As a volunteer at the Aalborg City Cup, you will play an essential role in making one of Northern Europe?s largest youth football tournaments a success. Each year, around 300 teams and 8,000?10,000 visitors come from across Europe to participate in and watch the games. To ensure the event runs smoothly, volunteers will help in various areas, including event setup, food service, information support, and venue maintenance. Your tasks will change throughout the day, keeping things dynamic and engaging! On the first day, you?ll sit down with the host to create a work plan and choose the assignments that interest you most?so be sure to read about the different tasks in advance. That way, you can hit the ground running and make the most of your experience!
Event Area Setup
Before the tournament starts, volunteers will help prepare the event area. This includes marking and setting up the 21 football fields, arranging seating areas, and making sure that everything is in place for the opening of the tournament. Volunteers may also assist with setting up banners, signs, and equipment needed for the matches and fan areas. You can also assist in one of the many food trucks on the grounds. This task is ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors and don?t mind some physical work.
Work hours: 10:00 ? 18:00
Food Hall Assistance
With thousands of players, coaches, and visitors attending, the food hall is a crucial part of the tournament. Volunteers will help serve breakfast and dinner to the participants, ensuring meals are distributed smoothly. This role involves organizing food trays, keeping the dining area clean, and assisting guests who have dietary restrictions or special requests. It?s a great opportunity to meet people from different countries while contributing to the overall hospitality of the event.
Work hours: 06:00 ? 22:30, which is divided between breakfast serving from 06:00-10:30 and dinner serving from 16:00-20:00
Information Center Support
The information center is the heart of the event?s organization, where teams and guests can come for assistance. Volunteers will be responsible for checking in teams upon arrival, handing out tournament schedules, answering general questions, and helping lost guests find their way around. This role requires good communication skills and a friendly attitude, as volunteers will interact with international visitors and ensure they have a great experience at the tournament.
Work hours:
17:00 ? 22:00 (on Wednesday)
09:00-22:00 (on Thursday, Friday and Saturday).
Cleaning & Maintenance
To keep the event area welcoming for players and visitors, volunteers will help with regular cleaning and waste management throughout the tournament. This includes collecting trash, ensuring restrooms and common areas are clean, and keeping the playing fields tidy. This task is crucial in maintaining a professional and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone attending the Aalborg City Cup.

Since the camp is short, there won?t be a full free day off, but there will be some free time to relax and enjoy the experience. Volunteers are expected to work a minimum of six hours per day, ensuring that we make the most of our time together while still having moments to unwind.

Sleeping + bathroom facilities:
The exact accommodation is not yet confirmed, but volunteers will either stay at a local school or a community house.
If the group stays at a local school, the host will provide mattresses and sleeping bags, and there will be access to a bath and toilet.

Meals + kitchen facilities:

Aalborg City Cup was first held in 2004 and has since grown into a large international tournament with around 300 teams each year, featuring boys and girls aged 9 to 18.
The tournament takes place on Aalborg Freja?s 21 fields, with matches running from 8 AM to 8 PM. It is always held during the Ascension Day holiday, which next year will be from May 9 to May 11.
Every year, we welcome between 8,000 and 10,000 visitors from across Europe. In the upcoming edition, we expect teams from Norway, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Poland, the Faroe Islands, Lithuania, and, of course, Denmark.
Each year, we have between 1,000 and 1,500 volunteers who help with various tasks, including:
- Cleaning the venue
- Serving breakfast and dinner
- Selling food at our stalls
- Staffing the information center, welcoming guests

Most of the time, you'll enjoy your meals in the company of the volunteers, reinforcing the warm and collaborative spirit that the magic of this festival. This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

