The aim of this workcamp is to preserve the natural reserve area surrounding called "Fonts del Rio Algar." More concretely, the work will be mainly dedicated to parks and gardens maintenance or ?arboretum?: removing the over-grown grass, weeding some parts of the grasslands and the edge of the woods, maintaining footpaths. Volunteers will also take part in the clean-up of some areas of the reserve where building waste has been found, and if time allows it, they will carry out some painting works around the centre.
There will be other additional tasks to change the daily routine of the volunteers. Volunteers might participate in projects using recycled materials, such as sculptures, murals, mosaics, crafts, artistic activities, or other initiatives requested by the local town hall. Also, here may be a day of social work with the youngsters of the town in the local youth center, depending on availability and planning.

The municipality is located in the province of Alicante, in the northern part of the Marina Baixa region, 10 km from the coast and 42 km from the city of Alicante.
Algar Waterfalls at only 15 km from Benidorm and 3 km from the center of Callosa. This area was declared a Wetland protected by the Valencian Government. It is a park about the importance of water as an environmental resource, economical and cultural. The visit is a route through a circuit of 1.5 km in length along, where you can walk through the bed of the river Algar, see the spectacular waterfalls and the numerous sources, the "tolls" (pools of water) where you can take refreshing swims in crystal clear water, the old dam, the imposing century-old canal and ditches still in use.
Apart from the Waterfalls, there are other interesting sites in Callosa like the cultural heritage of the town, old narrow streets in the center. Also, there are several beautiful hiking routes around Callosa. One of the most spectacular places is El Fort de Bernia.
Not far from Callosa, you can visit a town called Guadalest which has an ancient castle. Also, Altea, another beautiful town near the sea can be visited. The beach is not far from the house and somedays, the volunteers can take a trip to the beach of Altea.

In a small rural house with basic conditions, some kilometres away from the village centre, with 2 different rooms. No need to bring a mattress but bring lower sheets and a summer sleeping bag are necessary. The centre is equipped with showers and WC.
The food is provided by our campleaders and the volunteers will be cooking in groups by the guidance of our campleader.
Please keep in mind that during the summer, weather conditions may not be optimal due to the high temperatures.

The extra fee has be paid by card ( in the exceptional cases we can accept bank transfer as well) 3 weeks before the camp as a confirmation of participation.
If we don't recieve the fee and the flight/bus tickets of the volunteer, we will consider that she/he will not attending to project and we will give opportunity to other volunteers that are on the waiting list.

Come and take part in the project to upgrade the footpaths in the Oloron Sainte Marie valley, in the middle of Bearn! The programme includes guided tours with specialist site managers, to discover the local flora and fauna and carry out a variety of tasks: cleaning up, building, renovating and developing the footpaths, and promoting the heritage. You'll have the chance to work on different sites in the middle of nature!

Oloron Sainte Marie is situated in the middle of the Bearn region, at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains. This workcamp will be an opportunity to discover this village, its inhabitants, its gastronomic specialities and the nearby hiking trails. It's a project that requires you to want to spend time outdoors. When you're not working on the site, you'll be able to discover the heritage of the Bearn region, its villages, its cultural and gastronomic traditions and its magnificent landscapes!

You will have accommodation in individual tents, with sanitary facilities, a kitchen and a communal living room in the municipal campsite in the village of Oloron Sainte Marie, with a view of the mountains. You will share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with the shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local produce.
Together, you'll help organise community life (cleaning, activities, etc.) and take turns preparing meals using locally sourced produce. Our aim is to encourage vegetarian eating using local, seasonal produce, while respecting participants' diets and discovering local cuisine together.
Requisiti e materiali
Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues arise on the project, volunteers will have to pay for them, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.

