Workshops: Our residents engage in meaningful daily work through two key workshops: gardening and crafting. Gardening: You’ll help maintain our garden in Peterculter, contribute to local garden upkeep, and tend to our kitchen gardens at Craigievar. This work connects residents to nature and fosters a sense of purpose through the process of nurturing food from seed to table.
Crafting: Located just a five-minute walk from our main house, the craft workshop is a hub of creativity, offering materials and opportunities to explore knitting, felting, painting, and more. You’ll support residents while developing your own creative skills.
Life in the Home: Our residents range in age from 18 to 60, each with unique support needs. You will: Provide assistance in line with individual support plans. Help residents maintain daily routines, including providing direct personal care and engaging in household chores.
Leisure Activities: We believe in leading full and joyful lives. You’ll support residents in enjoying activities such as: building skills in homemaking, cooking, and baking. Outings to cafes, restaurants, and shops. Day trips, holidays, or social events. Exercise activities like swimming, walking, cycling, or gym visits. Connecting and building relationships through shared experiences.
Festivals and Celebrations: Festivals, holidays, and birthdays are central to life at Tigh a’Chomainn, helping us connect with the rhythm of the year. As a Foundation Year Co-worker, you’ll play an active role in preparing for and celebrating these occasions, discovering new traditions and creating memorable experiences.

You can utilise the local medical centre, gym, cafes, bars, and restaurants. A convenient bus links to Aberdeen City Centre and is free for those under 22. We boast a beach with a dolphin gazing cafe, golf course, surfing and a small amusement park. Aberdeen offers an array of free attractions like museums, shows, botanical parks and galleries. The city also offers opportunities for vibrant nightlife, with a variety of cultural and social events to explore.

Accommodation is on-site or a short walk away, depending on availability. It will be a private room equipped with a bed, storage, and Wi-Fi with access to a shared bathroom. There is access to laundry facilities.
All meals are provided, with access to larders and kitchens for personal meal preparation. You will be expected to eat at communally. There is access to our bike shed and opportunities to join community trips, outings and holidays.
POCKET MONEY AND ALLOWANCES: A monthly subsistence allowance of £200 is provided for personal expenses. All essential items, including meals, accommodation, and personal care items are available.
HOLIDAYS: Volunteers completing a 12-month placement will be entitled to 4 weeks of holiday leave.
For placements shorter than 12 months, holidays will be allocated on the basis of 1 week of leave for every 3 months of work.

All applicants must send on application a completed VEF and then will receive a Camphill application form.
Zoom Interviews: will be arranged individually.
After the Zoom interview, if confirmed on the project, applicants should send a certificate of good conduct police check from your home country and the names and contact details of 2 referees.
UK VISA COSTS: All Foundation Year Co-workers will need to apply for a Temporary Work – Charity Worker which offers a stay of up to 12 months. The application fee for this VISA is £298. To apply for the Charity Workers VISA, you will need a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) which will be provided by Concordia at the cost of £25.
For the long-term placement of a year, you will have to pay an Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) which will cost £1035 this allows you to access the National Healthcare Service during your stay in the UK. You will be supported to sign up with a general practitioner (GP) upon your arrival to Tigh a’Chomainn.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with Phoudindaeng Youth Center (PYC) since 2009. PYC's main projects are running a school bus, teaching English in extracurricular classes, supporting the construction of a community center and establishing a library. Considering the increasing demands of villagers, PYC was officially established in 2007 which has played important roles for personal growth, life-long education and formation of leadership skills.
In 2024, 2 workcamps were successfully organized with 8 vols. from Japan, Hong Kong and Myanmar in addition to some local vols. It had been open only to Asian, but from this year, it is open to all over the world!

The work will be consisted of 3 parts. First one concerns painting of 10 informative signs with protective material. After that, they will be put onto planned locations. Second task will be preparing wooden baskets for trash (the volunteers will assemble the parts first) and placing them at specific positions, so the visitors can throw the trash in the right spot. Third one will be two big actions of cleaning the lake area, so everybody can enjoy in beautiful nature.

