Volunteers will be in charge of ecological part of the festival. They will take care of waste separation, composting, and education of visitors about the preferable dealing with the trash. They will also learn and teach about compost toilets and biofilters for water. Also, there will be opportunities for them to be part of healing and musical events at the festival (they will not only "work", naturally, they are here to have fun, as well).

The camp is located on the mountain Rtanj (pronounced-Rtany) in lower part of Eastern Serbia. It is well-known for its intact nature, rich flora and fauna, but also its legends and stories, because the shape of the mountain is the one of pyramid (to what festival owes its name; uuu, so mysterious). The best thing you can do there is ask locals to tell you some of those, so you can enjoy in the depth behind myths.
Other than that, it is wonderful place, where you can hike and relax, searching for fresh air, clean water and nice locals.
Of course, during the festival, volunteers will have the opportunity to access every part of it, as well as to participate in many interesting workshops on different topics.
Since everything is made for people there to have great time, just bring your smile and all the rest will be for eternal memory!

The accommodation will be in tents (that will be provided, but you can bring your own, if you want more comfort, we will not make any problems; sleeping bags, as well, can be given by local host), there will be compost toilets (important to know) and showers.
Food will be prepared by local chef who will use local healthy and seasonal products. Although there will be some cutlery (knife, fork and spoon), it is recommended that you bring your own, since that policy is something favorited by the local host.
Requisiti e materiali
There are no specific requirements, but if you want to make your life easier bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia.

Assocition "Eko Heroj" (Eco Hero) is a non-prfit organization that has for its goal protection of the environment, then promotion of ecological topics, but also of volunteerism in general. The main activities are attempts to reach as many people as possible speaking about these important topics. So, there are always many actions of cleaning the nature, many organized workshops, but there are also workcamps now and then. For them priority is zero waste philosophy, which they explain to people whenever they have a chance.
Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. Voluntary Service of Serbia is a volunteer exchange service center founded in 1990 as one of the sectors of YRS.

Volunteers will help in the organization of a summer camp (Mon-Fri 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM) for children from 4 to 7 years old. Volunteers will help to prepare and implement activities, there also will be space to introduce individual volunteers’ ideas. The topic of the camp is “Ferda the Ant and Life in the Meadow”. Volunteers and members will engage all the senses and abilities—artistic, musical, physical, or technical—depending on personal preference. We also will take the children on one full-day trip. The goal of the workcamp is also to pleasantly disrupt the daily routine of village life, awaken interest in others, create an opportunity to meet various people from different countries, break the stigma and open the doors to different worlds. The activities will be adapted according to the weather.

Location: Kysice is a small village with 1 100 inhabitants surrounded by forest. The closest bigger city is Pilsen (6 km, accessible by bus running every hour). There is a grocery store, a pub, a post office and several sports facilities. About 2km from the accommodation there is a lake ideal for swimming or wakeboarding.
Leisure time: In their free time, volunteers can go swimming at Lake Ejpovice or visit the swimming pool, take a day trip to Prague or hike - Radyne castle, along Berounka river, Kokotske ponds, Rokycany town, Kozel castle and others. During the workcamp, cultural evenings will be organized together with the locals of the village.
Study part: While working with children, volunteers will be introduced to developmental psychology, ,to the mental health primary prevention program , volunteers will also have the opportunity to practice different approaches to working with children and resolving conflict situations. The group will also visit the West Bohemian Museum and learn about the history of Pilsen and its surroundings. Volunteers will also see several educational films related to the topics of non-freedom, social networks, and the environment.

Volunteers will be accommodated in the community centre with a fully equipped kitchen, common room (equipped with a projector, 3D virtual reality and table football), workshop room, a gym and a garden. WIFI is available. On the upper floor, there are 2 showers and toilets. Downstairs toilets are adapted for people with disabilities. Please, bring your sleeping bag and a mat. From Monday to Friday lunch will be provided, and breakfast and dinner will be prepared by the volunteers. During the weekend volunteers will cook all the meals for themselves. Vegetarian and vegan food options are possible.