The project is being carried out in partnership with the Leo Lagrange association in Bayonne, which will be responsible for on-site logistics and the organization of activities. Leo Lagrange is an association that promotes education and sports for tolerance and democracy, against racism, xenophobia and extremism, and for access to rights and equal rights. It offers sporting and cultural activities throughout the year in the region.
The various sites you will be working on are protected natural areas. A whole host of actions are necessary throughout the year to preserve these fragile environments, so you'll be taking part in this work and supporting the teams on site. Numerous awareness-raising missions are also carried out throughout the year with schoolchildren and local residents to raise awareness of the remarkable animal and plant species. The workcamp will not only be an opportunity to help preserve these unique places, but also to discover all their secrets thanks to the many specialists who will be on hand to show you around the site.

ACCOMMODATION: SEEDS participants will stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. As participants sleep in shared rooms with up to 6 people, everyone is expected to behave considerately. Please bring your own towel. Participants will receive food supplies and be in charge of the cooking and cleaning activities. Note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music or games from your country for the intercultural evening. Be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

PROJECT: This is the eighteenth year (since 2008) that SEEDS has organised a series of International Photography projects and we began organising these camps for teenagers in the year 2010. Throughout the year, participants from all over the world come to Iceland for an immersive photography-focused learning camp. SEEDS coordinators help participants to develop their unique photographic skills through workshops and feedback sessions on technical settings, compositional considerations, and creating conceptual frameworks that highlight each participant s individual style. Participants will have time to put the theory about photography into practice, exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant will be selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods, and laptops, if possible. While learning about photography, the participants have the opportunity to explore Icelandic culture through active participation: capturing it, engaging with it, and showcasing their work throughout the camp. One of our goals is to empower young people to use photography to highlight environmental and cultural subjects and issues.Participants should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and working within a flexible schedule. Participants will be photographing in their free time outside of workshop hours with images to be discussed at group feedback sessions.This camp is open to participants aged 16 to 20. During their stay, SEEDS organises a programme that combines learning, sharing, getting to know Iceland and its culture, and having fun while exploring the city and some of the most stunning natural attractions in the Golden Circle and Reykjanes Peninsula excursions.

You will meet earthenware artisans and visit the museum in the town. The residents, community volunteers and elected officials will come to meet you and will be happy to share their territory with you.

This work has improved access, safety and the aesthetics of the trail.2024: Work on the apies walls, testimony to local beekeeping know-how. In almost all places in Germany, there are gravesites from the Second World War that commemorate the victims of war and tyranny. This is also the case in the municipality of Apen in Ammerland. In various small village cemeteries, 14 graves of soldiers aged 17-21 who died just a few days before the end of the war have been preserved. These graves are to be restored and repaired. Your tasks will include cleaning the weathered stones and rebordering the gravesites. Under the guidance of a historian, you will engage in biographical work and historical research and set up information boards with QR codes to raise awareness of commemoration, remembrance and a culture of peace.
The accommodation is approx. 6 to 7 km away from the various work locations. You will be provided with bicycles for the journey to work and for leisure activities. You cycle from Nordloh to Apen in about 20 to 30 minutes, but there are also minibuses available for transfers to the individual work sites.

The seminar house is in a very rural location, but surrounded by beautiful nature. Bicycles are available for excursions in the surrounding area - the house is located directly on the ?Fehn-Route?, a popular long-distance cycle route. 3 km away is the seafaring village of Bar?el with shopping facilities and a harbour worth seeing. It is 16 km to the climatic health resort of Bad Zwischenahn with the lake ?Zwischenahner Meer?. There is an outdoor swimming pool in Hengstforde, 6 km away. The towns of Leer, Emden, Oldenburg and Bremen are easy to reach by train. Together with young people from Apen, you will go on a canoe trip.

- The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. ProgramThere are diverse activities in the camp program: canoeing, water scootering, running ATV, paintball in the forest, sport games - football, rugby, volleyball, athletics, table tennis, archery, frisbee, disc-golf, trampolines, different competitions, forest cross, sport orientation in the forest on and on sea (navigation), fishing, Viking boats, bicycle trips to explore the area, visit to the horse farm with horse riding, excursions historical places of interest in the area, active games and adventure trail in Roosta Adventure Park, picnics on a seaside, building sand and stones castles on the beach, Estonian sauna party, etc. Bikes are available for the whole camp duration free of charge. WorkThere will be also some voluntary work such as painting of community buildings, making wooden toys and games for local orphanage, repairing benches and tables, cleaning local beach and old local park from garbage, planting trees, little renovation works in the local school, clearing pavement, helping seniors living in the community with some household duties, preparing fire woods for heating, berries and herbs picking to give the crop to the orphanage and seniors home, duty in a kitchen and around the camp once in a shift, etc. The work will be organised in cooperation with local forestry department, municipality of Nova and local school. Please note that the work described above is planned for the whole summer and it may change from one shift to another depending on local needs, the season and weather conditions.