Lake Gruza (Gruža; pronounced: Gruzha) is located in the central region of Serbia, in the municipality Knić, not far from Kragujevac, regional center, that uses the water from it for drinking. It is surrounded by beautiful nature (even intact in many places), so the guests like to come here often (especially on weekends)! The water is rich in fish, especially carp and pikeperch. Also, this zone is a home for many rare and protected birds (IBA area).
The camp will take place on the edge of the lake, practically, in the center that is suitable for lectures, but also outdoor activities. In the center, there is permanent exhibition "Life in water", that is about different water organisms that live in Serbia and Yugoslavia/Balkan area.
Educative workshops will be organized, as well as some excursions, but more details on that will be written in the Infosheet.
In every case, bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures is really important to the host!

The volunteers will be accommodated in the Eco-informative center "Jezero Gruža (Lake Gruza)". There will be 2 possibilities, to sleep in the tents in front of it and inside the center on mattresses. In both cases, everything will be provided (tents and sleeping bags in first case and bed-linens in the second). Still, if you bring your own, we will not make any problems. Haha.
Food will be provided from local farmers and volunteers will have the opportunity to make some meals for the others. Still, there will be no pressure about it.

There are no specific requirements, but if you want to make your Life easier, bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer.

Ekomar is an association whose goal is promotion and ecological marketing of natural resources. It is founded in 2015. and from that moment they work diligently on spreading the ideas of good ecological practices. Their focus is mainly on the work with youngsters through different projects and programmes. Important outcome of the efforts in last years is the informative Eco-center on the lake Gruža, whose aim is to educate people about the importance of water eco-systems. Every year thousands of kids visit the center, where they can learn a lot about different ecological topics. The team has biologists, ecologists and pedagogists.
Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. The volunteers will get many opportunities for intercultural encounters in this camp related to nature and youth in the countryside. Volunteers should be prepared to present their own country and its culture to local children and youth during visits to local school and youth houses, or when organising international events for the young people. Ylane is a small village surrounded by lakes and forests in Western Finland, about 190 km from Helsinki. The nearest city is Turku, which is a beautiful old city with a medieval center. During their free time the volunteers can participate in various activities such as sauna, swimming, canoeing, berry picking and fishing. There are several national parks in the area providing excellent possibilities for hiking.

This summer, we will launch a project to enhance the outdoor area of the kindergarten in Großenmarpe, a small village close to Blomberg. One of the key features of this project will be the transformation of a construction trailer into a cozy café. With your help, we will create a meeting place for children, parents, and the entire village community. Volunteers will work together with the parents of the children and with professional workers. You will work with woodworking tools and get creative with paint.
The Großenmarpe Kindergarten and Family Centre is a facility for children aged 1 to 6 years. Our goal is to create a welcoming and engaging environment where families can come together, enjoy refreshments, and foster a sense of community.
We invite volunteers and participants to join us in this meaningful project, where we will not only beautify the outdoor space but also create a place for social interaction and connection. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of the children and families in Großenmarpe!
Besides this manual work, volunteers will interact with the kids. Be ready to bring some games you play in your country.

For your free time, we have planned a vibrant program like in previous camps, with excursions to interesting places in the region. Volunteers will participate in a workshop about rhythm in music with Hakim Ludin. He was born and raised in Afghanistan, has lived in Germany for many years, and has developed into a musician with an international reputation. A small group of young, underage refugees live near the accommodation. They will be happy to meet international volunteers. In the past, these interactions have always been very enriching! We are looking forward to many applicants and an exciting time ahead.

Since 2009, we have successfully organized workcamps in Blomberg in cooperation with the town hall. The result has been numerous wonderful projects that have enriched our community. One of the highlights from two years ago was the successful implementation of a nature project at a local kindergarten. With the help of professional support and, of course, the enthusiastic workcamp participants, the children now have a beautiful “experience garden” where they can learn and play in nature.

