Saint-Alban-du-Rhone is a commune of 1,000 inhabitants in the Isere department of the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region. Bordered by the Rhone River, it enjoys a pleasant natural setting between the Dauphine plains and the Pilat foothills. Just a few kilometers from Vienne and an hour from Lyon, the commune offers a peaceful environment that s still close to major routes. Following on from the workcamps carried out in 2007 and 2008, Saint-Alban-du-Rhone is keen to welcome back a team of volunteers to help beautify and enhance the area.

Each day of the camp will have a program completed by local coordinators and the volunteers will be helping to realize it. The main activities will be intercultural learning through finding differences and similarities between Estonia and countries, where volunteers come from (history, traditions, language, singing, dancing). It will be done through games, drama, sport, discussions. We expect that volunteers would lead a workshop connected with their culture (traditional dances, games, everyday life, food specialities, etc.) It can be educational one or as a game to play. Therefore we look for active volunteers with good knowledge of history and culture of their country and ability to present it. Volunteer will work in partnership with professional local educators and youth workers i 9 staff members. The age of children is from 8 to 17 depending on shift.

Special requirementsYou have to love kids and be really motivated to work with them. The work demands 24-hours commitment and it can be pretty hard sometimes. Experience in work with children is an advantage. We expect active volunteers with good knowledge of history and culture of their country and ability to present it. All exciting ideas of activities for kids, games etc. are welcome. Good ability to communicate in English is needed and knowledge of Russian may be useful. The age of participants is 20-35.Participation feeWe ask participants to contribute 40 Euro towards the costs of general administration. Taevaskoja Youth Camp is adventurous hiking camp that has been active for over 30 years. The aim of Taevaskoja camp is to support children s development through non-formal education. During the youth camp kids participate in different workshops about health, safety, culture and enjoy climbing and hiking activities. Taevaskoja is located in South-Estonia, about 220 km from Tallinn. The camp site is very close to the one of the most popular natural touristic place - Suur Taevaskoda (The Large Heaven s Hall), surrounded by beautiful forest and close to the one of the longest rivers in Estonia. Such location brings children closer to unspoiled nature and gives them an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Estonian national heritage richly presented in the area. The camp aims also to develop children s knowledges about different cultures and support the growth of tolerance. To do that Taevaskoja Youth Camp invites international volunteers to join the camp as animators. Children come to Taevaskoja camp from all over Estonia. Gönüllü Hizmetler Derneği-Childhood Dreams program, organized for children between the ages of 10-14 with limited access, is a social content and child-themed workcamp. A volunteer team consisting of foreign and Turkish volunteers will run a 1-week camp program with under state care children. The program content, activities to be done with the children and the organization of the volunteer team will be planned by the Childhood Dreams camp leader. The camp has been running successfully since 2009 with the same theme.

Kalben Children's Village was established by Kalben Association in 2024. The village is on an island in Balıkesir (city). It is possible to organize activities such as swimming and walking tours on the island as part of the program for volunteers.

Guanglong Community is located in the southeastern part of Taiping District at the foot of Chelongpu Mountain Range. It is bordered to the north by Xinglong Village, to the south by Yonglong Village, and to the west by Changyi Village, with the Toubiankeng River serving as the natural boundary. With an area of 3.1059 square kilometers, it is a village that was reborn after experiencing the horrible quake happened in Sep. 21st 1999.This project aims to provide a meaningful holiday experience by pairing volunteers with children in need of guidance and support in their learning journey. Participants will engage in activities such as reading, tutoring, and creative workshops, fostering an encouraging environment for the kids growth and development. Aims:Taiping District is a peripheral area of Taichung City, and Guanglong. Village is a quiet community located in the Chelongpu region of Taiping.Due to the scarcity and unequal distribution of resources, children have limited access to education, particularly in English learning environments. This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with Sansonjuku since 2008. This project has been organized with Sansonjuku, founded in 1994, maintaining forest and step rice paddies through the projects which involves people from the city and local. They started 80-days of international workcamp with NICE since 2008 to make the footpath and maintain the forest. But on July 2012, the hardest rain ever attacked around this area. After that it had serious damages by flood. Their aim is to activate the community and sustain the program with young people from the world to conserve this rich nature and revival this area!