You help is needed to continue building up the farm, including construction/ renovating of a tiny house for multifunctional using, made from clay. wood, etc... Previous workcamps in 2023 and 2024 contributed to this project, and now you will have the chance to help complete it. Another manual labour will be renovating other farm facilities. Also, the farm needs a small roundabout that is stable to drive on during wet times.
In August, every garden is in the fullness of its harvest season! Tomatoes sweetened by the sun, courgettes and cucumbers growing at a fast speed and need hard-working hands and hungry mouths. But the weeds don't stop growing either. That's why there will be the opportunity to help in the daily business of Market gardening, such as harvesting, weeding, planting seeds and caring for small plants in the nursery! In other words, there will not only be the opportunity to experience multifaceted gardening firsthand, but also to master manual and physical work in a team. So, if you have extra energy, you are more than welcome!
In our work, we follow the principle of “Market Garden”: Here is what it looks like: on the smallest possible area, as many crops as possible are cultivated without the use of groundwater-damaging fertiliser, only with the help of compost. The most important idea here is recycling, in order to work with as little labour, pesticides and land as possible. Learning gardening skills, the cycle concept and environmental aspects in agriculture are therefore important learning elements during the work camp. Permaculture and biodynamic principles can be experienced here. The care and feeding of chickens and sheep can also be learned in practice. Another important part is building with natural materials. We plan to implement old craft techniques that were used to build houses and infrastructure without modern technology yet were very energy efficient.

Michels Kleinsthof is located between the Black Forest and the Vosges in the border triangle in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany. A nearby quarry pond can be easily reached after work with bicycles provided by the farm and the young, alternative and beautiful student city of Freiburg is also less than 10 minutes away by train. The farm itself is located in a small village called Tunsel, but the entire region is bursting with nature and cultural tourism opportunities. If you are travelling by plane, we would very much appreciate it if you could extend your stay in Central Europe even further, so as not to use climate-damaging mobility just for our project.

Most of the organic seasonal food comes directly from the field to your plate. Everything else that is needed will be purchased. The diet will be predominantly vegetarian. Cooking will take place together in the outdoor kitchen and there will also be the possibility to cook a "classic" dish from your country of origin. Next to the kitchen, there is also a fireplace for sitting together in the evening, so your musical instruments are most welcome! We will also use the clay oven for pizza at least once.
As far as sleeping is concerned, we will either set up a communal tent directly on the field or provide some beds in construction trailers. A small hutch will serve as our shower, a composting toilet is already part of the sanitary facilities in the field.
Please be ready to live in very basic conditions; you will live outdoors most of the time and close to nature. The work can be physically demanding.

Please bring a sleeping bag, swimwear and preferably sturdy shoes for working in the garden. Please note that you will get dirty in the garden, so clothes that can get dirty and are old are recommended. Remember that the sunshine could be strong, and you should bring suitable headgear and sufficient sun protection. Long-sleeved, thin clothing will also work for this.
The living conditions will be very simple, so please be prepared. The work can be physically demanding. Note that it is not recommended to attend if you are allergic to weed.

Michels Kleinsthof is working towards the utopia of a sustainable, resilient, and grandchild-friendly agriculture becoming reality. More than 50 different crops are grown on one hectare using the “Market Gardening” principle. We are part of the movement “Community based agriculture” (in Germany, this is called “Solidarity Farming — Solidarische Landwirtschaft”). This means members are involved in the work on a weekly basis in order to bring sustainable food production to the people. School classes are allowed to experience agriculture firsthand and enjoy looking after chicken, sheep and bees.
There is a great variety of tasks in our diverse garden! Diversity makes us independent of the agricultural industries. It also benefits our fellow creatures of all kinds.
We deliver a large portion of our products to our 90 Solidarity Farming members, while another part is sold at the market in the picturesque nearby town of Staufen.
However, Michel's micro-farm sees itself not only as a food producer, but also as a place of learning and a nature conservation project! Agriculture is the number one cause of species extinction worldwide and is responsible for 25% of climate-damaging greenhouse gas emissions. On one of the most fertile soils in Germany, nestled in a beautiful spot between the Vosges and the Black Forest, the micro-farm sets a counterexample to the monocultures of the rest of the Rhine Valley.

A century ago, Yenping Street was the downtown with prosperity, but nowadays, as business gradually declined, the residents moved away from Xiluo and Yenping Street have become quieter. As a result, many houses have started to decay. Because of the Community Renaissance movement conducted by Luoyoung Foundation and local government, the street becomes prosperous again In the past 9 years, we have invited many cultural groups and artists to visit and stay in Xiluo, and host different performances. At the same time, we are committed to promoting the art of sculpture and reserve more than 40 pieces of public art for Xiluo. They are arranged at the head of the Grand Xiluo Bridge and the Sculpture Park. We also hosted 11 international work camps focusing on renovating heritage houses.However, there are many sculptures that need to be refurbished, painted, maintained, and guaranteed. We are looking for volunteers who are able to share living spaces, people, willing to learn and who takes the initiative.
Vols from outside the Common Travel Area (CTA), as part of your Tier 5 visa, you need to pay a health surcharge if you are staying for more than 6 months, usually GBP1035. Volunteers will register with our local doctors practice soon after arrival.

