Would you like to help children and young people have an unforgettable summer and get to know the Baltic Sea beach at the same time? Then help out with our spring cleaning at Brunswick’s children and youth camping site on the Lenster beach in Groemitz. Together with other young people from all over the world you support the staff of the campsite during various seasonal preparatory repairs on the entire site. Together you will repair or rebuild playgrounds and sports fields as well as barbecue and campfire areas, carry out painting, painting and basic cleaning work, carry out various site maintenance work (gardening and earthworks), repair bicycles and equip tents with beds, mattresses, lamps and other items. (Note: The actual work to be carried out may differ from that described here).
In the first week you will work from Thursday 24 April to Saturday 26 April, in the second week from Monday 28 April to Wednesday 30 April and on Friday 2 May and Saturday 3 May (Thursday 1 May is a public holiday in Germany). Your daily working hours are from 9am to 4pm with a lunch break. As you live and work directly on the campsite, you don’t have to spend time to travel to work.
You will be living in basic 4-bed rooms in the main building of the campsite, which is located just a few metres away from the sandy beach.

The children and youth campsite is just a few metres away from the beautiful Baltic Sea beach. In April it will probably still be too cold to go swimming, but there will be bicycles available for you to use, so you can go on bike rides on the embankments along the Baltic coast!
There is a wide range of free-time activities available for you on the huge outdoor area of the campsite: several football pitches, a beach volleyball court, a beach football court, a beach handball court, a basketball court, a huge bouncy castle, a zip-line, several table tennis tables and giant chess. You can spend your evenings around the campfire.
On the free weekend, it’s also worth taking a trip to Hamburg (100km away) and/or Lübeck (50km away).

You will be sleeping in 4-bed rooms in the main building of a child and youth camping site.
Monday to Friday you will be fully catered for (vegan, halal and kosher are not possible). On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays you cater for yourself. Money for shopping on these days will be provided. Please state any intolerances during registration.
Requisiti e materiali
You should be fit enough for physically demanding work and you should be able to ride a bike.

Children's and youth campsite of the city of Braunschweig
The campsite at Lenster Strand in Grömitz on the Baltic Sea is mainly used for recreation by children and young people from Brunswick, but can also be used by other groups and families. It is primarily aimed at children and young people from lower-income families and thus makes an important contribution to their recreation and relief.
The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. Our principles: Ecological learning, voluntary contribution, self-organisation, social development, intercultural learning, gender equality, anti-racism/anti-discrimination and political education.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

During this camp, participants can share their love for (and learn more about) global and amp; local environmental issues, as well as photography. If you are interested in topics such as climate change, waste management, animal protection and sustainability, and you also love taking photographs, making videos or want to develop your photography skills, then this project is for youWhile developing artistic and technical photography skills, you will be focusing on environmental and sustainability issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits facilitated by SEEDS. One of our aims is to help create more environmentally aware consumers and amp; travellersYou will visit local projects on environment and conservation. These may include hands-on activities or guided visits. Some examples include outdoor cleanup tasks, a geothermal power plant, a local fauna and/or flora exhibition or an outdoor Icelandic culture museum. Some of these activities are dependent on conditions such as weather, as well as availability or restrictions of our partner organisations.You will also have time to put the theory about photography into practice, walking around and exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant are selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods and laptops if possible.

ReykjavEk is a dynamic, modern city which lives in harmony with nature, using renewable energy sources. The worlds northernmost capital bridges the Atlantic, between Europe and North America. ReykjavEk is spread across a peninsula with a panoramic view of the mountains and the Atlantic. It is an international city with a lively cosmopolitan cultural scene surrounded by beautiful nature.One of the two options below is also included in this camp as a hands-on volunteering activity day:1. A day trip to the Hot River area, combined with a cleanup or work with an environmental project in the area, or2. A day trip to the Reykjanes peninsula, combined with a coastal cleanup in the area.It may be very cold and/or rainy, so we recommend bringing warm and waterproof clothes (underlayers, overcoats, scarves, gloves and hats) and good walking shs, as some of the activities take place outdoors.

SEEDS participants will stay in a house in ReykjavEk. The facilities are basic with a kitchen, showers, and a washing machine. Everyone is expected to show consideration for their companions. Participants will sleep in shared rooms or dormitories.Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Please note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

English will be the language in the camp; intermediate conversational skills are needed.Participation fee EUR 400 (Euros). The fee can either be transferred in advance via bank transfer, or paid in cash on arrival. It includes transportation from the meeting point to the camp (on the first day) and the night photography workshop.