The extra fee covers costs of the project not covered by public funding (for example support for campleaders, administrative costs of iNEX-SDA). The fee is paid in advance electronically and non-refundable unless proof of severe obstacle (for example illness) is provided.

Apart from bedrooms, the tea-room for rest will be also organized where teenagers might watch films, read and play board games enjoying soft sofas. Bed linen, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, minimum one school staff member and one volunteer will be staying with camp participants overnights to maintain life, catering and general order on the site. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that you must be inside by 22:00 the latest unless supervised outside by a school staff member. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners at school, lunches i together with other camp participants.2) In the host families of some of local participants who will join this camp. To assure a safe environment for all the campers, we expect all our camp participants will provide their parents letter of consent (Parental Authorization) and travel insurance certificate.Participation feeUnlike the traditional voluntary camp, there will be mostly informal educational activities and guided language practice. Camp program implementation involves costs for boarding and lodging, domestic transport, materials, excursions, visits, cultural activities and general administration. Since neither EstYES, nor its partner ALPS receive any financial support for this camp from state or municipality, to make the camp happen we have to charge a participation fee from 350 to 600 Euro depending on the duration of the camp shift. This is a separate fee that is different from your country sending organization s fee you pay at home. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Thematic photo and video contests for camp participants will be organized.

The city is home to the University of Salamanca, founded in 1134, making it one of the oldest universities in Europe. The iconic Plaza Mayor, a grand square surrounded by arcades, is the heart of the city and a popular gathering spot.
Salamanca?s architectural gems include the Old Cathedral (Catedral Vieja) and New Cathedral (Catedral Nueva), which showcase Romanesque and Baroque styles. Other highlights are the Casa de las Conchas, a beautiful building adorned with scallop shells, and the Puente Romano (Roman Bridge), dating back to the 1st century.

Volunteers will work on creative workshops with the goal of producing various artistic creations. There will be workshops such as painting, playing music, photography and filmmaking. The auditive and visual works will be presented on an exhibition in September in Novi Sad (second largest city in our beautiful country and the one where culture means the most, although the rest of the country also has strong feelings about it) and Sremski Karlovci, hopefully (negotiations are still in progress).

"Eco Camp Fruška Gora" is a unique oasis located on Fruška Gora ("Mountain of Franks", in our old language), 3 km from Sremski Karlovci, at the foot of Stražilovo (famous picnic area with numerous paths for walking, made eternal by one of our greatest poets from Romantic period-Branko Radičević, who was student here). It is situated 70 kilometers from Belgrade and 17 kilometers from Novi Sad. The camp was established with the aim of offering its visitors a well-organized space for rest, socializing, and recreation in nature. For full comfort, the camp includes complete sanitary facilities, shower cabins, stoves, a refrigerator, running hot water, electricity, and free internet access — all of which are especially important for visitors staying for an extended period. When it comes to leisure activities-everything is possible, so it is just to the group preferencies-hiking tours, excursions to Sremski Karlovci (old cultural capital of all Serbs; 1699. famous peace treaty between Austrian empire and Ottoman empire was signed right here, on that place the Chapel of Peace is built that still stands; today it is a modern center of wine production and the place with numerous museums; oldest and the most beautiful Serbian high-school that is still active is founded here) and Novi Sad (present day cultural capital of Serbs, it is creatively called "Serbian Athens", and not just them-more than 20 nationalities live here, it is real center of interculturalism, which was recognized by Europe declaring it European capital of culture for 2022.; numerous museums, galleries, exhibitions-the beautiful one about great and sadly-forgotten Mileva Marić Einstein, wife and colleague of Albert is active on the impressive fortress of the city, vivid pedestrian areas with a lot of interesting to offer give warm welcome to everyone), nights around camp-fire... Wonderful! Bring only positive attitude and all the rest will be solved easily always!

