MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Bernice Home was found by a lady by the name of Bernice. She started this home for senior citizens who need quality home care services to seniors with limited mobility or dementia and hence social interaction. She started this home in 2000 and the second home in 2018. The founder belief “life shouldn’t end when you are old, it should be full of happy memories regardless of the age. The founder wants to keep the seniors active and engaged through physical, mental and social activities, all in the comfort of their home.The workcamp was revived in 2023 and in 2024, 8 volunteers from Japan and Hong Kong did great work!

During this camp, participants can share their love for (and learn more about) global and local environmental issues, as well as photography. If you are interested in topics such as climate change, waste management, animal protection and sustainability, and you also love taking photographs, making videos or want to develop your photography skills, then this project is for youWhile developing artistic and technical photography skills, you will be focusing on environmental and sustainability issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits facilitated by SEEDS. One of our aims is to help create more environmentally aware consumers and travellersYou will visit local projects on environment and conservation. These may include hands-on activities or guided visits. Some examples include outdoor cleanup tasks, a geothermal power plant, a local fauna and/or flora exhibition or an outdoor Icelandic culture museum. Some of these activities are dependent on conditions such as weather, as well as availability or restrictions of our partner organisations.You will also have time to put the theory about photography into practice, walking around and exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant are selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods and laptops if possible.

Reykjavik is a dynamic, modern city which lives in harmony with nature, using renewable energy sources. The world s northernmost capital bridges the Atlantic, between Europe and North America. Reykjavik is spread across a peninsula with a panoramic view of the mountains and the Atlantic. It is an international city with a lively cosmopolitan cultural scene surrounded by beautiful nature.In this project SEEDS will organise a night photography (Northern Lights) workshop in the city or in the vicinity of Reykjavik. This will take place during late evening and possibly into the night. Northern lights are a natural phenomenon depending on solar activity and meteorological conditions; we cannot guarantee you will see northern lights, but the night photography workshop will be organised anyway.Some excursions (e.g. to the Golden Circle, Hot River hike and/or South Shore) can be arranged at discount fares if there is free time after the camp workshops/sessions.

SEEDS participants will stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with a kitchen, showers, and a washing machine. Everyone is expected to show consideration for their companions. Participants will sleep in shared rooms or dormitories.Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Please note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) is a non-profit organization that caters to the needs of children in and around Chow Kit. They run two drop-in centers in Chow Kit and one safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship. YCK operate in partnership with Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. YCK developed out of Nur Salam and was incorporated in 2011. The past workcamps since 2018 Sep. have been successful and in 2024, 48 vols. from Japan, Mexico and Italy joined 4 workcamps with creating great impact!

Your host community Germersheim is looking forward to your help with renovation tasks in the fortress museum. The fortress is everywhere in Germersheim. The numerous historic buildings are listed and are used in a variety of ways: as a museum, university, music school and youth center. The Ludwigstor, as one of the preserved city gates, will be “your fortress building”, which is used as a museum but is closed due to necessary renovation and restoration work. With your help, it should be reopened in 2026. To this end, we are organizing two Workcamps with the city of Germersheim this year. In this spring Camp, we need your help with the renovation of the exhibition rooms. The rooms are to be restored to their original “historical” state as far as possible and everything that deviates from the construction period is to be removed. Specifically: historic windows must be thoroughly refurbished, plywood panels that keep out daylight must be carefully removed, the window timbers must be sanded and revitalized with oily paints. Some of the historic wooden floors have PVC coverings, which should be carefully removed without damaging the substrate, e.g. with a spatula or special tools. Door frames that do not correspond to the construction period, i.e. were added later, should be carefully removed, as should wall areas that close off former passageways. As you can see, you can really let off steam here, but it's also strenuous work that requires a bit of strength! Turn up the music and off you go. If you want to really let off steam in an old fortress, this is the place for you. Another aspect is that you should document your work digitally, e.g. with a video diary of your work or a photo documentation that not only shows you at work, but also the spatial changes before and after your work assignment.