Verrà dedicata una particolare attenzione alle dune costiere ed alla nidificazione del fratino. Verranno forniti i materiali necessari alla raccolta dei rifiuti e al termine dell'iniziativa sarà offerto un piccolo ristoro ai volontari e alle volontarie. Work will be carried out in two locations, Ajigasawa and Hiranai. In Ajigasawa, volunteers will remove the snow fence of Shirakami Nature School, putting up a plastic greenhouse, chopping firewood, and digging and transport new saplings at the nursery. In Hiranai, work is carried out to remove dead saplings and replant new ones. The contents of work might be changed due to weather condition, so volunteers need to be flexible!

Volunteers will work in Ajigasawa town and Hiranai town in Aomori prefecture. Aomori is located on the northernmost tip of Honshu Island. Shirakami Mountains located in southwest and the Mutsu-bay nestles between the eastern Shimokita and western Tsugaru Peninsulas. This is the good season for cherry blossom-viewing there. In this workcamp, volunteers doesn't have chance to go to Shirakami-sanchi world heritage place. Other activities - Enjoy rich nature around accommodation, taking a walk at morning, hot spring, etc.

This project is actively working for SDG13 (Climate Action) and SDGs 15 (Life on Land), organized together with Shirakami Mountains Preservation Society (SMPS), since 2006. The Shirakami Mountains is one of Japanese valuable preserved natural forests consisting primarily of beech trees, registered as a World Natural Heritage in 1993. SMPS aims to preserve the natural beauty of the Shirakami Mountains by nurturing seedlings of beech trees, planting them, training mountain guide, etc. SMPS hosts tree-planting ceremony every June for preserving beech forests and promoting the value. They also preserve the forests near the Mutsu-bay, famous as production of scallops. Due to climate change, the sea water temperature increased abnormally in 2010, the most of scallops were dead, so SMPS started to preserve the forest there to let nutrient water flow to the ocean.

This year, you will help with the set construction. During 2025, 2 plays will be performed (The Three Musketeers, an adventure play that tells the story of the young d'Artagnan, who joins the French king's musketeers and fights with them against intrigue, rivalry and danger- and Alice im Wunderland, a surrealist theatre piece that depicts the adventures of young Alice in a fantastical land where she encounters bizarre creatures) the stage needs to be renewed accordingly: In the end, the scenery is supposed to suit both plays– a very interesting and challenging task! You will screw, nail, and paint. Smaller props will need to be built, too.
Apart from that, your work will also entail doing:
• Installing a wooden floor in the prop garage.
• Renewing the cover of the small wooden shelf storage.
• Painting service huts
• Support stage construction
• Clean, repair + paint fence around the perimeter of the site
• Paint hall walls
• Clean the stones around the cold hall with a high-pressure cleaner, replace/refill grit if necessary.
• And some other tasks as needed! Be sure to be always prepare to lend a helping hand
There will be a professional work instructor who helps you with all tasks. For sure it is helpful though, if you have a bit of experience in manual/constructional work and have used tools like cordless screwdrivers before.

Heidenheim an der Brenz is a town with a bit less than 50.000 inhabitants in the southern region of Baden-Württemberg. The area is rather rural with a beautiful countryside: since it is at the end of the Swabian Albs – a mountain range of about 220km-, there are many hills and forests. Also in the town you will find the Hellenstein Castle, first built on the 12th century, and wildlife park with around 100 animals, very close to your project. If you would like to visit a larger town, you may go to Ulm which is only 30km away. Stuttgart and Munich are just about 2 hours by train.

You will be accommodated directly on the project side: Next to the stage, there is huge building for administration, a workshop, a café … here you will have one big room for yourselves, showers, and a kitchen. Mind that there is only one big room for sleeping available to all volunteers – no separation possible! Regarding food, you will be asked to cook for yourselves, and carry out all related activities (grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning after yourselves).

Lights, Curtain, Action! Are you ready to take part in the building of a Theater?
Your host will the Open-Air Theatre Heidenheim, the 2nd largest one of its kind in Southern Germany.
It is situated on the “castle hill” of the town of Heidenheim an der Brenz, surrounded by forests, and can accommodate up to 1100 spectators.
The Open-Air Theatre is run by a non-profit association and they are very excited about hosting again a group of international volunteers. The association was first founded by Gustav Müller over 100 years ago, after the first World War, in his quest of dedicating his life to something that would unite people: art. In 1919 not only did Müller materialize this idea, but also managed to host several productions at the concert hall.
Nowadays, with over 500 members of all ages, the Naturtheater Heidenheim association is one of the popular organizations in the city of Heidenheim and its surrounding area.

Medellin, 'the city of eternal spring', capital of the Antioquia department, has a pleasant climate of around 24?C; it offers modern transport systems like Metro and Metro Cable. Located in a valley surrounded by mountains, this city is always friendly to visitors.
From the mountains that surround the capital of Antioquia you can see how the Medellin River runs parallel to the Metro, which connects various parts of the city. There is an abundance of parks, libraries, museums and public spaces where many cultural events take place. There is a flower festival and in the surrounding villages life is simple with relaxing landscapes and nature reserves.
Places such as the Botanical Garden, the Pies Descalzos park, the Berrio park and the Lleras park are places that you cannot miss.
In addition, Medellin has Parque Explora, an interactive science and technology museum in which children and adults can learn and try a large number of activities. Nearby you find the Planetarium and the Parque de los Deseos.

