Volunteers will help with various logistical aspects of setting up the festival:
- assembling and dismantling structures,
- loading and unloading equipment,
- setting up scenery,
- setting up artists' boxes,
- participating in waste management, etc.
During the festival, which will take place from 27 to 29 of June, the volunteers will be integrated into the different teams (catering and eco-cleaning). After their shifts, the volunteers will be able to enjoy the festival.
The group of JAVVA volunteers will have two off-days with the possibility to visit Brussels or other cities in Belgium.

The site will be located in the Osseghem Park at the foot of the Atomium in Brussels (capital of Belgium). The campsite is only a few minutes walk from the Festival.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

Il campo si svolge nello splendido scenario dell’Area Marina Protetta Penisola del Sinis – Isola di Mal di Ventre, istituita nel 1997 a tutela di questo territorio costiero delicato quanto prezioso. Il comune di Cabras, gestore dell’Area Marina Protetta, da anni è impegnato in un importante percorso di conservazione della biodiversità e della tutela del mare, dedicando risorse allo sviluppo di un turismo sostenibile e responsabile, puntando quindi sull’uso rispettoso del mare e del territorio da una parte, e sulla valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale e archeologico dall’altra. I campi di volontariato che Legambiente realizza quest’estate, in collaborazione con l’AMP e il comune, si inseriscono in questo contesto; gli obiettivi sono di sensibilizzare gli abitanti e i turisti a una fruizione corretta dell'ambiente marino e costiero e di migliorare l’offerta di turismo sostenibile sull’isola, attraverso la sorveglianza dell’area protetta, il monitoraggio e la pulizia dai rifiuti.

II volontari garantiranno un presidio costante dell’AMP e svolgeranno le seguenti attività: informazione e sensibilizzazione dei turisti sulla corretta fruizione della spiaggia, con particolare attenzione alla tutela delle spiagge con granuli di quarzo, pulizia delle coste dalla presenza di eventuali rifiuti spiaggiati, monitoraggio e catalogazione dei rifiuti spiaggiati provenienti dal mare, raccolti secondo la normativa europea del Beach Litter e Park Litter nel caso di pulizie delle dune e zone retrodunali.

A ovest di Cabras, la penisola del Sinis, si protende nel mare con una costa bassa e rocciosa, estendendosi nell’entroterra con un altopiano brullo e una bassa macchia mediterranea odorosa di rosmarino e di ginepro. Alla scogliera si alternano anche spiagge memorabili: a nord di capo Mannu le dune e le sabbie di Is Arenas sono coperte da una storica pineta, mentre a sud la costa si articola in cale di sabbia, promontori rocciosi e stagni. A sud delle suggestive scogliere di Su Tingiosu si trovano alcuni gioielli naturalistici, le spiagge di granuli quarzosi (del tutto simili a chicchi di riso) di Mari Ermi e Is Arutas. Alle spalle delle spiagge, di grande interesse naturalistico lo stagno di Cabras, e la laguna di Mistras, mentre di grandissima suggestione sono le rovine della città, prima nuragica poi fenicia e infine romana, di Tharros, situata proprio in riva al mare.

Attività formative
I volontari saranno coinvolti in attività di formazione tenute dai responsabili di Legambiente e dal personale dell’AMP sulle caratteristiche naturalistiche e storico-culturali del territorio, sull'avifauna e fauna selvatica del territorio e sulle attività di lavoro. Sono previsti focus sulla raccolta differenziata. Verranno organizzate anche delle passeggiate ed escursioni nell'entroterra del parco con relative informazioni sulla flora dell'area. Verrà inoltre organizzata una vista al CRES, il Centro Recupero Tartarughe della zona.
Alloggio
Ostello di Funtana Meiga - casa del Parco. A circa 30 min a piedi dalla borgata marina di San Giovanni di Sinis: l’ostello è dotato di camere con 4 posti letto ciascuna con un bagno comune con doccia ogni due camere. Sono presenti una cucina per la preparazione dei pasti e spazi esterni per il relax dei volontari.
Requisiti e materiali
Buona attitudine a camminare e andare in bicicletta. Disponibilità al confronto con turisti e fruitori delle spiagge. Buona sopportazione del caldo estivo che può raggiungere temperature alte soprattutto in alcuni periodi.

