l progetto ha lo scopo di valorizzare Le Balze, sono dei Calanchi naturali creati dall'azione corrosiva delle acque di un lago del Pliocenico, quando tutto il Valdarno era un lago appunto e il fiume Arno ancora non esisteva. Questa parte di territorio toscano, caratterizzato da guglie, piccoli canyon, immersi in una fitta vegetazione di tipo appenninico. In collaborazione con le associazioni di promozione locali, i gruppi trekking , il museo paleontologico, l'associazione Protezione Civile di Montevarchi, il Circolo di Legambiente, vuole promuovere un lavoro di manutenzione e sistemazione della sentieristica per favorire la conoscenza del territorio con un turismo lento di rispetto dei luoghi per la conoscenza di angoli che altrimenti non sarebbero visitati. Tutelare insomma l’ecosistema di questa area naturale sotto il profilo ambientale e culturale, attraverso la valorizzazione dell’aspetto storico-geologico, caratterizzato da una particolare conformazione geomorfologica che genera un tipico sistema paesaggistico di pregio. Il Campo si concluderà con la partecipazione volontaria e gratuita alla "Camminata per la Setteponti" che si svolgerà dal 13 al 15 giugno, con partenza dalla Pieve Romanica di Cascia a Reggello fino a Ponte Buriano , dove l’Arno “gira le spalle” ad Arezzo. Promuove iniziative per la valorizzazione del territorio; siamo impegnati nel contrasto delle ecomafie, interventi di educazione ambientale nelle scuole superiori; organizziamo iniziative concrete per Puliamo il Mondo e Festa dell'Albero. Il circolo è impegnato in un’azione di monitoraggio e valorizzazione delle esperienze innovative per favorire la costituzione delle C.E.R. Progetto di Citizen Scienze con UniSi, di monitoraggio della qualità dell'acqua dell'Arno e dei suoi affluenti. Lo stesso progetto si è sviluppato con un’esperienza di educazione ambientale per la scuole superiori “Oroblu. La Cultura dell’acqua tra ambiente e legalità”. Abbiamo anche organizzato un campo di volontariato di formazione e studio in Calabria nelle cooperativa Libera Terra, e la scorsa estate abbiamo organizzato due Campi di Volontariato: "Sua Maestà il Pratomagno e "Un lago, una storia, una miniera"

ProgramCamp program includes team projects, discussions at the round table, social and sport games, performances in the open air, actions for peace and nature protection, meetings with people, visits to museums and sightseeing as well as presentations of the countries that camp participants and volunteers represent, etc. Every day the camp will have a country presentation, a subject to learn or discuss and a related activity. Teenagers will stay in the camp activities zone from 10:00 to 17:00. There will be one day off in the camp and at least one day of travel outside Tallinn. The day off is spent either under the leadership of a member of the school staff or in the host family. Camp activities will take place in the premises of the language school that is situated in the very centre of the city. To activate teenagers and run the program, there will be a group of international volunteers and members of the local school staff. Longer camp shifts include one trip outside Tallinn.

AccommodationThere are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the beginning of the camp):1) In the premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the camp participants accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Apart from bedrooms, the tea-room for rest will be also organized where teenagers might watch films, read and play board games enjoying soft sofas. Bed linen, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, minimum one school staff member and one volunteer will be staying with camp participants overnights to maintain life, catering and general order on the site. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that you must be inside by 22:00 the latest unless supervised outside by a school staff member. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners at school, lunches i together with other camp participants.2) In the host families of some of local participants who will join this camp. The apartments of the host families may be located in Tallinn or its suburbs. Participants will stay in a separate or shared room. You do NOT need a sleeping bag. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners in their host families, lunches i together with other camp participants in the city. Travel cards will be provided, pick up service at arrival is provided upon request.Please note: it is not possible to stay at any of the camp accommodation options before or after the camp arrival and departure days. Special requirementsWe will welcome any ideas to improve the program and your active participation in it. English is the camp language. The age of international camp participants is 14 i 16. Please be aware that during the day program of the camp the participants will be asked to leave their cell phones at their accommodation site to ensure safety of the participants and their engagement with the camp activities. To assure a safe environment for all the campers, we expect all our camp participants will provide their parents letter of consent (Parental Authorization) and travel insurance certificate.Participation feeUnlike the traditional voluntary camp, there will be mostly informal educational activities and guided language practice. Camp program implementation involves costs for boarding and lodging, domestic transport, materials, excursions, visits, cultural activities and general administration. Since neither EstYES, nor its partner ALPS receive any financial support for this camp from state or municipality, to make the camp happen we have to charge a participation fee from 350 to 600 Euro depending on the duration of the camp shift. This is a separate fee that is different from your country sending organization s fee you pay at home. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Thematic photo and video contests for camp participants will be organized.

