You will meet earthenware artisans and visit the museum in the town. The residents, community volunteers and elected officials will come to meet you and will be happy to share their territory with you.

You will be accommodated in the building adjoining the Church, located in the center of the village. The sanitary facilities and kitchen will be at your disposal. You will participate in the collective preparation of meals and the tasks of daily life. You will go to the construction site on foot (around 10 minutes).

This work has improved access, safety and the aesthetics of the trail.2024: Work on the apies walls, testimony to local beekeeping know-how. The Electra power station in Viesgo began operating at the beginning of the 20th century and was responsible for supplying energy to Cantabria.
Conservation and maintenance practices will be carried out on the accesses and machinery installed there, such as: cleaning, sanding, painting... All of this related to industrial heritage. Another part of the intervention consists of the recovery of the old engine house. In addition, the park of La Central in Puente Viesgo will be presented.

Puente Viesgo is a pretty village of the Autonomic Community of Cantabria, situated inside the ‘Valles Pasiegos’ and just half an hour and 31km from Santander. One of the most beautiful touristic attraction is the ‘Art Rural Centre’ which was created for spreading the archeologic and prehistoric heritage as it has got the ‘Monte Castillo’ caves complex, divided in four caves although only two of those are opened for visiting (‘La Cueva de las Monedas’ (coin cave) and ‘La cueva del Castillo’ (castle cave)). It also has a spa that takes advantage of the medicinal waters of the spring.
The aim of the complementary activities will be to promote solidarity, coexistence, equality and participation:
- A full touristic, cultural or sportive excursion day to the beach.
- A thematic workshop of Cantabria’s cultural heritage.
- A cave visit near the location
- A biking activity.
- A surfing activity.
- A hiking route activity.
- A workshop in equality.
- A workshop on the Sustainable Development Goals.

In almost all places in Germany, there are gravesites from the Second World War that commemorate the victims of war and tyranny. This is also the case in the municipality of Apen in Ammerland. In various small village cemeteries, 14 graves of soldiers aged 17-21 who died just a few days before the end of the war have been preserved. These graves are to be restored and repaired. Your tasks will include cleaning the weathered stones and rebordering the gravesites. Under the guidance of a historian, you will engage in biographical work and historical research and set up information boards with QR codes to raise awareness of commemoration, remembrance and a culture of peace.
The accommodation is approx. 6 to 7 km away from the various work locations. You will be provided with bicycles for the journey to work and for leisure activities. You cycle from Nordloh to Apen in about 20 to 30 minutes, but there are also minibuses available for transfers to the individual work sites.

The seminar house is in a very rural location, but surrounded by beautiful nature. Bicycles are available for excursions in the surrounding area - the house is located directly on the ?Fehn-Route?, a popular long-distance cycle route. 3 km away is the seafaring village of Bar?el with shopping facilities and a harbour worth seeing. It is 16 km to the climatic health resort of Bad Zwischenahn with the lake ?Zwischenahner Meer?. There is an outdoor swimming pool in Hengstforde, 6 km away. The towns of Leer, Emden, Oldenburg and Bremen are easy to reach by train. Together with young people from Apen, you will go on a canoe trip.

- The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. You will definitely be a part of history of these villagers that fought for their nature in this area!
Work itself will be divided into cleaning and arranging paths that lead up to some nice viewpoints of Stara planina ("The old mountain" in Serbian) as well as the local natural swimming pool "Ženski vir" (Women vortex). Also, you will help to clean the spot for creating small picnic area at the top of the hill nearby, where the view on the surroundings is magnificent. Taking care of the river will also be your task during these days.
Second part will be the support in organization of the festival for nature lovers - arranging the centre of village, setting up the stage and info counters, while on the days of the festival, volunteers will support the workers in handing out flyers and in the whole production.

Topli Do, one of the most remote villages of the municipality of Pirot (1 hour drive from there), is located in the Stara planina nature park under its highest peak, Midžor (2,169m).
The village is one of the most authentic villages on Stara planina (it is officially inside the Stara planina Nature Park). Only 7 km from the village is the peak Babin zub (1,759 m) and the famous ski resort Jabučko ravnište. The village is reached from the direction of the village of Temska, where you pass through the canyon of the river Temštica ("Little Colorado"), certainly one of the most beautiful and attractive canyons of this type in Serbia.
What makes Topli Do and its surroundings stand out from other old mountain villages is the abundance of waterfalls, unique in many ways in Serbia. A special attraction about 4 km from the village is the Piljski waterfall - 64 m. About 8 km from the village there is another interesting waterfall, Kurtulski - 27 m high.
In every case, we recommend you to bring just patience and smile and it will be one great adventure!