The volunteers will be accommodated in tents, some in individual and some in shared with others (they will be provided for you, but if anyone wants to bring their own, it is perfectly alright). Three meals a day will be there for everyone and volunteers will also take part in their preparation.

Tibet has maintained a unique culture, religion and language for centuries. After the Chinese nvasion in 1950, the Dalai Lama, Tibet’s political and religious leader sought and was given asylum in India, along with thousands of Tibetan refugees. Today, there is a thriving settlement in Dharamshala, which is called Tibet-in-exile. To learn about Tibetan culture and religion, there are many places of interest at Dharamshala. Tsuglagkhang, Mcleodganj the residence of the Dalai Lama
is a must-visit, as are the Tibet Museum, Dalai Lama temple, Tibetan Parliament House, Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, War Memorial and Kangra Art Museum. The Tibetan Children’s Village, a charitable organisation, caters to children who are in the greatest need among the refugees. For the last 5 decades, it has run solely on the generosity of its well-wishers. During 1st week volunteers would join us in our headquarter which is based at a rural location where they have opportunity to live & experience a typical mountain village culture, their lifestyle and during process join our ongoing initiatives like NFE, women empowerment, NRM (Protection of fresh water sources), organic farming etc. During 2nd week the group would move to Mcloedganj in Dharamshala which is a touristic town and also Secretariat of Tibetan Government in exile. Over here they would visit Tibetan, monasteries, museum, schools and join language classes with Tibetan monks. There is a likelihood that we may take up some cleanliness work or some other activity. Otherwise, this week will be more of touristic and culture sharing.

Your help is needed to prepare space and facilities for the 18th Fokus Festival. An alternative 2-day festival (15th – 16th August) with several stages, many workshops, a speakers corner, food and drinks! Please watch one of the aftermovies on YouTube (@SecondAttempteV) to get an impression of the Festival. You are invited to work together in international teams, composed of employees of RABRYKA and other volunteers from Goerlitz. During working hours you can create fancy furniture for the visitors, colorful decoration for the stages and the festival area, do some gardening or lead through your own ideas. Whether you like painting, crafting, working, gardening, cooking or designing- whatever you like, we’ll find a task for you. It would be great if the group could contribute something special for the Fokus Festival, for example decorating a graffiti wall. Goerlitz is situated at the very east of Germany. After WWII, it was divided and the area in the east of the river Neisse is now the autonomous town Zgorzelec and part of Poland. Volunteers will get a guided tour through Goerlitz and will learn about its eventful history. Moreover, you will learn about the current network of initiatives in the city, which offers a wide range of cultural and social work. In addition, there will be free time for a cycling tour to a lake nearby, bonfire evenings, a party and more.

Location: The workcamp will be held at the Early Baroque rectory in Blansko, near Kaplice, located along the Malše River at the foot of the Novohradské Mountains. Perched atop a hill, the rectory offers a panoramic view of Kaplice and stands next to the Church of St. George. While the current building dates back to the 17th century, its history extends to medieval times. The site also features farm buildings, including granaries and barns, as well as a spacious rectory garden. The nearby town of Kaplice, just 1.5 km away, provides amenities such as a cinema, library, restaurants, sports facilities, and shops.
Leisure time: In their free time, volunteers can explore the nearby town of Kaplice, just 1.5 km away, offering a cinema, library, restaurants, sports facilities, and shops. For nature lovers, a scenic trail runs along the Černá River leading to the Hradiště hill lookout tower. Those interested in history can visit several nearby historical sites, with the stunning town of Český Krumlov only about 25 km away.
Study part: A planned excursion to Tichá Fortress will include a lecture on its reconstruction, providing insight into historical preservation. Volunteers will also attend a lecture on historical paintings and their restoration, gaining a deeper understanding of traditional art conservation. Additionally, there is a possibility of an excursion to the Velešín Museum, where they can explore local folk culture and heritage.

