Ce site fascinant fut une forteresse stratégique au carrefour des routes commerciales. Depuis quatre ans, des bénévoles du monde entier redonnent vie à ce lieu en dégageant les ruines et en ouvrant de nouveaux chemins d'accès. Grâce à eux·elles, le village et son église du XIIe siècle retrouvent une vue imprenable. Plonge au cœur de l’histoire et participe à la redécouverte des murs en pierre du château de Rochefort-en-Yvelines ! Au programme : Dégagement de la végétation envahissante et nettoyage des pierres pour révéler ce qui était enseveli depuis des années. The Rochefort-en-Yvelines castle, known as "Château Gui Le Rouge", has been listed as a historic monument since 1931. This fascinating site was a strategic fortress at the crossroads of trade routes. Bienvenue à Rochefort-en-Yvelines, un charmant village médiéval à seulement 30 minutes de Paris ! Depuis cinq ans, il accueille des chantiers internationaux bénévoles dans un cadre rural préservé. Aux alentours, de nombreux sites naturels et culturels sont à découvrir : le château médiéval de Dourdan, la maison Elsa Triolet-Aragon, la forêt de Rambouillet ou encore l’abbaye des Vaux de Cernay, sans oublier la ville de Paris ! Welcome to Rochefort-en-Yvelines, a charming medieval village just 30 minutes from Paris! For the past five years, it has hosted international volunteer workcamps in a preserved rural setting. Around the area, there are many natural and cultural sites to discover: the medieval castle of Dourdan, the Elsa Triolet-Aragon house, the Rambouillet forest, the Vaux de Cernay Abbey, and of course, the city of Paris!

Tu seras hébergé·e à la Salle des Fêtes de la commune, au sein d'une petite base de loisirs, située à une dizaine de minutes à pied du lieu de chantier. Tu pourras profiter d'un espace extérieur avec barbecue et terrain de jeux (volley, basket, foot). Tu pourras dormir à l'intérieur de la salle ou en tentes individuelles. Au-delà des temps de chantier, les volontaires participent ensemble à l’organisation de la vie collective. Souvent réparti·e·s en équipes, ils·elles élaborent les menus, participent aux courses, préparent les repas et s’assurent de la propreté des espaces communs. Véritable acteur·ice de ton expérience, tu participeras aussi à la prise de décisions concernant les activités collectives et l’organisation du quotidien ! You will be accommodated at the village hall, within a small leisure area, located about ten minutes on foot from the worksite. You can enjoy an outdoor space with a barbecue and sports fields (volleyball, basketball, football). You can sleep either inside the hall or in individual tents. Beyond the working hours, volunteers come together to organise daily life on the camp. Often divided into teams, they plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces. Fully involved in shaping your experience, you will also take part in decision-making regarding group activities and daily organization!

Le site des travaux n'est pas accessible aux fauteuils roulants. The workcamp and accomodation sites are not recommanded for wheelchairs.

La mairie de Rochefort-en-Yvelines et la Société Historique s'allient pour accueillir des bénévoles internationaux·ales chaque année. Les bénévoles de l'association sont toujours prêt·e·s à nous faire visiter les lieux emblématiques de la commune et à venir donner un coup de main sur le chantier ! The Rochefort-en-Yvelines town hall and the Historical Society join forces to host international volunteers every year. The association's volunteers are always ready to give us a tour of the village's iconic sites and lend a hand on the worksite!

Volunteers will spend mornings in various activities with the members that Association supports. There will be artistic tasks (mosaics), educational (some workshops), sports... After the lunch, together with the users, volunteers will walk in city center visiting main museums (National one, Nikola Tesla museum, Ethnographic...). Volunteers will also dedicate some time to keep the school clean. The main aim is to be there to meet the people that don't have that many opportunities for that in regular life, so the good will is really something that will help immensely!

Camp is taking place in Belgrade, just few kilometers from historic center with the good connection of free public transport (20 minutes, by bus). As one of the most ancient cities in Europe, Serbian and once-Yugoslavian capital has a lot to offer. Streets full of friendly people, galleries, caffes, museums, parks, clubs, monuments, fortress that looks at two mighty European rivers (Sava and Danube)-it is all made so that people can appreciate the Life more (to say it poetically). Many activities will be part of the project, but volunteers will also have some free-time, that they can use as it suits them. The only things that would be nice to bring with you are patience and smile, all the rest is of secondary importance!

Volunteers will be accommodated in the school dormitory for the pupils with difficulties (disabilities) in rooms with 2 or 3 beds and bathroom. Since it is a time of holidays, rooms will be empty, but some kids will be there to join the activities. Provided food will be prepared by volunteers in the dormitory's kitchen.

There are no specific requirements, but it will make your life easier if you bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia.

Association for help to the persons that need additional support (persons with some kind of disability) "Voždovac" is non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization that for goal has social inclusion of their users. They work with kids, youth and adult people that have autism, Dawn's syndrome, cerebral paralysis, etc. The intention is to be there to organize their free time, in order to make them closer to the community. Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. Voluntary Service of Serbia is a volunteer exchange service center founded in 1990 as one of the sectors of YRS.

This project will be very rich in what will be done during the stay. Firstly, volunteers will make and then position houses for birds. Also, they will prepare info-tables (boards) that will be put on some locations (local eco-center and few other important points). The stars of the project, owls, will have their winter areas arranged, since they need to do the general cleaning from time to time (luckily for them, volunteers will do that instead of themselves; what can we say-they are noblesse of the area and that oblige...the others, hehe). Arranging of the river coast, as well as some cleaning of the local beach will also take place. For the end, formation of local eco-garden in the bio-center "Green Zasavica". Can anybody wish for something more from a beautiful workcamp?

The project will be situated in the cute village of Zasavica (pronounced: "Zasavitsa"). It is typical agricultural settlement in this part of Serbia, since there are houses, taken-care-of gardens in front, big fields for different land cultures in the back. It is not big, but it has its charm. In extremely near surrounding is the "Special natural reserve of Zasavica", protected area with huge number of species of flora and fauna (Ranunculus lingua, Hottonia palustris, as well as rarer Triturus dobrogicus, to name just a few)! Also, we shouldn't forget classics like Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) and beaver (Castor fiber), which was re-introduced in 2005. into these lands after 100 years of absence. It is good to mention that the cheese made of donkey milk is being made in the reserve, so if you get the chance to taste just a piece (we will see what we can do about that), know that you will be offered with the gift of 70 euros (hehe, really, 1 kilo costs around 1300 euros at the market). Interesting can be that the village is only 12,67 (depending on location) km away from Sremska Mitrovica, once one of 4 capitals of the mighty Roman empire (together with Rome, Constantinopolis and Mediolanum-Milano; it was called Sirmium back then). There are still some remnants in city museums that remind the passenger of glorious past, although it should be said that the town itself even today looks really beautiful (it is just not that big as the rest of its imperial companions, hehe; who ever heard of Sirmium outside of Serbia, Yugoslavia and history-professors, not even them all know; well, you might now have even the chance to visit it). Fun fact-9 Roman emperors were born there. For the end, important river of Sava passes by, so numerous beaches can be visited regularly, to have some refreshment in the hot days! Needless to say really, but keep in mind that locals will be very happy to welcome you, so patience with language barriers and good mood are always nice to have!