During the camp volunteers will do many different activities, from planting an alley of flowers and mowing the lawns, to sanding and painting wooden sculptures in the local park, then prepare the ground for the new statue in the Memorial Park. In the landscape house, for wooden objects protective material will be used in order to preserve the texture. If time allows, there will be a space to create new totems and put them in the park.
Also, this year the volunteers will help in making of 5m high vantage point.

Totovo Selo is a picturesque village with almost completely Hungarian population in the Kanjiža municipality, in the North Banat District, Vojvodina province. It is surrounded by natural beauty with beautiful fields and friendly hosts. Settlement was founded at the end of the 19th century. The name "Totovo Selo" (literally- Tot's village) comes from Tót József, at that time (at the threshold of the 20th century) wealthy local landlord, who donated 72 houses without any compensation dividing his property among his wage-earners and workers.
One of the most interesting attractions there is the model of the Danube, which is built together with the former participants of the camp. In the village there are 5 parks, a barn, an autochthonous Hungarian breed of sheep and a farmhouse. In the village, there are few festivals that are organized every year (a kettle and brandy festival, a festival of folk customs, to mention just those...).
Few excursions to the surrounding places and towns will be organized (including going to the beach at river Tisa).
Please bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures of this Serbian-Hungarian village is really important to the host.

The accommodation will be in a local boarding house in rooms with 2-5 beds and a bathroom. Bedding is provided. Meals are provided in the dining hall of the local centre, 3 times a day. Also, the dinners will be made with the help of everyone in the courtyard of the boarding house, with local traditional food.
Keep in mind that there might probably be a very limited internet connection, but we will see what can be done to use it from the locals without their permission (no, no, we will try to find alternatives, don't worry).

The main task is harvesting various berries and vegetables such as rhubarb, currants, raspberries, Japanese quince, then helping juice making and products packaging. But there is also weed control and fertilization with mulch in plantations, mowing grass, cutting branches, removal of bushes and wood chipping, assistance in the construction of various small buildings, vegetable beds and other necessary structures on the site, painting as well. And there is ongoing work of planting seeds. Working hours are 5-7 hours a day for 5 days a week. The exact work depends on season and partly on weather conditions.

LocationThe farm is located in Kanepi municipality just 11 km from Otepaa and 47 km from Tartu. When coming from Tartu, choose a bus to Voru and get off at the Saverna stop. Buses stop there quite often, travel takes about 40 minutes. Also you can come through Otepaa. Knowing you arrival time and place hosts will pick you up from there. Bus information is on www.tpilet.ee or www.luxexpress.ee. The farm is located in the tiny village of Aiaste. It is important to understand that it is calm and quiet place (there are no events in the village). But with nice weather, it is possible to watch animals like deer on the field, foxes in a strawberry bed and storks. While sitting by the fire at night, enjoy stars in the sky and listen to the nature sounds by animals such as badgers or raccoons.Leisure timeIt is possible to swim, make a fire, play volleyball, disc golf and other games or go for mushroom picking if you like it. There is a swimming lake in Valgjarv 4 km away. You can use various hiking trails. If interested you can visit nearby farms where you can get to know horses, sheep and other animals and see many other interesting things. Farm life conditions are simple but decent. Sleeping is in a separate house in beds. Bed sheets, blankets and pillows are provided, so no need for sleeping bag. There is outdoor kitchen with all necessary equipment. Volunteers can make breakfast and lunch themselves, and dinner will be prepared by and taken with the family. Washing is in the sauna. There is a dry organic toilet. Volunteers have to take care of their surroundings by cleaning up after themselves.