You have lots of leisure options: you can be in Speyer in 12 minutes by S-Bahn, with a beautiful historic old town, the cathedral, technology museum, Sea Life, Bademaxx (leisure pool), cafés and bars. The university cities of Heidelberg and Karlsruhe are also very easy to reach by train. You can also travel to France, e.g. to Strasbourg. If you like hiking, you can do so in the Palatinate Forest with its many castles and huts to stop off at. To discover Germersheim, you can take a guided tour of the town. Germersheim has an old town with several stores and cafés. www.germersheim.eu You can take an electric boat trip (night trip) or a canoe trip on the Rhine. This project is co-organized with "Sugiura Farm" that engages in organic farming for pursuing food safety and an environmental-friendly society. The owner of this farm is Mr. Sugiura, who was the only a man taking care of 2 hectares of farmland abandoned by local people until 2022. The local farmaers became too old to keep working on the farm. Mr. Sugiura cultivates, harvests crops, even makes fertilizer and processes the harvest into products. He is working not only for crops, but also for conserving the environment and the beautiful scenery of living fields in the countryside of Japan.

Are you a nature lover? Then this is the perfect workcamp for you! Here you will have the opportunity to spend 2 weeks working and living in the forest. Your main task will be to plant trees as part of an active contribution to conservation! You will also be helping out with several other conservation tasks, such as forest maintenance, constructing and repairing protective fences, and preserving the biotopes in the area. By working on these activities, you will also learn a lot about the ecosystem of a forest!

You will be living in a beautiful accommodation building in the middle of the forest, where you can barbecue together in the evening and sit around the campfire. You will also be able to take trips to the river Rhine, to Koblenz, to Mainz or to Frankfurt during the camp. During this camp, our main goal for the week will be all about woodworking. This means we'll be busy building DIY furniture specifically designed for our outdoor areas. To make sure everyone learns the woodworking skills well, we've arranged for a skilled instructor to guide us through hands-on training sessions. Alongside woodworking, we'll also take care of other renovation tasks, like painting walls and fixing up small things indoors and outdoors. Since a lot of our work will be outside, it's essential for everyone to come prepared with waterproof clothing to handle any bad weather that comes our way.

The camp will take place at the "Projekt- und Begegnungsstatte" of the Association of Young Volunteers (Vereinigung Junger Freiwilliger e.V. (VJF)). Situated directly on the banks of Lake "Langer See" in Berlin-Grunau, this peaceful location offers a quiet retreat just one hour away from central Berlin, with excellent infrastructure.
Leisure Time:
Free-time activities will be decided upon by participants at the start of the camp. We encourage you to research and suggest activities you'd like to experience in Berlin to contribute to group plans.

You will be staying in heated bungalows at the training center. Bed linen will be provided, so you don't necessarily need to bring a sleeping bag. However, please note that there is no washing machine on-site and only limited internet access.

The Thai New Year season called “Songkran” will be held on 13-15 April.
Songkran is an important custom for Thai families, community and religion.
It is also very popular with visitors. Thai people will prepare themselves for
the beginning of the New Year by cleaning their houses and preparing to
celebrate the festival in the local temples and communities. There are many
activities during the festival including the water splashing, the bathing rite
for Buddha images and the monks, and the performances for all 3 days.
Moreover, local foods that it is not easy to find on a normal day will be
provided by the local people. Everyone can join in the celebration and
festival. VSA has organized this work camp to support the festival and
celebrate Thai traditional New Year with the international participants by

If you have always wanted to visit Berlin, then this camp is the right calling for you. Besides the supportive work at our project center you will have plenty of time to explore this unique city.
The project center is located between the banks at the lake (Langer See) and a nearby forest part. It is the perfect spot to enjoy the silence away from the city life. At the same time it is also the location of the workcamp and your accommodation for the period of the workcamp. The property includes two main buildings and six bungalows and has plenty of recreational and leisure activities to offer for our guests and seminar groups. We need your support to prepare the project center for the next season. These are simple tasks, like raking of leaves, piled and loaded onto a vehicle or maintenance/renovation work inside and outside the buildings. In simple words, the property of our project center needs to get in shape for the season and that is why we need your help.

Location: You are accommodated at the "Projekt- und Begegnungsstätte" of the Vereinigung Junger Freiwilliger e.V. The small bungalow village is located directly at the lake "Langer See" in Berlin. It is a quiet place with good connections to the center of Germanys capital.