The accommodation will be in the local bio-center and the food will be prepared from domestic ingredients (you will see, it is a very fertile zone, of what locals are very proud demonstrating their happiness and creativity in their numerous meals, to conclude-Nobody will be hungry, right the opposite, hehe).

No specific requirements needed, but it will make your life easier if you bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia. All in all, just that and smile!

Association "Rural center Owl" is an organization founded in 2014. with the goal of doing good to both, local community in the municipality of Sremska Mitrovica and to all the species, which are very present in this rural area (the accent is, you will guess, on birds, and especially one, what is its name...it is connected with wisdom...wait, wait, I have it...owl, yes, exactly, hehe). In order to achieve that they participated in many projects with countless partners from abroad and from Serbia. Their activities are usually education of youth (but not only, we can always learn something new), numerous volunteering actions of cleaning the surroundings, monitoring the birds, counting the specific ones, promoting rural tourism with respect to the local eco-system. Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. Voluntary Service of Serbia is a volunteer exchange service center founded in 1990 as one of the sectors of YRS.

This camp allows volunteers to learn about global and local environmental issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits, as well as to contribute directly to environment protection by joining outdoor cleanup tasks. These cleanup tasks may be arranged in partnership with the above mentioned organisations or run solely by SEEDS. We also aim to involve the local community, so some of our events may be open to the public. We hope participants will learn how to plan and carry out their own trash cleaning projects back at home. This project is based on similar activities around the world, where outstanding results have been achieved with volunteers. Volunteers can choose one of the two options below, included as hands-on volunteering activity in the camp:A day trip combining a visit to the Hellisheioi geothermal power plant, a trash collection in the area, and the Hot River Hike, a hike up a valley filled with hot springs where one can bathe. A day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula, combined with a coastal cleanup in the area.Please note that all activities are subject to weather conditions and the availability of our partners.This camp combines learning, sharing, hands-on work and fun. No previous experience is needed. Volunteers should prepare to share environmental issues from their countries and be ready to spend time outdoors, walking medium to long distances during the cleanups, and during other activities such as sightseeing. Since a part of the project happens outdoors, volunteers should be ready to adapt and be flexible with the work and free-time schedule. Depending on the weather, we may not be able to perform some of the activities as planned.

Reykjavik is a dynamic, modern city which lives in harmony with nature, using renewable energy sources. The world s northernmost capital bridges the Atlantic, situated between Europe and North America. Reykjavik is spread across a peninsula with a panoramic view of the mountains and the Atlantic. It is an international city with a lively cosmopolitan cultural scene surrounded by beautiful nature.

SEEDS volunteers stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. Everyone is expected to show consideration for their companions. Accommodation is in shared rooms, with up to 6 people per room. Please bring your own towel. Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Please note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

English will be the language in the camp; basic conversational skills are needed.

The Environmentally Aware and Action project is part of a series of camps organised by SEEDS in cooperation with different partners. SEEDS collaborates with the Icelandic Ministry for Environment and Natural Resources, the City of Reykjavik, and several local stakeholders on a project to clean up the Icelandic coastline. Partners include the Blue Army, an organisation dedicated to the cause of coastal cleaning, SORPA, the waste collection and management entity in the capital area, and Whales of Iceland, an exhibit showcasing life-size models of whales and porpoises to educate the public about their lives and the impact of human activity on their existence.

SEEDS volunteers will take on a variety of activities, depending on weather conditions and the needs of our partners including working in the forestry section and vegetable greenhouses in the EcoVillage, as well as participating in a nationwide project to raise awareness of ocean pollution, plastic waste, and engage the group in hands-on cleanup efforts in the area, allowing volunteers to make a direct impactThe camp is based at AlviE(ra, which offers a range of activities to connect people with nature, such as community gardens, wildlife workshops, school programs, and hikes. As part of the camp, volunteers help maintain the center through tasks like gardening, renovating the house and other projects such as removing old fences to protect wildlife, marking walking paths, and potentially do forestry work like trimming or planting trees.This camp combines learning, sharing, hands-on work and fun. No previous experience is needed. Volunteers should be prepared to share environmental issues from their home countries and be ready to spend time outdoors. Volunteers should be ready to adapt and be flexible with the work and free-time schedule. Depending on the weather, we may not be able to perform some of the activities as planned.

The accommodation is located an hour drive south-east from ReykjavEk. The house serves as an environmental-educational centre and sits under IngElfsfjall, The Mountain of IngElfur, with a view of EyjafjallajEkull where the volcanic eruptions began in March and April 2010. The place is registered as natural Icelandic heritage; the nature, vegetation and birdlife is rich in variety and quantity. The volunteers can enjoy outdoor activities in a peaceful and beautiful location with a small stream and a pond nearby. Hiking trails with maps about cultural heritage can be found throughout the area, which is a popular attraction among both foreign and local visitors. The nearest town, Selfoss, only 10 minutes-drive away, with 6500 inhabitants, is a centre of commerce and small industries where you find a geothermal swimming pool, shops, museums, cafEs and bars.

SEEDS volunteers stay in an old farm which has been transformed into an environmental education centre. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathroom, shower and a washing machine. Volunteers sleep in shared rooms, with up to 6 people per room. Please bring your own sleeping bag and towel.Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Please note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

Additional excursions (e.g. Golden Circle, the South Shore or Reykjanes Peninsula) can be arranged at discount fares depending on time availability, weather conditions, and the number of volunteers interested. Weather may be cold or rainy, so we recommend bringing warm and/or waterproof clothes.

This camp is part of SEEDS ongoing efforts to raise awareness, promote engagement in environmental issues and to support sustainability, organic and permaculture farming, social inclusion, education and hands-on actions in the field. Volunteers will gain insights into local and global challenges through non-formal educational activities such as hands-on work, visits, discussions, and workshops. SEEDS volunteers have the opportunity to participate in different projects in collaboration with Landvernd (the Icelandic Environmental Organization), the EcoVillage at SElheimar, the Icelandic Ministry for Environment and Natural Resources, Umhverfisstofnun (the Icelandic Environmental Agency) and BlEUi Herinn (the Blue Army).

Volunteers will help in preparing the local festival ("Gnezdo"-Nest fest). Mow the lawns, limit the space for guests, putting the stage, moving objects, positioning curtains, but also cleaning the riverbanks (since it will be located on the riverbank). The improvised stairs in the ground will be made, signs will be positioned, the trash bins will be made at certain locations. The volunteers will help in everything that is there to be done during the 3-day festival (giving instructions, direct people, answer the question, carry things from one side to another). At the end, they will choose the content for publishing on social media.