Dal 2017 Legambiente e Diversamente Marinai sono impegnati nella campagna “Vele Spiegate”. In questo contesto Diversamente Marinai propone campi di volontariato in barca a vela di una settimana nell'Arcipelago Toscano. Il progetto prevede la pulizia delle spiagge poco accessibili via terra, il monitoraggio dei rifiuti, il monitoraggio e il controllo delle tracce delle tartarughe marine Caretta Caretta, inoltre andremo alla scoperta dei sentieri che incontreremo nelle insenature dove ci fermeremo e mapperemo quelli che non sono presenti sulle carte. Il progetto mira alla conoscenza del mare attraverso la navigazione e alla creazione di team affiatati e motivati. Per questo i partecipanti impareranno la marineria antica e a farsi equipaggio a bordo di un ketch a vela del 1922. Inoltre, saranno formati sulle principali linee guida in termini di sostenibilità ambientale della fruizione del mare. Non ci può essere vera salvaguardia dell’ambiente senza saper apprezzare il paesaggio naturale. Il campo di lavoro vuole realizzare interventi concreti per migliorare la qualità ambientale mostrando all'equipaggio come vivere sul mare e con il mare sia un’esperienza indimenticabile. Le attività del campo sono arricchite dalla pratica quotidiana della riduzione degli sprechi che la vita di bordo comporta e dalla possibilità di spostarsi utilizzando prevalentemente il vento. Vele Spiegate è un progetto inserito nella Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenibile del Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscano per il periodo 2021-2025. Didattica della vela e la vita di bordo: l’attività prevede un corso di primo livello di navigazione a vela e conduzione di un’imbarcazione storica, attraverso la sperimentazione diretta delle nozioni acquisite.
Pulizia e monitoraggio delle spiagge accessibili solo dal mare: il progetto prevede la pulizia di alcune spiagge difficilmente accessibili via terra, attraverso la rimozione dei rifiuti. In tale occasione saranno anche monitorati i rifiuti attraverso la tecnica del Beach litter riportando dati e riflessioni su appositi moduli, fornendo dati che saranno utilizzati per scopi scientifici.
Ricerca e monitoraggio delle tracce della tartaruga Caretta caretta: i partecipanti impareranno a riconoscere le tracce della tartaruga e saranno impegnati anche nella ricerca delle stesse e nella sensibilizzazione di cittadini e turisti.
Mappatura sentieri: verrà monitorato lo stato dei sentieri che collegano le principali vie sentieristiche dell’isola alle spiagge e insenature, raggiungibili prevalentemente a piedi, e presso le quali faremo sosta con la nostra imbarcazione; e eventuale pulizia o segnalazione delle criticità riscontrate

L'Arcipelago toscano è formato da un gruppo di sette isole maggiori, di cui la più grande è l'isola d'Elba, più alcune minori, secche e scogli situati tra la terraferma toscana e la Corsica. L'arcipelago è bagnato da quattro mari: il mar Ligure a nord dell'isola d'Elba, il canale di Piombino a est, il mar Tirreno a sud e il canale di Corsica a ovest delle coste elbane. Il canale di Corsica e il canale di Piombino possono essere considerati come canali naturali di collegamento tra il mar Ligure e il mar Tirreno, rispettivamente a ovest e ad est dell'isola d'Elba.

Attività formative
Acquisizione delle conoscenze veliche di base per la conduzione di un’imbarcazione in sicurezza. Acquisizione delle conoscenze di base di marineria storica. Incremento della conoscenza di alcuni ambienti naturali dell’Arcipelago Toscano e della sua biodiversità. Apprendimento relativo alle emergenze ecologiche dell’ecosistema marino e costiero e correlazione con le abitudini di consumo e trattamento dei rifiuti. Attività formative di base volte al riconoscimento delle tracce della tartaruga marina (Caretta Caretta).
Alloggio
I partecipanti alloggeranno su un ketch a vela in legno del 1922 di 16,5 metri. I pasti verranno preparati in barca e si seguirà un'alimentazione prevalentemente vegetariana.

Nel corso di questi anni ha promosso diverse iniziative, collaborando con la Regione Toscana e il Progetto GiovaniSì con associazioni locali e nazionali. Legate al territorio dell’Isola d’Elba le rotte percorse dalle nostre imbarcazioni hanno solcato l’Arcipelago Toscano portando nei porti equipaggi misti, progetti scolastici e percorsi di trekking ambientale.