Accommodation for volunteers will be provided in the adapted building of the agricultural cooperative "Topli Do" - the mountain lodge Topli Do. Accommodation is provided for volunteers in three four-bedded rooms. Blankets and bedding are provided. The building of the mountain lodge itself is a village building adapted for these purposes and is used as a lodge for adventurers and mountaineers throughout the year. The home has a toilet, a bathroom and a shower with hot water.
The local partner, the "Stojanovic" farm, will prepare meals for volunteers and other festival participants during the camp and the festival. Meals will be served in the canteen in the premises of the agricultural cooperative Topli Do, just across the accommodation.

Their wish is to protect Topli Do as a natural oasis of freedom (it is declared as Free eco-zone, where no investor and comercial tourism are welcome) and to encourage the development of tourism and a healthy way of life and thinking in Serbia. One of the goals of the association is to prevent the village from further dying, by restoring new life through various projects. The association brings together Toplodolci (people born in Topli Do and those who trace their origins to this village), but also includes Toplodolstvo - friends and enthusiasts from all over Serbia and the region. United, they want to renew life in the countryside and return to tradition and untouched nature in order to seek inspiration and energy for modern challenges.
Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. ProgramThere are diverse activities in the camp program: canoeing, water scootering, running ATV, paintball in the forest, sport games - football, rugby, volleyball, athletics, table tennis, archery, frisbee, disc-golf, trampolines, different competitions, forest cross, sport orientation in the forest on and on sea (navigation), fishing, Viking boats, bicycle trips to explore the area, visit to the horse farm with horse riding, excursions historical places of interest in the area, active games and adventure trail in Roosta Adventure Park, picnics on a seaside, building sand and stones castles on the beach, Estonian sauna party, etc. Bikes are available for the whole camp duration free of charge. WorkThere will be also some voluntary work such as painting of community buildings, making wooden toys and games for local orphanage, repairing benches and tables, cleaning local beach and old local park from garbage, planting trees, little renovation works in the local school, clearing pavement, helping seniors living in the community with some household duties, preparing fire woods for heating, berries and herbs picking to give the crop to the orphanage and seniors home, duty in a kitchen and around the camp once in a shift, etc. The work will be organised in cooperation with local forestry department, municipality of Nova and local school. Please note that the work described above is planned for the whole summer and it may change from one shift to another depending on local needs, the season and weather conditions.

AccommodationIn wooden huts set by the local school nearby the seaside (500 m away). Please bring your sleeping bag and mat. If possible, please take tick vaccination before coming. Generally, age of participants is 14-17, however exceptions are possible. NB Smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs is absolutely prohibited in the camp and this policy will be followed strictly Thus, if you cannot quit smoking for a while it is probably better not to come. Camp common language is English. Local languages are Estonian and Russian.Participation feeUnlike the normal camp there will be not too much of work here. Nevertheless, participants will be provided with board, lodging, local transportation and all equipment necessary to realize camp program. Besides, program involves a lot of extra costs for excursions, trips out, visits, sport activities, equipment, materials and general administration and leadership. Since neither EstYES nor its local camp partner, does not receive financial support for this camp from municipality or private sources, to realize this camp we have to charge participation fee of 500 Euro, which covers all camp and program costs including transfer from Tallinn to and from the camp, and which has to be paid by bank transfer before the camp or by participants upon arrival to the camp. The bank details will be provided after the acceptance of the participant to the camp. This camp is organized for teenagers by youth sport club Lukas-Basket which has been running national youth camps for 25 years and International ones for the past 12 years. International teenage camps will be hosted on seaside in the West of Estonia in Laanemaa County in the municipality of Nova. Beautiful nature, numerous historical places, 200 years long tradition of health resort, unique cultural events are the treasures of the County. Nova with warm sea, white sand, mushroom and berry crops, picturesque lakes, cobble stone road and many places of interest is ideal place for leisure. The aim of Nova camp is to give young people possibility to have active, healthy and meaningful summer vacations with different sport adventures, to enjoy unspoiled nature and to learn to live in harmony with it, also to explore and realize their own capacities and limits. The program will include water activities, sport and ball games, eco-hikes, bicycle trips to places of interest, horse riding, fishing, rowing, acquaintance with local culture and many other exciting things. Mens sana in corpore sano (Healthy Spirit in Healthy Body) i this is the message of the camp Besides all this, camp gives possibility for intensive contacts between local youth and their peers from abroad, showing youngsters the diversity of world cultures, broadening their horizons and encouraging active communication through games and creative activities. Finally, there will be some voluntary work for nature protection and to support local community. The area of the camp is about 3 hectares and it can host over 60 youngsters on one shift. The age of local participants is 10-18. Local teenagers are mainly Russian-speaking of minority communities of Estonia. This project is actively working for SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) since 2019 in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Bernice Home was found by a lady by the name of Bernice. She started this home for senior citizens who need quality home care services to seniors with limited mobility or dementia and hence social interaction. She started this home in 2000 and the second home in 2018. The founder belief “life shouldn’t end when you are old, it should be full of happy memories regardless of the age. The founder wants to keep the seniors active and engaged through physical, mental and social activities, all in the comfort of their home.The workcamp was revived in 2023 and in 2024, 8 volunteers from Japan and Hong Kong did great work!