Kruševac is medieval capital of Serbia, built around 1371. Its name, says one legend, comes from the name of certain type of stone, with which the main part of the city is built. It has beautiful center with several objects (monuments) from the old times (primarily there is church "Lazarica"). Various monuments from different eras can be seen in the town. Bagdala is the hill above the town, so as nice picnic area, it can be visited. It is the place with very romantic view down there, so it is not strange that many couples use it as their favourite walking goal. Also, families with kids can be met there, so it makes us question isn't it just the same people that continued to attend the same place (can be). During the festival, but also outside of it, there will be many workshops, movies projections, musical performances, so the volunteers can enjoy in all of that and much more. Also, it is located at the beach, so refreshment in Rasina river can be helpful in the warm summer days. Excursion to the near mountain will probably be organized. Just bring patience and smile and the great adventure will be there!

The volunteers will be accommodated in tents on the riverbank. Tents and sleeping bags will be provided, but you can always bring your own, if you have it (for extra-comfort). In case of bad weather, some nights can be spent in the house, AKC "Gnezdo". The showers are solar, so the good schedule of who will go when should be organized. When it comes to the food, it will be prepared by volunteers in shifts with the ingredients that will be bought for them. During some occasions, cooking outside, in kettle (big casserole).

There are no specific requirements, but if you don't want too many challenges bring appropriate clothes and sun protection, as well as a good mosquito repellent.

"Fakiri sa juga" (Fakirs-faquirs from the South) is a non-governmental and non-profit association founded in Kruševac in 2017. Their work started when they took care of one ruined (abandoned) object of the local football club together with many volunteers. Now, it is AKC "Gnezdo" (alternative cultural center), a unique place where youth can express itself through performances, workshops, movie projections... The goals of this association are cultivation of new artistic expressions, informal education, mediation and creating of a dialogue, as well as supporting persons in developing their full creative potential. I partecipanti vivranno per una settimana all'interno dell'Ostello del Monte Barro, aiutando lo staff e gli altri volontari internazionali nella preparazione ultima del festival. L'evento, promosso da Legambiente Lecco, ha lo scopo di avvicinare i più giovani a progetti ispirati alla sostenibilità ambientale. Vogliamo rendere accessibile a tutti e tutte la possibilità di immaginare e realizzare insieme proposte di divertimento sostenibile, immersi nella bellezza del Parco del Monte Barro. Durante il campo si sperimenterà una vita comunitaria, svolta nel modo più sostenibile possibile: cucinando insieme e mangiando vegetale!

Collaborare con lo staff dell’ostello negli ultimi preparativi significa dare una mano in tante attività diverse: dalla creazione delle decorazioni all’allestimento degli spazi interni ed esterni, preparando le aree dedicate a workshop, market, swap party, presentazioni di libri e concerti. Inoltre, sarà importante aiutare nelle pulizie, sia prima che dopo gli eventi, per prenderci cura insieme del luogo che ci ospita. Chi ama sperimentare in cucina potrà cimentarsi nella preparazione di un piccolo menù per la giornata, da condividere con gli altri partecipanti.

Dall’inizio di Settembre 2013, grazie alla gestione di Legambiente, è possibile alloggiare presso l’Eremo del Monte Barro. Da qui è possibile godere delle bellezze di questo Parco Regionale: dalle viste mozzafiato sul Lario, sulle montagne e sui laghi briantei, alla ricchezza di storia, archeologia e biodiversità che ci regala questo ambiente naturale protetto. L’ostello, che dispone di 50 posti letto, è diviso in due parti: il settore Orchidea, con camere da 2, 3 o 4 posti tutte con bagno e doccia privato e il settore Scoiattolo, con camere da 2, 3 o 4 posti e lavandino interno alla camera, ma con bagni e docce comuni sul piano. Entrambi i settori inoltre dispongono di una cucina e una sala pranzo per la preparazione in autonomia di pasti. Quasi tutte le camere dell’ostello sono dotate di un balcone privato. Le sale comuni offrono il servizio wi-fi gratuito e zone relax. È possibile soggiornare come famiglie, singolarmente o con gruppi organizzati; vi è inoltre l’opportunità di riservare un settore (o tutta la struttura) per organizzare propri momenti di formazione o incontro.

I volontari potranno partecipare agli eventi culturali organizzati nel corso del festival.

Camere doppie e triple con bagno privato in camera. L'ostello fornisce cuscino e coperta, è necessario portare sacco a pelo o saccolenzuolo e federa, oltre tutto il necessario per la doccia.

Partecipare a questo campo di volontariato significa entrare in un'esperienza collettiva dove si lavora insieme per dare vita a un eco-festival. Non servono competenze particolari, ma tanta voglia di mettersi in gioco. Porta con te abiti comodi e che si possono sporcare, scarpe robuste: i volontari e le volontarie saranno coinvolte in attività pratiche e organizzative, sempre in un clima di collaborazione e rispetto reciproco. Ci sta a cuore la cura: degli spazi, dell’ambiente e delle persone. Per questo chiediamo attenzione alle pratiche sostenibili e disponibilità a condividere tempo, energie e idee.

