In the run-up to the festival, volunteers work with the entire festival team (technicians, stage managers, entertainers, organizers, cooks, etc.) to carry out tasks such as:
- preparing meals for the entire festival team,
- set-up and tear-down (physical),
- loading and unloading equipment (physical),
- setting up sets, stage management,
- setting up the associative village,
- helping to set up waste management and dry toilets, etc.
During the festival, volunteers are integrated into the various Belgian volunteer teams (ticketing, catering, marquee entrances, hat passing, etc.).
After the festival, volunteers will also help the teams with dismantling and closing logistics.

Volunteers will sleep in caravans on the site of the festival. Volunteers will use dry toilet and a shower placed in the park. If possible, please bring your sleeping bag and a camping mattress.
Sanitary facilities and showers are of course available.
Meals will be taken with the diverse teams of the festival and will be prepared by the volunteers together with the kitchen team of the festival. Lunch will consist of sandwiches and a warm meal will be prepared for dinner.

Festival Théâtres Nomades, is an event dedicated to the street arts and theatre, it will take place from 14 to 17 August 2025 in the Bois de la Cambre in Brussels.
Organised by the Compagnie des Nouveaux Disparus, the festival has been constantly reinventing itself since its inception in 2007, while retaining its own unique identity. Its nomadic nature, committed programming and accessibility are at the heart of its DNA and its success.
The festival aims to be eclectic and open to the world, so as to generate surprise and curiosity. Each year it brings together over 35 companies from a wide range of artistic fields: street arts, theatre, circus, storytelling, dance, puppetry and more. Forte de son histoire, la forteresse accueille des bénévoles internationaux·ales depuis les années 1980 afin de l'entretenir, de la valoriser et d'animer la vie locale durant l'été. Cette année, ce sont 5 chantiers internationaux qui y sont organisés sur la période estivale. Tu participeras à la quatrième session de l'année.
Viens participer à la sauvegarde et à la valorisation de ce patrimoine d'exception ! Autour du château, tu réaliseras plusieurs travaux de restauration. Accompagné·e par un·e encadrant·e technique, tu participeras à l’entretien des maçonneries en découvrant les techniques traditionnelles : dejointoiement et rejointoiement des murs, fabrication de mortier à base de chaux et de sable, maniement des outils. Tu participeras aussi à l’entretien des boiseries : barrières de sécurité, construction en palettes pour les espaces de détente. Tu participeras également aux actions environnementales de la forteresse : débroussaillage, taille des arbustes, entretien du potager, rénovation des cabines de toilettes sèches. Protéger une telle bâtisse necéssite du temps et beaucoup d'énergie ; viens apporter ta pierre a l'édifice !
With its rich history, international volunteers have been welcomed at the castle since the 1980s to help maintain and promote it, and enliven local life during the summer. This year, 5 international workcamps are organized at the fortress over the summer. You will participate in the fourth session of the year.
Come and join the preservation and enhancement efforts of this exceptional heritage! Around the castle, you will carry out several restoration tasks. Guided by a technical supervisor, you will help maintain the masonry by learning traditional techniques: removing and re-pointing the walls, making lime and sand mortar, and handling the tools. You will also assist with maintaining the woodwork: safety barriers and building with pallets for relaxation areas. Finally, you will take part in maintining the fortress's environment: clearing brush, pruning shrubs, maintaining the vegetable garden, and renovating the dry toilet cabins. Protecting such a building takes time and energy; come contribute to the effort!

L'hébergement se fait sous tente, à 10/15 min à pieds de la forteresse et à 5 min à pieds du centre de la commune. Tout est organisé sur place dans le respect de l'environnement (tri des déchets et compost) avec l'objectif d'avoir un mode de vie plus écologique.
Au-delà des temps de chantier, les volontaires participent ensemble à l’organisation de la vie collective. Souvent réparti·e·s en équipes, ils·elles élaborent les menus, participent aux courses, préparent les repas et s’assurent de la propreté des espaces communs.
Véritable acteur·ice de ton expérience, tu participeras aussi à la prise de décisions concernant les activités collectives et l’organisation du quotidien !
Accommodation is in tents, 10-15 minutes on foot from the fortress and 5 minutes on foot from the centre of the village. Everything is organised on-site with respect for the environment (waste sorting and composting) with the goal of promoting a more ecofriendly lifestyle.
Beyond the working hours, volunteers come together to organise daily life on the camp. Often divided into teams, they plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces.
Fully involved in shaping your experience, you will also take part in decision-making regarding group activities and daily organization!