Lepaniidi Farm has currently about 100 sheep for producing meet and wool, over 40 goats, 20 of whom are for milk and goat cheese production. Volunteers will be helping grazing, feeding, milking the goats, processing the milk, but also picking berries and vegetables. So, in the mornings there will be goats milking, at days - picking the berries and fruits (strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrant) and making a jam/juice or there will be work in vegetable garden, removing weeds, picking vegetables, etc. Towards end of summer volunteers will be mainly picking up and sorting vegetables (potatoes, carrots, beetroots), milking goats and making cheese. Participants will have a great chance to get familiar with various farm jobs and even to learn how to make goat cheese Inside of the house it would be great to give some hand cooking and cleaning around. The working day will be 6-7 hours, 5-6 days a week (NB: milking is every day). Work will be supervised by local hosts with whom volunteers will stay sharing work and leisure as a family.

This camp is absolutely suitable for people who enjoy nature and interested in traditional ways of rural living.

The accommodation conditions at the farm is simple but decent - in old sauna house or caravan but on beds. Please bring your sleeping bag. Toilets and showers are available in the main house; there is also traditional Estonian sauna in the farm. There is a kitchen with necessary equipment for cooking, which volunteers may use freely i just like at home. Usually volunteers will have breakfasts and lunch together with farmers cooked and served by the hosts, but you always can help with cooking. Dinners will be prepared by volunteers.

Special requirementsMotivation letter is required. You have to be ready to adapt to the simple conditions of the common life in the country side of Estonia and be willing to do farm work, which can be hard sometimes. Not suitable for lactose allergic participants since host offers a lot of dairy products. The host eats a lot of meat products too, but volunteers can always cook for themselves. Smoking and drinking alcohol is not allowed in this camp. Participation feeWe ask participants to contribute 60 Euros towards the costs of the general administration. This fee has to be paid by bank transfer before the beginning of the stay. If you cannot make it, ask your sending organization for solution.

According to the Nordic sagas Hiiumaa emerged from the Baltic Sea as a small islet more than 10 000 years ago. The island of Hiiumaa was first mentioned in historical documents as a deserted island called Dageida in 1228. The first inhabitants settled down at the end of the 13th century. Nowadays Hiiumaa is the second biggest island of Estonia with the area of 965 sq. km and the population around 9 000. It has many historical and nature sights, and there are kind people known for their hospitality and good sense of humor. The island is referred as a remote area of Europe, so EstYES feels particularly proud developing international voluntary projects for over 20 years there. For years EstYES has been cooperating with farms all over Estonia for solidarity and practical support to local people who work in agricultural sector keeping traditional life style and developing new eco-farming despite of all difficulties. Lepaniidi Farm on Hiiumaa Island is one of such projects. From Spring to Autumn our electronic Babboe coffee bike roams around providing people free of charge refreshments, food and a place to chat and connect with local people. The food is surplus food from wholesalers prepared by Leinikki. During summer they also have a children s summer camp where volunteers play games and do crafts with children aged 7-11 years old. The volunteers will contribute to both of these projects while having an exciting opportunity to be a part of our community. They will get to be part of the camp, play football and other games, and spend time outside with the children. The volunteers will also be riding the electronic coffee bike so they can have a nice chat with people and provide them refreshments.

Simonkyla is close to Tikkurila in Vantaa, adjacent to Helsinki, renowned for its cultural attractions and recreational facilities. Nature is nearby: a forest with gym equipment is right around the corner and there is a national park with a lake for swimming, and kayaking. Volunteers can borrow bicycles for the duration of the camp in order to explore the area.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Kyodo Gakusha since 2000, a cooperative community where people with various backgrounds such as mentally disadvantaged, people who are tired of city life, who want to learn farming, who want to live in the nature, etc. They have 5 communities in Japan incl. Maki and Tateya and grow animals and vegetables in ecological, organic way. Maki is located in a very isolated area (not accessible for cars and we have to walk 4 km in the mountains!), so it once became an abandon village in 1970s and then, was revived by Kyodo Gakusha. Over 10 people were living till several years ago, but less and less in these years (almost nobody in the winter), so vols. are needed even more!