Legambiente Lecco Onlus nasce originariamente nel 1978 come Comitato Difesa Ambiente ed entra a far parte nel 1988 di Legambiente, associazione ambientalista senza fini di lucro che conta a livello nazionale circa 600 circoli locali, 18 comitati regionali e oltre 100.000 soci. Legambiente imposta la propria attività su solide basi scientifiche che le hanno garantito nel tempo autorità e credibilità anche da parte delle istituzioni sia a livello locale sia a livello nazionale. Legambiente Onlus è inoltre un’associazione riconosciuta dal Ministero dell’Ambiente come Associazione d’interesse ambientale; fa parte del Bureau Européen dell’Environnement (B.E.E.) e della International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Infine è membro dal 1997 dell'Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations, organismo internazionale NGO che raggruppa le maggiori realtà associative europee che intendono promuovere l'educazione interculturale, l'integrazione e la pace attraverso il volontariato. L'obiettivo principale del gruppo è quello di lavorare per sviluppare stili di vita sostenibili in equilibrio con l'ambiente, di cui l'uomo è parte integrante. Per trasmettere i suoi valori, il circolo aderisce alle campagne nazionali di Legambiente, gestisce un eco-ostello, gestisce un progetto Piedibus per la città di Lecco, organizza progetti europei e campi di volontariato internazionali e nazionali, svolge attività di educazione ambientale nelle scuole, propone soggiorni estivi per bambini, ragazzi e anziani, offre percorsi formativi, workshop ed esperienze di sostenibilità. Dal 2013 il circolo di Legambiente Lecco ha deciso di intraprendere una nuova avventura con l’apertura dell’Ostello Parco Monte Barro, struttura in stato di semi-abbandono inserita all’interno dell’Eremo del Parco Regionale del Monte Barro (LC) che rappresenta ora una delle attività principali del circolo (www.ostelloparcobarro.it). Sempre più spesso Legambiente Lecco propone anche altri progetti attraverso cui valorizzare, in modo ambientalmente sostenibile, percorsi sul territorio a valenza turistica come i trekking ‘Eco Urban Walk’ lungo i Corridoi Blu di Lecco (Gerenzone, Caldone e Bione) e la promozione del cammino ‘Sentiero Pedemonte’ che accompagna la linea ferroviaria Como-Lecco. Oltre alle attività di valorizzazione turistica, tra le attività svolte da Legambiente Lecco si possono citare: • salvaguardia della biodiversità degli ecosistemi, in particolare quello prealpino; • campagne di protezione di specie animali a rischio (campagna salvataggio anfibi nel triangolo lariano: rospo comune Bufo Bufo); • sensibilizzazione del territorio nella gestione dei rifiuti in accordo con la normativa europea: in particolare sulla riduzione degli imballaggi, l’abbandono, l'abolizione della plastica usa e getta in favore di prodotti più sostenibili e la crescita della raccolta differenziata (clean-up estivi, campagna ‘Puliamo il Mondo’); • monitoraggio e collaborazione con le istituzioni relativamente alla salvaguardia delle coste lacustri e alla qualità delle acque (campagna ‘Spiagge e Fondali Puliti’ e ‘Goletta dei Laghi’); • rapporto con le istituzioni su tematiche quali consumo di suolo e salvaguardia degli ecosistemi (eventi sulla salvaguardia delle aree umide, campagna ‘Carovana dei ghiacciai’); • promozione della legalità e lotta (in rete con altre associazioni del territorio) alle ecomafie; • sviluppo di progettualità in merito alla lotta agli sprechi, soprattutto di carattere alimentare (progetto "Mercato Sprecato") e adesione alla rete ‘Save The Food’; • proposta di eventi culturali e percorsi formativi centrati sulla tematica multiforme della sostenibilità (Hack4Tourism, FestAmbiente Monte Barro); • partecipazione a manifestazioni ed eventi su temi propri dell’associazione (PreCop26 a Milano, Pride a Lecco, Youth Climate Meeting nazionali e regionali); A queste sono da aggiungere le attività sviluppate dagli operatori di Legambiente Lecco: • gestione del Servizio Piedibus per la Città di Lecco e, in collaborazione con il Comune di Lecco e la Fondazione Bruno Kessler, di diverse altre campagne di mobilità sostenibile (KidsGoGreen, Play&Go…); • coordinamento e organizzazione di progetti di volontariato a breve e lungo termine (campi di volontariato internazionali e nazionali, scambi di giovani del programma Erasmus+, Servizio Civile, Corpi Europei di Solidarietà); • sviluppo di progettualità europea legata alle tematiche associative; • educazione ambientale nelle scuole (primarie, secondarie di primo grado, secondarie di secondo grado) e realizzazione di soggiorni estivi di educazione ambientale per bambini tra gli 8 e i 13 anni (Vacanze Natura); • organizzazione di incontri formali, escursioni e dibattiti volti alla formazione ambientale dei cittadini; • organizzazione di giornate di mobilitazione, campagne di sensibilizzazione ed eventi divulgativi; • gestione e preservazione di aree naturali, oasi protette e zone ad interesse paesaggistico e ambientale (manutenzione ambientale dell’area naturale Palude di Brivio e valorizzazione della ZPS Il Toffo). L’associazione è composta attualmente da 8 membri del consiglio direttivo, una ventina di soci attivi e circa 200 soci annuali. A questi si aggiungono un numero di volontari abituali delle iniziative che non sono però associati. Energize the community of Villarroya through the recovery of its heritage and the participation of both national and foreign youth. 1. Carry out an archaeological excavation in the Celtiberian site of the munici-pality. At the top of the municipality is the old town from the 5th century BC. Led by professional archaeologists, the excavations and collection of materials found will be carried out. 2. Leisure activities will take place in the municipality itself and with views of nearby mu-nicipalities. Traditional games: With a monitor you will learn about the traditional games of Spain such as bowling, frog, carcanon... This workshop is carried out by a cultural association fed-erated to traditional sports. Aromatic plants workshop. They will explain to us the properties of the plants in the ar-ea and how they were used. Laundry, the cleaning of clothes will be carried out in the traditional way. We hope to have the older women to explain it to us. Celtiberian sewing workshop: the artisan who designs the costumes for the historical recreations will explain her work to us and we will do some action with her. Spanish cooking workshop: With the direction of the chef we will learn to make typical Spanish meals. Potato omelette, tapas, paella, migas, ranch... (we will take into account if there are vegan people to adapt the workshop) Visit to Daroca: Mediaveal city that is the administrative capital of the Region. Guided tours will be made. Visit to the town: Guided tour of our municipality. In addition to the town we have paint-ings in our church by a leading Renaissance artist Bartolome Bermejo. Games with the children of the town: We will prepare games for the children of the town.

The municipal pavilion will be adapted, and only participants will have access to it. There will be separation by sex/gender. Rooms will be organized for 5 people, separated by car-dboard walls. There are 2 showers and 2 bathrooms, with access to Wi-Fi and power outlets. It is located in the municipality, which was highly valued by participants in 2024. A sleeping bag and bottom sheet are required. An eye mask is recommended. Meals are provided at the Social Club of Villarroya del Campo. Last year, the IAJ techni-cians visited and were able to check the kitchen and the space reserved for the youth. Breakfast: Buffet with milk, juice, or coffee accompanied by cold cuts, fruit, and pastries. Lunch and Dinner: Variety of options available, including vegan/vegetarian or halal/kosher diets. There will be a first course, a second course, and dessert. On weekends, typical local dishes will be prepared, and participants will be taught how to cook them. Snack and Afternoon Tea: This will consist of fruit and/or sandwiches. On weekends, there will be a tasting of tapas. *On days that coincide with excursions or trips for the partici-pants, sandwiches will be prepared.

El Botear Association. Cultural association that develops sociocultural activities in Villarroya del Campo. She is responsible for the development of the Celtiberian Days. We are made up of citizens of Villarroya who want to energize our municipality. Botear has the support of the Villarroya City Council and the Campo de Daroca Region with which it schedules its annual activities agenda. In 2024 it was decided to hold an international volunteer camp. The experience was very positive for both the town and the young people who came. That experience has allowed us to want to do it again this year and be able to improve last year's shortcomings and take advantage of the positive points.

Come to our camp if you feel that… Thanks to archaeology, the remains of our cultural ancestors can be found, studied and understood. You do not need experience to participate in “Paper Road”. You will work with an archaeologist and historian. The volunteer camp takes place at the foot of the mountain, in the Paular valley, a place historically linked to the Los Batanes estate as a model of industrial development such as the use of different hydraulic devices to take advantage of water energy. This is where the galley proofs with which the first edition of Don Quixote was published were produced. Why participate in our field? In “Camino de Papel”, participants will carry out a series of specific archaeological activities in different locations with the aim of discovering archaeological remains based on previous research. For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a special vacation, meeting people from other regions and countries. Tasks specific to the field of volunteering  Clearing and cleaning of existing vegetation , both inside and outside and around the perimeter of archaeological structures.  Manual cleaning and scraping of construction parts (walls, floors, etc.) , removing vegetation that is harmful to architectural elements. If archaeological objects are found, they will be collected, documented and stored for later study.  Excavate certain structures using archaeological methodology , developing strict stratigraphic documentation of the levels of deposition and the construction units that may exist in the subsoil. In this process, all archaeological material will be collected. An archaeological survey is also planned.  Register all archaeological material collected for research and subsequent storage in the Regional Archaeological Museum of the Community of Madrid, as established by current legislation.