Au cœur d'un charmant petit village bourbonnais, le château de Montaigu-le-Blin est une imposante forteresse médiévale du XIIème, classée Monument Historique. Située sur une petite colline, cette forteresse offre un espace bucolique et intime, proche de la nature avec une belle vue sur les paysages alentours.
Depuis les années 80, des bénévoles participent chaque année à la sauvegarde, la rénovation et à l'animation touristique du château, alors pourquoi pas toi ?
Ces dernières années, la forteresse s'est refaite une beauté ! Les bénévoles ont continué à faire des travaux de maçonnerie traditionelle sur les murs du château et ont développé le potager médiéval au pied de la tour du Seigneur. A vous de prendre le flambeau !
Inside a lovely little French village, the castle of Montaigu le Blin is an impressive medieval fortress, classified as Historical Monument. It is located on the top of a hill, overlooking the countryside. Since 2002, volunteers have been participating, every summer, to the restoration of the castle. These last years, the fortress has regained its beauty! Since the 80s, volunteers come every year to restore and protect the castle. These last couple of years, volunteers restored the castle walls using traditional masonry techniques and developped the medieval vegetable garden at the bottom of the Lord's tower. This year, it's your turn to live an experience back in time!

Nature conservation and forest management in a great environment as well as relaxation on the Baltic Sea beach!
You can experience both at this camp in the north of Germany. You will work alongside volunteers from all over the world in the forests and nature reserves surrounding the youth forest centre where you will be staying.
Your tasks will include clearing young forest stands, cutting back invasive late-flowering bird cherry, building and erecting wooden fences to protect young trees from game browsing, building raised hides, clearing paths and dismantling old wire fences in the forest. Some of the work can be very strenuous and monotonous. (Note: The actual work to be carried out may differ from that described here).
During the work you will also learn a lot about the protection of the forest and rare habitats in theory and practice. You will also learn how nature and landscape conservation areas can be carefully developed for tourism so that people can make better and more informative use of the beautiful natural environment.
In the first week you will work from Monday to Friday and in the second week from Monday to Thursday.

The Hartenholm youth forest centre is located in the middle of the forest and has beautiful surroundings. The outdoor area includes high seats for game watching, a football pitch, a volleyball court, a barbecue area and a charcoal burner's hut. There is also a table tennis table and table football. At the weekend, trips to one of the wonderful Baltic Sea beaches such as Travemunde or Timmendorfer Strand and to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg are well worthwhile.

You will stay in 4- to 6-bed rooms in a youth forest centre. Your accommodation is located in the heart of the forest and is surrounded by a large outdoor area. You will have toilets, communal showers, a large dining room, a kitchen, a barbecue hut, a leisure room with sofas and table football and a large outdoor area at your disposal.
You will cook together. Money for food will be provided. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please state any intolerances during registration.

The Jugendwaldheim Hartenholm des Landesforsten Schleswig-Holstein (Forest Youth Hostel of Hartenholm of the Schleswig-Holstein State Forests) offers a one or two-week nature and adventure education programme (with overnight stay) for school classes from year 7. In the mornings, the pupils work together with pedagogically trained foresters in the forest and learn how the sustainable management of forests brings ecological, economic and social benefits for the environment and people. In the afternoons, survival courses, team workshops and exciting educational tours through the forest are offered.
The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. Since 2001, this project has been actively working on SDG15 (Protect the richness of land) in collaboration with a local volunteer group "Morito" on Sado Island. The group manages a forest called "Furusato no Mori Park" in Ogi Town, where local people can enjoy the forest in all seasons. The members of this group are all elderly, so they hope that young people and foreign volunteers will empower the area mentally and physically. Volunteers take care of about 5.7 hectares of fields every year (mowing the grass)! Volunteers also parade around the area playing Japanese drums at local festivals. This is also a good encouragement for the area that various people are supporting this place.