Swimtrekking significa letteralmente trekking a nuoto: è un modo originale per vivere e sentire l’ambiente, un viaggio in mare con maschera, boccaglio, pinne, muta, portando con sé tutto il necessario per l’escursione in un piccolo scafo in vetroresina da trainare: il barkino. I campi Swimtrekking si pongono l’obiettivo di proporre un’attività in mare che, attraverso l’escursionismo e l’esplorazione, consenta ai partecipanti di maturare un’esperienza autentica di confronto sulle tematiche della tutela e della salvaguardia dell’ambiente marino, anche e soprattutto attraverso la conoscenza della flora e della fauna.
Attraverso la guida di istruttori qualificati, i volontari esploreranno e monitoreranno i fondali marini (dalla superfice del mare) e i tratti costieri contribuendo alla raccolta dati su noci di mare, meduse, delfini e tartarughe attraverso l’applicazione AVVISTAPP (sviluppata e gestita dall’OGS di Trieste). Inoltre, verranno recuperati i rifiuti in mare e lungo la costa che saranno poi utilizzati per la realizzazione di opere artistiche che saranno fotografate, smaltite e, ove possibile, differenziate. Si ricorda che tutti gli istruttori della ASD Swimtrekking hanno una formazione specifica per guidare e seguire le varie fasi di un campo Swimtrekking abbracciando le compe-tenze tecniche della disciplina, conoscenze di biologia marina e di recupero e riciclaggio artistico dei rifiuti.
Lavoro
Le volontarie e i volontari recupereranno i rifiuti dal mare durante le nuotate lungo costa e li trasporteranno a riva.
Al termine delle attività in acqua si progetteranno e realizzeranno delle opere artistiche, utilizzando solo i materiali recuperati dal mare e dalle coste. I rifiuti saranno assemblati dando sfogo alla fantasia per produrre nuove forme che raccontano l’esperienza vissuta in mare. Il lavoro artistico verrà poi documentato attraverso foto e video.
Al termine dell’attività, le opere verranno smaltite seguendo le normative locali di raccolta differenziata. I volontari svolgeranno inoltre le attività di Marine and Beach Litter indagine sulla quantità e tipologia di rifiuti raccolti in mare e sulle spiagge raggiunte durante le escursioni, al fine di contribuire alla Direttiva Europea sulla Marine Strategy.
A fine campo sarà realizzato un video con tutti i contenuti delle attività svolte e consegnato ai partecipanti (munirsi di penna USB).
Altro aspetto fondamentale del campo sarà il censimento di specie marine e delle meduse. L’OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale proseguirà la collaborazione con Swimtrekking in un progetto Citizen Science estendendo per il 2025 la raccolta di informazioni su ogni avvistamento di meduse, tartarughe di mare, noci di mare e delfini.