The countless species of plants and animals, as well as different habitats, are unique on our planet; in Germany alone there are around 70,000 different animals, plants and microorganisms. This biodiversity forms the basis of all life, but nature is increasingly under threat. This camp is about the protection of meadow birds, some of which are threatened with extinction. You will work thematically, practically and creatively with experienced staff from various biological stations to protect them. We start in Zwillbrock, right on the Dutch border. You will be there for the first week, working and learning a lot about their work at the Biological Station and about the protection of meadow birds. On the first day, you will help in a protected area and remove shrubs and birch so that the area is free for meadow birds again. You will cycle the 4 km to the reserve. Day 2 offers a circular walk and you get to know different birds and learn to identify them. Afterwards, the two days serve as a practical and creative day for a sustainable meadow bird conservation project. After the week, you move on to the next project area. After you have settled into your new accommodation and explored the surrounding area on Sunday, the project continues on Monday with the other organic stations. Here, too, everything revolves around the protection of meadow birds. In the second project, your work is primarily practical. You will help to optimize the breeding sites of endangered meadow birds, which are mainly located near bodies of water. So you'll head off into shallow water and onto small gravel islands in your rubber boots to pull out willow seedlings and create gathering and resting places for animals. In the second project, you will also learn a lot about the work of the Bio Stations and this conservation project from their employees.

This workcamp offers you the opportunity to get to know two different regions. In the first week, you will be right on the Dutch border. Here you live in a very rural area, the nearest town is 10 km away. However, you will be provided with bicycles, which will take you on a discovery tour of the Netherlands in the direction of Winterwiek on Wednesday of the first week. You get to know a typical Dutch community with a weekly market and Kramermarkt and head to the Meddosee beach club. In the beautiful half-timbered town of Rheda-Wiedenbrück, you are accommodated in the center of Wiedenbrück with stores, cafes and bars. The outdoor pool is nearby, and you can barbecue, chill out, play table tennis or go on excursions to the university towns of Münster, Bielefeld or Paderborn.

In this camp you are in two different places! Also important for your arrival and departure. The first week you will be accommodated in the brand new guest house of Biologische Zwillbrock e.V.. There are shared rooms, plenty of bathrooms and a self-catering kitchen with a dining area. There is also a terrace and the opportunity to barbecue. On Saturday, you will then move to the beautiful half-timbered town of Rheda-Wiedenbrück. There you will be accommodated in the guest house of the Wiedenbrück monastery. In shared rooms and with your own kitchen and sufficient sanitary facilities, you can also sit in the courtyard. You are right in the center of Wiedenbrück.
You must bring slippers! We charge all participants a deposit of 20,-€ for the accommodation, which we collect on site and which you get back when the accommodation is handed over properly.
You cook together. You will be provided with money for shopping. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please indicate any intolerances when registering.

Would you like to spend your free time with others at a camp by a lake, far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city? You want to get out, do something practical and get actively involved? Then this work camp near Spremberg might be just the right thing for you.
To beautify the camp at Felixsee, you can help with the planting and maintenance of borders and renew the barefoot path.
The café in our multi-generation centre in Spremberg is in need of renovation. We would also like to redesign the outdoor area and rebuild a seating area.

Camp location: Spremberg, Brandenburg; 120 km South-East from Berlin. You can swim in Lake Felix, play beach volleyball, beach soccer and table tennis. A barbecue area is also available. In the town of Spremberg itself there are other leisure facilities, e.g. an adventure pool, cinema and a skate park. The unique Spreewald in the region is a paradise for boat and canoe tours. You also have the opportunity to experience the traditional local festival in Spremberg. During the camp there are numerous opportunities to get to know the region and its people.

You will be sleeping in shared bedrooms in brand new bungalows. Camp area is in the middle of a beautiful forest and surrounded by a fence. The camp has a central house for
sanitation with toilets and showers as well as a community area.
You will cook and go food shopping for yourself. Money for grocery shopping will be provided. Please state any intolerances during registration.