Volunteering is not just about working, as you will have the opportunity to enjoy leisure and free time activities: sports, cultural activities, excursions to places of tourist interest and workshops related to the theme of the field.

Gönüllü Hizmetler Derneği-Childhood Dreams program, organized for children between the ages of 10-14 with limited access, is a social content and child-themed workcamp. A volunteer team consisting of foreign and Turkish volunteers will run a 1-week camp program with children living in village. The program content, activities to be done with the children and the organization of the volunteer team will be planned by the Childhood Dreams camp leader. The camp has been running successfully since 2009 with the same theme.

The camp will be held in Kahramanmaraş (city), Göksun (district), Fındık (village). Local trips will be organized as a leisure activity.

Accommodation will be in flats. There are 2 separate flats for volunteers, for male and female. There will be 4 international volunteers, 4 national volunteers and 1 camp leader in the camp. 3 meals a day will be provided to the volunteers by the people who is living in the village.

The acceptance phase is a 2-step process. As a first step, CVs and motivation letters will be requested from volunteers and as a second step volunteers will be interviewed via Zoom / Google Meet. Experience working with children are preferred.

Adatepe Women’s Cooperative is a social enterprise founded by women living in the village of Fındık in the Göksun district of Kahramanmaraş province. The cooperative, founded in 2024, aims to produce food products specific to this region by women living here and convey them to other provinces in Turkey.

This work camp will focus on the environmental recovery of the coast from the As Sinas beach to the port of Vilanova de Arousa, passing through the O Bao beach, the A Brana beach, the Illa de A Insuinha and the area of rafts (floating nurseries that consist of two parts: the surface, normally rectangular in shape and built with eucalyptus wood crossbars with floats, and the submerged one, made up of ropes where the mussels adhere) from Vilanova. ROV-type drones will be hired to locate and guide the search for polluting, plastic waste and other defects from human action to continue cleaning or cleaning up our environment, in this case also the funds. This work camp will focus on the environmental recovery of the sea coast.

Vilanova de Arousa is a small coastal municipality located to the west of the Salnes community, in the province of Pontevedra. It is located 30km from the capital of the province, Pontevedra. Leisure: - Nautical and nature activities such as: snorkeling, kayaking, bodyboard, paddlesurf, hiking, archery, etc. - Visits and excursions: Museo do Mar de O Grove, Siradella interpretation center (Umia-Illa de Ons intertidal zone), visit to the fishing and marina ports of Vilanova de Arousa. - Workshops

Located in the Savoie department, Valloire is made up of 17 hamlets in the Maurienne massif, near the Italian border. The village sits at an altitude of 1,400 meters, ideal for mountain lovers. For hikers, marked trails await, including one to Lac des Cerces, offering breathtaking views. Nearby lakes provide swimming areas to cool off during hot summer days. History buffs can explore landmarks such as the Fort du Télégraphe, a military structure, or the Baroque-style Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Church, a historical monument. On the culinary side, don’t miss Savoyard cheeses, a staple of the region. The resort also offers sports and cultural facilities, including a swimming pool, cinema, media library, and local shops.

You will stay in individual tents at a campsite in Valloire, with access to restrooms and showers. The tents will be provided by Concordia. The municipality will provide a section of the community hall, located less than 200 meters from the campsite, where we will set up a kitchen and communal area for group activities and shelter in case of bad weather. Participants will take turns organizing communal life (cleaning, activities, etc.) and preparing meals using locally sourced products when possible. We will promote a vegetarian diet with local, seasonal foods, while respecting dietary preferences and introducing regional cuisine (mainly vegetarian meals). Free Wi-Fi is available in certain areas of the resort and at the campsite. The campsite also has a washing machine.

Remember to submit your Medical Factsheet and Parental Authorization at least one month before the start of the camp. Foreigners that are part of the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If there are health issues on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will be reimbursed once back in their home country.”

Since 2022, Valloire has partnered with Concordia to organize international volunteer camps, based on shared values: solidarity, civic engagement, and heritage preservation. After the success of the first three editions, we are excited to invite you to join this fourth camp, designed as a shared learning experience. Beyond physical work, you will engage in discussions about the future of mountain resorts in the face of climate change. Valloire is exploring its future development, and along with Concordia, you will contribute to conversations on ecological transition and mountain tourism.

The aim of this work camp is to help organise the festival by joining the team of volunteers and organisers. As part of a team of volunteers, most of whom are villagers, you'll be helping to set up the site, putting up fences and tents, etc. During the festival, you'll also have the opportunity to attend conferences and welcome visitors. You'll need to speak French to share your time with the public and the organisers. You will work 5 to 6 hours a day, spread over the duration of the stay, in liaison with the festival coordination team.

One of the aims of this workcamp will be to exchange ideas with young people from the village of Couthures, who are themselves involved in organising the festival. An excellent opportunity to discover the charms of the Lot-et-Garonne, such as the town of Marmande and its many activities and festivities: the tomato capital is ready to welcome you and to unveil its charms, such as the Parc de la Filhole (where the Garorock festival takes place), where you can swim in the river Garonne or take advantage of its nature area. The city is well worth a visit, as are the surrounding communes, such as the Garonne hillsides, its vineyards and wines, and the Canal Lateral. The locals will be delighted to welcome you into their homes for a meal or a chance to chat and discover the region.

You will sleep in 2-person tents, depending on gender. You will need to bring your own warm duvet and pillow, and we will provide air mattresses. Meals will be prepared in turn by you, in particular for lunch and dinner, while respecting environmental values and local resources, as well as everyone's culture (hot and cold dishes, including options for vegetarians and vegans, will be prepared). Meals during the festival will be provided by the organisers.

After the resounding success of the first project, the adventure continues! Over the course of a weekend, the International Journalism Festival transforms the small village of Couthures-sur-Garonne (and its 300 inhabitants) into a veritable crossroads for meetings and debates. Workshops, live shows, and screenings bring the village to life around a central theme: news and journalism. At the heart of the event, the international workcamp will enrich the experience with an intercultural dynamic that encourages artistic and intergenerational exchanges. Sponsored by the Le Monde group, this festival, set in an exceptional natural setting, combines reflection, sharing and conviviality.