Punta Ala è una località costiera situata in Toscana, nel comune di Castiglione della Pescaia, nella provincia di Grosseto. È caratterizzata da un territorio collinare che si affaccia su una spiaggia sabbiosa e ben curata. La località è circondata da una vegetazione tipicamente mediterranea, con pinete e macchia mediterranea che conferiscono un'atmosfera naturale e incontaminata. La zona è anche vicina a importanti aree protette come il Parco Naturale della Maremma, che offre un habitat ricco di biodiversità. Il paesaggio di Punta Ala è davvero suggestivo. Le acque cristalline del mare sono perfette per attività come nuoto, snorkeling e vela. La spiaggia è ben attrezzata e offre numerosi servizi per i turisti. L'area circostante è ideale per escursioni a piedi o in bicicletta, grazie ai sentieri che si snodano tra le colline e le pinete. Inoltre, la fauna locale include diverse specie di uccelli e animali marini, rendendola un luogo affascinante per gli amanti della natura. Punta Ala ha una storia ricca e affascinante. Originariamente, l'area era abitata dagli Etruschi, seguiti dai Romani, che sfruttarono la posizione strategica del territorio. Nel corso dei secoli, Punta Ala ha visto l'insediamento di diverse popolazioni e la costruzione di fortificazioni per difendersi dalle invasioni piratesche nel Medioevo. Un importante punto di riferimento storico è il Castello di Punta Ala, costruito nel XVI secolo per proteggere la costa.
Nel XIX secolo, Punta Ala divenne una meta ambita per nobili e aristocratici, contribuendo alla sua fama come località turistica esclusiva. Oggi, Punta Ala è conosciuta non solo per le sue bellezze naturali ma anche per le sue strutture turistiche di alta qualità.
Attività formative
I volontari, adeguatamente informati in merito a flora e fauna marina avranno il compito di censire, catalogare e studiare i comportamenti delle meduse, noci di mare, tartarughe e delfini incontrate durante le attività di esplorazione lungo costa. I volontari seguiranno inoltre le direttive tema dei progetti Marine and Beach Litter per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturalistico
Alloggio
Il Punta Ala Camp & Resort si estende all’interno di una pineta mediterranea. Il campeggio è una struttura turistica all’aria aperta che adesso occupa ben ventisette ettari ed è un vero e proprio “parco vacanze” dalle polivalenti opportunità di servizi e ospitalità particolarmente attenta e sensibile al tema dell’eco-turismo e alla tematica ambientale. Il Campeggio Punta Ala opera per ricreare un “natural lifestyle”, approccio riconosciuto e premiato da organizzazioni ambientali nazionali e internazionali.
I volontari sistemeranno le tende, fornite dalla ASD Swimtrekking, in un’area a loro riservata attrezzata con cucina da campo, le docce ed i servizi igienici in condivisione con gli altri campeggiatori.
I volontari dovranno munirsi di sacco a pelo, materassi-no ed eventualmente cuscino.
Per quanto riguarda i pasti, la prima colazione e la cena saranno organizzate sempre nell’area riservata del campeggio (vicino alle tende). I responsabili del campo e i/le partecipanti organizzeranno i pasti su base self-catering. Per il pranzo sarà preparato un pasto al sacco che verrà riposto nei barkini e trasportato durante l’attività in mare fino alla località prevista per la pausa pranzo.
Requisiti e materiali
L’attività dello Swimtrekking migliora la propria tecnica individuale nel nuoto, sviluppa l’autocontrollo e la conoscenza di sé e di una serie di tecniche quali l’apnea e il salvamento, studia la flora e la fauna, il moto ondoso, i venti e le correnti, rafforza e accresce le dinamiche del gruppo.
Sarà quindi fondamentale che tutti i volontari sappiano nuotare i due stili principali: lo stile libero e lo stile dorso. Specifichiamo inoltre che non sono assolutamente importanti i tempi di percorrenza e la tecnica indi-viduale ma una certa abitudine all’attività fisica. Si richiede quindi una certa consuetudine con l’attività spor-tiva di qualsiasi genere sia pur blanda. Le persone molto sedentarie non sono adatte a questo tipo di espe-rienza. Chiunque può quindi affrontare in maniera positiva l’esperienza di un campo Swimtrekking se interessato a sperimentare le conoscenze da noi proposte.

La ASD Swimtrekking è un’associazione sportiva dilettantistica affiliata alla UISP che da 30 anni organizza il trekking a nuoto in varie località del Mar Mediterraneo e del mondo.
L’attività dello Swimtrekking nasce con l’intento di esplorare e monitorare l’ambiente marino e si sostanzia nella realizzazione di corsi e stage, sia in piscina che in mare, le cui tematiche spaziano dalla tecnica dello Swimtrekking e dell’allenamento agli aspetti teorici e pratici della sicurezza in mare, della conoscenza della flora e della fauna, della tutela e salvaguardia dell'habitat marino, dello studio e della conoscenza dei venti, delle correnti e delle condizioni meteo-marine esclusivamente in funzione dell’attività stessa che porta. Le attività Swimtrekking coinvolgono bambini, adolescenti, famiglie, adulti e diversamente abili e seguono un progetto ambientale e sociale condotto da un team di educatori e tecnici del settore.

Volunteers will be involved in various activities throughout the week culminating in concerts and a fashion show on June 28th. Their tasks include cleaning public spaces, assisting with a pilgrim walk and workshop at Fewet Farm, supporting a record attempt for the most people wearing skirts in the town square, and helping with the event setup, ticket control, and visitor guidance. Throughout the week, volunteers will contribute to the smooth execution of events while fostering connections between local students and international volunteers. The overall physical demand will be similar to standard outdoor activities, such as carrying small or moderately heavy objects, walking longer distances, and cleaning public spaces. Regardless of the weather the main event will take place so a rain coat is required.
Luogo
Location of the project: The project will take place in the medieval town of Broumov, which is surrounded by walls from medieval times and known for its baroque features. The town has a population of approximately 7500 residents and is located on the border with Poland in the Northern part of the Czech Republic. Nearby the acommodation, you will find ATMs, stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, an info centre, a cinema, a theatre, and touristic paths.
Possible free time activities: During free time volunteers can primarily do outdoor activities. Volunteers can make a trip to the rocks nearby, which are national natural reserves. The local monastery also hosts collective meditations each Tuesday morning. On the 25th of June, there is a meeting with the community and an option to attend the ‘Experience Brewery Differently’ event. June also hosts a variety of other cultural events which volunteers are welcome to join.
Study part: Educational activities will connect volunteers with local traditions, culture, and environmental topics. They will visit Fewet Farm to learn about regional products, meet local animals, and join a waste recycling workshop. A lecture on Broumov’s history and its monastery will highlight its cultural and spiritual significance. A community event workshop will cover planning, fundraising, and public relations. An environmental workshop, linked to the city cleanup, will focus on waste management and nature conservation. These activities will be both educational and interactive, fostering cultural exchange and community engagement.