Come to our camp if you feel that…
You are a young lover of the environment and heritage recovery. Your volunteer work will contribute to recovering rural roads to connect population centres and the restoration of the old fountain of Lozoyuela. This will mean that you can participate in activities in which you will connect with nature and local culture, as well as improving the accessibility and transitability of routes for residents and visitors of the municipality. The young participants will have the opportunity to participate in environmental awareness campaigns and restoration work on the old fountain.
Why participate in our field?
Stone Roots… will provide you with an enriching and educational experience in which you will develop a series of actions aimed at recovering and renewing the legacy of the Sierra Norte. Young people will work as a team to participate in meeting spaces based on respect and coexistence, promoting sustainable practices and respect for the environment.
During this period, you will have the opportunity to discover the northern mountains of Madrid, one of the most natural and authentic areas of the Community of Madrid.
For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a special and different vacation.

Each day of the camp will have a program completed by local coordinators and volunteers will be helping to realize it. The main activities will be intercultural learning through finding differences and similarities between Estonia and countries, where volunteers come from (history, traditions, language, singing, dancing, etc). It will be done through art, games, drama, sport, discussions. We expect active volunteers with the good knowledge of history and culture of their country and ability to present it. Volunteers would lead workshops connected with their cultural expression during 5 days of the camp, which may culminate with small performance on the last day of the project. The duration of each workshop is 2 hours. You do not have to be professional, the most important that it is enjoyable and fun Besides, each volunteer has to run one cultural night to present own country and culture to others. After placement volunteers will be contacted by organizers to get involved and guided in the preparation of the program before arrival to Estonia. Volunteer will work in partnership with professional local educators and youth workers - 25 staff members.

Tallinn youth centre Youth Club Active runs children s camp in Vihasoo for over 30 years. The aim of Vihasoo camp is to give children possibility of active and meaningful summer vacations. The base of Vihasoo lies 70km from Tallinn. The camp is located on the territory of Lahemaa National Park. The wonderful nature, proximity to the sea (about 100m), good facilities i all this makes Vihasoo camp ideal place for leisure. Such location brings children closer to nature and gives them an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Estonian national heritage richly presented in the area. Each summer period of the camp has its own theme. The purpose of this one is to discover different countries and cultures through artistic expression which could be dancing or singing, national style party, music or art of any kind i anything volunteer is good at. The idea is to have intercultural diversity to be presented to kids. We want to give children opportunity to discover differences in cultures, that they can learn it and reflect after. To achieve this aim Vihasoo camp invites international volunteers to join it as animators. Most of children are Russian-speaking from minority communities of Estonia. The area of the camp is 1,8 ha. It can host about 80 children on one shift. The age is 13-16. This camp named Our Theme is designed to introduce children to modern contemporary art trends and cultural expressions in a fun and engaging way. Over eight days, participants will explore a variety of artistic styles, including hard bass, body art, rap, beatboxing, tectonics, C-Walk, breakdance, hip hop, drums, shuffle, and more. Talented artists and experienced mentors will lead interactive workshops and masterclasses, helping children develop new skills, express creativity, and gain confidence in artistic self-expression. Together we will continue to expand the mine tour route. The aim of this project is to highlight the discharge chimney, which allowed the dumping of fill into the wagons, at the time when the mine was still exploited (from the medieval period until the 20th century). To do this, there will first be the removal of backfill at the top of the chimney which will be followed by the construction of a dry stone wall to support the vaults. Secondly, we will build a small stone staircase. There will be 4 working days per week, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This work does not require any particular skills and will be supervised by a technical supervisor.