Dal 2017 Legambiente e Diversamente Marinai sono impegnati nella campagna “Vele Spiegate”. In questo contesto Diversamente Marinai propone campi di volontariato in barca a vela di una settimana nell'Arcipelago Toscano. Il progetto prevede la pulizia delle spiagge poco accessibili via terra, il monitoraggio dei rifiuti, il monitoraggio e il controllo delle tracce delle tartarughe marine Caretta Caretta, inoltre andremo alla scoperta dei sentieri che incontreremo nelle insenature dove ci fermeremo e mapperemo quelli che non sono presenti sulle carte. Il progetto mira alla conoscenza del mare attraverso la navigazione e alla creazione di team affiatati e motivati. Per questo i partecipanti impareranno la marineria antica e a farsi equipaggio a bordo di un ketch a vela del 1922. Inoltre, saranno formati sulle principali linee guida in termini di sostenibilità ambientale della fruizione del mare. Non ci può essere vera salvaguardia dell’ambiente senza saper apprezzare il paesaggio naturale. Il campo di lavoro vuole realizzare interventi concreti per migliorare la qualità ambientale mostrando all'equipaggio come vivere sul mare e con il mare sia un’esperienza indimenticabile. Le attività del campo sono arricchite dalla pratica quotidiana della riduzione degli sprechi che la vita di bordo comporta e dalla possibilità di spostarsi utilizzando prevalentemente il vento. Vele Spiegate è un progetto inserito nella Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenibile del Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscano per il periodo 2021-2025. Didattica della vela e la vita di bordo: l’attività prevede un corso di primo livello di navigazione a vela e conduzione di un’imbarcazione storica, attraverso la sperimentazione diretta delle nozioni acquisite. Pulizia e monitoraggio delle spiagge accessibili solo dal mare: il progetto prevede la pulizia di alcune spiagge difficilmente accessibili via terra, attraverso la rimozione dei rifiuti. In tale occasione saranno anche monitorati i rifiuti attraverso la tecnica del Beach litter riportando dati e riflessioni su appositi moduli, fornendo dati che saranno utilizzati per scopi scientifici. Ricerca e monitoraggio delle tracce della tartaruga Caretta caretta: i partecipanti impareranno a riconoscere le tracce della tartaruga e saranno impegnati anche nella ricerca delle stesse e nella sensibilizzazione di cittadini e turisti. Mappatura sentieri: verrà monitorato lo stato dei sentieri che collegano le principali vie sentieristiche dell’isola alle spiagge e insenature, raggiungibili prevalentemente a piedi, e presso le quali faremo sosta con la nostra imbarcazione; e eventuale pulizia o segnalazione delle criticità riscontrate

L'Arcipelago toscano è formato da un gruppo di sette isole maggiori, di cui la più grande è l'isola d'Elba, più alcune minori, secche e scogli situati tra la terraferma toscana e la Corsica. L'arcipelago è bagnato da quattro mari: il mar Ligure a nord dell'isola d'Elba, il canale di Piombino a est, il mar Tirreno a sud e il canale di Corsica a ovest delle coste elbane. Il canale di Corsica e il canale di Piombino possono essere considerati come canali naturali di collegamento tra il mar Ligure e il mar Tirreno, rispettivamente a ovest e ad est dell'isola d'Elba. Acquisizione delle conoscenze veliche di base per la conduzione di un’imbarcazione in sicurezza. Acquisizione delle conoscenze di base di marineria storica. Incremento della conoscenza di alcuni ambienti naturali dell’Arcipelago Toscano e della sua biodiversità. Apprendimento relativo alle emergenze ecologiche dell’ecosistema marino e costiero e correlazione con le abitudini di consumo e trattamento dei rifiuti. Attività formative di base volte al riconoscimento delle tracce della tartaruga marina (Caretta Caretta).

I partecipanti alloggeranno su un ketch a vela in legno del 1922 di 16,5 metri. I pasti verranno preparati in barca e si seguirà un'alimentazione prevalentemente vegetariana.

Spirito di adattamento e amore per il mare. Per un comfort ideale, non essere alti più di 1,85 mt.

L’A.S.D. Diversamente Marinai è stata fondata nel 2011 ed ha come obiettivo principale quello di rendere accessibile il mondo della vela e della navigazione a tutti, integrando le marginalità sociali e le disabilità. Nel corso di questi anni ha promosso diverse iniziative, collaborando con la Regione Toscana e il Progetto GiovaniSì con associazioni locali e nazionali. Legate al territorio dell’Isola d’Elba le rotte percorse dalle nostre imbarcazioni hanno solcato l’Arcipelago Toscano portando nei porti equipaggi misti, progetti scolastici e percorsi di trekking ambientale.

Swimtrekking significa letteralmente trekking a nuoto: è un modo originale per vivere e sentire l’ambiente, un viaggio in mare con maschera, boccaglio, pinne, muta, portando con sé tutto il necessario per l’escursione in un piccolo scafo in vetroresina da trainare: il barkino. I campi Swimtrekking si pongono l’obiettivo di proporre un’attività in mare che, attraverso l’escursionismo e l’esplorazione, consenta ai partecipanti di maturare un’esperienza autentica di confronto sulle tematiche della tutela e della salvaguardia dell’ambiente marino, anche e soprattutto attraverso la conoscenza della flora e della fauna. Attraverso la guida di istruttori qualificati, i volontari esploreranno e monitoreranno i fondali marini (dalla superfice del mare) e i tratti costieri contribuendo alla raccolta dati su noci di mare, meduse, delfini e tartarughe attraverso l’applicazione AVVISTAPP (sviluppata e gestita dall’OGS di Trieste). Inoltre, verranno recuperati i rifiuti in mare e lungo la costa che saranno poi utilizzati per la realizzazione di opere artistiche che saranno fotografate, smaltite e, ove possibile, differenziate. Si ricorda che tutti gli istruttori della ASD Swimtrekking hanno una formazione specifica per guidare e seguire le varie fasi di un campo Swimtrekking abbracciando le compe-tenze tecniche della disciplina, conoscenze di biologia marina e di recupero e riciclaggio artistico dei rifiuti.

Le volontarie e i volontari recupereranno i rifiuti dal mare durante le nuotate lungo costa e li trasporteranno a riva. Al termine delle attività in acqua si progetteranno e realizzeranno delle opere artistiche, utilizzando solo i materiali recuperati dal mare e dalle coste. I rifiuti saranno assemblati dando sfogo alla fantasia per produrre nuove forme che raccontano l’esperienza vissuta in mare. Il lavoro artistico verrà poi documentato attraverso foto e video. Al termine dell’attività, le opere verranno smaltite seguendo le normative locali di raccolta differenziata. I volontari svolgeranno inoltre le attività di Marine and Beach Litter indagine sulla quantità e tipologia di rifiuti raccolti in mare e sulle spiagge raggiunte durante le escursioni, al fine di contribuire alla Direttiva Europea sulla Marine Strategy. A fine campo sarà realizzato un video con tutti i contenuti delle attività svolte e consegnato ai partecipanti (munirsi di penna USB). Altro aspetto fondamentale del campo sarà il censimento di specie marine e delle meduse. L’OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale proseguirà la collaborazione con Swimtrekking in un progetto Citizen Science estendendo per il 2025 la raccolta di informazioni su ogni avvistamento di meduse, tartarughe di mare, noci di mare e delfini.