We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. Dal 2017 Legambiente e Diversamente Marinai sono impegnati nella campagna “Vele Spiegate”. In questo contesto Diversamente Marinai propone campi di volontariato in barca a vela di una settimana nell'Arcipelago Toscano. Il progetto prevede la pulizia delle spiagge poco accessibili via terra, il monitoraggio dei rifiuti, il monitoraggio e il controllo delle tracce delle tartarughe marine Caretta Caretta, inoltre andremo alla scoperta dei sentieri che incontreremo nelle insenature dove ci fermeremo e mapperemo quelli che non sono presenti sulle carte. Il progetto mira alla conoscenza del mare attraverso la navigazione e alla creazione di team affiatati e motivati. Per questo i partecipanti impareranno la marineria antica e a farsi equipaggio a bordo di un ketch a vela del 1922. Inoltre, saranno formati sulle principali linee guida in termini di sostenibilità ambientale della fruizione del mare. Non ci può essere vera salvaguardia dell’ambiente senza saper apprezzare il paesaggio naturale. Il campo di lavoro vuole realizzare interventi concreti per migliorare la qualità ambientale mostrando all'equipaggio come vivere sul mare e con il mare sia un’esperienza indimenticabile. Le attività del campo sono arricchite dalla pratica quotidiana della riduzione degli sprechi che la vita di bordo comporta e dalla possibilità di spostarsi utilizzando prevalentemente il vento. Vele Spiegate è un progetto inserito nella Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenibile del Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscano per il periodo 2021-2025. Didattica della vela e la vita di bordo: l’attività prevede un corso di primo livello di navigazione a vela e conduzione di un’imbarcazione storica, attraverso la sperimentazione diretta delle nozioni acquisite.
Pulizia e monitoraggio delle spiagge accessibili solo dal mare: il progetto prevede la pulizia di alcune spiagge difficilmente accessibili via terra, attraverso la rimozione dei rifiuti. In tale occasione saranno anche monitorati i rifiuti attraverso la tecnica del Beach litter riportando dati e riflessioni su appositi moduli, fornendo dati che saranno utilizzati per scopi scientifici.
Ricerca e monitoraggio delle tracce della tartaruga Caretta caretta: i partecipanti impareranno a riconoscere le tracce della tartaruga e saranno impegnati anche nella ricerca delle stesse e nella sensibilizzazione di cittadini e turisti.
Mappatura sentieri: verrà monitorato lo stato dei sentieri che collegano le principali vie sentieristiche dell’isola alle spiagge e insenature, raggiungibili prevalentemente a piedi, e presso le quali faremo sosta con la nostra imbarcazione; e eventuale pulizia o segnalazione delle criticità riscontrate

L'Arcipelago toscano è formato da un gruppo di sette isole maggiori, di cui la più grande è l'isola d'Elba, più alcune minori, secche e scogli situati tra la terraferma toscana e la Corsica. L'arcipelago è bagnato da quattro mari: il mar Ligure a nord dell'isola d'Elba, il canale di Piombino a est, il mar Tirreno a sud e il canale di Corsica a ovest delle coste elbane. Il canale di Corsica e il canale di Piombino possono essere considerati come canali naturali di collegamento tra il mar Ligure e il mar Tirreno, rispettivamente a ovest e ad est dell'isola d'Elba.

Apprendimento relativo alle emergenze ecologiche dell’ecosistema marino e costiero e correlazione con le abitudini di consumo e trattamento dei rifiuti. Attività formative di base volte al riconoscimento delle tracce della tartaruga marina (Caretta Caretta).

I partecipanti alloggeranno su un ketch a vela in legno del 1922 di 16,5 metri. I pasti verranno preparati in barca e si seguirà un'alimentazione prevalentemente vegetariana.