The hamlet of the Vallauria mine is located at an altitude of 1500 metres. The site is in the middle of the mountains, crossed by the river. We are 10 km from the village of Tende 06430 (2 hours from Nice by train) and 50 km from Ventimiglia (Italy).
In addition to the weekend, one day in the middle of each week will be devoted to discovery and entertainment activities. You will discover the mountain environment, with its fauna and flora and the surrounding hikes (hiking on the archaeological site of the Vallee des Merveilles in the Mercantour National Park). You will have the opportunity to discover the historical and cultural heritage of the region, visit the surrounding villages and meet the inhabitants of the valley. You can also do sporting and thrilling activities such as canyoning, via ferrata, climbing, etc. We will organize activities and entertainment on site according to the wishes of each person in the group.

The accommodation is located on the construction site. You will be accommodated in dormitory rooms with 4 to 6 beds equipped with mattresses, pillows and bathroom facilities. Please bring your sleeping bag. You will participate in the collective and daily life of the group and the place. Food is provided in the budget, and meals will be prepared by you in turn, accompanied by the group life facilitator and in a kitchen with all the necessary equipment. You will participate in cleaning dishes and tidying up dining areas and the kitchen. Specific foods may be requested in order to cook typical dishes from each country or region. This silver lead and zinc mine justifies the mining archeology studies and the conservation and development work that we have been carrying out with the municipality of Tende for around ten years. Its medieval part represents an exceptional geological heritage, inseparable from that represented by the Mercantour park and the archaeological riches of the mythical Vallee des Merveilles, a soon to be classified UNESCO site, located a two-hour walk away.

This is the 26th year (the year after big jubilee, and 24 year short for the next big one) that this camp has been active in YRS and this long-lasting tradition speaks for itself. After 20 years, the Glossy Ibis was spotted in the Obedska pond, bird that is so important to this wetland area. It is one of the few places in Europe where you can see it and that's why the role of volunteers is so crucial in helping to maintain the area.
The work consists of taking out invasive species and bushes while cleaning up the wetland soil that enables it to be inhabited by various species. It is ecological project on a larger scale, so keep in mind that you will have to "destroy" a lot of small trees and plants in order to make space for the other ones (that are not so "agressive"). It will give the opportunity for diversity, although it might not seem like that, so for those who can't stand to look and do that, this will probably not be the right place.

Kupinovo is a village located in the municipality of Pećinci, Serbia. As of 2011 census, the village has 1,866 inhabitants. It is near the famous biodiversity area, the Obedska bara (Obedska pond or bog). Kupinovo is a place rich in cultural and historical sights. The most interesting are: Kupinik Fortress, a medieval fortification from the 14th century, the Church of Saint Luke from the half of the 15th century (the oldest Serbian church in the area), the Church of Mother Angelina from the 16th century and the ethno-complex with objects of folk architecture.
The end of village is the beginning of a huge forest, so pleasant walks can be taken daily. Also, the important river Sava is very near, so going to its banks, can also be one relaxing leisure activity. Swimming is possible, although the beach is not big and decorated.
Since the village is not full of activities and local youth is not numerous, days can be really long there (which suits to some people that seek a quiet place to have rest of fast civilization, but is terrible to the others who want constant dynamic constellation), so be aware of it. Depending on the group preferences, different activities can be organized. At least one visit to Belgrade (capital of Serbia and jewel of world culture) will take place (there are many buses during the day).
In surroundings there are few museums and aqua-parks, but the transport is not great, so some creativity and flexibility in planning is always welcome!
In every case, the project can be wonderful, but also boring, it is up to the group (it is the best and worst reviewed camp we have, depending on year and every person's point of view), so we recommend you only to bring patience and smile, because with them you will be in the first part, among those who had unforgettable adventure in remote Serbian village with friendly locals!

The volunteers will either stay in two renovated ethno-houses in Ethno Park in Kupinovo, either in the house where previous village offices were (the precise information will be in the Infosheet). In every case, it will be on beds inside.
The food will be prepared for the volunteers by local housewives, with the accent on national cuisine (a lot of meat prepared in creative ways, but vegetarian meals will be possible, of course).