Volunteers will be accommodated in a guest house of the monastery, where participants will sleep in one big room with the rest of their peers. There is access to shared bathrooms and toilets. Bed sheets are included as well as free WiFi. There is no washing machine. You'll be taking an active part in the enhancement of local heritage by cleaning and beautifying a well located on a hiking trail. Currently hidden by cinderblock walls and tiles, this wall will be restored to its former glory thanks to your intervention. First, you'll deconstruct the surrounding structure, before rebuilding a protective roof and consolidating the existing one.
At the same time, you'll enhance the well and its immediate surroundings through meticulous cleaning. Accompanied by the villagers, you'll discover a warm, festive atmosphere, typical of the lively villages of the Dordogne.

The volunteers will engage in seasonal maintenance tasks, including mowing and collecting overgrown grass, clearing organic material from public areas, and ensuring that the castle’s open spaces remain well-kept. These tasks are crucial for the aesthetic and functional upkeep of the historic ensemble, preserving the visual integrity of the castle and its surroundings. The work also extends to the general maintenance of communal spaces and halls, contributing to the overall experience of visitors who use the castle for cultural events, educational programmes, and retreats. The income generated from these activities is directly reinvested into the castle’s conservation and educational projects, meaning that the work of volunteers directly supports heritage preservation efforts, even if not through conservation itself. Beyond the practical tasks, the workcamp offers a unique and immersive experience. When the castle closes its doors to the public in the evenings, it becomes the volunteers' home, a place where they can experience the privilege of inhabiting a medieval site. In this way, they take on the role of stewards, caring for the space as if it were their own. The experience encourages a sense of responsibility, ownership, and connection to heritage, reinforcing the idea that heritage sites thrive not only through large-scale restoration projects but also through the daily care and attention given to them by those who value their existence.

Lohra Castle is situated in the heart of Germany in Northern Thuringia. The castle, which is surrounded by a scenic hilly landscape, is located on the edge of a nature reserve area. Being one of the largest castles in Thuringia, the history of the castle Lohra begins in the Middle Age. The castle is more than 1,000 years old. Today, it includes twenty buildings from different times: medieval fortifications, remnants of a tower from the 11th century, a Romanesque chapel, a manor house from the Renaissance period as well as stables and granaries from the 19th and the early 20th centuries. The ensemble is situated in the centre of a beautiful forest. For years Lohra Castle was vacant. In the 1990s Open Houses started to restore the castle and to revive it by cultural activities. Since that time, a large number of Workcamps, Building Weeks, exhibitions, concerts and other activities with international participants took place in the castle.

Shared rooms with 2 – 5 beds in 3 guest houses, warm shower (limited hot water), 1 camp kitchen (cold water), coal-burning stoves. In most of Open Houses' camps the volunteers will live at the same places they also work on, what means that they live more or less on a building site. In most of the Heritage Volunteers Projects the accommodation is located in a certain distance to the working site. The accommodation is usually very simple; there are shared rooms with simple beds or mattresses at most of the places. Shower, toilet and kitchen are at the place, but sometimes not in the same building. The equipment is simple but fair. After work, when everybody wants to take a shower, there can be a limit of hot water. The meals will be prepared together as they are part of the community life, what means that every participant will be responsible for the meal at least once during its stay. So it would be very nice if the participants could bring typical recipes from home in order to introduce each other to the preparation of food from all over the world.