Each day of the camp will have a program completed by local coordinators and the volunteers will be helping to realize it. The main activities will be intercultural learning through finding differences and similarities between Estonia and countries, where volunteers come from (history, traditions, language, singing, dancing). It will be done through games, drama, sport, discussions. We expect that volunteers would lead a workshop connected with their culture (traditional dances, games, everyday life, food specialities, etc.) It can be educational one or as a game to play. Therefore we look for active volunteers with good knowledge of history and culture of their country and ability to present it. Special requirementsYou have to love kids and be really motivated to work with them. The work demands 24-hours commitment and it can be pretty hard sometimes. Taevaskoja Youth Camp is adventurous hiking camp that has been active for over 30 years. The aim of Taevaskoja camp is to support children s development through non-formal education. During the youth camp kids participate in different workshops about health, safety, culture and enjoy climbing and hiking activities. Taevaskoja is located in South-Estonia, about 220 km from Tallinn. The camp site is very close to the one of the most popular natural touristic place - Suur Taevaskoda (The Large Heaven s Hall), surrounded by beautiful forest and close to the one of the longest rivers in Estonia. Such location brings children closer to unspoiled nature and gives them an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Estonian national heritage richly presented in the area. The camp aims also to develop children s knowledges about different cultures and support the growth of tolerance. The aim of this workcamp is to join MASNATUR in the summer camps, this association works to promote, through entertainment activities, the integral development of people with disabilities (especially children and young people) and to provide respite time for their families. The absence of autonomy, associated with disability, means an overload of work for family members. These families are faced with a time to rest or to devote to their other children.
Another element of inclusion provided by MASNATUR is the possibility of sharing these activities with other people and being enriched by the group. Many people with disabilities, especially children and young people, did not enjoy leisure outside their family or school environment.

Participants will spend a night in Yeosu with all participants, exploring the city before heading to Geomun Island. Geomun Island is a beautiful island located about 1 hour and 30 minutes by high-speed ferry from Yeosu, which is known for having one of the most picturesque harbors in South Korea. While it may seem like a remote island from the mainland, from the perspective of the sea, it holds a strategic position as a gateway to Korea. Because of this, Geomun Island has historical significance—most notably, it was occupied by British forces from 1885 to 1887.
Despite being separated from the mainland, the island has developed its own unique culture over time. Today, it is home to about 300 residents who enjoy a peaceful and happy life. Volunteers come to this island to contribute to the well-being of the community and help enhance the happiness of its residents even further.

I campi di volontariato si svolgono nella spiaggia dell’Isola dei Conigli, zona A di Riserva Naturale e sito di deposizione della tartaruga marina Caretta caretta. I campi hanno una duplice finalità: contribuire alla tutela della spiaggia, intensamente frequentata a fini balneari, in modo da garantire le condizioni ambientali idonee all’ovodeposizione di Caretta caretta, controllando l’impatto antropico sul sito; sorvegliare e proteggere i nidi di Caretta caretta, dalla deposizione alla schiusa. Questi campi sono una grande occasione per quanti, appassionati della natura, vogliono prendersene cura svolgendo attività utili ed entusiasmanti, in uno dei luoghi più belli di Lampedusa e del Mediterraneo, meritevole di essere salvaguardato per la sua bellezza e per la sua grande importanza naturalistica.

Il campo prevede lo svolgimento di turni giornalieri di 6 ore circa e, all’occorrenza, turni notturni di 8–10 ore. I turni giornalieri sono finalizzati al controllo della balneazione, mediante sorveglianza ed attività di informazione e sensibilizzazione dei bagnanti, in modo da far rispettare i regolamenti vigenti nella riserva. Dalle 8 alle 20.00 i volontari si alterneranno per coprire due postazioni fisse: una all'ingresso della Riserva e una sulla spiaggia. All'ingresso, i volontari forniranno informazioni ai visitatori e forniranno supporto agli operatori nelle attività di controllo degli accessi alla spiaggia. In spiaggia, i volontari sorveglieranno gli eventuali nidi deposti, saranno punto di riferimento per quanti vogliono conoscere la biologia riproduttiva di Caretta caretta e svolgeranno attività di sensibilizzazione nei confronti dei turisti (inviteranno al rispetto delle norme comportamentali da osservare, effettueranno la pulizia dell’arenile, ecc.). I volontari, inoltre, collaboreranno nelle attività di rilevamento dei dati sulla fruizione e saranno di sostegno agli operatori della riserva per il rilevamento dei dati sui nidi di tartaruga e sui piccoli. I turni notturni si svolgeranno presso la struttura ubicata all'ingresso della riserva e sono finalizzati ad impedire l’accesso in spiaggia di eventuali visitatori durante la notte, che potrebbero pregiudicare gli eventi di nidificazione della tartaruga. Durante le schiuse dei nidi i turni notturni si svolgeranno in spiaggia. I volontari parteciperanno anche alle attività di salvaguardia e sorveglianza (diurna e notturna) di eventuali nidi deposti in altre spiagge dell’isola che rientrano nelle competenze dell'Ente Gestore della Riserva. I volontari, a turno, si occuperanno anche della preparazione dei pasti e della pulizia dell’alloggio.