Alliksaare Farm s main direction is horse breeding. At the moment there are around 150 horses on the farm. The work can be diverse: it is to take care and maintain the pastures located by the sea - clearing around the pastures, building or removing fences, repairing fences, cleaning the stable. Another work is cleaning the coast nearby the farm from rubbish brought by storms. There can be some work for preparing food for horses for a winter time. However the major and the most important one is work with horses directly - taking care and training them. There are horses of any age but mostly young ones, so depending on your experience and willingness to learn more, it is possible to practice taking care of and training young horses. For example socializing and training foals, halter train yearlings and saddle and/or carriage train young horses. The work will be mainly outdoors. Working time is 6-7 hours a day. Work will be done under some supervision and guidance of the local host but mostly independently.

Hiiumaa, according to the Nordic sagas, emerged from the Baltic Sea as a small islet more than 10 000 years ago. The island of Hiiumaa was first mentioned in historical documents as a deserted island called Dageida in 1228. The first inhabitants settled down at the end of the 13th century. Nowadays, Hiiumaa is the second biggest island of Estonia with an area of 965 sq. km and a population of around 9 000. It has many historical and nature sights, and there are kind people known for their hospitality and good sense of humor. The island is referred to as a remote area of Europe, and EstYES feels particularly proud developing international voluntary projects for over twenty years there. EstYES has been cooperating with eco-farms all over Estonia for solidarity and practical support to local people who work in the agricultural sector keeping traditional lifestyle and developing new eco-farming despite all difficulties. Alliksaare Farm on Hiiumaa Island is one of such projects. This is an organic farm promoting sustainable lifestyle, and this camp is proposed for volunteers who appreciate and share its values, want to learn more about it and to help hard working people. Thai Hai Village - one of 32 ‘Best Tourism Villages 2022’ by UN Tourism.
Thai Hai Village is the result of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hai's dedication to preserve traditional cultural values of Tay ethnic group in Vietnam and contribute to building a just and humane society and sustainable development.
More than 30 original stilt houses, at least half a century old was rebuilt and restored in a natural area surrounded by hills and trees in Thai Hai Village. Not only the house's structure but also the ethos of Tay culture, the soul and vitality of the traditional values were preserved and passed on from generation to generation.
Day after day, the villagers cultivate and raise livestock, grow fruits and green tea to accommodate for their daily life, and to serve tourists who come to the village. Together, they form a community that “Eat Together, Share Together”, preserves and promotes their traditional cultural values. After a working day, they gather around the fireplace of the house and sing Then songs (Tay’s traditional singing) with “dan tinh” (traditional musical instrument), with flute and traditional “nang then” dance, together creating a very peaceful and cosy atmosphere.

