 11 international work camps focusing on renovating heritage houses.However, there are many sculptures that need to be refurbished, painted, maintained, and guaranteed. Tibet has maintained a unique culture, religion and language for centuries. After the Chinese invasion in 1950, the Dalai Lama, Tibet’s political and religious leader sought and was given asylum in India, along with thousands of Tibetan refugees. Today, there is a thriving settlement in Dharamshala, which is called Tibet-in-exile.
To learn about Tibetan culture and religion, there are many places of interest at Dharamshala. Tsuglagkhang, Mcleodganj the residence of the Dalai Lama is a must-visit, as are the Tibet Museum, Dalai Lama temple, Tibetan Parliament House, Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, War Memorial and Kangra Art Museum. There will mainly focus on conserving the group of monuments of cultural heritage site at Hampi.
For the last 10 years, FSL India has been working with UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the management of local schools, local NGOs, INTACH and the local tour guide association. Concentrate on the protection of its cultural heritage, sites of historical importance and on creating awareness among the locals, school children, tour-guides and tourists, to infuse a sense of responsibility towards the protection of these priceless monuments. Here, you will help to convert dry areas into beautiful, restful spots by planting trees and flowering plants. Street plays to create awareness, creativity, physical work and archaeological delights are all hallmarks of this unique work camp

Some of the fun things to do at Hampi are taking a coracle ride in the nearby Tungabhadra river.
These round cane boats have been a mode of transport here from the 15th century. You can also
hire a bicycle and take the ride down to any of the interesting ruins, go bouldering or trekking.
Some must-visits are Vijaya Vittala, the extraordinary architectural marvel with 56 musical pillars,
which create melodic sounds when tapped delicately, the stunning Virupaksha and Krishna temples,
the Royal Enclosure with the Queen’s bath and Lotus Mahal (palace).

The main task is harvesting various berries and vegetables such as rhubarb, currants, raspberries, Japanese quince, then helping juice making and products packaging. But there is also weed control and fertilization with mulch in plantations, mowing grass, cutting branches, removal of bushes and wood chipping, assistance in the construction of various small buildings, vegetable beds and other necessary structures on the site, painting as well. And there is ongoing work of planting seeds. Working hours are 5-7 hours a day for 5 days a week. The exact work depends on season and partly on weather conditions.

LocationThe farm is located in Kanepi municipality just 11 km from Otepaa and 47 km from Tartu. When coming from Tartu, choose a bus to Voru and get off at the Saverna stop. It is important to understand that it is calm and quiet place (there are no events in the village). Farm life conditions are simple but decent. Sleeping is in a separate house in beds. Bed sheets, blankets and pillows are provided, so no need for sleeping bag. There is a dry organic toilet. Volunteers have to take care of their surroundings by cleaning up after themselves.

The aim of this project is to renovate the roof of the "Bateleur". This is the lean-to building adjoining the reception centre barn. Under the guidance of the local authority's technical staff, you'll be removing the existing lean-to and carrying out the necessary repairs to the roof structure, then laying the new tiles. No special skills are required, but the work site will be at height and access will be via scaffolding (installed by the municipal services prior to the work site).

Food will be provided for breakfast and meals (you will have a food budget that the leaders will manage and communicate with you throughout the workcamp). Taraloka hopes to give the volunteers the opportunity to experience living as a community and practising co-operation in living and working together. Women in Taraloka live and work as a specifically Buddhist community and are willing to share what it can look and feel like when living and working from ones deepest values.
They will offer the opportunity to learn new practical skills, develop life skills and build confidence through both. They will learn two fantastic meditation practices (which do not make anyone a Buddhist) but which can positively change your life. There will be the opportunity to learn more about Buddhism including ethics, ritual, study, question and answer and personal talks. Again, by attending any of this you are not making yourself Buddhist!
The work areas on the project will possibly involve maintenance, decorating and cleaning as well as learning to cook tasty and nutritious vegan meals for the group. In addition to these projects there may be some gardening and landscaping work. This is a work retreat and we are looking for physically fit and healthy women. We hope that the volunteers will have fun working together on these projects as well as meditating together, learning about Buddhism and living as a community.
We are offering this opportunity for our volunteers to experience a retreat environment as well as to give their time and energy. We suggest not using your mobile phones and other communication devices during this time. It can be really peaceful and liberating to disconnect from the digital world for a period. Friends and family will be able to contact you on our designated emergency number, should this be necessary during your stay.
We are having substantial building work in 2025 so therefore retreat conditions won’t be entirely as we would like as there will be some noise.

Started in 1985, Taraloka is a Women’s Buddhist Community and Retreat Centre of the Triratna Buddhist Community set on the Welsh-Shropshire border. It was a run-down farm that has been gradually renovated, rebuilt and adapted over the years with the help of many different women with many different skills. The importance of providing a context for women in which the practice of meditation and Buddhism could be developed and deepened was a strong motivating factor for everyone who set up this centre. The name Taraloka means realm of Tara. Tara is an archetypal female figure representing the Enlightened qualities of Compassionate Action.
Today, the aim of Taraloka is the same. Women go there and explore what meditation can bring into their life; learn something about the relevance of Buddhist teaching to contemporary life; and experience themselves in a different setting to usual.

Your work will include different activities in a natural park like to build an apiary, to help farmers or similar works. Your help is also needed for maintenance works, e.g. on orchid meadows, in forests or on a bird island.