Volunteers will be accommodated directly in the parish building, staying in rooms that accommodate 3-4 people each. Hygiene facilities include two toilets and one shower within the building. Volunteers should bring a sleeping bag, towel and indoor slippers. The accommodation provides Wi-Fi and a microwave, but there is no washing machine. Meals will be prepared communally at the parish, with volunteers taking turns assisting in the kitchen. Ornezan is a small village in the Gers, surrounded by rolling hills and valleys. The landscape is shaped by agriculture, with fields, lakes, and winding paths weaving between farms and forests. The Gers is a region where life moves at a slower pace, with a strong Gascon identity still alive today. You might even hear a few words of Occitan at the market or in local conversations. Your work days will be balanced with moments of relaxation. When the summer heat peaks, you can cool off in nearby lakes. Throughout the season, numerous village festivals take place, featuring open-air meals, dances, and performances. History enthusiasts can follow in the footsteps of pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago or explore sites like the Gallo-Roman villa of Seviac. And, of course, Gers’ gastronomy is an experience in itself! Among the local specialties, you can savor Lectoure melons, apple croustade, hearty Gascon vegetable soup, and delicious sheep and goat cheeses produced in the region.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

Located in the town centre, the basin and the esplanade around it are in the heart of a development project led by the town council.
In the continuity of a workcamp organised last year, your mission will be to repair the stone riprap that composes the structure of the basin. You will need to remove the weed from the banks and fix the disjointed stones by using traditional masonry techniques.
Some of the work will be performed from a floating platform. Even if the water is low in summer, it is essential to know how to swim to participate in this workcamp.

Only two hours from the south of Paris, surrounded by woods and ponds which embellish the Sologne, the town of Lamotte-Beuvron is known as the home of the largest equestrian centre in Europe. It is appreciated for its gastronomy, especially for the famous apple dessert: the very tasty Tarte Tatin. You will undoubtedly have the opportunity to discover this sweet dessert while visiting the village in your free time. The city of Orleans, the regional capital of the area, is also easily accessible by public transport.

Your accommodation will be at a 20-minute walk from the worksite. You will have your own tent (provided by Concordia), on the field of the stadium close to the House of Sports, where you will have access to sanitary facilities, showers, as well as a kitchen and a common room. You will share various collective tasks (cleaning, activities, etc.). A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with shopping and cooking, prioritizing healthy, local products. Feel free to bring your own recipes, it's a great opportunity to share your history and culture with the group. A washing machine and a laundromat will be available (it is still recommended to bring 2 weeks of clothes). WIFI will be available in the town hall or through hotspot.

The work site will take place in a rural environment. For practical and ecological reasons, travel will mainly be on foot or by bicycle. Remember to bring gloves, clothes and shoes suitable for outdoor work. Don't forget to bring a sleeping bag and a floor mat, summer and rain clothes, as well as a swimsuit and toiletries. You can also use a pillowcase as a pillow by filling it up. You can bring board games, a music instrument or anything from your region/country that you want to share with the group, as well as a Bluetooth speaker. Please note that volunteers must be able to swim !
On the last day (22/08), the departure time is usually set in the morning.

The town of Lamotte-Beuvron has been working for years to rehabilitate the Sauldre canal. This is the fifth time that a workcamp is organised here. Built on the orders of Napoleon III, the canal drains into the Lamotte-Beuvron's basin. Abandoned almost a century ago, the canal has now become a tourist trail, located both on the equestrian route linking Chambord to Sancerre and on the Grande Randonnee trail no. 31, which is very popular amongst nature lovers.

Volunteers will help in guiding student in studies, setting a better environment to enhance a better learning environment. Be ready to provide attentive care from 09:00 to 15:00 on Monday to Friday. It is also important to have nice exchange with several children sleeping in the school building! Some group activities will be arranged by the school and teachers.

Location: The school is located in Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the city, so you can sometimes enjoy café, night market, etc. in the evening (but not till too late!). This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) since 2018 in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) is a non-profit organization that caters to the needs of children in and around Chow Kit. They run two drop-in centers in Chow Kit and one safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship. YCK operate in partnership with Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. YCK developed out of Nur Salam and was incorporated in 2011. The past workcamps since 2018 Sep. have been successful and in 2024, 48 vols. from Japan, Mexico and Italy joined 4 workcamps with creating great impact!