Open Houses – rooms open for those who come along. Open Houses – not empty buildings, but places with visible and invisible traces of history, places which have grown and decayed over the centuries, places which were shaped by those people who lived there long ago as well those who left only yesterday – places which will be shaped by those who live there or who come as a guest. Open Houses – rooms which want to be filled with dreams and ideas, with meetings and exchange, by people of different backgrounds, different cultures, different generations and different ideas and visions. The history of Open Houses Network dates back to the mid-1980s, when a group of young people started to restore village churches in East Germany in voluntary work to protect them from decay. The engagement for these buildings united people who enjoyed the freedom these activities provided and who filled these rooms with life again in ways which by far exceed the craftsmen's work done – through exhibitions, concerts, making music together or just sitting by the camp fire. Meanwhile, rooms free of political and ideological pressure are no longer urgently required; however, places have become rare where people can meet without commercial pressure, free of bureaucracy and institutionalism, free of nepotism and the exclusion which it produces. What should be easy – to go somewhere in order to meet people and to work together – has become difficult. The tightrope walk between, on the one hand, public activities in a monetary and functional sense, and the retreat into private life on the other, is very difficult, and it requires a lot of power and permanent efforts to tackle red tape and financial restrictions. Free spaces are less and less understood as common property, and are permanently being cut back. The idea of public property seems to have gone out of fashion, and places of common responsible work have become rare. Open Houses Network tries to create and protect such spaces. In this process, we do not want to be the doers, but be people who have a vision, who want to initiate something, but who also are aware of depending on the co-operation of others. We understand our projects and events as offers – as offers to create space for commitment, for changes, for meetings.

Activating kids in the city camp and providing them with cross-cultural learning experience. Volunteers will do it by using various informal methods of teaching as well as small group techniques. The activities to be held by a team of volunteers may include the following: playing the games and performing music that are popular in the countries the volunteers represent; training kids to perform pieces of amateur drama; preparing festivals; providing intellectual and sport games as well as discussions; preparing quests to combine with excursions round the places of interest; organizing actions for peace and nature protection; leading and supporting kids in their work on the team projects within the topics related to the main theme of the summer. Volunteers are responsible for the day activities in the camp. The work can be quite hard, involving long working hours, requiring high level of commitment and responsibility. You will stay with campers from 10:00 to 17:00 (45-minute lunch is included) and spend about another hour to prepare and finalize next day activities and feedback. Working days are from Monday to Friday plus one duty Saturday; Sundays are days off except the one after arrival. The local participants are mainly youngsters from minority groups of Tallinn whose family s languages include Russian. Based on the previous year, we expect a number of kids/teens participants in one camp shift as up to 40. Volunteers will work in pairs facilitating and leading a smaller group of 10 - 12 children or less during the day and change the groups every 2-3 days.During the first three days of the workcamp after arrival, volunteers will be given the training on the camp methodology and some time to prepare themselves to meet the kids/teens on Monday and further carry out their tasks in the camp. For this reason, it is important to arrive on time.

There are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the start of the project):1) The premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the volunteers accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a small dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Bed linen, towels, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, volunteers will be issued only one set of keys. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that between 01:00 a.m. and 09:00 a.m. the access to the building will be closed. Catering will be organized by the school on an agreement with the volunteers (selection of times, meals - provided or volunteers cook, etc.).2) A furnished shared apartment in the residential area of Tallinn. Volunteers will be issued two sets of keys. The apartment has three-four dormitory bedrooms and all necessary facilities, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center by public transport. Public transport cards will be provided. Volunteers will cook their breakfast meals themselves (food for a standard European breakfast will be provided); dinner meals will be served at school between 18:00 and 19:00; lunches will be organized for the whole camp (including kids/teens) in the city centre.Please note: it is not possible to stay at any of the camp accommodation options before or after the camp arrival and departure days. Special requirementsYou have to be really motivated to work with kids. Please provide a letter of your motivation along with the application form. An experience of working with children is an advantage. Your ideas and actual preparation to do the activities for kids are essential, so a successful volunteer will be required to meet the team online to discuss and complete some preliminary preparation. We ask you to bring some materials: postcards, posters, symbols of your country, music or popular national games etc., which can be used during your country presentation. We expect active volunteers with a good knowledge of history and culture of their country as well as with an ability and wish to present it to others in a creative way. B2 level of English is required. The age of volunteers is from 20 to 33. Please note that before making a final decision about your participation in the camp, the project coordinator will have a video interview with you.Participation feeWe ask participants to contribute 50 Euro towards the costs of general administration. Kriusilla is a small farm dealing with beekeeping, vegetables growing and forestry. Together we will build a storage room, built in stone. There already exists at this location an old slab and a retaining wall on which the building that we are going to construct will rest. Your mission will be to take this slab and start the foundations of the storage room. The reconstruction is planned in local stone, using the same method as all the buildings on the site. The objective is for the building to be in harmony with the whole. There will be 4 working days per week, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This work does not require any particular skills and will be supervised by a technical supervisor.