AccommodationIn wooden huts set by the local school nearby the seaside (500 m away). Please bring your sleeping bag and mat. Showers, toilets are provided in the school and there will be additional bio-toilets set on camping site. You can have traditional Estonian sauna every dayCateringMeals are served 3 times a day. There are water machines with cold water in the school complex. Catering takes place in the schools mess hall or into the lager tent outside near the mess. Meals are cooked by professional cooks. However participants will be asked to help cleaning.Medical AidCamp staff members have medical certificates and are able to provide the first aid. Special requirementsParticipants have to be sporty (e.g. be ready to run up to 3 km, bike up to 30 km), independent enough, curious and interested in active life style. Please inform us beforehand about allergies, dietary requirements you have or others prescriptions from your doctor. Please bring sleeping bag and mat, wind and waterproof clothes, goods shoes, warm and summer clothes. It s advisable to take thermal underwear. If possible, please take tick vaccination before coming. Generally, age of participants is 14-17, however exceptions are possible. NB Smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs is absolutely prohibited in the camp and this policy will be followed strictly Thus, if you cannot quit smoking for a while it is probably better not to come. Camp common language is English. Local languages are Estonian and Russian.Participation feeUnlike the normal camp there will be not too much of work here. Nevertheless, participants will be provided with board, lodging, local transportation and all equipment necessary to realize camp program. Besides, program involves a lot of extra costs for excursions, trips out, visits, sport activities, equipment, materials and general administration and leadership. Since neither EstYES nor its local camp partner, does not receive financial support for this camp from municipality or private sources, to realize this camp we have to charge participation fee of 500 Euro, which covers all camp and program costs including transfer from Tallinn to and from the camp, and which has to be paid by bank transfer before the camp or by participants upon arrival to the camp. The bank details will be provided after the acceptance of the participant to the camp. NB Participants coming from outside Europe are asked to consult with us before paying fee by bank transfer to reduce high banking charges.

This camp is organized for teenagers by youth sport club Lukas-Basket which has been running national youth camps for 25 years and International ones for the past 12 years. International teenage camps will be hosted on seaside in the West of Estonia in Laanemaa County in the municipality of Nova. Beautiful nature, numerous historical places, 200 years long tradition of health resort, unique cultural events are the treasures of the County. Nova with warm sea, white sand, mushroom and berry crops, picturesque lakes, cobble stone road and many places of interest is ideal place for leisure. The aim of Nova camp is to give young people possibility to have active, healthy and meaningful summer vacations with different sport adventures, to enjoy unspoiled nature and to learn to live in harmony with it, also to explore and realize their own capacities and limits. The program will include water activities, sport and ball games, eco-hikes, bicycle trips to places of interest, horse riding, fishing, rowing, acquaintance with local culture and many other exciting things. Mens sana in corpore sano (Healthy Spirit in Healthy Body) i this is the message of the camp Besides all this, camp gives possibility for intensive contacts between local youth and their peers from abroad, showing youngsters the diversity of world cultures, broadening their horizons and encouraging active communication through games and creative activities. Finally, there will be some voluntary work for nature protection and to support local community. The area of the camp is about 3 hectares and it can host over 60 youngsters on one shift. The age of local participants is 10-18. Local teenagers are mainly Russian-speaking of minority communities of Estonia. Depuis cinq ans, Études et Chantiers accueille des bénévole internationaux au Parc de la Fosse Maussoin, classé Natura 2000 grâce à la présence du Pic Mar. Avec une vue imprenable sur Paris, ce lieu de partage abrite une serre, des potagers partagés, des espaces pédagogiques et de biodiversité en permaculture, des zones de détente et de création. For five years, Études et Chantiers has been welcoming international volunteers at the Fosse Maussoin Park, classified as Natura 2000 due to the presence of the Mar Pic. With a breathtaking view of Paris, this shared space houses a greenhouse, community gardens, educational and biodiversity areas in permaculture, relaxation zones, and creative spaces. Thanks to the volunteers, many installations have been created.