Punta Ala è una località costiera situata in Toscana, nel comune di Castiglione della Pescaia, nella provincia di Grosseto. È caratterizzata da un territorio collinare che si affaccia su una spiaggia sabbiosa e ben curata. La località è circondata da una vegetazione tipicamente mediterranea, con pinete e macchia mediterranea che conferiscono un'atmosfera naturale e incontaminata. La zona è anche vicina a importanti aree protette come il Parco Naturale della Maremma, che offre un habitat ricco di biodiversità. Il paesaggio di Punta Ala è davvero suggestivo. Le acque cristalline del mare sono perfette per attività come nuoto, snorkeling e vela. La spiaggia è ben attrezzata e offre numerosi servizi per i turisti. L'area circostante è ideale per escursioni a piedi o in bicicletta, grazie ai sentieri che si snodano tra le colline e le pinete. Inoltre, la fauna locale include diverse specie di uccelli e animali marini, rendendola un luogo affascinante per gli amanti della natura. Punta Ala ha una storia ricca e affascinante. Originariamente, l'area era abitata dagli Etruschi, seguiti dai Romani, che sfruttarono la posizione strategica del territorio. Nel corso dei secoli, Punta Ala ha visto l'insediamento di diverse popolazioni e la costruzione di fortificazioni per difendersi dalle invasioni piratesche nel Medioevo. Un importante punto di riferimento storico è il Castello di Punta Ala, costruito nel XVI secolo per proteggere la costa. Nel XIX secolo, Punta Ala divenne una meta ambita per nobili e aristocratici, contribuendo alla sua fama come località turistica esclusiva. Oggi, Punta Ala è conosciuta non solo per le sue bellezze naturali ma anche per le sue strutture turistiche di alta qualità.

I volontari, adeguatamente informati in merito a flora e fauna marina avranno il compito di censire, catalogare e studiare i comportamenti delle meduse, noci di mare, tartarughe e delfini incontrate durante le attività di esplorazione lungo costa. I volontari seguiranno inoltre le direttive tema dei progetti Marine and Beach Litter per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturalistico

Il Punta Ala Camp & Resort si estende all’interno di una pineta mediterranea. Il campeggio è una struttura turistica all’aria aperta che adesso occupa ben ventisette ettari ed è un vero e proprio “parco vacanze” dalle polivalenti opportunità di servizi e ospitalità particolarmente attenta e sensibile al tema dell’eco-turismo e alla tematica ambientale. Il Campeggio Punta Ala opera per ricreare un “natural lifestyle”, approccio riconosciuto e premiato da organizzazioni ambientali nazionali e internazionali. I volontari sistemeranno le tende, fornite dalla ASD Swimtrekking, in un’area a loro riservata attrezzata con cucina da campo, le docce ed i servizi igienici in condivisione con gli altri campeggiatori. I volontari dovranno munirsi di sacco a pelo, materassi-no ed eventualmente cuscino. Per quanto riguarda i pasti, la prima colazione e la cena saranno organizzate sempre nell’area riservata del campeggio (vicino alle tende). I responsabili del campo e i/le partecipanti organizzeranno i pasti su base self-catering. Per il pranzo sarà preparato un pasto al sacco che verrà riposto nei barkini e trasportato durante l’attività in mare fino alla località prevista per la pausa pranzo.

L’attività dello Swimtrekking migliora la propria tecnica individuale nel nuoto, sviluppa l’autocontrollo e la conoscenza di sé e di una serie di tecniche quali l’apnea e il salvamento, studia la flora e la fauna, il moto ondoso, i venti e le correnti, rafforza e accresce le dinamiche del gruppo. Sarà quindi fondamentale che tutti i volontari sappiano nuotare i due stili principali: lo stile libero e lo stile dorso. Specifichiamo inoltre che non sono assolutamente importanti i tempi di percorrenza e la tecnica indi-viduale ma una certa abitudine all’attività fisica. Si richiede quindi una certa consuetudine con l’attività spor-tiva di qualsiasi genere sia pur blanda. Le persone molto sedentarie non sono adatte a questo tipo di espe-rienza. Chiunque può quindi affrontare in maniera positiva l’esperienza di un campo Swimtrekking se interessato a sperimentare le conoscenze da noi proposte.

La ASD Swimtrekking è un’associazione sportiva dilettantistica affiliata alla UISP che da 30 anni organizza il trekking a nuoto in varie località del Mar Mediterraneo e del mondo. L’attività dello Swimtrekking nasce con l’intento di esplorare e monitorare l’ambiente marino e si sostanzia nella realizzazione di corsi e stage, sia in piscina che in mare, le cui tematiche spaziano dalla tecnica dello Swimtrekking e dell’allenamento agli aspetti teorici e pratici della sicurezza in mare, della conoscenza della flora e della fauna, della tutela e salvaguardia dell'habitat marino, dello studio e della conoscenza dei venti, delle correnti e delle condizioni meteo-marine esclusivamente in funzione dell’attività stessa che porta. Le attività Swimtrekking coinvolgono bambini, adolescenti, famiglie, adulti e diversamente abili e seguono un progetto ambientale e sociale condotto da un team di educatori e tecnici del settore.

The school was founded in 2016 and the pupils’ enrolment is 444 pupils, 226 boys and 218 girls. The school has 15 teachers teaching right from the early childhood education, primary school and junior primary school. The school has six permanent and four semi-permanent classrooms, staffroom and an administration block. The school is located on 0.9 acres that has adequate room for expansion. It is located in a densely populated area in Vihiga county of Western Kenya, an area that receives rainfall throughout the year and hence the local community members are food sufficient as the communal land is utilized for small-scale agriculture that is the foremost economic driver of the people at the grassroots

I campi di volontariato si svolgono nella spiaggia dell’Isola dei Conigli, zona A di Riserva Naturale e sito di deposizione della tartaruga marina Caretta caretta. I campi hanno una duplice finalità: contribuire alla tutela della spiaggia, intensamente frequentata a fini balneari, in modo da garantire le condizioni ambientali idonee all’ovodeposizione di Caretta caretta, controllando l’impatto antropico sul sito; sorvegliare e proteggere i nidi di Caretta caretta, dalla deposizione alla schiusa. Questi campi sono una grande occasione per quanti, appassionati della natura, vogliono prendersene cura svolgendo attività utili ed entusiasmanti, in uno dei luoghi più belli di Lampedusa e del Mediterraneo, meritevole di essere salvaguardato per la sua bellezza e per la sua grande importanza naturalistica.