The main task of this workcamp is the reconstruction of the historical wall that once was the edge of the horse stable of the property. The work of reconstructing a wall is not too exhausting and is suitable for all ages; patience and determination are key qualities. Tasks include repairing joints with crumbling mortar, replacing stones that were removed due to overgrown vegetation, and performing minor maintenance work such as painting windows, pruning overgrowth around the building, collecting and transporting waste to a container, and digging trenches. Working boots are essential, and we recommend taking a headlamp or other flashlight.

Location: The workcamp takes place in Janovice near Rymarov in a protected landscape area of the Jeseniky mountains. Janovice is a small village with 670 inhabitants located in the foothills of Praded Mountain (the highest peak of Jeseniky Mountains). Leisure time: The foothills of the Jeseníky Mountains are home to many remarkable sites, though most require some travel. Highlights include Karlova Studánka, a unique mountain spa with well-preserved 18th-century architecture; Sovinec Castle; Praděd, the highest mountain in Moravia; and the largest waterfalls in northern Moravia. For those looking to stay closer, there are plenty of scenic spots within walking distance that offer breathtaking mountain panoramas. Additionally, on the chateau grounds, visitors can explore an exhibition by the National Heritage Institute inside the chateau building.
Study part: Volunteers will start the workcamp with the workshop "Historic Stone Wall Restoration". There will be the possibility to have a guided tour of the castle including a tour around the brewery, visit the local museum, the brocade production exhibition, or the region's outstanding Baroque sacred monument. The local partner will organize a meeting with the local community. For example, you might get the chance to meet a local sculptor, a teacher, a jewelry maker using a 3D printer, or even a world champion in whip cracking!

You will be accommodated in an apartment directly in the brewery. The apartment consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a bathroom with a shower and 2 toilets. Volunteers can sleep in the living room or there is also another smaller bedroom. Volunteers will sleep together, some on mattresses with blankets and pillows, others on sleeping mats in sleeping bags. Bring your sleeping bag and a mat (a small pillow is always useful). The washing machine, dryer, hairdryer, shower gels and shampoos are available. Wifi is also available. The volunteers will cook the meals together in the fully equipped kitchen from the provided ingredients. Vegan and vegetarian meals are possible.

This workcamp is organized in cooperation with the Association for the Renovation of the Brewery in Janovice. In 2018 the association took over a 200-year-old neglected brewery in the village of Janovice, northern Moravia. The workcamp aims to reconstruct, revitalize, and clean up the old brewery to fulfill the association’s long-term goal—transforming it into a cultural center for the residents of Janovice. While the brewery’s renovation is an ongoing process, volunteers this year won’t be directly involved in ground breaking or community defining moments. Instead, they will have the opportunity to connect with local professionals and enthusiasts who support the project. Through these interactions, volunteers will experience the community from a different perspective, engage in cultural exchange, and gain insight into the town’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit. At this workcamp, you will actively contribute to the achievement of the United Nation Sustainable Development Goal 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities.

The former women's concentration camp Ravensbruck was built in 1939 near the small town of Furstenberg/Havel. Until its liberation in April 1945, over 120,000 women and children, 20,000 men and 1,000 underage young women from the so-called "Uckermark Youth Protection Camp" were imprisoned there. The prisoners came from more than 40 nations. They had to perform forced labor in various sectors, e.g. for SS factories or the Siemens company. Their daily lives were marked by hunger, mistreatment and poor hygienic conditions. Tens of thousands of prisoners were killed. Today, the Ravensbruck Memorial preserves traces and records, promotes remembering and research, and creates a place for active learning and encounters. Every year, international work camps are organized in cooperation with the memorial.