Participants will receive food supplies and be in charge of the cooking and cleaning activities. Note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. PROJECT: This is the eighteenth year (since 2008) that SEEDS has organised a series of International Photography projects and we began organising these camps for teenagers in the year 2010. Throughout the year, participants from all over the world come to Iceland for an immersive photography-focused learning camp. SEEDS coordinators help participants to develop their unique photographic skills through workshops and feedback sessions on technical settings, compositional considerations, and creating conceptual frameworks that highlight each participant s individual style. Participants will have time to put the theory about photography into practice, exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant will be selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods, and laptops, if possible. While learning about photography, the participants have the opportunity to explore Icelandic culture through active participation: capturing it, engaging with it, and showcasing their work throughout the camp. One of our goals is to empower young people to use photography to highlight environmental and cultural subjects and issues.Participants should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and working within a flexible schedule. Participants will be photographing in their free time outside of workshop hours with images to be discussed at group feedback sessions.This camp is open to participants aged 16 to 20. During their stay, SEEDS organises a programme that combines learning, sharing, getting to know Iceland and its culture, and having fun while exploring the city and some of the most stunning natural attractions in the Golden Circle and Reykjanes Peninsula excursions.

The Electra power station in Viesgo began operating at the beginning of the 20th century and was responsible for supplying energy to Cantabria.
Conservation and maintenance practices will be carried out on the accesses and machinery installed there, such as: cleaning, sanding, painting... All of this related to industrial heritage. Another part of the intervention consists of the recovery of the old engine house. In addition, the park of La Central in Puente Viesgo will be presented.

Puente Viesgo is a pretty village of the Autonomic Community of Cantabria, situated inside the ‘Valles Pasiegos’ and just half an hour and 31km from Santander. One of the most beautiful touristic attraction is the ‘Art Rural Centre’ which was created for spreading the archeologic and prehistoric heritage as it has got the ‘Monte Castillo’ caves complex, divided in four caves although only two of those are opened for visiting (‘La Cueva de las Monedas’ (coin cave) and ‘La cueva del Castillo’ (castle cave)). It also has a spa that takes advantage of the medicinal waters of the spring.
The aim of the complementary activities will be to promote solidarity, coexistence, equality and participation:
- A full touristic, cultural or sportive excursion day to the beach.

You will definitely be a part of history of these villagers that fought for their nature in this area!
Work itself will be divided into cleaning and arranging paths that lead up to some nice viewpoints of Stara planina ("The old mountain" in Serbian) as well as the local natural swimming pool "Ženski vir" (Women vortex). Also, you will help to clean the spot for creating small picnic area at the top of the hill nearby, where the view on the surroundings is magnificent. Taking care of the river will also be your task during these days.
Second part will be the support in organization of the festival for nature lovers - arranging the centre of village, setting up the stage and info counters, while on the days of the festival, volunteers will support the workers in handing out flyers and in the whole production.

Topli Do, one of the most remote villages of the municipality of Pirot (1 hour drive from there), is located in the Stara planina nature park under its highest peak, Midžor (2,169m).
The village is one of the most authentic villages on Stara planina (it is officially inside the Stara planina Nature Park). Only 7 km from the village is the peak Babin zub (1,759 m) and the famous ski resort Jabučko ravnište. The village is reached from the direction of the village of Temska, where you pass through the canyon of the river Temštica ("Little Colorado"), certainly one of the most beautiful and attractive canyons of this type in Serbia.
What makes Topli Do and its surroundings stand out from other old mountain villages is the abundance of waterfalls, unique in many ways in Serbia. A special attraction about 4 km from the village is the Piljski waterfall - 64 m. About 8 km from the village there is another interesting waterfall, Kurtulski - 27 m high.
In every case, we recommend you to bring just patience and smile and it will be one great adventure!

Accommodation for volunteers will be provided in the adapted building of the agricultural cooperative "Topli Do" - the mountain lodge Topli Do. Accommodation is provided for volunteers in three four-bedded rooms. Blankets and bedding are provided. The building of the mountain lodge itself is a village building adapted for these purposes and is used as a lodge for adventurers and mountaineers throughout the year. The home has a toilet, a bathroom and a shower with hot water.
The local partner, the "Stojanovic" farm, will prepare meals for volunteers and other festival participants during the camp and the festival. Meals will be served in the canteen in the premises of the agricultural cooperative Topli Do, just across the accommodation.