All summer camps are held under one common theme, though every camp shift has its own focus within which everyday activities for youngsters are organized. Each day of the camp program has a special topic to be discussed and a related activity to work out the outcome. There is also a creative and interactive presentation of a country-participant every day to introduce general and interesting facts about the country as well as cultural customs and national traditions to schoolchildren. The standard number of days in a shift is 7 plus 1 optional Saturday. Every camp is thoroughly documented. The related activities to support topic discussions and country presentations are as follows: various intellectual and sport games for youngsters, creative team projects like posters and sculptures or board-games, pieces of amateur drama or other types of performances, excursions and workshops, playing the games and music popular in the countries the volunteers represent, teaching their songs or folk dances, etc.Every shift has an option for different ages from 10 to 16 years old. All of them are day camps that are held in Tallinn. The working language is English. A number of volunteers working with schoolchildren in one camp may vary from 2 to 8 (both long-term volunteers for the whole summer and short-term volunteers who may join for 2 or 4 weeks); they work in pairs with one of the camp groups of 10-12 teens and change the groups every 2-3 days. Based on the previous year, we expect a number of kids/teens participants in one camp shift as up to 40 split into 2-4 camp groups; the local participants are mainly youngsters from minority groups of Tallinn whose family s languages include Russian.Based on described above, the work and duties of the volunteer include the following: prepare and facilitate topic discussions and camp activities for smaller teams of youngsters as well as larger all-camp events, support and lead youngsters in their work on team projects; help the youngsters and other volunteers in their performances and country presentations; assist the program leader implementing camp activities and trainings for other volunteers; work on the documenting camp events and support the local staff in their work with an international team of volunteers i organizing folders with working materials, making on-line reports and advert, making analysis, compiling the camp albums and leaflets, providing feedback. AccommodationThere are 2 options possible (which are the subject to availability):1) The premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the volunteers accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, equipped kitchen, a small dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Bed linen, pillows and blankets, towels will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, volunteers will be issued only one set of keys. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school accommodation will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that between 01:00 a.m. and 09:00 a.m. the access to the building will be closed. You will need to organize your own overnight stay if you wish to spend time in the city between the aforesaid hours. Catering will be organized by the school on an agreement with the volunteers (selection of times, meals - provided or volunteers cook, etc.)2) A furnished shared apartment in the residential area of Tallinn. The apartment has three-four dormitory bedrooms and all necessary facilities, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center by public transport. Public transport cards will be provided. Volunteers will cook their breakfast meals themselves (food for a standard European breakfast will be provided); dinner meals will be served at school between 18:00 and 19:00; lunches will be organized for the whole camp (including kids/teens) in the city centre.

An experience of working with children is an advantage. You'll be working on a timber frame for a hiking shelter, located in the immediate proximity of the Abbey of Clausonne. A local carpenter will guide you in assembling the supporting structure, making the joints, and building the floor. Each day, two members of the group will rotate in preparing meals for the team; the menu will be defined in advance. You'll work on-site during the mornings from Monday to Friday.

A small valley in the heart of a sublime alpine landscape, the remains of the 12th-century abbey of Clausonne, and a 300 km hiking trail that crosses the site. All this invites you to discover this rural area and its history! Here, for the past 30 years, a local association has been involved in preserving and promoting the site, as well as contributing to the life of Clausonne and writing its present-day history.
Last summer, work began on the construction of a hiker's shelter on the site. As this is a stage on an itinerary of ancient transhumance routes, you'll be contributing to welcoming cyclists and hikers for years to come.
This project is just one of the many initiatives in which international and local volunteers, the people on work integration programs, and other professionals have participated over the years.
You'll be staying at the Ferme du Fai, an old mountain farmhouse that's kept alive by a team of employees working on the renovation of the buildings, artists and musicians in artistic residences, hikers passing through, and the curious. This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

Project overview
The Taita hills rise from the Southeastern Nyika Plateau. They are ancient fault-block formation stretching south to Malawi through Eastern and Southern Tanzania. They sit almost cheek-by-jowl with one of the region’s recent volcanic ranges, the Chyulu Hills. The project is situated on the foot of the Sagalla Hills in Taita Taveta district in coastal part of Kenya. It is approximately 7-8 hours’ drive from Nairobi. Sagalla is remembered to be a home of the first missionaries in the early 1900 and these is evident with one of the first churches in Kenya still standing strong.
Project activities
Gideon Mosi Primary School is a relatively new institution was founded in 1990 and it has rapidly expanded to accommodate 293 boys and girls from class 1-8. The 8 Teachers at the Gideon Mosi Primary School are employed by the Teachers Service commission and they are qualified to teach all rounds from class 1-8. In cases where the teaching staff is not adequate, the Parents and Teachers Association employs teachers for a short duration of time to help bridge the obtaining gap.