You will work together with the ?LEiV? (Verein Lebende Erde) which is a landscape protector group in the European NATURA2000-site ?Teile des Sudoststeirischen Hugellandes?. You will work on the meadows to collect the hay and in the woodlands to clean them from neophytes. The core idea is to assist the organisation with the traditional art of work that aims to preserve the area and its wildlife.
You will also help at the European-Roller Festival (a protected bird from the region). Moreover, you will have excursions to the wonderful protected species living on the side and visit the Mur-river for rafting.

Zhongli District in Taoyuan City was originally settled by the Hakka people. The valley formed by a stream was called Li in the Hakka language, and the location surrounded by Laojie River and Xinjie River was named Jianzai . During the Japanese colonial period, the area was renamed Zhongli Street , which became the main road connecting the north and south.The area near the Laojie River(32769;34903;28330;) is known as the Laojie District , and it is home to Japanese-style buildings, century-old shops, Hakka culture, and the Laojie River which has greatly influenced the local way of life. Unfortunately, with the passing of time, many local youths and immigrants are no longer familiar with the historical context of this area. Il campo si svolge nello splendido scenario dell’Area Marina Protetta Penisola del Sinis – Isola di Mal di Ventre, istituita nel 1997 a tutela di questo territorio costiero delicato quanto prezioso. Il comune di Cabras, gestore dell’Area Marina Protetta, da anni è impegnato in un importante percorso di conservazione della biodiversità e della tutela del mare, dedicando risorse allo sviluppo di un turismo sostenibile e responsabile, puntando quindi sull’uso rispettoso del mare e del territorio da una parte, e sulla valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale e archeologico dall’altra. I campi di volontariato che Legambiente realizza quest’estate, in collaborazione con l’AMP e il comune, si inseriscono in questo contesto; gli obiettivi sono di sensibilizzare gli abitanti e i turisti a una fruizione corretta dell'ambiente marino e costiero e di migliorare l’offerta di turismo sostenibile sull’isola, attraverso la sorveglianza dell’area protetta, il monitoraggio e la pulizia dai rifiuti.

II volontari garantiranno un presidio costante dell’AMP e svolgeranno le seguenti attività: informazione e sensibilizzazione dei turisti sulla corretta fruizione della spiaggia, con particolare attenzione alla tutela delle spiagge con granuli di quarzo, pulizia delle coste dalla presenza di eventuali rifiuti spiaggiati, monitoraggio e catalogazione dei rifiuti spiaggiati provenienti dal mare, raccolti secondo la normativa europea del Beach Litter e Park Litter nel caso di pulizie delle dune e zone retrodunali.

A ovest di Cabras, la penisola del Sinis, si protende nel mare con una costa bassa e rocciosa, estendendosi nell’entroterra con un altopiano brullo e una bassa macchia mediterranea odorosa di rosmarino e di ginepro. Alla scogliera si alternano anche spiagge memorabili: a nord di capo Mannu le dune e le sabbie di Is Arenas sono coperte da una storica pineta, mentre a sud la costa si articola in cale di sabbia, promontori rocciosi e stagni. A sud delle suggestive scogliere di Su Tingiosu si trovano alcuni gioielli naturalistici, le spiagge di granuli quarzosi (del tutto simili a chicchi di riso) di Mari Ermi e Is Arutas. Alle spalle delle spiagge, di grande interesse naturalistico lo stagno di Cabras, e la laguna di Mistras, mentre di grandissima suggestione sono le rovine della città, prima nuragica poi fenicia e infine romana, di Tharros, situata proprio in riva al mare.

Attività formative
I volontari saranno coinvolti in attività di formazione tenute dai responsabili di Legambiente e dal personale dell’AMP sulle caratteristiche naturalistiche e storico-culturali del territorio, sull'avifauna e fauna selvatica del territorio e sulle attività di lavoro. Sono previsti focus sulla raccolta differenziata. Verranno organizzate anche delle passeggiate ed escursioni nell'entroterra del parco con relative informazioni sulla flora dell'area. Verrà inoltre organizzata una vista al CRES, il Centro Recupero Tartarughe della zona.