This camp is organized for teenagers by youth sport club Lukas-Basket which has been running national youth camps for 25 years and International ones for the past 12 years. International teenage camps will be hosted on seaside in the West of Estonia in Laanemaa County in the municipality of Nova. Beautiful nature, numerous historical places, 200 years long tradition of health resort, unique cultural events are the treasures of the County. Nova with warm sea, white sand, mushroom and berry crops, picturesque lakes, cobble stone road and many places of interest is ideal place for leisure. The aim of Nova camp is to give young people possibility to have active, healthy and meaningful summer vacations with different sport adventures, to enjoy unspoiled nature and to learn to live in harmony with it, also to explore and realize their own capacities and limits. The program will include water activities, sport and ball games, eco-hikes, bicycle trips to places of interest, horse riding, fishing, rowing, acquaintance with local culture and many other exciting things. Mens sana in corpore sano (Healthy Spirit in Healthy Body) i this is the message of the camp Besides all this, camp gives possibility for intensive contacts between local youth and their peers from abroad, showing youngsters the diversity of world cultures, broadening their horizons and encouraging active communication through games and creative activities. Finally, there will be some voluntary work for nature protection and to support local community. The area of the camp is about 3 hectares and it can host over 60 youngsters on one shift. The Schwarzwasser Valley near Marienberg is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Saxon Ore Mountains. It is a nature reserve and part of the European Natura 2000 protected area system. The area is characterised by the near-natural course of the river and the rocky, predominantly wooded slopes. The work includes the removal of the ‘glandular balsam’ (Impatiens glandulifera), which is spreading en masse on the upper slopes of the valley. As an alien plant species with high competitive power, it displaces native plant species such as the common balsam (Impatiens nolitangere) and meadowsweet (Filipendlula ulmaria). The shallow-rooted plant is pulled out of the ground together with the root ball and disposed of.

The Hüttstattmühle leisure centre is located between the towns of Olbernhau and Marienberg in the small Erzgebirge village of Ansprung - right at the entrance to the Schwarzwassertal valley. Numerous hiking trails lead through the idyllic valley. There is a large pool, a volleyball court and a football pitch in the extensive grounds of the Hüttstattmühle. Inside there is a table football table, table tennis and a pool table.
Many interesting excursion destinations nearby include the World Heritage Ore Mountains/Krušnohoří, Chemnitz (European capital of culture 2025) and Karlsbad/Karlovy Vary (spa town) in the Czech Republic.

This project is actively working for SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) since 2019 in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Bernice Home was found by a lady by the name of Bernice. She started this home for senior citizens who need quality home care services to seniors with limited mobility or dementia and hence social interaction. She started this home in 2000 and the second home in 2018. The founder belief “life shouldn’t end when you are old, it should be full of happy memories regardless of the age. The founder wants to keep the seniors active and engaged through physical, mental and social activities, all in the comfort of their home.The workcamp was revived in 2023 and in 2024, 8 volunteers from Japan and Hong Kong did great work!

The work camp St Iscle’s Castle: Looking for a past can be summarized as two weeks to share experiences with people from all over the world, get to know the environment, participate in activities, create group awareness and share experiences from of respect, while you acquire archaeological and cultural knowledge of Catalonia through the Sant Iscle Castle as a pillar of the field of work, complemented by the various trips to tourist sites in the area.
During the work at the castle, the aim is to raise awareness about the impact of abandonment, the passage of time and some human actions on the historical and archaeological heritage and the importance of its preservation and recovery, through an activity and an active attitude of respect for the heritage and for its environment.
The hours of work in the castle are carried out in the morning and outside, during which the various archaeological excavation techniques will be made known, according to the composition and nature of the remains that come out, and the registration systems that are used. At the same time, cleaning tasks and knowledge of the various archaeological materials recovered will be carried out.
The work will be organized this way: small groups will be formed, part of one of which, in a rotating manner, will carry out tasks of cleaning and classifying the archaeological material, while the rest will each excavate one of the sectors described. Depending on the speed of the progress of the tasks, the opening of a new sector of excavations can be considered.
*No previous experience is needed to participate in this field of work.