The main tasks will be clipping branches and chopping (some) trees in the Grimsstaoagiroing forest to open for the forestry paths and clear the working area around the old forest fencing, removing old sticks, installing new ones and fastening fencing wire as to marking a forest path by colored wood sticks.Other tasks will be to trim branches and beautify groves that are located near the paths. Well maintained paths enable people to visit these amazing areas without damaging the surroundings and in addition our volunteers work helps to improve safety for visitors. It may be possible to work in other forests in the area, on similar projects, path maintenance, fencing or putting up benches and tables. No previous experience is necessary, but the work is demanding and requires a good physical condition. As it is outdoors work, volunteers shall be ready to adapt and be flexible with the working and free-time schedule, as depending on the weather, we may not be able to perform some of the tasks or activities planned.Weather is unpredictable and it can be cold and/or rainy, so be prepared to experience all kinds of weather. We recommend bringing good walking shoes/boots, warm and/or waterproof clothes (underlayers, overcoats, scarves, gloves and hats), as most of the tasks and activities take place outside.

LOCATION: The project will take place in the countryside of West Iceland; in a district called Borgarbyggo, in a unique natural environment with breathtaking landscapes, between glaciers and lava fields. The place is like an oasis in the desert, as the weather there is often better than in the surroundings. The area s landscape, nature and culture reflect this heritage and bring history to life. There are many possibilities for outdoor recreation in a true natural paradise. The area is home to the most powerful hot spring in Europe, Deildartunguhver. Among the natural wonders nearby are the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, where water pours out of a lava field over a length of 1 km. Additionally, the Hallmundarhraun lava field is among the deepest and best known in Iceland. Langjokull (Long Glacier), the second largest glacier in Iceland, expands over 950 km and its highest point is 1355 m. In addition to natural wonders this area is also famous for being one of the first settled locations in Iceland and featured in some of the oldest Icelandic sagas. Historically, its natural warmth made the location an early settlement adding even more depth to its incredible saga and Viking tales that surround the place. The region can be regarded as the setting for most of the Icelandic sagas.

ACCOMMODATION: SEEDS volunteers will sleep in beds in a house cooperating with the Icelandic Forest Service. The house is equipped. Please bring your own sleeping bag and towel. There is no WiFi in the house.Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Remember to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, music and recipes from your country for the intercultural evening.

Come and take part in the project to protect several natural sites in the Basque Country! The programme includes guided tours with specialists from the Department and the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels to discover the flora and fauna on site, as well as a range of different tasks: cutting down and removing invasive exotic species on wet moorland, repairing and installing fences in the mountains, creating sunbathing stations for the European pond terrapin (tortoise)... You'll have the opportunity to work on different sites in the middle of nature!

Don't forget to bring work clothes and shoes that won't get dirty.
In the mountains, despite the sunshine, the weather is surprising and can change rapidly.
For leisure activities, you'll need to pack clothes suited to the climate (warm fleece or jumper, shorts and hiking trousers, windbreaker, down jacket, warm socks, etc.). For hiking, high-top, notched shoes are recommended. Don't forget sun protection (a hat or cap is essential, sunglasses with a high protection factor because of the intense reflection, sun cream with a high protection factor IP 30-50, etc.) and a swimming costume for swimming or white-water activities.
For accommodation, remember to bring a warm sleeping bag and a towel. You should also bring a rucksack (in addition to your luggage), comfortable trainers and a pair of flip-flops. You'll also need to pack these essential accessories: a mobile phone charger, hiking poles (not compulsory, but recommended), a water bottle, a set of bandages and a headlamp or torch.
Social events will be organised in collaboration with our leaders and according to your wishes. In particular, we'll be organising themed evenings in each country. If you'd like to share a little of your culture (recipes, traditional stories, unusual objects, music, etc.), don't hesitate to take it with you.