Ostello di Funtana Meiga - casa del Parco. A circa 30 min a piedi dalla borgata marina di San Giovanni di Sinis: l’ostello è dotato di camere con 4 posti letto ciascuna con un bagno comune con doccia ogni due camere. Sono presenti una cucina per la preparazione dei pasti e spazi esterni per il relax dei volontari.

Buona attitudine a camminare e andare in bicicletta. Disponibilità al confronto con turisti e fruitori delle spiagge. Buona sopportazione del caldo estivo che può raggiungere temperature alte soprattutto in alcuni periodi.

I campi di volontariato si svolgono nella spiaggia dell’Isola dei Conigli, zona A di Riserva Naturale e sito di deposizione della tartaruga marina Caretta caretta. I campi hanno una duplice finalità: contribuire alla tutela della spiaggia, intensamente frequentata a fini balneari, in modo da garantire le condizioni ambientali idonee all’ovodeposizione di Caretta caretta, controllando l’impatto antropico sul sito; sorvegliare e proteggere i nidi di Caretta caretta, dalla deposizione alla schiusa. Questi campi sono una grande occasione per quanti, appassionati della natura, vogliono prendersene cura svolgendo attività utili ed entusiasmanti, in uno dei luoghi più belli di Lampedusa e del Mediterraneo, meritevole di essere salvaguardato per la sua bellezza e per la sua grande importanza naturalistica.

Il campo prevede lo svolgimento di turni giornalieri di 6 ore circa e, all’occorrenza, turni notturni di 8–10 ore. I turni giornalieri sono finalizzati al controllo della balneazione, mediante sorveglianza ed attività di informazione e sensibilizzazione dei bagnanti, in modo da far rispettare i regolamenti vigenti nella riserva. Dalle 8 alle 20.00 i volontari si alterneranno per coprire due postazioni fisse: una all'ingresso della Riserva e una sulla spiaggia. All'ingresso, i volontari forniranno informazioni ai visitatori e forniranno supporto agli operatori nelle attività di controllo degli accessi alla spiaggia. In spiaggia, i volontari sorveglieranno gli eventuali nidi deposti, saranno punto di riferimento per quanti vogliono conoscere la biologia riproduttiva di Caretta caretta e svolgeranno attività di sensibilizzazione nei confronti dei turisti (inviteranno al rispetto delle norme comportamentali da osservare, effettueranno la pulizia dell’arenile, ecc.). I volontari, inoltre, collaboreranno nelle attività di rilevamento dei dati sulla fruizione e saranno di sostegno agli operatori della riserva per il rilevamento dei dati sui nidi di tartaruga e sui piccoli. I turni notturni si svolgeranno presso la struttura ubicata all'ingresso della riserva e sono finalizzati ad impedire l’accesso in spiaggia di eventuali visitatori durante la notte, che potrebbero pregiudicare gli eventi di nidificazione della tartaruga. Durante le schiuse dei nidi i turni notturni si svolgeranno in spiaggia. I volontari parteciperanno anche alle attività di salvaguardia e sorveglianza (diurna e notturna) di eventuali nidi deposti in altre spiagge dell’isola che rientrano nelle competenze dell'Ente Gestore della Riserva. I volontari, a turno, si occuperanno anche della preparazione dei pasti e della pulizia dell’alloggio.

Molto più vicina all’Africa che alla Sicilia, Lampedusa appartiene all’Arcipelago delle Pelagie. Nel 1996 la Regione Siciliana ha istituito la Riserva Naturale “Isola di Lampedusa”, gestita da Legambiente Sicilia. L’area protetta si estende per circa 360 ettari lungo un’ampia fascia incontaminata della costa meridionale dell’isola ed è finalizzata alla conservazione delle espressioni più significative della fauna e della flora presenti sul territorio. La spiaggia dei Conigli è stata per anni oggetto di ogni forma di abuso e degrado, ma grazie agli interventi di recupero ambientale, controllo e sensibilizzazione dell’Ente Gestore oggi è un modello di gestione e promozione di un turismo sostenibile, che ha saputo coniugare conservazione della natura con la fruizione del territorio.