The place for the activities is in the house where the volunteers stay. No transport is requiered.
There is a room for the volunteers.
The accommodation for volunteers is comfortable, safe and located within the foundation. It offers shared rooms, bathrooms, an equipped kitchen and common areas. Basic services such as Wi-Fi, regular cleaning and laundry are included. The space encourages coexistence with other volunteers and provides a welcoming environment for socializing, ensuring safety and comfort during the stay.

This project is open only to female volunteers.
Extra fee: 650.000 COP/month = approx.150 EUR/month. (The extra fee can change a bit due to the exchange rates). The extra fee includes WeCollab admin fee and a local insurance during your program.

Volunteers will help their organic farm (harvesting/ threshing rice, planting vegetables, taking care of animals, etc.) and their house work especially cooking. Volunteers will also carry the things in the mountain to the Maki farm and harvest rice there. Be ready to work for quite a long time (05:30-18:00 with some brakes) and hard. It'd be surely good exercise to make your body more healthy!

Otari village is a small village located in the region of stunning natural beauty in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, Japan. It is beautiful village near “Japanese Northern Alps”. Tateya Farm has 40 members and NICE started LMTV projects here since 2014. NICE also organizes workcamps and LMTV projects in Maki and Shintoku farms of Kyodo Gakusha.

• Volunteers will stay in a house provided by the local community with very basic living conditions. Volunteers have an obligation to climb down the level of the people with the aim of exposure to development challenges.
• KVDA will provide foodstuffs and volunteers will cook their own meals in turns. Water is available from springs and it is recommended that drinking water should be boiled or medicated. Mineral water available at supermarkets is also recommended.
• The Government policy to install ICT in primary schools has seen connectivity to the national power grid for most educational institutions in Kenya and this makes it easy for volunteers to use electric appliances while at the project.
• Furthermore, we invite you to bring typical food, spices, drinks, games and music from your country (for an intercultural evening) – and a lot of motivation!

• The school was set up in a community dominated by the Taita ethnic group found on Taita hills in 1957 next to the famous Mbololo Mwambirwa Natural Forest that is a source of River Voi which drains its water into the Indian Ocean. The school is located on the hills surrounded by beautiful trees

This project is actively working for SDG2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGS15 (Life on Land), organized together with Sansonjuku, founded in 1994, maintaining forest and step rice paddies through the projects which involve people from the city and local. They started 80-days of international workcamp with NICE since 2008 to make the footpath and maintain the forest. But in July 2012, the hardest rain ever attacked around this area. After that, it had serious damages from a flood. Their aim is to activate the community and sustain the program with young people from the world to conserve this rich nature and revival in this area!

On the mornings of the 2 weeks, you'll be actively involved in setting up the Ecocycle cafe. You'll be asked to build outdoor furniture out of pallet wood, and you'll continue the work started by a volunteer on signage inside the cafe. Whether you're a keen DIY enthusiast or just curious, this workcamp gives you the chance to make your own contribution to the building while discovering the richness and diversity of the dynamics of a third place. Join us for a friendly, rewarding and creative experience!

You will be welcomed at the Ecocycle Cafe, located in the same area as the site. Sleeping accommodation in dormitories of 4 to 5 people. Meals will be prepared and eaten collectively in the cafe's kitchen and dining room. From time to time, you'll enjoy your meals in the company of cafe volunteers, reinforcing the warm, collaborative spirit that is so important to this project. Everyone will be able to help in the kitchen and share their favourite recipes. So don't forget to bring your gourmet ideas!

Nestling in a lush green valley, the commune of Coly - St Amand lies at the heart of the Perigord Noir, an area rich in history! It's made up of two former communes that have decided to come together as one, and we'll be working to bring these formerly separate areas together as one.
The Ecocycle association is a third-place organisation that is developing a participatory activity project in the commune of Saint Amand de Coly and the surrounding area. These activities are strongly influenced by concerns about climate change.
A third place like Ecocycle in Coly-Saint-Amand is a shared space that brings together people, ideas and projects to encourage collaboration and social links. It's a place open to everyone, where you can work, talk, learn and sometimes even relax. Halfway between home and the workplace, a third place can host a variety of activities: workshops, cultural events, training courses or collective projects.
At Ecocycle, for example, there is a strong ecological and community dimension. It promotes recycling, creatively with reused materials, and the development of a shared garden. It's a place that supports local initiatives while creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for residents and visitors alike. In short, it's much more than just a building: it's a place for life, ideas and encounters!