Tu seras hébergé·e sur le site de La Fontaine aux Images, à proximité du parc de la Mairie et du lac. Tu camperas près du chapiteau principal et tu auras l’opportunité de participer aux événements organisés par l’association. Le site se situe à seulement 20 minutes à pied du chantier.
Au-delà des temps de chantier, les bénévoles participent ensemble à l’organisation de la vie collective. Souvent réparti·e·s en équipes, ils·elles élaborent les menus, participent aux courses, préparent les repas et s’assurent de la propreté des espaces communs.
Véritable acteur·ice de ton expérience, tu participeras aussi à la prise de décisions concernant les activités collectives et l’organisation du quotidien !
You will be hosted at the La Fontaine aux Images site, near the town hall park and the lake. You will camp near the main marquee and have the opportunity to participate in events organized by the association. The site is just a 20-minute walk from the work site.
Beyond the working hours, volunteers come together to organise daily life on the camp. Often divided into teams, they plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces.
Fully involved in shaping your experience, you will also take part in decision-making regarding group activities and daily organization!

During this workcamp, you will actively participate in the life of the Maison and its various activities: collective living (cooking, cleaning, organization, etc.), intercultural exchanges (meeting with the local community and other volunteers from the association), etc.
The aim of this project is, through exchanges and intergenerational knowledge transfer, to raise awareness about sustainable development. The work will mainly involve maintaining the Maison?s vegetable garden (seeding, transplanting, weeding, watering, harvesting, processing). In addition, you will help maintain the compost bins, the phytosanitary pond, the chicken coop, the insect hotel, and the bamboo grove.

Collective visits to the region will be organized based on your interests: city tours, the ocean, museums, the Forest House, etc. Activities with the welcome center will also be regularly offered: pizza night, game night, etc. This will also be an opportunity to discover how an organization like Solidarites Jeunesses operates.

You will be accommodated in a shared dormitory or, if preferred, in a single room at Maison des Bateleurs. Food will be provided, and meals will be prepared on a rotating schedule by the participants themselves, while respecting sustainable development values and the diverse cultures of each participant (including both families and international volunteers).

Volunteers will help their organic farm by weeding in the rice and vegetable fields, planting vegetables, taking care of goats and chicken and also renovate the trails and the traditional house, help their house works such as cooking, washing, carrying the stuffs from the down village. Be ready to work for quite a long time (05:30-18:00 with some brakes) and hard. Kids may sometimes be separated to plan in the nature with care of some adults.

Both are located in the beautiful places near “Japanese Northern Alps”. Maki is in about 900 meters asl. and there is something remained here that most of Japanese areas have lost in modernization. Tateya is surrounded by the farms and 40 min. walk from the train station. Other activities - Exchange program, Excursion on a free day (possibly to Hakuba, a famous tourism spot), etc.

Maki: Volunteers will sleep in a few rooms of the volunteers' house that is a very beautiful cultural heritage and equips the basic facilities such as water, electricity, toilets and a bath room! They will have meals, meetings and social life with Kyodo Gakusha members in the main building (just 30 meters far). Meals will be cooked by together with the members by turns. Sleeping bag is not necessary. Tateya: Building for volunteers and a few members, 5 min. walk from the farm. Meals will be usually cooked by volunteers by turns. Sleeping bag is not necessary.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Kyodo Gakusha since 2000, a cooperative community where people with various backgrounds such as mentally disadvantaged, people who are tired of city life, who want to learn farming, who want to live in the nature, etc. They have 5 communities in Japan incl. Maki and Tateya and grow animals and vegetables in ecological, organic way. Maki is located in a very isolated area (not accessible for cars and we have to walk 4 km in the mountains!), so it once became an abandon village in 1970s and then, was revived by Kyodo Gakusha. Over 10 people were living till several years ago, but less and less in these years (almost nobody in the winter), so vols. are needed even more! Tateya is located on the hilly (less than Maki, but still a bit isolated) area where 30-40 members live and mainly do rice farming as well as growing cows and chicken.