Molto più vicina all’Africa che alla Sicilia, Lampedusa appartiene all’Arcipelago delle Pelagie. Nel 1996 la Regione Siciliana ha istituito la Riserva Naturale “Isola di Lampedusa”, gestita da Legambiente Sicilia. L’area protetta si estende per circa 360 ettari lungo un’ampia fascia incontaminata della costa meridionale dell’isola ed è finalizzata alla conservazione delle espressioni più significative della fauna e della flora presenti sul territorio. La spiaggia dei Conigli è stata per anni oggetto di ogni forma di abuso e degrado, ma grazie agli interventi di recupero ambientale, controllo e sensibilizzazione dell’Ente Gestore oggi è un modello di gestione e promozione di un turismo sostenibile, che ha saputo coniugare conservazione della natura con la fruizione del territorio.

Attività formative
All’inizio di ogni campo i volontari parteciperanno ad un incontro formativo presso la sede della Riserva (tenuto dal personale della Riserva), durante il quale verranno fornite le principali informazioni sull’area protetta (storia, caratteristiche, regolamento, ecc.), sulla biologia della tartaruga marina e sulle attività che si svolgeranno durante il campo.

Since the school is regarded as place where many important activities are happening, it is also notable that many local organizations have strong connection with it. The same will be in this case, as well. The project can be defined only by 3 areas on this platform, so we can't describe everything that will happen there, but here we can write more on that.
Volunteers will do many tasks in cooperation with many associations in Požega. With those of social character, it will be decided which families are in need for additional support, so that volunteers can help to those in danger with their regular activities. Then there will be some visit to the local association of those with cerebral paralysis (help and workshops should be done there). Also, volunteers will be participating in the activities with local Gerontological center, where they might take care of the garden, but also meet older people that will be glad to participate in some workshops with guests.
Still, we shouldn't forget that there will be things to do in school's yard, as well, with picking up the raspberries (one of the Serbian national fruits) and blackberries (another among many; Serbia is simply the land of fruits). Planting seeds, taking out the bad plants, feeding the animals-just few of planned actions that will be done during the stay in this marvellous place.
As volunteers are minors, work will be naturally adjusted to everyone.

Požega is a cute place in rich with nature territory of Western Serbia, with nice center where volunteers can feel the real town atmosphere (it is very alive, especially during the summer). Still, the school itself is located a little bit outside of it, surrounded by parks and fields, so the volunteers can have some free time to relax. School has sports terrains for recreation. The town has swimming pool, so maybe some hot days can be spent there.
Since the participants are minors, their free-time will be very well-organized. Musical nights, hiking, excursions in the area, visit to the cinemas and theater plays (that can be internationally understood of course), intercultural nights, many workshops, language courses, but precise informationS on that will be provided in the Infosheet.
The only thing we will recommend to take with you on this adventure is patience and smile and it will be an eternal pleasant memory!

Food will be prepared together in the kitchen of the dormitory. The workshops on making Serbian traditional meals will be organized several times.

AccommodationThere are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the beginning of the camp):1) In the premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the camp participants accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Apart from bedrooms, the tea-room for rest will be also organized where teenagers might watch films, read and play board games enjoying soft sofas. Bed linen, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, minimum one school staff member and one volunteer will be staying with camp participants overnights to maintain life, catering and general order on the site. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that you must be inside by 22:00 the latest unless supervised outside by a school staff member. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. The Park Rangers of the National Park Hunsrück-Hochwald are waiting for your support to preserve the fauna and flora in this unique natural environment and to provide endangered species with their original habitats again. At the same time it is a great opportunity for you to learn a lot about this ecosystem, the rangers will show and explain a lot. Three main tasks are waiting for you:
1. Care of the nutrient-poor grassland and arnica meadows (mowing works, work to stop spreading of shrubs etc.). With this work you can protect a valuable habitat with a very high biodiversity. This is especially the case for insects such as bees and butterflies and flowering plants such as orchids.
2. You will work on the wildlife park of Wildenburg Castle. Here you can find wolves, deer, wild boars, wildcats, mouflons and many other animals. Your task will mainly be to renew wooden fences and to build elements where the animals can hide behind. You will also construct wooden barriers to protect small trees from damage through the animals.
3. Let’s give water its natural space back! Within the National Park there are many places where the natural flow of water was changed (through cutting the curves of the streams or drainage channels etc.). In many cases this alteration is negatively impacting the biodiversity of these creeks. You will therefore help to restore the natural flow of the water by closing the channels and revitalizing natural flow elements.
Other environmental protections tasks can be added. Attention: The work might be physically hard and you will get wet and muddy for sure! Please bring hiking boots and working clothes.