Activating kids in the city camp and providing them with cross-cultural learning experience. Volunteers will do it by using various informal methods of teaching as well as small group techniques. The activities to be held by a team of volunteers may include the following: playing the games and performing music that are popular in the countries the volunteers represent; training kids to perform pieces of amateur drama; preparing festivals; providing intellectual and sport games as well as discussions; preparing quests to combine with excursions round the places of interest; organizing actions for peace and nature protection; leading and supporting kids in their work on the team projects within the topics related to the main theme of the summer. Volunteers are responsible for the day activities in the camp. The work can be quite hard, involving long working hours, requiring high level of commitment and responsibility. You will stay with campers from 10:00 to 17:00 (45-minute lunch is included) and spend about another hour to prepare and finalize next day activities and feedback. Working days are from Monday to Friday plus one duty Saturday; Sundays are days off except the one after arrival. The local participants are mainly youngsters from minority groups of Tallinn whose family s languages include Russian. Based on the previous year, we expect a number of kids/teens participants in one camp shift as up to 40. Volunteers will work in pairs facilitating and leading a smaller group of 10 - 12 children or less during the day and change the groups every 2-3 days.During the first three days of the workcamp after arrival, volunteers will be given the training on the camp methodology and some time to prepare themselves to meet the kids/teens on Monday and further carry out their tasks in the camp. For this reason, it is important to arrive on time.

There are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the start of the project):1) The premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the volunteers accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a small dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Bed linen, towels, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, volunteers will be issued only one set of keys. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that between 01:00 a.m. and 09:00 a.m. the access to the building will be closed. Catering will be organized by the school on an agreement with the volunteers (selection of times, meals - provided or volunteers cook, etc.).2) A furnished shared apartment in the residential area of Tallinn. Volunteers will be issued two sets of keys. The apartment has three-four dormitory bedrooms and all necessary facilities, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center by public transport. Public transport cards will be provided. Volunteers will cook their breakfast meals themselves (food for a standard European breakfast will be provided); dinner meals will be served at school between 18:00 and 19:00; lunches will be organized for the whole camp (including kids/teens) in the city centre.Please note: it is not possible to stay at any of the camp accommodation options before or after the camp arrival and departure days. If you need a place to stay before or after the workcamp dates, we can help you to book a hostel in Tallinn.

Special requirementsYou have to be really motivated to work with kids. Please provide a letter of your motivation along with the application form. An experience of working with children is an advantage. Your ideas and actual preparation to do the activities for kids are essential, so a successful volunteer will be required to meet the team online to discuss and complete some preliminary preparation. We ask you to bring some materials: postcards, posters, symbols of your country, music or popular national games etc., which can be used during your country presentation. We expect active volunteers with a good knowledge of history and culture of their country as well as with an ability and wish to present it to others in a creative way. B2 level of English is required. The age of volunteers is from 20 to 33. Please note that before making a final decision about your participation in the camp, the project coordinator will have a video interview with you.Participation feeWe ask participants to contribute 50 Euro towards the costs of general administration. If you apply for two shifts in a row the participation fee is 80 Euro. This fee has to be paid by bank transfer before the beginning of the camp. If you cannot make it, please contact your sending organization for a solution.

This project is organized for local children by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALPS) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. Some international teenage participants may randomly join. The common project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to children and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication using the learning-by-doing method and organizing alternative English language practice. The project gets youngsters familiar with customs and traditions of the countries from all over the world and encourages them to develop their cross-cultural thinking and tolerance as well as global thinking and individual initiative. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with millions of combinations of the world s reality. Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. I campi di formazione e volontariato per minorenni a Pioppi nascono con il chiaro obiettivo di formare i ragazz* alla vita di gruppo, alla scoperta e valorizzazione della natura marina e terrestre del nostro mediterraneo nel meraviglioso contesto del parco del Cilento, ospitati presso il centro Velico di Pioppi.
Oltre all'impegno ambientale, i partecipanti avranno anche l'opportunità di imparare nuove abilità sportive, grazie ai corsi di vela e SUP tenuti da istruttori qualificati. I corsi di vela consentiranno ai giovani di apprendere le basi della navigazione a vela, mentre i corsi di SUP offriranno loro di apprendere una disciplina divertente e sana. L’offerta del centro non si limita all’elemento acqua ma si addentra nella macchia e nella foresta mediterranea grazie al percorso naturalistico orientato che porta alla cascata del Pozzo dell’Uva Nera, agli sport di gruppo presso i campetti di calcio e padel, a soli 300m dal centro Velico, percorribili in sicurezza a piedi.