You will be accommodated in individual tents, with sanitary facilities, kitchen and communal living area in the small village of Itxassou at the foot of the mountains. You will share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with the shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local produce.
Together, you'll help organise community life (cleaning, activities, etc.) and take turns preparing meals using locally sourced produce. Our aim is to encourage vegetarian eating using local, seasonal products, while respecting participants' diets and discovering local cuisine together.
No wifi & hand wash for clothes.

The Basque mountains are characterised by the presence of small wetlands on the slopes, known as peat bogs, in the middle of pastures and moors.
There are also other wetlands along the banks of the River Adour, known as barthes. These areas are subject to various pressures, including invasive alien species, pastoralism and tourism. The various sites you will be working on, the Mondarrain and Sare peat bogs and the Mouguerre and Lahonce barthes, are protected natural areas managed by the Pyrenees Atlantiques department and the Conservatoire des espaces naturels. A whole host of actions are necessary throughout the year to preserve these fragile environments, so you'll be taking part in this work and supporting the teams on site. Numerous awareness-raising missions are also carried out throughout the year with schoolchildren and local residents to raise awareness of the remarkable animal and plant species. The workcamp will not only be an opportunity to help preserve these unique places, but also to discover all their secrets thanks to the many specialists who will be on hand to show you around the site.

You'll be helping to restore this site, known as Place Molines. Following numerous consultations with village residents, objectives for the transformation of this place were listed. In 2024, volunteers created trellises to provide shade and seating. This year, a wooden kiosk-type shelter will be built on the square to enhance the facilities of this new square. In this way, you'll be helping to design a friendly, intergenerational leisure area, bringing freshness to the site by creating this shaded space, enhancing the setting: river Tarn, views of the Mont Lozere massif, peace and quiet, and finally making the place welcoming, safe and clean. 25h/week

The workcamp will take place in the commune of Pont-de-Montvert, near Mont-Lozere in the heart of the Cevennes. The aim of the project is to help build a new town square. This square has historically been home to sports facilities, in particular the former tennis courts in the village. However, since their closure, this space has been more or less left to its own devices, serving as a parking lot and occasional storage area. Since 2018, the commune has planted trees and hedges and installed a playground for the village's children. Your mission: to continue beautifying and transforming this square so that it becomes a place for village gatherings and activities.

You will work for thirteen mornings, six hours each, restoring a new section of the northern facade of the redoubt facing the Atlantic Ocean. Tasks include removing vegetation from the facade and crowning stones, de-jointing, and re-jointing with lime mortar. Additional traditional masonry work, such as repairing stone crowns and stone carving, is also planned. Furthermore, you will participate in workshops on intercultural awareness and sustainable development.

You can enjoy a wide range of water-based activities, such as fishing and sailing with the local clubs. The beach, seaside bike rides, beach volleyball and other surprises are all there for you to discover. You can also visit museums and towns such as La Rochelle and Rochefort. This project is actively working for SDG13 (Climate Action) and SDGs 15 (Life on Land), organized together with Shirakami Mountains Preservation Society (SMPS) since 2006. The Shirakami Mountains is one of Japanese valuable preserved natural forests consisting primarily of beech trees, registered as a World Natural Heritage in 1993. SMPS aims to preserve the natural beauty of the Shirakami Mountains by nurturing seedlings of beech trees, planting them, training mountain guide, etc. SMPS hosts tree-planting ceremony every June for preserving and promoting the value of it. They also preserve the forests near the Mutsu-bay, famous as production of scallops. Due to climate change, the sea water temperature increased abnormally and the most of scallops were dead. So SMPS started to preserve the forest there to let nutrient water flow to the ocean.