At the center you can do sports and games (e.g. table tennis, volleyball), hiking tours and Berlin explorations.The leisure activities will be discussed and jointly determined by the participants. Smaller groups for some excursions are also possible.
Please research in advance what sights in Berlin you would like to visit and contribute your ideas to the group to plan your leisure time together.

Accommodation:
You will live in one of the heated bungalows of the project and meeting center. There are six bungalows in total, each equipped with a bathroom, shower and toilet. Bed linen are provided so you do not need to bring any sleeping bag or linen. The main buildings can also be used for cooking, sharing meals and leisure activities during the stay.
Food:
Meals are prepared in alternating cooking groups in a large kitchen at the main building. Please bring some recipes or ingredients from your home region for some culinary exchange events. For the cook a grill for bbq can be provided as well.

Thai Hai Village - one of 32 ‘Best Tourism Villages 2022’ by UN Tourism.
Thai Hai Village is the result of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hai's dedication to preserve traditional cultural values of Tay ethnic group in Vietnam and contribute to building a just and humane society and sustainable development.
More than 30 original stilt houses, at least half a century old was rebuilt and restored in a natural area surrounded by hills and trees in Thai Hai Village. Not only the house's structure but also the ethos of Tay culture, the soul and vitality of the traditional values were preserved and passed on from generation to generation.
Day after day, the villagers cultivate and raise livestock, grow fruits and green tea to accommodate for their daily life, and to serve tourists who come to the village. Together, they form a community that “Eat Together, Share Together”, preserves and promotes their traditional cultural values. After a working day, they gather around the fireplace of the house and sing Then songs (Tay’s traditional singing) with “dan tinh” (traditional musical instrument), with flute and traditional “nang then” dance, together creating a very peaceful and cosy atmosphere.

Description: Wake Up the Earth Festival is our biggest festival which takes place on the first Saturday of May every year. This year will be the 42nd festival. The original festival was to celebrate the stopping of a highway being built through our section of Boston. Since then, the festival has raised awareness about the environment, labor issues and other political issues. The volunteers will join the festival committee to organize, publicize and engage the community in the event. They will help prepare signs, banners, costumes, decorations, kids' activities, etc. They will run workshops for children to prepare costumes and props for the parade that starts the festival. Volunteers will help during the event with logistics, set-up, and general support. After the event, the volunteers will be involved with breakdown, clean up and final analysis of the event.

Would you like to help children and young people have an unforgettable summer and get to know the Baltic Sea beach at the same time? Then help out with our spring cleaning at Brunswick’s children and youth camping site on the Lenster beach in Groemitz. Together with other young people from all over the world you support the staff of the campsite during various seasonal preparatory repairs on the entire site. Together you will repair or rebuild playgrounds and sports fields as well as barbecue and campfire areas, carry out painting, painting and basic cleaning work, carry out various site maintenance work (gardening and earthworks), repair bicycles and equip tents with beds, mattresses, lamps and other items. (Note: The actual work to be carried out may differ from that described here).
In the first week you will work from Thursday 24 April to Saturday 26 April, in the second week from Monday 28 April to Wednesday 30 April and on Friday 2 May and Saturday 3 May (Thursday 1 May is a public holiday in Germany). Your daily working hours are from 9am to 4pm with a lunch break. As you live and work directly on the campsite, you don’t have to spend time to travel to work.
You will be living in basic 4-bed rooms in the main building of the campsite, which is located just a few metres away from the sandy beach.

The children and youth campsite is just a few metres away from the beautiful Baltic Sea beach. In April it will probably still be too cold to go swimming, but there will be bicycles available for you to use, so you can go on bike rides on the embankments along the Baltic coast!
There is a wide range of free-time activities available for you on the huge outdoor area of the campsite: several football pitches, a beach volleyball court, a beach football court, a beach handball court, a basketball court, a huge bouncy castle, a zip-line, several table tennis tables and giant chess. You can spend your evenings around the campfire.
On the free weekend, it’s also worth taking a trip to Hamburg (100km away) and/or Lübeck (50km away).