Alcune giornate del campo saranno dedicate ad attività di volontariato quali pulizia spiagge, pulizia del sentiero e manutenzione aree verdi del centro.
I partecipanti al campo saranno coinvolti attivamente nella pulizia delle spiagge e delle calette locali. Attraverso questa attività, impareranno l'importanza di preservare e proteggere gli ecosistemi marini, contribuendo direttamente alla salvaguardia dell'ambiente.
Un’attività cardine dei campi sarà la visita archeologica guidata presso il parco di Paestum o dell’antica Elea; il viaggio nella storia continua presso Il Museo Vivo del Mare e della Dieta Mediterranea che si trova a pochi passi dal Centro velico, una piccola passeggiata porta i ragazzi presso i Musei gestito da Legambiente e poi al centro del piccolo borgo di Pioppi, piccola comunità di pescatori che conserva intatto il fascino di una storia antica.

Pioppi è la capitale mondiale della dieta mediterranea e uno dei luoghi più belli e noti della costa del Parco Nazionale del Cilento. La cultura mediterranea è ricca di frutti da cogliere durante queste esperienze; le radici culturali affondano nel Cilento sin dai tempi dell’antica Elea, insediamento della Magna Grecia, città stato di Parmenide e Zenone, che insiste a pochi chilometri dal nostro centro.

I corsi sportivi di SUP, Vela e Windsurf saranno seguiti dai nostri istruttori certificati e guidati dai coordinatori di campo sempre presenti ed attenti alle necessità dei ragazz*.
La giornata della legalità si concentrerà sulla figura di Angelo Vassallo, sindaco di Pollica ucciso nel 2010, la cui opera è impressa nella bellezza dei luoghi che ospitano il campo. Incontreremo amici e familiari che con lui hanno condiviso battaglie e sogni.

Il Circolo Cilento Mediterraneo nasce a Pioppi sull'esempio e la memoria di Angelo Vassallo, sindaco indimenticato del nostro Comune, barbaramente ucciso nel 2010.
Il Circolo concentra le sue attività attorno al Museo del Mare e della Dieta mediterranea, che gestisce sotto l'egida di Legambiente nazionale.
Diverse le iniziative che durante l'anno coinvolgono cittadini e turisti, puntando sempre alla conservazione della natura e alla sensibilizzazione sui temi del rispetto per l'ambiente.
Il campo è realizzato in collaborazione con l'ASD Anemos Pioppi, associazione iscritta al Coni, che gestirà le attività sportive del campo.

I campi di volontariato si svolgono nella spiaggia dell’Isola dei Conigli, zona A di Riserva Naturale e sito di deposizione della tartaruga marina Caretta caretta. I campi hanno una duplice finalità: contribuire alla tutela della spiaggia, intensamente frequentata a fini balneari, in modo da garantire le condizioni ambientali idonee all’ovodeposizione di Caretta caretta, controllando l’impatto antropico sul sito; sorvegliare e proteggere i nidi di Caretta caretta, dalla deposizione alla schiusa. Questi campi sono una grande occasione per quanti, appassionati della natura, vogliono prendersene cura svolgendo attività utili ed entusiasmanti, in uno dei luoghi più belli di Lampedusa e del Mediterraneo, meritevole di essere salvaguardato per la sua bellezza e per la sua grande importanza naturalistica.
Lavoro
Il campo prevede lo svolgimento di turni giornalieri di 6 ore circa e, all’occorrenza, turni notturni di 8–10 ore. I turni giornalieri sono finalizzati al controllo della balneazione, mediante sorveglianza ed attività di informazione e sensibilizzazione dei bagnanti, in modo da far rispettare i regolamenti vigenti nella riserva. Dalle 8 alle 20.00 i volontari si alterneranno per coprire due postazioni fisse: una all'ingresso della Riserva e una sulla spiaggia. All'ingresso, i volontari forniranno informazioni ai visitatori e forniranno supporto agli operatori nelle attività di controllo degli accessi alla spiaggia. In spiaggia, i volontari sorveglieranno gli eventuali nidi deposti, saranno punto di riferimento per quanti vogliono conoscere la biologia riproduttiva di Caretta caretta e svolgeranno attività di sensibilizzazione nei confronti dei turisti (inviteranno al rispetto delle norme comportamentali da osservare, effettueranno la pulizia dell’arenile, ecc.). I volontari, inoltre, collaboreranno nelle attività di rilevamento dei dati sulla fruizione e saranno di sostegno agli operatori della riserva per il rilevamento dei dati sui nidi di tartaruga e sui piccoli. I turni notturni si svolgeranno presso la struttura ubicata all'ingresso della riserva e sono finalizzati ad impedire l’accesso in spiaggia di eventuali visitatori durante la notte, che potrebbero pregiudicare gli eventi di nidificazione della tartaruga. Durante le schiuse dei nidi i turni notturni si svolgeranno in spiaggia. I volontari parteciperanno anche alle attività di salvaguardia e sorveglianza (diurna e notturna) di eventuali nidi deposti in altre spiagge dell’isola che rientrano nelle competenze dell'Ente Gestore della Riserva. I volontari, a turno, si occuperanno anche della preparazione dei pasti e della pulizia dell’alloggio.