Dal 2017 Legambiente e Diversamente Marinai sono impegnati nella campagna “Vele Spiegate”. In questo contesto Diversamente Marinai propone campi di volontariato in barca a vela di una settimana nell'Arcipelago Toscano. Il progetto prevede la pulizia delle spiagge poco accessibili via terra, il monitoraggio dei rifiuti, il monitoraggio e il controllo delle tracce delle tartarughe marine Caretta Caretta, inoltre andremo alla scoperta dei sentieri che incontreremo nelle insenature dove ci fermeremo e mapperemo quelli che non sono presenti sulle carte. Il progetto mira alla conoscenza del mare attraverso la navigazione e alla creazione di team affiatati e motivati. Per questo i partecipanti impareranno la marineria antica e a farsi equipaggio a bordo di un ketch a vela del 1922. Inoltre, saranno formati sulle principali linee guida in termini di sostenibilità ambientale della fruizione del mare. Non ci può essere vera salvaguardia dell’ambiente senza saper apprezzare il paesaggio naturale. Il campo di lavoro vuole realizzare interventi concreti per migliorare la qualità ambientale mostrando all'equipaggio come vivere sul mare e con il mare sia un’esperienza indimenticabile. Le attività del campo sono arricchite dalla pratica quotidiana della riduzione degli sprechi che la vita di bordo comporta e dalla possibilità di spostarsi utilizzando prevalentemente il vento. Vele Spiegate è un progetto inserito nella Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenibile del Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscano per il periodo 2021-2025. Didattica della vela e la vita di bordo: l’attività prevede un corso di primo livello di navigazione a vela e conduzione di un’imbarcazione storica, attraverso la sperimentazione diretta delle nozioni acquisite.
Pulizia e monitoraggio delle spiagge accessibili solo dal mare: il progetto prevede la pulizia di alcune spiagge difficilmente accessibili via terra, attraverso la rimozione dei rifiuti. In tale occasione saranno anche monitorati i rifiuti attraverso la tecnica del Beach litter riportando dati e riflessioni su appositi moduli, fornendo dati che saranno utilizzati per scopi scientifici.
Ricerca e monitoraggio delle tracce della tartaruga Caretta caretta: i partecipanti impareranno a riconoscere le tracce della tartaruga e saranno impegnati anche nella ricerca delle stesse e nella sensibilizzazione di cittadini e turisti.
Mappatura sentieri: verrà monitorato lo stato dei sentieri che collegano le principali vie sentieristiche dell’isola alle spiagge e insenature, raggiungibili prevalentemente a piedi, e presso le quali faremo sosta con la nostra imbarcazione; e eventuale pulizia o segnalazione delle criticità riscontrate

L'Arcipelago toscano è formato da un gruppo di sette isole maggiori, di cui la più grande è l'isola d'Elba, più alcune minori, secche e scogli situati tra la terraferma toscana e la Corsica. L'arcipelago è bagnato da quattro mari: il mar Ligure a nord dell'isola d'Elba, il canale di Piombino a est, il mar Tirreno a sud e il canale di Corsica a ovest delle coste elbane. Il canale di Corsica e il canale di Piombino possono essere considerati come canali naturali di collegamento tra il mar Ligure e il mar Tirreno, rispettivamente a ovest e ad est dell'isola d'Elba.

Acquisizione delle conoscenze veliche di base per la conduzione di un’imbarcazione in sicurezza. Acquisizione delle conoscenze di base di marineria storica. Incremento della conoscenza di alcuni ambienti naturali dell’Arcipelago Toscano e della sua biodiversità. Apprendimento relativo alle emergenze ecologiche dell’ecosistema marino e costiero e correlazione con le abitudini di consumo e trattamento dei rifiuti. Attività formative di base volte al riconoscimento delle tracce della tartaruga marina (Caretta Caretta).
Alloggio
I partecipanti alloggeranno su un ketch a vela in legno del 1922 di 16,5 metri. I pasti verranno preparati in barca e si seguirà un'alimentazione prevalentemente vegetariana.

Swimtrekking significa letteralmente trekking a nuoto: è un modo originale per vivere e sentire l’ambiente, un viaggio in mare con maschera, boccaglio, pinne, muta, portando con sé tutto il necessario per l’escursione in un piccolo scafo in vetroresina da trainare: il barkino. I campi Swimtrekking si pongono l’obiettivo di proporre un’attività in mare che, attraverso l’escursionismo e l’esplorazione, consenta ai partecipanti di maturare un’esperienza autentica di confronto sulle tematiche della tutela e della salvaguardia dell’ambiente marino, anche e soprattutto attraverso la conoscenza della flora e della fauna.
Attraverso la guida di istruttori qualificati, i volontari esploreranno e monitoreranno i fondali marini (dalla superfice del mare) e i tratti costieri contribuendo alla raccolta dati su noci di mare, meduse, delfini e tartarughe attraverso l’applicazione AVVISTAPP (sviluppata e gestita dall’OGS di Trieste). Inoltre, verranno recuperati i rifiuti in mare e lungo la costa che saranno poi utilizzati per la realizzazione di opere artistiche che saranno fotografate, smaltite e, ove possibile, differenziate. Si ricorda che tutti gli istruttori della ASD Swimtrekking hanno una formazione specifica per guidare e seguire le varie fasi di un campo Swimtrekking abbracciando le compe-tenze tecniche della disciplina, conoscenze di biologia marina e di recupero e riciclaggio artistico dei rifiuti.