The workcamp will take places in the western part of Rhineland-Palatinate. You will stay in Deuselbach, a small village with 260 inhabitants. The local villagers are very much interested to welcome you, many parties and events will happen. Deuselbach has a pub but no shops. The next bigger village (Thalfang) is 4km far, here you can find everything you need (shops, swimming pool…). There are also many tourists in the area as it is well known for hiking all over the year and for skiing in winter. The next bigger city it Trier (40 km), the oldest Germany city with many Roman sights, a huge cathedral and plenty of this to do (vineyard, shopping, clubs…). You will do several excursions with the support of the Park Rangers, e.g. to Trier, the oldest German city with many famous sights.

You will stay in the community centre of Deuselbach. The accommodation is spacious, has a huge kitchen including a dish-washer and a living room, toilets and showers. There is one big sleeping room with camping beds. Wifi and even a washing machine are available. Please bring your sleeping bag.
Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

The National Park Hunsrück-Hochwald is the newest German National Park to protect the nature. The park was just founded in 2015. The landscape is dominated by huge forests, steep hills, small brooks and ponds, rocks and marshes. Only small hamlets interrupt the nature, a perfect region for plenty of different species but also for hiking. You will support the National Park Rangers in their work to preserve the habitat of endangered species and to protect ecologically valuable ecosystems. This workcamp will continue the mission of several Workcamps in the past years.

In this project, volunteers will paint and organize the village's theater building and library together with local volunteers. They will also repair the parts of the village that need repair. Bademler Village is close to Azmak Bay. A traditional sea festival is organized by the villagers in this bay every year. Water games, concerts, group activities are held in the festival. Volunteers will help organize this festival.
Stage setup, sound systems, creation of appropriate areas for group activities, environmental decorations, transportation and other preparations require the support of volunteers.
In case of additional needs of the village, support can be requested from volunteers. Every contribution to the village is very important to us. You may also be interested in making tarhana together with the villagers!

Bademler Village is known as the most modern village in Turkey and is visited by tourists. The village has a theater building and a library, which attracts a lot of attention. This village is located in Izmir, the third largest city in Turkey. There are many historical and natural beauties around it. There are many different beaches and bays on the seashore. It is a perfect location for sea activities and cultural visits.

Bademler village has cute and modern village houses. Every year, the villagers host our volunteers in their own houses. Each family hosts 1, 2 or 3 volunteers and these houses are very close to each other. The volunteers prepare their breakfasts, lunches and dinners together with their host families.

Bademler Village is a special village for us because we have been working in this village for 12 years. The villagers wait for international volunteers every year. There are memories of IVS volunteers all over the village.

Volunteers are the key person to make the students, teachers and Local
community speak using English in daily life.
They learn English in the class but only in reading and writing (grammarly) but
very lacking in speaking with Each other due to the culture barrier. When there are
international volunteers, the environment in the school and community force to
use English and they also couple exchange with volunteers.
Workplaces
There will be 2 schools which are Ban Krogluek School and Ban Maab Grad School.
The local host may schedule Monday-Wednesday work in one school and Thursday
and Friday work in another school.
You will meet different classes each day. So the activities you prepare can be used
similarly in both school and each class

Intercultural and Language (ICL) – Nakhon Ratchasima, learning and sharing the
intercultural and language still are the main purpose. Volunteers will share and exchange
culture, language, and knowledge with the local community and students in the school.
English as the global language and intercultural learning are important for local Thai people
to understand and be for global citizens. English is also the gateway to open mind and
knowledge. The project was created by VSA Thailand and has been successful for eight
years. Former volunteers came to give the opportunity for children in schools and the local
community. Many local people improved their English skills through exchanging with
international volunteers, or at least they try to speak the English language more and dare
to face and work with the foreigner even though they cannot speak English. Moreover,
volunteers’ activities impacted the local community. They used to stay lively and trusty
with the foreigner. Local people have a chance to learn, accept, and adopt the ways of life
with the different cultures.
Ban Krogluek School is a primary school, there are about 10 teachers and 100 students from
kindergarten (2-6 years old), pratomsuksa 1-6 (7-12 years old). VSA has sent volunteers
to this School since 2015.
Ban Maab Grad School is a primary school, there are about 9 teachers, 1 janitor and 60
students from kindergarten (2-6 years old), pratomsuksa 1-6 (7-12 years old). VSA has
sent volunteers to this School since 2022.