The work camp, like the other activities organized by the GEPV during the summer, takes place at Escola Salvador Espriu. During the summer, the school adapts in order to carry out all the activities.
The main place for coexistence is the school gymnasium, with the showers and toilets nearby; each participant will have a mattress to sleep on and shelves to store belongings. Meals are taken in the school canteen, prepared by a cook and taking into account the specific needs of each participant.
Right in front of the educational center we find the swimming pool, which we use daily, and the town center is a 10-minute walk away.
Finally, the place where the work will take place is Castell de Sant Iscle, a castle from Vidreres located on the outskirts of the town.
During the camp, leisure activities are developed with coherence aiming to achieve group cohesion among participants and fulfill the camp's objectives. Some activities, as examples of our work, may include:
- Ice-breaking games.
- Scavenger hunt to get to know the town of Vidreres and its people.
- Catalan culture workshop: traditional dances and games.
- Mask-making workshop.
- Catalan bowling matches.
- Excursion to Caulès hermitage, the Llobet swamps, Montseny, Sils lakes and Girona.
- Stargazing.
- Orienteering race.
- Non-contact sports night.
- Fun outdoor dinner.
- Movie night.
- Group dynamics.

The work camp, like the other activities organized by the GEPV, takes place at Escola Salvador Espriu. During the summer, the school adapts in order to carry out all the activities.
It is located on the outskirts of the village, with a lot of green areas nearby.
All participants will be living in the same space (the school gymnasium) and the room will be shared with no gender separation: the sleeping area will be equipped with mattresses and wardrobes for all participants. However, it is necessary to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow.
For personal hygiene, volunteers will use the school's changing rooms, which are equipped with showers and sinks, and the changing rooms are going to be divided.
It's important to bring clothing suitable for high temperatures. With the sun shining bright, lightweight and breathable fabrics are key to staying comfortable throughout the day. It's also wise to pack a few layers just in case the weather turns slightly chilly, especially during the evenings or early mornings.
All the meals provided will be prepared by an external chef and the food is going to be prepared in the school kitchen. Adjacent to the kitchen space is the dining hall, where meals are typically served. If anyone has any dietary restrictions or is vegetarian, the organization will accommodate volunteer needs. During the volunteering work, there are going to be breaks for snacks.
There is Wi-Fi, but it’s not working well. However, there is electricity in the work camp.
There are no washing machine or dryer facilities available on-site. If volunteers wish to clean their clothes, they will need to do it by hand.

The accommodation is adapted for individuals with physical disabilities, but the archaeological work is not. Camp activities are NOT accessible for people with reduced mobility, as participants need to have the necessary capabilities to meet the demands of the archaeological work, which is the core focus of the camp.

Grup d'Esplai Vidrerenc (GEPV) is a youth organization in the village of Vidreres of a recreational and non-profit nature, which organizes all kinds of activities based on the pillars of education in leisure. It is a group open to everyone, with the aim of contributing to the development of children and young people, helping them to realize themselves as people, so that they are part of the society that surrounds them in a way active and creative, while giving them tools to grow and train from and to wherever they want.
We are an organization that, on a voluntary basis, carries out leisure activities for children and young people between the ages of 3 and 17 during the winter, which include fun afternoons, camps, the Children's Park Christmas, chocolates… In addition, we have been developing a campaign in the summer that includes the following activities:
Casal-Casalet: from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the months of July and August, with dining and reception services for families who need it.
Casal Jove: teenagers aged 14 to 17 enjoy an active, safe home with various activities.
Work camp: two shifts of two weeks each and of different types: a Catalan volunteer camp with young people between the ages of 14 and 17 and an International volunteer camp with young people between the ages of 18 and 29 years.

Come to our camp if you feel that…
You are a young lover of the environment and heritage recovery. Your volunteer work will contribute to recovering rural roads to connect population centres and the restoration of the old fountain of Lozoyuela. This will mean that you can participate in activities in which you will connect with nature and local culture, as well as improving the accessibility and transitability of routes for residents and visitors of the municipality. The young participants will have the opportunity to participate in environmental awareness campaigns and restoration work on the old fountain.