VOLUNTEER WORK: Volunteers will carry out environmental and sustainable conservation volunteering while learning hands on practice in carbon-negative food production and sustainability. ACCOMMODATION & FOOD: Volunteers will stay in large style canvas tents throughout the project, 'this is an off-grid, sustainable style living and project so do pre plan and bring warm clothes and items to sleep to in.
Rock farm will provide dry goods and fresh produce for two meals per day, plus one hot meal cooked together with the rock farm staff. All Volunteers are expected to get involved in the cooking process and washing up.
IMPORTANT: – Even in the British Summertime it can be VERY COLD AT NIGHT – please ensure you bring enough warm clothes. Wet weather clothing and footwear is also strongly recommended, as the site can get muddy and even the summer can bring a rainy day. Volunteers will have access to two outdoor showers – these are outdoor showers, so you will need to bring flip-flops/sliders and a swimming costume – as these are carbon negative showers there will only be a certain amount of hot water per day – one of the tasks for the volunteers is to create the hot water system! Rock farm will provide a small furnished cabin in the camping area for use as a meeting and relaxing area. There are a four further buildings/cover for eating and cooking – including a pizza oven!
The farm operates mostly off-grid, so all toilets are composting loos and there is a limited amount of solar-power for basic charging of phones. It is strongly recommended to bring a battery-pack for your phone, and to embrace having a break from your tech!

This National Park is in the western part of the Himalayan Mountains in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh is characterized by high alpine peaks, alpine meadows and riverine forests. The 90,540 ha property includes the upper mountain glacial and snow meltwater sources of several rivers, and the catchments of water supplies that are vital to millions of down stream users. The GHNPCA protects the monsoon-affected forests and alpine meadows of the Himalayan front ranges. GHNP was awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2014, in recognition of its outstanding significance for biodiversity conservation. The park protects over 1,000 plant species, including many medicinal herbs, 31 mammal species and 209 bird species, as well as amphibians, reptiles and insects.

Collective visits to the region will be organized based on your interests: city tours, the ocean, museums, the Forest House, etc. Activities with the welcome center will also be regularly offered: pizza night, game night, etc. This will also be an opportunity to discover how an organization like Solidarites Jeunesses operates.

This project will be the first to be co-hosted with the local group "Transition Village Gokayama" from 2025, and is actively working on SDG15 (protecting the richness of the land)."Houbikiso", a former lodging facility near the World Heritage site Suganuma Gassho-style Village, has been repurposed as a place to learn and practice "living in harmony with the Gokayama climate," "living using the wisdom of the past in a Gassho-style building," and "living in which people, animals, and plants coexist and circulate." The hosts are making small changes to the place and building the community. Together with volunteers from Japan and around the world, they hope to pass on the local cultural traditions to future generations. Currently, due to the aging population, there are few people who can take care of the thatched roofs with their history (which are grown on the slopes of the mountain) or grow traditional vegetables.

This workcamp is perfect for nature lovers, as the work takes place outdoors in the Upahl-Lenzen Nature Reserve. Volunteers will maintain the area by mowing meadows and clearing the grass?all by hand, as traditional farming techniques cannot be used. The project aims to preserve the nature reserve and is carried out in cooperation with the environmental agency of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Lohmen is a peaceful village in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, surrounded by the Upahl-Lenzen Nature Reserve. With around 850 inhabitants, it offers a tranquil, community-oriented atmosphere and a variety of recreational opportunities. Visitors can explore the labyrinth, get active on sports fields, or discover the archaeological nature trail. A nearby lake also invites for swimming. Lohmen combines nature, history, and relaxation, making it ideal for those who want to enjoy rural life in a culturally rich environment.
LEISURE:
Volunteers can explore the surroundings by water or go swimming together. Excursions to other cities, such as Rostock, are also possible.

ACCOMMODATION:
Volunteers will be accommodated in a youth club located in a former kindergarten. The accommodation is simple and functional. Outside, there is a fire pit that invites everyone to gather in the evenings. The volunteers should bring sleeping bag and mattress pad with them, as the accommodation only provides mattresses but no blankets.
FOOD:
Meals will be prepared by the volunteers themselves, who will contribute their own recipes, creating a colorful mix of traditional specialties and new creations.

