Volunteers will assist in a variety of tasks including but not limited to: Assisting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily living activities in the home and managing crews in workplaces such as gardening, farming, cooking, food preserving, cleaning, woodworking, weaving, baking, or arts. The type of work and number of hours varies but is usually 5 – 10 hours per day. At least 5 hours per day will be spent in the workplace and another 3-5 hours per day in the home. Volunteers live on site and participate in all house activities including meals and all outside activities.
Coworker position requires a confident individual who will be active in the homelife with others. This includes adults who have a range of abilities. Their primary function will be to make some common meals at home, clean common spaces, assist housemates when needed and participate in activities within the village. Some housemates may need help with bathing, oral hygiene, and other daily living activities. Coworkers will have workplaces to attend during the day.

Providing access to healthcare and sanitation in order to keep the population thriving is key. At VIN we want to create awareness in local communities by teaching and educating rural communities as well as facilitating first hand medical care. Nepal faces many challenges when it comes to public health. In the rural communities the government offers very few facilities to support the health of its people. With illiteracy and poverty levels being high, manypeople do not have the means to changetheir health, sanitation, and hygiene practices and remain unaware of the major health risks and how to minimise them.Daily ActivitiesThe Medical Care Volunteer will spend one day in the Kavresthali Health Clinic taking blood pressure and monitor other vital functions. In general, volunteers help organize and develop the different activities of the foundation, which includes support before, during and after the medical missions.
The work includes:
- Office work
- Organizing medicine and inventory.
- Folding clothes
- Helping organize and sort out donations.
- Managing social media of the organization.
- Joining the medical missions.
For some missions the volunteer has to pay the airplane tickets, it depends on the geographical area where the mission is carried out. (e.g. a medical mission in the Amazonas).
There are some other tasks as well at other foundations 2x every month.
- Cleanup an animal shelter and bathe cats and dogs.
- Cleaning at an old people's home and playing games, karaoke and sports with the elderly.
- Taking care of babies / playing with children between 2 and 6 years old at a foundation of adolescent and single mothers, while they attend some lessons.
According to the volunteer’s profile the foundation will try to assign tasks and activities.

There is a flower festival and in the surrounding villages life is simple with relaxing landscapes and nature reserves.
Places such as the Botanical Garden, the Pies Descalzos park, the Berrío park and the Lleras park are places that you cannot miss.
In addition, Medellín has Parque Explora, an interactive science and technology museum in which children and adults can learn and try a large number of activities. Nearby you find the Planetarium and the Parque de los Deseos.

The volunteers will stay in a family home (where the foundation is also based) in a shared room with a shared bathroom.
The fee includes accommodation and three meals a day.
The kitchen will be shared with the other volunteers and the host family.
Participants will receive groceries and they have to cook their own food.

This project will be carried out in cooperation with a non-profit organization that brings together different professionals, to contribute to change by small solidarity actions.
They help the most vulnerable communities by carrying out medical missions, attending the needs of children between the ages of 0 and 12 and the elderly.
In addition, they provide training and support in different projects to teenage mothers, single mums and mothers who are heads of families.
They also support projects aimed at this continuous improvement in the quality of our habitat.
With this initiative we aim to educate and train farmers in nearby communities by acting as a resource and demonstration centre for sharing good practices among farmers. Our focus is to encourage farmers to reduce usage of chemical fertilizers and still increase their agriculture income & output.
Below are the few tasks which could be undertaken by volunteers to assist us:
• Assist our agriculture team in daily maintenance of farm and produce pesticide and chemical
free products.
• Actively assist our team to realise our dream to be self sufficient by producing majority of fruits,
vegetable that we consume.
• Introduce or reinforce good farming practices and grow off season and les water consuming
vegetable.
• Assist in networking of farmers so they can connect and share technical know how.

The main goal of the foundation is to help provide free, fun, inclusive and impactful activities for every child in the local community and nearby villages.
The volunteer will help the foundation to communicate the joy and impact of the programmes by making little set piece videos and /or taking wonderful photos of the activities in action.

An award winning hostel situated on the River Buritaca, 25 min walk from the Caribbean coast of Colombia. The hostel has a foundation that runs educational, sporting and environmental projects to positively impact their local community.