Volunteers will join the summer festival called TORO NAGASHI that is a memorial service for ancestors by making lanterns named TORO and floating them down a river. Volunteers will make large TORO (2 x 2 meters) for the festival in this workcamp. Project aims to mobilize the local community with workcampers. Through this workcamp, the local community will be much more activated, redeveloping pride for their community!

With your help, we would like to carry out urgent work to preserve the historic railway station site. Nature is reclaiming what once belonged to it and working against memory. Together with your help and the support of the village, we want to fight against oblivion and make the station grounds visible again. The work you carry out will take place outside and is mostly horticultural: this means physical labour with hoes, saws and spades to clear the site of wild growth and bushes. Work can be physically demanding!
During the work you will have the opportunity to learn a lot about the place and to talk to the local people and hear how they perceived the different periods. The Jamlitz railway station is also run in cooperation with the nearby Lieberose Memorial in Jamlitz and the young residents are often involved in its upkeep. You can also become active at the memorial site and help to maintain the greenery and work against forgetting.
In our bicycle workshop, you can repair bicycles and take them on trips to the nearby Schwansee lake and through the meadows and forests.

Jamlitz is situated in a very rural location and has many exciting things to offer in addition to relaxing nature, bathing lakes and a historic landscape that can be explored on foot or by bike. At the end of the 19th century, Berlin artists discovered this place and founded an artists' colony, which still characterises the identity of the village today. During the National Socialist era, a large military training area was to be built here. The project met with resistance from the local population and was never completed. However, a satellite camp of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp was built, which sadly earned the village a reputation as one of the most important sites of the Shoah in Brandenburg. After liberation from National Socialism, both the camp and the military training area continued to be used by Soviet troops. The railway station was at the centre of all these events and today bears witness to the different areas.
You will have the opportunity to get to know the history in various ways. On guided tours and seminars, through conversations with locals and explorations on your own, you can uncover and understand the overlapping layers.
We also think together about which excursions and activities can be organised. Whether a visit Cottbus or Eisenhüttenstadt or Berlin is up to you.

Volunteers will be accommodated in the former railway station, there are rooms with several beds, sleeping bags must be brought along. We will cook and eat together with the residents of the railway station. If you want, you can spend the night in a tent, we can set up tents for this purpose.

Please bring a sleeping bag, possibly a pillow, towel, with you. You will need work clothes, rain gear and sturdy, closed shoes. As it can get cold at night in August, even in summer, please bring warm clothing. Don't forget sun protection in case of strong sun. For your free time, please bring a swimming costume, music, your talents and something specific from your life.
The project is in a very rural location. There is a swimming lake about 15 minutes away by bike. Volunteers should be able to cycle and swim safely.
Alcohol and drugs are not permitted in the project itself. After registration, we require a self-declaration on child and youth protection.

The “Justus Delbrück Haus” | Akademie für Mitbestimmung (Academy for Co-determination) in the former Railway Station Jamlitz is an open place where everyone is welcome and can take part in events such as exhibitions, cinema evenings and other events. The organisation Karuna e.V. (Future for children and young people in need) bought the disused railway station in Jamlitz in 2008 and transformed it back into a lively place. Several organisations are now working together here, filling the past, present and future with life. You will find both a historical site rich with stories to tell and a vibrant space for exchange, where, in addition to educational programmes, leisure activities also take place. Moreover, a residential community for former homeless and decoupled young people has been established. In cooperation with the Lieberose memorial site in Jamlitz, socially disadvantaged children and young people in particular get the opportunity to escape everyday life, take advantage of artistic, historical and experiential educational programmes and experience a democratic and self-determined life. The railway station is located far away from large cities and is surrounded by forests and lakes, meadows and fields. This is very conducive to working with the young people and is part of the educational concept. “Arrive and simply be in the here and now”.