The project is located in the nature reserve "Nossentiner Schwinzer Heide" in the northeast of Germany. You can find many beautiful lakes and dense forests there. The nearest bigger place is Krakow am See. The place is remote, but the surrounding nature is beautiful. Be prepared to spend two weeks in nature without shopping opportunities.
Leisure Time:
The nature reserve can be explored on foot, by bike or by boat. In the area there are many beautiful lakes where you can swim. There is a possibility to participate in guided tours through the forest or learn about the endangered animals of the region. Also a trip to a bigger city or to the Baltic Sea can be planned. The activities are discussed in the group and will be decided together.

Alliksaare Farm s main direction is horse breeding. At the moment there are around 150 horses on the farm. The work can be diverse: it is to take care and maintain the pastures located by the sea - clearing around the pastures, building or removing fences, repairing fences, cleaning the stable. Another work is cleaning the coast nearby the farm from rubbish brought by storms. There can be some work for preparing food for horses for a winter time. However the major and the most important one is work with horses directly - taking care and training them. There are horses of any age but mostly young ones, so depending on your experience and willingness to learn more, it is possible to practice taking care of and training young horses. For example socializing and training foals, halter train yearlings and saddle and/or carriage train young horses. The work will be mainly outdoors. Working time is 6-7 hours a day. Work will be done under some supervision and guidance of the local host but mostly independently.

Hiiumaa, according to the Nordic sagas, emerged from the Baltic Sea as a small islet more than 10 000 years ago. The island of Hiiumaa was first mentioned in historical documents as a deserted island called Dageida in 1228. The first inhabitants settled down at the end of the 13th century. Nowadays, Hiiumaa is the second biggest island of Estonia with an area of 965 sq. km and a population of around 9 000. It has many historical and nature sights, and there are kind people known for their hospitality and good sense of humor. The island is referred to as a remote area of Europe, and EstYES feels particularly proud developing international voluntary projects for over twenty years there. EstYES has been cooperating with eco-farms all over Estonia for solidarity and practical support to local people who work in the agricultural sector keeping traditional lifestyle and developing new eco-farming despite all difficulties. Alliksaare Farm on Hiiumaa Island is one of such projects. This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

This project is actively working on SDG2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG4 (Quality Education), and has been working with Ozuchi Village since 2013. Ozuchi Village was established by local people to preserve the original landscape. In 1916, there were 140 residents and 20 houses, but now only one person lives there. Fortunately, 10 houses remain and the village is designated as a national important traditional buildings preservation district. The village retains the landscape and lifestyle of old Japan that is no longer in existence. In order to preserve this place and culture, we are trying to improve the situation with the power of young volunteers. Since 2016, Ozuchi Village and NICE have started a monthly weekend work camp, and more than 300 volunteers visit the village every year, fall in love with the village, and participate as repeat visitors or support the village in whatever way they can! The local hosts hope to pass this village on to the next generation!*Results of this work camp: The village was abandoned, but one of the former villagers maintained the rice terraces and landscape. However, the work camp gave him such strength that he started living there again in 2018!

This year, you will be working on the continuation of maintenance work on the casemates (fortified shelters) at Fort Vauban. Accompanied by a specialist technical supervisor, you will initially be responsible for removing vegetation from the structure, then disjointing and repointing with lime mortar. Next, you will take part in transforming the museum's former storeroom into an educational room. You'll learn how to fit plasterboard panels and finish painting.
You'll learn a range of techniques, including traditional masonry, plastering and painting.
You will be working mornings of 5 to 6 hours. Come with work clothes or clothes that may be damaged or dirty. We will provide you with safety equipment. No qualifications are required for this project.

You can enjoy a wide range of activities such as the European Heritage Days, fishing and sailing with the local clubs. The beach, seaside bike rides, beach volleyball and other pleasures are all there for you to discover. You can also visit towns such as La Rochelle and Rochefort. Leisure time and local activities will give you the chance to meet the locals, who are eagerly awaiting your arrival!

You will sleep in a 2-person tent at the Fouras municipal *** campsite (swimming pool, multi-sports area, WIFI, etc.). You must bring a warm duvet and a pillow, and we will provide inflatable mattresses. Bicycles are available for use around town. Food will be provided for all meals, with a budget managed collectively by the group and the leaders. Meals, especially lunch and dinner, will be prepared by participants on a rotating basis, ensuring respect for environmental values, local resources, and everyone's cultural preferences. Both hot and cold dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan options, will be included.

For the 10th anniversary of this project, you will be taking part in the renovation of Fort Vauban, an ancient medieval fortress protecting the town from sea invasions. Surrounded by 17th-century fortifications, it bears witness to the region's military history. This project is part of a long-standing partnership with the municipality of Fouras, helping to promote local heritage through an intercultural exchange.

Everyday three meals cooked and served to the homeless community in the centre. The volunteer expected to help the main volunteers to cook and clean the centre. There will be some community activity will be conducted at evening such as supply stringe to the hard core drug abusers to avoid the sharing (control spread of HIV), mass community feeding, sorting things for free market and some related programmes.

Location: The community is located in Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the city, so you can sometimes enjoy café, night market, etc. in the evening (but not till too late!). Leisure: Visitation around Kuala Lumpur city, and the cultural heritage of Malaysia, cultural exchange events

Volunteers will stay in the school. Meal will be provided. Sleeping bag is necessary (mat is also recommended since the floor is hard). Water is very valuable, so the volunteers should be aware of not wasting it when washing the clothes and taking a bath.

This project is actively working for SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), newly organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. This project was established by single lady by the name Nor Akmar Kaseh also known as kak Akmar. She was went through some tough time as a homeless before. She used feel hunger and leading an unhealthy life. Somehow her life changed and she decided to help the homeless community and transform their life. From providing one meal for homeless now she established to a community centre to help this poor community.