Le volontarie e i volontari recupereranno i rifiuti dal mare durante le nuotate lungo costa e li trasporteranno a riva.
Al termine delle attività in acqua si progetteranno e realizzeranno delle opere artistiche, utilizzando solo i materiali recuperati dal mare e dalle coste. I rifiuti saranno assemblati dando sfogo alla fantasia per produrre nuove forme che raccontano l’esperienza vissuta in mare. Il lavoro artistico verrà poi documentato attraverso foto e video.
Al termine dell’attività, le opere verranno smaltite seguendo le normative locali di raccolta differenziata. I volontari svolgeranno inoltre le attività di Marine and Beach Litter indagine sulla quantità e tipologia di rifiuti raccolti in mare e sulle spiagge raggiunte durante le escursioni, al fine di contribuire alla Direttiva Europea sulla Marine Strategy.
A fine campo sarà realizzato un video con tutti i contenuti delle attività svolte e consegnato ai partecipanti (munirsi di penna USB).
Altro aspetto fondamentale del campo sarà il censimento di specie marine e delle meduse. L’OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale proseguirà la collaborazione con Swimtrekking in un progetto Citizen Science estendendo per il 2025 la raccolta di informazioni su ogni avvistamento di meduse, tartarughe di mare, noci di mare e delfini.

Punta Ala è una località costiera situata in Toscana, nel comune di Castiglione della Pescaia, nella provincia di Grosseto. È caratterizzata da un territorio collinare che si affaccia su una spiaggia sabbiosa e ben curata. La località è circondata da una vegetazione tipicamente mediterranea, con pinete e macchia mediterranea che conferiscono un'atmosfera naturale e incontaminata. La zona è anche vicina a importanti aree protette come il Parco Naturale della Maremma, che offre un habitat ricco di biodiversità. Il paesaggio di Punta Ala è davvero suggestivo. Le acque cristalline del mare sono perfette per attività come nuoto, snorkeling e vela. La spiaggia è ben attrezzata e offre numerosi servizi per i turisti. L'area circostante è ideale per escursioni a piedi o in bicicletta, grazie ai sentieri che si snodano tra le colline e le pinete. Inoltre, la fauna locale include diverse specie di uccelli e animali marini, rendendola un luogo affascinante per gli amanti della natura. Punta Ala ha una storia ricca e affascinante. Originariamente, l'area era abitata dagli Etruschi, seguiti dai Romani, che sfruttarono la posizione strategica del territorio. Nel corso dei secoli, Punta Ala ha visto l'insediamento di diverse popolazioni e la costruzione di fortificazioni per difendersi dalle invasioni piratesche nel Medioevo. Un importante punto di riferimento storico è il Castello di Punta Ala, costruito nel XVI secolo per proteggere la costa.
Nel XIX secolo, Punta Ala divenne una meta ambita per nobili e aristocratici, contribuendo alla sua fama come località turistica esclusiva. Oggi, Punta Ala è conosciuta non solo per le sue bellezze naturali ma anche per le sue strutture turistiche di alta qualità.
Attività formative
I volontari, adeguatamente informati in merito a flora e fauna marina avranno il compito di censire, catalogare e studiare i comportamenti delle meduse, noci di mare, tartarughe e delfini incontrate durante le attività di esplorazione lungo costa. I volontari seguiranno inoltre le direttive tema dei progetti Marine and Beach Litter per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturalistico

Il Punta Ala Camp & Resort si estende all’interno di una pineta mediterranea. Il campeggio è una struttura turistica all’aria aperta che adesso occupa ben ventisette ettari ed è un vero e proprio “parco vacanze” dalle polivalenti opportunità di servizi e ospitalità particolarmente attenta e sensibile al tema dell’eco-turismo e alla tematica ambientale. Il Campeggio Punta Ala opera per ricreare un “natural lifestyle”, approccio riconosciuto e premiato da organizzazioni ambientali nazionali e internazionali.
I volontari sistemeranno le tende, fornite dalla ASD Swimtrekking, in un’area a loro riservata attrezzata con cucina da campo, le docce ed i servizi igienici in condivisione con gli altri campeggiatori.
I volontari dovranno munirsi di sacco a pelo, materassi-no ed eventualmente cuscino.
Per quanto riguarda i pasti, la prima colazione e la cena saranno organizzate sempre nell’area riservata del campeggio (vicino alle tende). I responsabili del campo e i/le partecipanti organizzeranno i pasti su base self-catering. Per il pranzo sarà preparato un pasto al sacco che verrà riposto nei barkini e trasportato durante l’attività in mare fino alla località prevista per la pausa pranzo.
Requisiti e materiali
L’attività dello Swimtrekking migliora la propria tecnica individuale nel nuoto, sviluppa l’autocontrollo e la conoscenza di sé e di una serie di tecniche quali l’apnea e il salvamento, studia la flora e la fauna, il moto ondoso, i venti e le correnti, rafforza e accresce le dinamiche del gruppo.
Sarà quindi fondamentale che tutti i volontari sappiano nuotare i due stili principali: lo stile libero e lo stile dorso. Specifichiamo inoltre che non sono assolutamente importanti i tempi di percorrenza e la tecnica indi-viduale ma una certa abitudine all’attività fisica. Si richiede quindi una certa consuetudine con l’attività spor-tiva di qualsiasi genere sia pur blanda. Le persone molto sedentarie non sono adatte a questo tipo di espe-rienza. Chiunque può quindi affrontare in maniera positiva l’esperienza di un campo Swimtrekking se interessato a sperimentare le conoscenze da noi proposte.

This project is actively working for SDG2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with Akitsugawa Promotion Group (APG) since 2024. Tanabe City and Minabe Town in Wakayama Prefecture are Japan's largest Ume(plums) products-growing areas. The region features a unique plum cultivation agricultural system that has been recognized as a World Agricultural Heritage by FAO. This system utilizes nutrient-poor, gravelly, and unstable slopes, preserving firewood and charcoal forests while strategically planting plum orchards. For over 400 years, it has sustainably produced high-quality plums, maintained through various wisdom and innovations. However, the region is also suffering from an aging population and declining birth rate, and sustainable agriculture, particularly plum farming, is in danger due to a lack of manpower. An international workcamp was organized with the aim of spreading the plum and the region's attractions to volunteers from all over the world, and passing to the next generation.

Help promote the Cote d'Azur stone heritage !
This year, the commune of Sospel invites you to make an active contribution to the restoration of the Chateau de l'Agaisen site, located on lands that host stays for minors, people with disabilities and soft tourism activities.
You'll have the opportunity to take part in the restoration of the site's restanques, but also in the development of an olive grove and the preservation of a unique hydraulic heritage, with its catchment basins and irrigation canals.
Your mission: Contribute to the creation of a floating staircase linking the two levels of the site. You'll build stone steps to facilitate movement and improve access to this historic area.
You'll also be helping to build a retaining wall some 20 m long and 1.60 m high. Initially, you'll be in charge of clearing and demarcating the construction area, using the picks and shovels provided. You will then sort the stones before starting to build the low wall.
By joining this project, you'll be supporting the Loisir Cote d'Azur association in its aim to make the site accessible to the young people they're targeting. Join us in preserving an exceptional heritage!

The grounds are mainly devoted to accommodations for minors and the disabled, and to soft tourism activities such as hiking and heritage discovery. Around the castle, you will find many terraces and olive trees.

The ?Loisirs Sejour Cote d'Azur Sospel? association will take care of your accommodation ! You'll be staying in the outdoor area of the site, with access to toilets, showers and a large communal kitchen.
Meals will be prepared collectively, and you'll be able to enjoy them in an outdoor facility. You?ll cook in pairs or trios, providing a learning opportunity with a strong intercultural dimension ! A recipe book will be provided to support responsible purchasing and sustainable eating. You will be accompanied by three animators. A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you'll participate in grocery-shopping and the preparation of meals, giving priority to healthy, local and vegetarian products.