Il campo prevede lo svolgimento di turni giornalieri di 6 ore circa e, all’occorrenza, turni notturni di 8–10 ore. I turni giornalieri sono finalizzati al controllo della balneazione, mediante sorveglianza ed attività di informazione e sensibilizzazione dei bagnanti, in modo da far rispettare i regolamenti vigenti nella riserva. Dalle 8 alle 20.00 i volontari si alterneranno per coprire due postazioni fisse: una all'ingresso della Riserva e una sulla spiaggia. All'ingresso, i volontari forniranno informazioni ai visitatori e forniranno supporto agli operatori nelle attività di controllo degli accessi alla spiaggia. In spiaggia, i volontari sorveglieranno gli eventuali nidi deposti, saranno punto di riferimento per quanti vogliono conoscere la biologia riproduttiva di Caretta caretta e svolgeranno attività di sensibilizzazione nei confronti dei turisti (inviteranno al rispetto delle norme comportamentali da osservare, effettueranno la pulizia dell’arenile, ecc.). I volontari, inoltre, collaboreranno nelle attività di rilevamento dei dati sulla fruizione e saranno di sostegno agli operatori della riserva per il rilevamento dei dati sui nidi di tartaruga e sui piccoli. I turni notturni si svolgeranno presso la struttura ubicata all'ingresso della riserva e sono finalizzati ad impedire l’accesso in spiaggia di eventuali visitatori durante la notte, che potrebbero pregiudicare gli eventi di nidificazione della tartaruga. Durante le schiuse dei nidi i turni notturni si svolgeranno in spiaggia. I volontari parteciperanno anche alle attività di salvaguardia e sorveglianza (diurna e notturna) di eventuali nidi deposti in altre spiagge dell’isola che rientrano nelle competenze dell'Ente Gestore della Riserva. I volontari, a turno, si occuperanno anche della preparazione dei pasti e della pulizia dell’alloggio.

Molto più vicina all’Africa che alla Sicilia, Lampedusa appartiene all’Arcipelago delle Pelagie. Nel 1996 la Regione Siciliana ha istituito la Riserva Naturale “Isola di Lampedusa”, gestita da Legambiente Sicilia. L’area protetta si estende per circa 360 ettari lungo un’ampia fascia incontaminata della costa meridionale dell’isola ed è finalizzata alla conservazione delle espressioni più significative della fauna e della flora presenti sul territorio. La spiaggia dei Conigli è stata per anni oggetto di ogni forma di abuso e degrado, ma grazie agli interventi di recupero ambientale, controllo e sensibilizzazione dell’Ente Gestore oggi è un modello di gestione e promozione di un turismo sostenibile, che ha saputo coniugare conservazione della natura con la fruizione del territorio. I volontari troveranno un responsabile al Porto o Aeroporto di Lampedusa. null

All’inizio di ogni campo i volontari parteciperanno ad un incontro formativo presso la sede della Riserva (tenuto dal personale della Riserva), durante il quale verranno fornite le principali informazioni sull’area protetta (storia, caratteristiche, regolamento, ecc.), sulla biologia della tartaruga marina e sulle attività che si svolgeranno durante il campo.

I volontari saranno ospitati in un appartamento ubicato in centro.

Il campo è particolarmente impegnativo, poiché prevede una turnazione continua per garantire il controllo del sito h24. Buona attitudine a camminare; buone condizioni fisiche, capacità di svolgere le attività anche con particolari condizioni climatiche (essere in grado di trascorrere diverse ore sotto il sole, ma anche in presenza di vento, umidità, pioggia, zanzare…).

Il Circolo Legambiente Esther Ada nasce a Lampedusa nel 2011 ed è principalmente coinvolto nell'organizzazione delle campagne nazionali di Legambiente e nella realizzazione di progetti relativi a problematiche di carattere ambientale e sociale. In collaborazione con la Riserva Naturale “Isola di Lampedusa” propone attività di educazione ambientale agli studenti delle scuole dell’isola e si occupa dell’organizzazione dei campi di volontariato per la tutela della Spiaggia dei Conigli, sito di deposizione della tartaruga marina Caretta caretta.

• Shining Star ECDC and Orphans School is located in Migori County, Nyatike Sub-county, Muhuru division, Muhuru -East location in Tagache Sub-location, along Muhuru-Migori road. • The School was founded in 1999 by Mr. Hevrone Killmess Mairah due to lack of access to educational institutions in the area due to its remote setting, challenges posed by orphans the majority of whose parents are ravaged by HIV/AIDS pandemic and the high illiteracy levels within the community coupled high unemployment. • In 2000, the school had a good number of children and 3 teachers and the community enjoyed the being of Shining Star. • In 2001 the school was temporarily closed due to the conflict within the local community until 2002 when this was resolved and the community agreed to host the School at the local Church due to lack of classroom buildings. • 2003 the land was bought and demarcation done. • In 2005 the first classroom was built by a volunteer called Steffi Rahn a 19-year old from SCI-Germany. • 2009 started hosting volunteers from KVDA courtesy of the Germany Government sponsored program “Weltwaerts” that afforded young Germans an opportunity to volunteer in Kenya for the duration of one year. • 2011 Shining Star was registered with the Kenyan Government as a learning institution. • 2012 started building dormitory for both orphans and those having parents with the help of former KVDA volunteer from Germany named Daniel, which structure has since been completed. • 2013 the School started goat farming and poultry farming that is still underway. It also set aside space for an orphanage home and new toilets that are already finished. • There are more plans in the pipeline e.g. Agriculture, Business loaning for the widows and youths, competitive sports between local clubs and the School where trophies, balls and other gifts will be awarded to the participating teams • The School has a population of over 360 children, 11 teachers and 5 support staff. • The School has classes from Kindergarten to Standard eight. • Shining Star ECDC and Orphans School is a community based education institution and caters for the needs of the orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) that had been rendered destitute. • Fishing is the mainstay of the local community thanks to the expansive Lake Victoria. • Due to the easy cash courtesy of the Lake, young people have been lured to drop out of School to engage in fishing and this has negatively impacted on the community since it has resulted in early marriages, school drop outs, early and unplanned pregnancies not forgetting the spread of HIV/AIDS that has resulted in increased number of OVC’s in the community. • Community empowerment is crucial in achieving the overall objective of attaining sustainable development. Project activities • Early childhood development; basic primary school education; • This year 2015, the School has launched the secondary school section with the first students’ intake launched in February 2015. • Care and support orphans and vulnerable Children and HIV/AIDS families; • Enhancement of community empowerment trainings; ICT promotion and development in the local area and capacity building for community based organizations.

You will be staying in a building in the town, near to the city centre and shopping facilities. On site are a kitchen, shower, toilets, and a common room; one of the rooms will be converted into a dormitory. Our association is a living space that welcomes people from all walks of life every year. In 2023, this space for learning and experimentation inaugurated an associative canteen called ?Au bout du monde?. This project will involve continuing work to improve the outside entrance, so that visitors feel welcome and can easily find their way around. You'll be able to learn traditional masonry techniques for around 4 hours each morning. You'll take it in turns to help out with everyday tasks, including cooking, tending the garden and cleaning communal areas.

Afternoons and weekends will be devoted to leisure activities. You'll work with the activity leaders to organize and propose activities. Some activities are a must: visiting Besancon, team sports, all kinds of fun activities...

You'll be accommodated in our association's park, where we'll set up large collective tents (8 to 16 places). You'll sleep in a bunk bed. Bring a good comforter and your pillow! You'll have access to the house showers and toilets. There are also dry toilets outside. The site is equipped with a professional kitchen. Accompanied by the animators, your group will take turns preparing meals each day. At Beaumotte, we eat meat twice a week, and wifi access is limited in certain rooms of the house. There's no washing machine, so you'll need to bring your own washing powder and clothes for 15 days!