I campi di volontariato si svolgono nella spiaggia dell’Isola dei Conigli, zona A di Riserva Naturale e sito di deposizione della tartaruga marina Caretta caretta. I campi hanno una duplice finalità: contribuire alla tutela della spiaggia, intensamente frequentata a fini balneari, in modo da garantire le condizioni ambientali idonee all’ovodeposizione di Caretta caretta, controllando l’impatto antropico sul sito; sorvegliare e proteggere i nidi di Caretta caretta, dalla deposizione alla schiusa. Questi campi sono una grande occasione per quanti, appassionati della natura, vogliono prendersene cura svolgendo attività utili ed entusiasmanti, in uno dei luoghi più belli di Lampedusa e del Mediterraneo, meritevole di essere salvaguardato per la sua bellezza e per la sua grande importanza naturalistica.
Lavoro
Il campo prevede lo svolgimento di turni giornalieri di 6 ore circa e, all’occorrenza, turni notturni di 8–10 ore. I turni giornalieri sono finalizzati al controllo della balneazione, mediante sorveglianza ed attività di informazione e sensibilizzazione dei bagnanti, in modo da far rispettare i regolamenti vigenti nella riserva. Dalle 8 alle 20.00 i volontari si alterneranno per coprire due postazioni fisse: una all'ingresso della Riserva e una sulla spiaggia. All'ingresso, i volontari forniranno informazioni ai visitatori e forniranno supporto agli operatori nelle attività di controllo degli accessi alla spiaggia. In spiaggia, i volontari sorveglieranno gli eventuali nidi deposti, saranno punto di riferimento per quanti vogliono conoscere la biologia riproduttiva di Caretta caretta e svolgeranno attività di sensibilizzazione nei confronti dei turisti (inviteranno al rispetto delle norme comportamentali da osservare, effettueranno la pulizia dell’arenile, ecc.). I volontari, inoltre, collaboreranno nelle attività di rilevamento dei dati sulla fruizione e saranno di sostegno agli operatori della riserva per il rilevamento dei dati sui nidi di tartaruga e sui piccoli. I turni notturni si svolgeranno presso la struttura ubicata all'ingresso della riserva e sono finalizzati ad impedire l’accesso in spiaggia di eventuali visitatori durante la notte, che potrebbero pregiudicare gli eventi di nidificazione della tartaruga. Durante le schiuse dei nidi i turni notturni si svolgeranno in spiaggia. I volontari parteciperanno anche alle attività di salvaguardia e sorveglianza (diurna e notturna) di eventuali nidi deposti in altre spiagge dell’isola che rientrano nelle competenze dell'Ente Gestore della Riserva. I volontari, a turno, si occuperanno anche della preparazione dei pasti e della pulizia dell’alloggio.

Molto più vicina all’Africa che alla Sicilia, Lampedusa appartiene all’Arcipelago delle Pelagie. Nel 1996 la Regione Siciliana ha istituito la Riserva Naturale “Isola di Lampedusa”, gestita da Legambiente Sicilia. L’area protetta si estende per circa 360 ettari lungo un’ampia fascia incontaminata della costa meridionale dell’isola ed è finalizzata alla conservazione delle espressioni più significative della fauna e della flora presenti sul territorio. La spiaggia dei Conigli è stata per anni oggetto di ogni forma di abuso e degrado, ma grazie agli interventi di recupero ambientale, controllo e sensibilizzazione dell’Ente Gestore oggi è un modello di gestione e promozione di un turismo sostenibile, che ha saputo coniugare conservazione della natura con la fruizione del territorio.

Attività formative
All’inizio di ogni campo i volontari parteciperanno ad un incontro formativo presso la sede della Riserva (tenuto dal personale della Riserva), durante il quale verranno fornite le principali informazioni sull’area protetta (storia, caratteristiche, regolamento, ecc.), sulla biologia della tartaruga marina e sulle attività che si svolgeranno durante il campo.

I volontari saranno ospitati in un appartamento ubicato in centro.
Requisiti e materiali
Il campo è particolarmente impegnativo, poiché prevede una turnazione continua per garantire il controllo del sito h24. Buona attitudine a camminare; buone condizioni fisiche, capacità di svolgere le attività anche con particolari condizioni climatiche (essere in grado di trascorrere diverse ore sotto il sole, ma anche in presenza di vento, umidità, pioggia, zanzare…).

Il Circolo Legambiente Esther Ada nasce a Lampedusa nel 2011 ed è principalmente coinvolto nell'organizzazione delle campagne nazionali di Legambiente e nella realizzazione di progetti relativi a problematiche di carattere ambientale e sociale. The volunteer camp will combine circus activities in the natural environment.
We will develop workshops related to the circus world:
• Initiation workshops to circus disciplines.
• There will be workshops and group dynamics to learn and develop the different techniques that belong to the world of the New Circus: juggling, balancing, acrobatics, dance, body expression, stilts, aerial techniques, etc.