AccommodationThere are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the beginning of the camp):1) In the premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the camp participants accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Apart from bedrooms, the tea-room for rest will be also organized where teenagers might watch films, read and play board games enjoying soft sofas. Bed linen, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, minimum one school staff member and one volunteer will be staying with camp participants overnights to maintain life, catering and general order on the site. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that you must be inside by 22:00 the latest unless supervised outside by a school staff member. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners at school, lunches i together with other camp participants.2) In the host families of some of local participants who will join this camp. The apartments of the host families may be located in Tallinn or its suburbs. Participants will stay in a separate or shared room. You do NOT need a sleeping bag. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Thematic photo and video contests for camp participants will be organized.

Creative teaching English – Non-formal education tools can be
used for creative teaching; volunteer is not required teaching
certificate but required to be creative. Aims of creative teaching
is giving the chance for students in the school and local
community to have an opportunity to communicate with
different languages and learn different cultures.Volunteer will
receive teaching schedule after arrival at the school.
Volunteers would use Non-formal education tools to make
activities based on intercultural and language such as the games,
songs, storytelling, and dancing. Also, it should focus on
communication; listening and speaking.
The activity after school – because the students stay at the
school dormitory, they always have extra activities after school.
The volunteer can join them to make a more closed relationship.
It will be a good opportunity to exchange the different cultures
and activities. Students are learning occupation skill activities
such as organic farming, handicraft, organic products.
You will be assisted by current volunteers in the project.

Rajaprajanugroh 24 School located in the northern Thailand connected to Laos border. The school is
under the Rajaprajanugroh Foundation under Royal Patronage which supports education, food and
accommodation for the children who have social problem issues, for example, no parents or gradients,
family economic suffering, etc.
There are about 1,000 students that can come and stay at the school from the primary (7 years old)
to high school (18 years old). Most of the students in this school are from hill tribe villages. This is a
boarding school.
Schools need international volunteers to create activities for students to improve English for
communication and create an intercultural environment in the school.

Come and help set up a care center for wild animals!
The TOTEM association welcomes you to an international work camp in sunny Le Pradet, where you can join other volunteers on a project to set up a wildlife care center and preserve local biodiversity.
The project is located in the commune of Le Pradet, on land belonging to the Conservatoire du Littoral, and includes 2 buildings to be completely renovated to become care buildings.
Program:
Construction of dry-stone walls to demarcate areas, construction of animal shelters, restoration of antique furniture (1800), landscaping of outdoor areas, organization of garage sales with the commune to present the TOTEM project and international workcamps, creation of a fresco inside the building...
It's a great opportunity to discover the region and meet some unforgettable people!

Le Pradet is a commune in southern France, located in the Var department (83), 57 km from Marseille and just 8 km from Toulon. It is home to some of the most beautiful coves and beaches on the Mediterranean coast.
Your volunteer work will be punctuated by a variety of activities: discovering the region and its specialties, hiking, swimming in the sea, lake or river, nature sports, meeting locals... and much more!

Accommodation will be either hard-standing or in tents, depending on the weather and the group's wishes. The kitchen area and toilets will be hard-standing inside the building.
You will take it in turns to prepare meals, in pairs or triples.
A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you'll take part in shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local produce. A recipe booklet will be provided to encourage responsible purchasing and sustainable eating.

Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues happen on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD: Accommodation is in tents with bedding provided. Food is ‘Canteen style’ with a limited choice but with a vegetarian option. Three meals a day are provided, which includes a cooked breakfast and / or cereals, lunch and a cooked evening meal. Meals are at set times.
IMPORTANT: – Even in the British Summertime it can be VERY COLD AT NIGHT – please ensure you bring enough warm clothes. Wet weather clothing and footwear is also strongly recommended, as the site can get muddy and even the summer can bring a rainy day.

Le Prealpi friulane vivono un momento di profonda riflessione su quali possono essere le giuste leve in grado di invertire il declino che stanno vivendo analogamente a quanto si sta sperimentando in tutte le cosiddette aree interne e periferiche e non solo in Italia. L’abbandono drastico delle pratiche agricole e la fine di una zootecnia estensiva che le avevano modellate e invigorite negli ultimi secoli fino al secondo dopoguerra, le stanno spopolando in favore delle aree urbane che offrono servizi e possibilità di impiego.
Una possibilità che le vallate prealpine conservano ancora è rappresentata però dalle bellezze ambientali e dal valore che oggi esse rappresentano in una fase di generale declino della qualità ambientale e di allarmante perdita di biodiversità dovuta non solo all’emergenza del riscaldamento globale.
Nel Campo di Volontariato i ragazzi saranno guidati a fare dei campionamenti sullo stato dell’ambiente partendo dai corsi d’acqua dell’Arzino e del Cosa ed effettuare un monitoraggio attraverso la raccolta e l’analisi dei campioni d’acqua al fine di portare in evidenza le forme di inquinamento che possono comprometterne la naturalità.