The aim of this workcamp is to preserve the natural reserve area surrounding called "Fonts del Rio Algar." More concretely, the work will be mainly dedicated to parks and gardens maintenance or ?arboretum?: removing the over-grown grass, weeding some parts of the grasslands and the edge of the woods, maintaining footpaths. Volunteers will also take part in the clean-up of some areas of the reserve where building waste has been found, and if time allows it, they will carry out some painting works around the centre.
There will be other additional tasks to change the daily routine of the volunteers. Volunteers might participate in projects using recycled materials, such as sculptures, murals, mosaics, crafts, artistic activities, or other initiatives requested by the local town hall. Also, here may be a day of social work with the youngsters of the town in the local youth center, depending on availability and planning.

The municipality is located in the province of Alicante, in the northern part of the Marina Baixa region, 10 km from the coast and 42 km from the city of Alicante.
Algar Waterfalls at only 15 km from Benidorm and 3 km from the center of Callosa. This area was declared a Wetland protected by the Valencian Government. It is a park about the importance of water as an environmental resource, economical and cultural. The visit is a route through a circuit of 1.5 km in length along, where you can walk through the bed of the river Algar, see the spectacular waterfalls and the numerous sources, the "tolls" (pools of water) where you can take refreshing swims in crystal clear water, the old dam, the imposing century-old canal and ditches still in use.
Apart from the Waterfalls, there are other interesting sites in Callosa like the cultural heritage of the town, old narrow streets in the center. Also, there are several beautiful hiking routes around Callosa. One of the most spectacular places is El Fort de Bernia.
Not far from Callosa, you can visit a town called Guadalest which has an ancient castle. Also, Altea, another beautiful town near the sea can be visited. The beach is not far from the house and somedays, the volunteers can take a trip to the beach of Altea.

In a small rural house with basic conditions, some kilometres away from the village centre, with 2 different rooms. No need to bring a mattress but bring lower sheets and a summer sleeping bag are necessary. The centre is equipped with showers and WC.
The food is provided by our campleaders and the volunteers will be cooking in groups by the guidance of our campleader.
Please keep in mind that during the summer, weather conditions may not be optimal due to the high temperatures.

The extra fee has be paid by card ( in the exceptional cases we can accept bank transfer as well) 3 weeks before the camp as a confirmation of participation.
If we don't recieve the fee and the flight/bus tickets of the volunteer, we will consider that she/he will not attending to project and we will give opportunity to other volunteers that are on the waiting list.
This season, we have secured a partnership with Beniconnect, a transport company that will provide direct transfers for volunteers attending TEEN workcamps in Alicante province. Participants will be picked up directly from the airport arrivals and taken to the workcamp location in a private minibus (8 to 14 people per group).
In previous years, transportation has been a significant challenge, as public connections to the locations where our workcamps take place are not very reliable. We believe that this new solution will make the journey much smoother, safer, and more comfortable for everyone.

The Springhornhof Foundation in the Lüneburg Heath is the funding organisation for one of Europe's pioneering landscape art projects. Renowned artists from all over the world have created more than forty works of land art here since the 1970s. Most of the works in this ‘open museum’ are freely accessible and blend gently into the natural surroundings. Others make a clearly visible statement in the landscape. In the first week of the workcamp, your group will help with restoration work on some of the artworks - repainting, cleaning, trimming bushes, small repairs.
In the second week, you will get creative together with the artists Tanja Bächlein, Arne Bunk and Karin Missy Paule Haenlein. In teams of three, you will go out with cameras and microphones and produce small experimental films, photos and sounds on the sculptures. The recordings will then be edited and cut into short reels. At the end, we will celebrate a small landscape art film festival together.