Attività formative
All’inizio di ogni campo i volontari parteciperanno ad un incontro formativo presso la sede della Riserva (tenuto dal personale della Riserva), durante il quale verranno fornite le principali informazioni sull’area protetta (storia, caratteristiche, regolamento, ecc.), sulla biologia della tartaruga marina e sulle attività che si svolgeranno durante il campo.

Il campo è particolarmente impegnativo, poiché prevede una turnazione continua per garantire il controllo del sito h24. This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

Volunteer will help to 1) maintain the old houses by cleaning up, drying many sleeping mats, etc., 2) do farming (weeding in the green tea field that was abandon, cultivating, planting and harvesting potatoes) and 3) do other community work (e.g., construction, chopping woods, trail maintenance). Children sometimes work with adults and other times play in the nature (river, etc.) by the assistance of some parents (by turns) and supporting vols.

Location: 200 km north east of Osaka. Katsuyama is an agricultural city and famous for dinosaurs discovery. Ohara village is located at 500 m a.s.l. and surrounded by the mountains with very rich nature (e.g., the spring water is drinkable and very tasty!). Leisure: Exchange parties, Excursion on a free day including the famous Dinosaurs Museum and its experience program of fossil excavation, etc.

This project is actively working for SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with Ohara Eco Project (OEP) since 2009. There were 600 inhabitants in Ohara village with 90 houses 100 years ago, but now only 1 elder! OEP was founded by the local people in 2006 and has rehabilitated 7 houses of cultural heritage. They maintain and revive the trails and fields, organize the workcamps with NICE and run various eco tours, so got the best prize in the award of Creating Home Town by the national government in 2016! The family workcamp started since 2013 (President of NICE keeps joining as a leader with his kids) and hosted a lot of families from Japan, Asia, Europe and Americas with great success.
*Outcome of this workcamp: In 2024, 17 vols. from 5 families joined and made great contribution to have dried over sleeping mats, weed in the tea field (see the pictures), made natural clay for walls, cleaned the village road, etc. Please see the presentation made by the volunteer for the IVS contest in Japan; https://www.slideshare.net/nice-workcamp/e5-55193721 (only Japanese for the moment, but you can at least enjoy the pictures!)

After two years spent restoring the interior walls of the church, the aim of this project is to continue renovating the walls of the Saint-Jacques-et-Saint-Philippe church in Buxerolles. The church dates back to the 11th century, but the walls have been plastered with cement, which has led to poor drainage of moisture and created saltpetre. Accompanied by a specialist technical supervisor, you will first have to remove the plaster from the walls, then dehumidify the walls, and finish by plastering them with lime. Other traditional masonry work will give you a chance to familiarise yourself with these techniques. Come with work clothes or clothes that may be damaged or soiled. We will provide you with safety equipment. No qualifications are required for this project. You will work 4 to 5 hours a day.

Buxerolles (86180) is located in the Greater Poitiers conurbation, in the Vienne departement (86), 6 km from Poitiers.
At the crossroads of several charming little villages in the Vienne, you'll be able to take full advantage of the local heritage. When you're not working on the site, you'll be taking part in summer activities such as July 14th. Outings to Poitiers or Chatellerault and activities such as the Futuroscope, bowling or cinema, can also be organised.

You will sleep on mattresses at the Espace Marcel Varliette, where all facilities are available (toilets, kitchens, showers, common room, etc.). The church is located in the same place as the accommodation. You must bring your own duvet and pillow, and we'll provide inflatable mattresses. Meals, especially lunch and dinner, will be prepared by participants on a rotating basis, ensuring respect for environmental values, local resources, and everyone's cultural preferences. Both hot and cold dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan options, will be included.