Molto più vicina all’Africa che alla Sicilia, Lampedusa appartiene all’Arcipelago delle Pelagie. Nel 1996 la Regione Siciliana ha istituito la Riserva Naturale “Isola di Lampedusa”, gestita da Legambiente Sicilia. L’area protetta si estende per circa 360 ettari lungo un’ampia fascia incontaminata della costa meridionale dell’isola ed è finalizzata alla conservazione delle espressioni più significative della fauna e della flora presenti sul territorio. La spiaggia dei Conigli è stata per anni oggetto di ogni forma di abuso e degrado, ma grazie agli interventi di recupero ambientale, controllo e sensibilizzazione dell’Ente Gestore oggi è un modello di gestione e promozione di un turismo sostenibile, che ha saputo coniugare conservazione della natura con la fruizione del territorio.

Attività formative
All’inizio di ogni campo i volontari parteciperanno ad un incontro formativo presso la sede della Riserva (tenuto dal personale della Riserva), durante il quale verranno fornite le principali informazioni sull’area protetta (storia, caratteristiche, regolamento, ecc.), sulla biologia della tartaruga marina e sulle attività che si svolgeranno durante il campo.

I volontari saranno ospitati in un appartamento ubicato in centro.
Requisiti e materiali
Il campo è particolarmente impegnativo, poiché prevede una turnazione continua per garantire il controllo del sito h24. Buona attitudine a camminare; buone condizioni fisiche, capacità di svolgere le attività anche con particolari condizioni climatiche (essere in grado di trascorrere diverse ore sotto il sole, ma anche in presenza di vento, umidità, pioggia, zanzare…).

Il Circolo Legambiente Esther Ada nasce a Lampedusa nel 2011 ed è principalmente coinvolto nell'organizzazione delle campagne nazionali di Legambiente e nella realizzazione di progetti relativi a problematiche di carattere ambientale e sociale. In collaborazione con la Riserva Naturale “Isola di Lampedusa” propone attività di educazione ambientale agli studenti delle scuole dell’isola e si occupa dell’organizzazione dei campi di volontariato per la tutela della Spiaggia dei Conigli, sito di deposizione della tartaruga marina Caretta caretta.

The volunteers will help with the green area maintenance in the bronze age farm and around the rock carvings. The group should be ready for hands-on activities and working outdoors. The volunteers also assist in preparing for the summer solstice event, which is held during the camp. Those midsummer preparations include picking flowers, dressing the maypole, and talking to our visitors about the event.

Countryside on the west coast of Sweden. Around the world heritage area there are forests and lakes and lots of hiking trails. Not far from Tanum lies the coast, with restaurants, shops, beaches and beautiful cliffs by the ocean. In their free time the volunteers will have the opportunity to get to know Swedish nature, the world heritage area and on certain occasions go to the popular seaside town of Grebbestad. On Friday it is midsummer, and you will have the option of participating in a midsummer celebration. A traditional Swedish midsummer is best celebrated on the west coast of Sweden, so you are definitely in the right place to experience it

The accommodation is located between the museum and a forest. There are small cottages with bunk beds and cooking facilities. Bathrooms and showers are located in a nearby building. The volunteers will cook most of their meals together as a group.

The volunteers need to have interest towards World Heritage and prepare themselves before the camp in order to tell about the World Heritage projects in their home countries. One page motivation letter together with the application is needed. The volunteers need travel insurance for the duration of their stay. Registration fee 50euro.