Camp location: Where: Neuenkirchen, Lower Saxony; 85km from Hamburg, 90km from Hanover, 15km from Soltau. Neuenkirchen has 5.500 residents and is located in the center of the nature park Lüneburg Heath, a unique cultural landscape and one of the most popular destinations for trips in Germany. There is an outdoor swimming pool, an ice cream parlour and you will have the opportunity to go horseback riding or visiting a sheep farm. Apart from that, you will have bikes provided, which you can use for trips into the Heath. Bigger cities like Hamburg, Hannover and Bremen can be easily reached by train. You are close to the adventure park Heidepark Soltau, a kart track, the Serengetipark (Animal Park), a bird park and a climbing park

Children and parents will work together when possible (e.g. helping with cooking, collecting wood, harvesting vegetables and gardening). Work will be organized in two groups. The first one will be working in a nature reserve located 3km away from the campsite, their work will consist of mowing grass, raking and collecting grass. Please note that the meadows can be very wet; bring waterproof working shoes (or rubber boots), working gloves, a raincoat and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. The second group will be working on the campsite preparing food, collecting wood, doing maintenance tasks or working in the nearby forest.

Location: The workcamp takes place in the Bohemian Forest near Stara Knizeci Hut. The campsite is located in the valley of the Celni stream, an isolated part of the village of Lesna in the Bohemian Forest near the German border. There is limited phone coverage. The nearest bus stop is Stara Knizeci Hut and the nearest bigger town is Tachov where you can find ATMs, pharmacies, doctors etc. The campsite is located about 30 minutes walk from the nearest bus station. Bus runs once a day to Tachov.
Leisure time: The main activity is hiking in the surrounding countryside. You can visit the ruins of the Zahaji castle or go on trips to nearby towns (e.g. Marianske Lazne). The project is situated on the border with Germany; a trip to Germany could be an option. Besides, you can try archery, play games or experience an Indian sauna. If you have any games, musical instruments or any other activity you could share or teach the group in the campsite conditions, you are welcome to bring them.
Study part: It includes evening discussions about climate, environment, sustainability and sustainable camps around the fire. You will have the unique opportunity to try archery, participate in fun games and learn to recognize the stars. Also, as you will be living in close contact with nature, you will improve your camping skills and learn a lot about local fauna and flora.

Volunteers will be accommodated in tee-pees with a fireplace in the centre. You will sleep on wooden pads and mattresses stuffed with hay. Nights in the forest might be very cold, even frosty, so bring a very warm sleeping bag, camping mat and some warm clothes. You will bathe in a small river with cold water next to the campsite, the toilets are outdoors. Everyone will cook together as a group on a fireplace. The food is only vegetarian (or vegans / gluten free variants). You can charge your cell phone with a small solar-electricity generator. There is limited phone coverage and no Wifi.

Participants will have time to put the theory about photography into practice, exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant will be selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods, and laptops, if possible. While learning about photography, the participants have the opportunity to explore Icelandic culture through active participation: capturing it, engaging with it, and showcasing their work throughout the camp. One of our goals is to empower young people to use photography to highlight environmental and cultural subjects and issues.Participants should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and working within a flexible schedule. Participants will be photographing in their free time outside of workshop hours with images to be discussed at group feedback sessions.This camp is open to participants aged 16 to 20. During their stay, SEEDS organises a programme that combines learning, sharing, getting to know Iceland and its culture, and having fun while exploring the city and some of the most stunning natural attractions in the Golden Circle and Reykjanes Peninsula excursions. Note that this is a learning/sharing camp and not a regular workcamp; this project has a smaller volunteer work part and emphasises the personal learning process over the community impact. We may be able to organise some outdoor voluntary work, but it depends on our partners and the weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION: SEEDS participants will stay in a house in ReykjavEk. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. As participants sleep in shared rooms with up to 6 people, everyone is expected to behave considerately. Please bring your own towel. Participants will receive food supplies and be in charge of the cooking and cleaning activities. Note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music or games from your country for the intercultural evening. Be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