Children's and youth campsite of the city of Braunschweig
The campsite at Lenster Strand in Grömitz on the Baltic Sea is mainly used for recreation by children and young people from Brunswick, but can also be used by other groups and families. It is primarily aimed at children and young people from lower-income families and thus makes an important contribution to their recreation and relief.
The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. If you are interested in topics such as climate change, waste management, animal protection and sustainability, and you also love taking photographs, making videos or want to develop your photography skills, then this project is for youWhile developing artistic and technical photography skills, you will be focusing on environmental and sustainability issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits facilitated by SEEDS. One of our aims is to help create more environmentally aware consumers and amp; travellersYou will visit local projects on environment and conservation. These may include hands-on activities or guided visits. Some examples include outdoor cleanup tasks, a geothermal power plant, a local fauna and/or flora exhibition or an outdoor Icelandic culture museum. Some of these activities are dependent on conditions such as weather, as well as availability or restrictions of our partner organisations.You will also have time to put the theory about photography into practice, walking around and exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant are selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods and laptops if possible.

ReykjavEk is spread across a peninsula with a panoramic view of the mountains and the Atlantic. Work will be carried out in two locations, Ajigasawa and Hiranai. In Ajigasawa, volunteers will remove the snow fence of Shirakami Nature School, putting up a plastic greenhouse, chopping firewood, and digging and transport new saplings at the nursery. In Hiranai, work is carried out to remove dead saplings and replant new ones. The contents of work might be changed due to weather condition, so volunteers need to be flexible!

This project is actively working for SDG13 (Climate Action) and SDGs 15 (Life on Land), organized together with Shirakami Mountains Preservation Society (SMPS), since 2006. The Shirakami Mountains is one of Japanese valuable preserved natural forests consisting primarily of beech trees, registered as a World Natural Heritage in 1993. SMPS aims to preserve the natural beauty of the Shirakami Mountains by nurturing seedlings of beech trees, planting them, training mountain guide, etc. SMPS hosts tree-planting ceremony every June for preserving beech forests and promoting the value. They also preserve the forests near the Mutsu-bay, famous as production of scallops. Due to climate change, the sea water temperature increased abnormally in 2010, the most of scallops were dead, so SMPS started to preserve the forest there to let nutrient water flow to the ocean.

This year, you will help with the set construction. During 2025, 2 plays will be performed (The Three Musketeers, an adventure play that tells the story of the young d'Artagnan, who joins the French king's musketeers and fights with them against intrigue, rivalry and danger- and Alice im Wunderland, a surrealist theatre piece that depicts the adventures of young Alice in a fantastical land where she encounters bizarre creatures) the stage needs to be renewed accordingly: In the end, the scenery is supposed to suit both plays– a very interesting and challenging task! You will screw, nail, and paint. Smaller props will need to be built, too.
Apart from that, your work will also entail doing:
• Installing a wooden floor in the prop garage.
• Renewing the cover of the small wooden shelf storage.
• Painting service huts
• Support stage construction
• Clean, repair + paint fence around the perimeter of the site
• Paint hall walls
• Clean the stones around the cold hall with a high-pressure cleaner, replace/refill grit if necessary.
• And some other tasks as needed! Be sure to be always prepare to lend a helping hand
There will be a professional work instructor who helps you with all tasks. For sure it is helpful though, if you have a bit of experience in manual/constructional work and have used tools like cordless screwdrivers before.

Heidenheim an der Brenz is a town with a bit less than 50.000 inhabitants in the southern region of Baden-Württemberg. The area is rather rural with a beautiful countryside: since it is at the end of the Swabian Albs – a mountain range of about 220km-, there are many hills and forests. Also in the town you will find the Hellenstein Castle, first built on the 12th century, and wildlife park with around 100 animals, very close to your project. If you would like to visit a larger town, you may go to Ulm which is only 30km away. Stuttgart and Munich are just about 2 hours by train.

You will be accommodated directly on the project side: Next to the stage, there is huge building for administration, a workshop, a café … here you will have one big room for yourselves, showers, and a kitchen. Mind that there is only one big room for sleeping available to all volunteers – no separation possible! • The school was set up in a community dominated by the Taita ethnic group found on Taita hills in 1957 next to the famous Mbololo Mwambirwa Natural Forest that is a source of River Voi which drains its water into the Indian Ocean. The school is located on the hills surrounded by beautiful trees
• The current education level of the community surrounding the school has improved tremendously due to positive impact of the institution on their socio-cultural and economic lives. Most of them have embraced education being the foundation to advance to higher institution of learning.