Not far from Poitiers, between the sky and the earth, in this commune called Buxerolles, an ancient church first mentioned in 1226, the Saint-Jacques-et-Saint-Philippe de Buxerolles church dates back to the Romanesque period. A first chapel, completely destroyed when the building was rebuilt in 1868, dates back to the 11th century. After several years, the building is in need of a facelift, and the project will involve refurbishing the church as well as intercultural sharing between locals and peace-building volunteers.

Help us to create pallet outdoor furniture for the commune of Les Mureaux, creating a cheerful, welcoming environment for local residents!
The city of Les Mureaux has a number of social and youth structures that are essential for social action at family level, and for the city's cultural activities. The aim of the project will be to create an outdoor living room using recycled wooden street furniture, so that it can once again become a welcoming and convivial space for the community, and in particular for the neighborhood's young people! Workshops will be organised to raise awareness of sustainable development, as well as workshops with children and many community visits.

Les Mureaux is a suburban town with a population of 32,000 in the northern Yvelines region, just under an hour from Paris. Civic activities include a visit to the Musee de l'Immigration in Paris, a meeting with the NGO Terre d'Asile, Refugee Food, the Chateau de Versailles and the Amarres third place center. Social events in Les Mureaux and Paris are planned throughout the workcamp.

You will be accommodated in a hard-standing building (gymnasium, school or social center) with hard-standing toilets and showers. Lunches and dinners will be cooked collectively, i.e. you will take it in turns to cook for all the volunteers. Weekday lunches will be taken in the canteen. A budget will be allocated to the leaders for the shopping in which you will participate, giving priority to healthy and local products, and vegetarian products. Wifi will not be available at the mission site and at the accommodation site. There is no washing machine but laundries are accessible in town if needed, 4?.

Foreigners from the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues arise on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.

I partecipanti, accompagnati dai camp leaders, trascorreranno dieci giorni sulle rive del Lago di Como, dedicandosi ad attività di pulizia delle spiagge di Oliveto Lario. Il progetto, promosso da Legambiente, mira anche a sensibilizzare i bagnanti, spesso legati a un turismo mordi e fuggi, sull'importanza di tutelare l'ambiente. L’iniziativa punta inoltre a coinvolgere la comunità locale, composta da residenti che vivono nella zona tutto l’anno e hanno il diritto di abitare in un luogo pulito e ben preservato.
Si sperimenterà una vita comunitaria svolta nel modo più sostenibile possibile: mangiando prevalentemente vegatariano!

Scopo dei volontari sarà quello di raccogliere i rifiuti dalle spiagge di Oliveto Lario. Durante il campo, poi, i volontari saranno occupati ad aiutare il circolo locale di Lecco nella divulgazione di materiale informativo. I volontari lavoreranno per circa 5 ore al giorno con un giorno libero nel corso della durata del progetto.

Il comune di Oliveto Lario si affaccia direttamente sul Lago di Como, offrendo una vista panoramica sui profili delle montagne circostanti. È il luogo ideale sia per intraprendere passeggiate in montagna sia per concedersi momenti di relax sulle rive del lago.

Non sono previste attività formative specifiche, se non quelle relative alle spiegazioni delle attività da svolgere e dei materiali da distribuire. In caso di maltempo, in accordo con i camp leaders, si potranno valutare attività formative su temi di sostenibilità ambientale.

I partecipanti saranno alloggiati in strutture messe a disposizione dal Comune di Oliveto Lario.
Requisiti e materiali
Non soffrire di mal di mare, saper nuotare, buona attitudine a camminare, conoscere l'inglese livello base per poter comunicare con turisti stranieri, saper essere aperti al dialogo, avere voglia di lanciarsi in un'attività di gruppo pratica e divertente.

Inoltre, è impegnata in campagne contro lo spreco alimentare e nella pulizia di aree naturali, organizza progetti Erasmus+ per i giovani e promuove la mobilità sostenibile con il progetto "Piedibus" a Lecco.