I volontari saranno impegnati in attività di campionamento e analisi della qualità dell’acqua lungo i torrenti Arzino e Cosa. Una ulteriore attività sarà costituita da interventi di recupero sulla sentieristica storica affiancati da artigiani esperti nel rifacimento dei selciati e delle murature a secco.

Il comune di Castelnovo del Friuli è situato al centro del Friuli ad una altezza di 250 m s.l.m. nella fascia collinare antistante la pianura
È composto da ca. 40 borgate sparse lungo le colline tutto attorno alla frazione centrale di Paludea.
Il territorio è costituito da un corrugamento montuoso originato da movimenti di faglia nel sottosuolo che alla fine hanno dato ai luoghi il caratteristico aspetto a pieghe con rilievi addossati l’uno all’altro.
Abitato da 1000 anni prima di Cristo il comune è disposto in una posizione amena appena sopra la pianura del Friuli occidentale ed ha sempre rappresentato un luogo di rifugio e protezione per le scorribande e le invasioni che hanno sempre infestato il Friuli.
Fino al primo dopoguerra l’economia si fondava sull’agricoltura di sussistenza ed il luogo era conosciuto per la coltivazione della vite e degli alberi da frutto.

Attività formative
Il ciclo dell’acqua, esame delle opere di regimazione con analisi delle pressioni che insistono oggi sui corsi d’acqua e formazione sui protocolli e le tecniche di campionamento. Inoltre attraverso l’attività di recupero della sentieristica storica i volontari acquisiranno abilità manuali nella costruzione con blocchi di pietra a secco.

L’alloggio, Ostello di Castelnovo del Friuli, è costituito da 2 camerate da 16 posti ciascuna, da una cucina e un'ampia sala multiuso.

With the help of members of the association and local historians, you will take part in the enhancement of this emblematic heritage of the town of Eymet. You will learn how to lime the stone walls inside the mill with a mason who is an expert on this age-old technique, and you will work on developing an outdoor patio: weeding, installing a wooden floor and a removable awning, and repairing old walls. With the help of a specialist, you'll learn about the specific vegetation found along the banks of the river and look after it on the mill peninsula. Finally, you will take part in the design and organisation of the built heritage and mills festival, one of the town's great festive occasions.

You'll stay in tents on our summer camp on the Moulin peninsula. Access to dry toilets and showers on site. Individual tents or tents for two will be provided, as well as foam trekking mattresses. Remember to bring your duvet and a pillow. You will prepare the menus together, meeting local producers and cooking their delicious seasonal produce. You'll share your meals together in the mill's majestic great hall, where you can spend unforgettable evenings afterwards. Don't forget to bring your own gourmet recipes!

Eymet is a charming medieval Bastide town in the Perigord Pourpre region of the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. Founded in 1270, this small town embodies the authenticity and charm of the Bastide towns, the fortified towns typical of southwestern France. Eymet is built around its central square, lined with arcades and bustling with cafes, restaurants and shops.
Its rich historical heritage can be seen in the cobbled streets, the fortified church of Saint-Etienne and the remains of its medieval castle, offering a journey back in time. History buffs will also appreciate the half-timbered and stone houses that bear witness to its past. Eymet is particularly well known for its strong British community, which contributes to its cosmopolitan atmosphere while preserving a Perigordian art of living.
Eymet's mill, located on the banks of the River Dropt, is one of the most emblematic symbols of this Bastide in the Perigord Pourpre. Full of history, it bears witness to the importance of mills in the medieval and modern economy of the region, where they were mainly used to grind the grain produced in the rich surrounding farmland.
You will take part in this architectural and human adventure by preparing the mill for summer events. You'll round off your stay by taking part in the local heritage and mill festival, which is held every year on the last weekend in June to kick off the summer season.