The hamlet of the Vallauria mine is located at an altitude of 1500 metres. The site is in the middle of the mountains, crossed by the river. We are 10 km from the village of Tende 06430 (2 hours from Nice by train) and 50 km from Ventimiglia (Italy). The site is a 3-hour walk from the mythical Valley of Wonders with its 40,500 engravings dating from the Neolithic period, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In addition to the weekend, one day in the middle of each week will be devoted to discovery and entertainment activities. You will discover the mountain environment, with its fauna and flora and the surrounding hikes (hiking on the archaeological site of the Vallee des Merveilles in the Mercantour National Park). You will have the opportunity to discover the historical and cultural heritage of the region, visit the surrounding villages and meet the inhabitants of the valley. You can also do sporting and thrilling activities such as canyoning, via ferrata, climbing, etc. We will organize activities and entertainment on site according to the wishes of each and every person in the group.

The accommodation is located on the construction site. You will be accommodated in dormitory rooms with 4 to 6 beds equipped with mattresses, pillows and bathroom facilities. Please bring your sleeping bag. You will participate in the collective and daily life of the group and the place. Food is provided in the budget, and meals will be prepared by you in turn, accompanied by the group life facilitator and in a kitchen with all the necessary equipment. You will participate in cleaning dishes and tidying up dining areas and the kitchen. Specific foods may be requested in order to cook typical dishes from each country or region. It is also possible to request vegetarian meals.

The Neige & Merveilles association welcomes you to the heart of the Mercantour National Park at an altitude of 1500 m, to work on the continuation of the Vallauria mining hamlet development project. You will discover an exceptional geological heritage and take part in a human and collective adventure which has lasted for more than 60 years. The Neige et Merveilles association has been working since its creation to revive this historic site in order to offer a haven of peace promoting discovery, meetings and diversity around the volunteer sites and the people on site.
On this masonry renovation site, you will participate in the reconstruction of the site ravaged by storm Alex in 2021. The mining site suffered the full force of this storm. The consequences were numerous, between material damage and impacts on the functioning of the structure. Since 2021, the association has done everything it can to rehabilitate the site in conjunction with the town of Tende, the Mercantour National Park and various local stakeholders.

The work for volunteers is designed to be diverse. On rainy days, tasks include cleaning and organizing the school and its garden. On sunny days, volunteers will remove invasive plant species (such as wild lupine and Himalayan balsam) from roadsides and clear overgrown areas.Additionally, volunteers will assist in setting up and dismantling traditional celebration events, helping in the community cafe, and other related tasks. Each day of the camp will have a program completed by local coordinators and the volunteers will be helping to realize it. The main activities will be intercultural learning through finding differences and similarities between Estonia and countries, where volunteers come from (history, traditions, language, singing, dancing). It will be done through games, drama, sport, discussions. We expect that volunteers would lead a workshop connected with their culture (traditional dances, games, everyday life, food specialities, etc.) It can be educational one or as a game to play. Taevaskoja Youth Camp is adventurous hiking camp that has been active for over 30 years. The aim of Taevaskoja camp is to support children s development through non-formal education. Such location brings children closer to unspoiled nature and gives them an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Estonian national heritage richly presented in the area. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Thematic photo and video contests for camp participants will be organized.

You support the youth department of the city of Nürtingen with several projects in different parts of the city. Creativity and manual skills are required. A few more projects are still being planned, so stay tuned!
- Collaboration at the youth culture festival
- Collaboration at the Neckarfest (large city festival with thousands of visitors): Some of you will be put to work at two stands, looking after a pile of slate (festival visitors can knock fossils out of the rock) and doing face painting for children. The others will be divided up and work at a barbecue or dishwashing stand, for example. You will also lend a hand with the construction.
- Wall design in a staircase and rooms in the youth center
- Under the guidance of the Swabian Alb Association: work in the forest, landscaping work in the garden of the accommodation, maintenance of war graves
- Renovation and design of a construction trailer for childcare

Nürtingen has about 41,000 inhabitants and is located on the river Neckar near the Swabian Alb. You will be provided with well-maintained bicycles. Ride through the beautiful landscape, to nearby lakes, along the Neckar or explore the biosphere area at the foot of the Alb. You can reach the outdoor pool in eleven minutes, the city center in eight. There is a direct train connection to the nearby student city of Tübingen with its numerous half-timbered houses. The train takes half an hour to the state capital Stuttgart. Many possibilities await you there: Museums, galleries, shopping, big zoo, planetarium, theater, clubs, vaudeville, etc. The city of Nürtingen invites you to various activities. Among them is an excursion with minibuses. You will visit a castle on the Swabian Alb and make a cave crossing. You will also meet young people from Nürtingen. The members of the youth council are eager to meet you. One evening you are invited to a barbecue in the youth center Roßdorf.