If you want to spend your summer in a very special place surrounded by greenery, then come to the Old Brickworks Gahlen: There you will find the integrative environmental education institution Interforum e.V. It is a meeting place and action space for various target groups. Your task will be to take care of this special place. There will be a variety of tasks depending on your needs and interests. Possible tasks are e.g. helping with construction projects to beautify the area in the field of garden and landscape art = LandArt or with renovation work, but also nature-related work such as the care and harvesting of the many gardens.
This year we would like to produce replicas of flowerbed borders, salvage and process demolition bricks, promote permaculture and bank stabilization and protect board walls with old linen oil.
One of the unique aspects of this project is its openness to the development of new ideas and the flexibility of the work. This project therefore aims to encourage creativity in various directions, to foster the independence as well as the self-organisation of the group, but also provide practical support in the process of putting ideas into practice.

You will spend your work camp in the middle of nature on the grounds of the old brickyard that feel like a little paradise. You are invited to try out everything you can do outdoors: swimming in the lake or in the small pool, biking, playing soccer and table tennis, and in the evening sitting around the campfire and looking at the stars.
By bike you can quickly reach a swimming lake. In addition, there are sheep, cats and dogs with which you can possibly even go for a walk! And of course you can also bike to the nearby small towns of Calau or Gahlen or go on weekend trips to Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig or even Poland and the Czech Republic.

Participants will have time to put the theory about photography into practice, exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant will be selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods, and laptops, if possible. While learning about photography, the participants have the opportunity to explore Icelandic culture through active participation: capturing it, engaging with it, and showcasing their work throughout the camp. One of our goals is to empower young people to use photography to highlight environmental and cultural subjects and issues.Participants should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and working within a flexible schedule. Participants will be photographing in their free time outside of workshop hours with images to be discussed at group feedback sessions.This camp is open to participants aged 16 to 20. During their stay, SEEDS organises a programme that combines learning, sharing, getting to know Iceland and its culture, and having fun while exploring the city and some of the most stunning natural attractions in the Golden Circle and Reykjanes Peninsula excursions.Note that this is a learning/sharing camp and not a regular workcamp; this project has a smaller volunteer work part and emphasises the personal learning process over the community impact. We may be able to organise some outdoor voluntary work, but it depends on our partners and the weather conditions.

SEEDS participants will stay in a house in ReykjavEk. The facilities are basic with anequipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. As participants sleep in shared rooms with up to 6 people, everyone is expected to behave considerately. Please bring your own towel.Participants will receive food supplies and be in charge of the cooking and cleaning activities. Note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music or games from your country for the intercultural evening. Be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

This is the eighteenth year (since 2008) that SEEDS has organised a series of InternationalPhotography projects and we began organising these camps for teenagers in the year 2010. Throughout the year, participants from all over the world come to Iceland for an immersive photography-focused learning camp. SEEDS coordinators help participants to develop their unique photographic skills through workshops and feedback sessions on technical settings, compositional considerations, and creating conceptual frameworks that highlight each participants individual style.

Nature conservation in the city? You might think that there is no room for nature in the city between concrete and tarmac. But if you take a closer look, you are often amazed at what lives there. Where people work, dwell and live, small nature conservation gems are hidden. Come with us to a sand dune in Gifhorn. It is slowly becoming overgrown with shrubs that need to be removed to preserve the habitat of species such as silver grass and sand sedge, which love dry and nutrient-poor conditions. The route then continues into a residential area where there is a wetland biotope. This is a refuge for peat mosses and dragonflies, but ducks also breed here from time to time. It was fenced off to protect it from trespassers. The fence is now very fragile and will be dismantled with your help so that a new fence can be erected. The rivers in the urban area are also special habitats that connect different biotopes. Unfortunately, due to high water and careless people, rubbish often ends up in the waters, which can also be dangerous for other nature reserves. So get in the boats! From the river, rubbish must be removed from the water and from the embankments. The staff of the Environment Department will guide and support you in this work. Your programme will also include an information day on wildlife in natural waters.