The Swabian Alb Association is nice enough to let you use its building on a hill in the Neckarhausen district. From the spacious grounds with an open-air stage, you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Swabian Alb. On the first floor you can use the large, light-flooded dining room. Behind it is a professional kitchen with a catering dishwasher. In the basement is the room where around ten people in your group can sleep on 10 cm thick insulating mats. If you wish, you can also lay out your mats in the garden in tents, in the shed or under the canopy. Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. We will set up an outdoor shower for you in a shower tent. Of course with hot water.
You cook together. You will be provided with money for shopping. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please indicate any intolerances when registering.

Other leisure activities will be organised collectively depending on the wishes of the group and the available budget. On day in Paris is scheduled.

I campi di formazione e volontariato per minorenni a Pioppi nascono con il chiaro obiettivo di formare i ragazz* alla vita di gruppo, alla scoperta e valorizzazione della natura marina e terrestre del nostro mediterraneo nel meraviglioso contesto del parco del Cilento, ospitati presso il centro Velico di Pioppi.
Oltre all'impegno ambientale, i partecipanti avranno anche l'opportunità di imparare nuove abilità sportive, grazie ai corsi di vela e SUP tenuti da istruttori qualificati. I corsi di vela consentiranno ai giovani di apprendere le basi della navigazione a vela, mentre i corsi di SUP offriranno loro di apprendere una disciplina divertente e sana. L’offerta del centro non si limita all’elemento acqua ma si addentra nella macchia e nella foresta mediterranea grazie al percorso naturalistico orientato che porta alla cascata del Pozzo dell’Uva Nera, agli sport di gruppo presso i campetti di calcio e padel, a soli 300m dal centro Velico, percorribili in sicurezza a piedi.

Alcune giornate del campo saranno dedicate ad attività di volontariato quali pulizia spiagge, pulizia del sentiero e manutenzione aree verdi del centro.
I partecipanti al campo saranno coinvolti attivamente nella pulizia delle spiagge e delle calette locali. Attraverso questa attività, impareranno l'importanza di preservare e proteggere gli ecosistemi marini, contribuendo direttamente alla salvaguardia dell'ambiente.
Un’attività cardine dei campi sarà la visita archeologica guidata presso il parco di Paestum o dell’antica Elea; il viaggio nella storia continua presso Il Museo Vivo del Mare e della Dieta Mediterranea che si trova a pochi passi dal Centro velico, una piccola passeggiata porta i ragazzi presso i Musei gestito da Legambiente e poi al centro del piccolo borgo di Pioppi, piccola comunità di pescatori che conserva intatto il fascino di una storia antica.
Luogo
Pioppi è la capitale mondiale della dieta mediterranea e uno dei luoghi più belli e noti della costa del Parco Nazionale del Cilento. La cultura mediterranea è ricca di frutti da cogliere durante queste esperienze; le radici culturali affondano nel Cilento sin dai tempi dell’antica Elea, insediamento della Magna Grecia, città stato di Parmenide e Zenone, che insiste a pochi chilometri dal nostro centro.
Attività formative
Attività sportive e formazione in mare (SUP, Windsurf, Vela, beachvolley, marine litter e laboratori di biologia marina)
Attività sportive e formazione a terra (calcio, padel, trekking, visite archeologiche, beach litter, laboratori e formazione sulla biodiversità e la dieta mediterranea)
I corsi sportivi di SUP, Vela e Windsurf saranno seguiti dai nostri istruttori certificati e guidati dai coordinatori di campo sempre presenti ed attenti alle necessità dei ragazz*.
La giornata della legalità si concentrerà sulla figura di Angelo Vassallo, sindaco di Pollica ucciso nel 2010, la cui opera è impressa nella bellezza dei luoghi che ospitano il campo. Incontreremo amici e familiari che con lui hanno condiviso battaglie e sogni.

Il Circolo Cilento Mediterraneo nasce a Pioppi sull'esempio e la memoria di Angelo Vassallo, sindaco indimenticato del nostro Comune, barbaramente ucciso nel 2010.
Il Circolo concentra le sue attività attorno al Museo del Mare e della Dieta mediterranea, che gestisce sotto l'egida di Legambiente nazionale.
Diverse le iniziative che durante l'anno coinvolgono cittadini e turisti, puntando sempre alla conservazione della natura e alla sensibilizzazione sui temi del rispetto per l'ambiente.
Il campo è realizzato in collaborazione con l'ASD Anemos Pioppi, associazione iscritta al Coni, che gestirà le attività sportive del campo.