A playground and a football pitch are available directly on site. The surrounding area invites you to go hiking, cycling and canoeing. You can meet young people at the youth centre and spend time there at events and concerts in the evenings. Other leisure activities are swimming, bowling or canoeing. The mill museum and the castle museum are well worth a visit. On Fridays there are sports activities such as football and climbing in the neighbouring sports hall. ‘Gifhorn International’ a cultural festival with various stands (food and information from all over the world) will take place in the town centre on 13 September. Trip to Hannover, Wolfsburg or Braunschweig at the weekend.

Seminar house in the city centre. Multi-bed rooms, group room, well-equipped kitchen. Right next door, the neighbouring youth centre ‘Die Grille’ offers leisure activities such as an internet café and table football, cosy seating areas and a beautiful outdoor area for relaxing. Shopping facilities are just a few minutes’ walk away.
You will cook together. Money for food will be provided. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please state any intolerances during registration.

The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. EXTRAS / SPECIAL REMARKS: Participation fee EUR 650 (Euros), which needs to be transferred to SEEDS the latest one month before the camp starts to confirm the placement. It includes food, accommodation, transportation from the meeting point to the camp (on the first day), the Golden Circle and Reykjanes excursions. We will visit spectacular waterfalls, geysers, impressive coastline, a volcano crater, the Thingvellir National Park and much more.LANGUAGE: English will be the language in the camp; intermediate conversational skills are needed.

Would you like to make an important contribution to the conservation of moors and heaths and their animals and plants? Then this workcamp in the beautiful countryside of northern Germany between Bremen and Hamburg is the right place for you. You will work with your workcamp group in seven protected areas. In the fauna-flora-habitat areas (FFH - habitat of animals and plants protected under EU law) and nature reserves (NSG) “Bullensee und Hemelsmoor”, “Hohes Moor”, “Großes Moor” and “Feerner Moor”, you will remove sawn-off trees and shrubs from former peat-cutting areas to create habitats for endangered and peat-relevant plant species such as Bult peat moss, cranberry and smooth snake. In the landscape conservation area (LSG) "Stellingsmoor", your group will clear sensitive moor areas in order to preserve moor development and the habitat for the protected smooth snake. In the “Swatte Flag” nature reserve (NSG) you will clear a protected shallow water body for dragonflies and check bat boxes in the “Beverner Wald” nature reserve.
All activities are professionally supervised by the staff and volunteers of the NABU Ecological Station Oste-Region. In addition to the practical work, you will learn a lot about nature conservation and environmental protection in general as well as the natural habitat of moors and heaths and their protection in particular from the staff and volunteers. You will learn a lot about the local flora and fauna, their relevance for the ecosystem and the various measures to protect them.
Cooperation partners for this work camp are the Office for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management of the Rotenburg and Stade districts and the NABU Bremervörde-Zeven and Stade district groups.

In your leisure time, you can enjoy your quiet accommodation and the beautiful surroundings by playing sports and spending evenings together around the campfire. There is a table football in the house and outside there is a goal wall, a basketball hoop, a table tennis table, a football pitch with two goals, a barbecue and a campfire area with seating.
After work you can also take the hourly bus to the neighbouring town of Zeven within 10 minutes.
At the weekend trips to Bremen and Hamburg are worthwhile.

You will stay in the Badenstedt school hostel, a self-catering house with 4 and 6-bed rooms in the middle of nature. The house has a large kitchen, toilets, communal showers and two common rooms for eating and group activities.
You cook together. Money for shopping will be provided. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please indicate any intolerances when registering.

Ecological NABU Station Oste-Region (German: Ökologischen NABU-Station Oste-Region)
The Ecological NABU- Station Oste Region is an institution of NABU Lower Saxony. The station provides local support to the Rotenburg and Stade districts in their management of protected areas. Its core tasks are primarily the recording of animal and plant species, the initiation, planning, implementation and success monitoring of maintenance and development measures, as well as the planning and implementation of species protection measures.
The station not only works closely with the nature conservation authorities, but also with the Office for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management of the Rotenburg and Stade districts and the NABU Bremervörde-Zeven and Stade district groups to coordinate and initiate necessary measures.
