Legambiente per l’estate 2025, in Abruzzo, promuove dei campi di volontariato che hanno come obiettivo il recupero e la valorizzazione dei sentieri che erano parte delle antiche vie tratturali, infrastrutture legate alla storia millenaria degli agricoltori e dei pastori sulle montagne, e alla tradizione della transumanza, inserita dall'UNESCO nella Lista del Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale. I volontari aiuteranno nella pulizia dei sentieri situati nell'area del Convento di San Pasquale (nel bosco di Vallaspra), la cui fondazione risalirebbe al 1408. Gli interventi consistono nella sistemazione e pulizia del sentiero e nel recupero di alcuni tratti interrotti dalla vegetazione. Lungo il percorso sarà predisposta nuova segnaletica per consentire una migliore fruizione del percorso.
Lavoro
I volontari lavoreranno per circa 6 ore al giorno. I lavori si svolgeranno prevalentemente nelle prime ore del mattino. Gli interventi consistono nella sistemazione e pulizia del sentiero e il recupero di alcuni tratti interrotti dalla vegetazione. Lungo il percorso sarà predisposta nuova segnaletica per consentire una migliore fruizione del percorso. Cuore del campo sarà anche il contributo all'organizzazione di una festa tradizionale nel centro storico di Atessa, "Corti Antiche", un percorso di scoperta dei sapori del territorio ma anche delle vie, delle piazzette e delle ruelle di Atessa. Ogni anno sono migliaia i turisti, visitatori e curiosi che approfittano di questa magica serata per scoprire il buon cibo e la bellezza degli angoli e degli scorci del centro storico della città. Verranno organizzati spettacoli di musica, teatro e danza e allestimenti d’arte. Il filo conduttore dell’evento (e quindi degli spettacoli e degli allestimenti d'arte) è legato alla sostenibilità, con un tema diverso ogni anno. I volontari del campo guidati dal Circolo locale aiuteranno nella realizzazione e nella riuscita green di tutto l'evento.

Atessa si trova sulla collina che guarda la val di Sangro, a metà strada tra la Costa dei Trabocchi e la Majella. La storia dell'unione dei due villaggi longobardi di Ate e Tixa, da qui Atessa, fa riferimento a una leggenda molto antica, legata al patrono della città San Leucio d'Alessandria e a un drago mitologico. A pochi chilometri dal centro storico, in località Vallaspra, si trovano immersi nel bosco il Convento di San Pasquale e la chiesa di Santa Maria degli Angeli, luogo che trasmette un forte senso di appartenenza, d'identità religiosa, spirituale e culturale. Il Comune di Atessa crede fortemente in Corti Antiche, un evento che valorizza la bellezza del centro storico e che promuove i prodotti enogastronomici di qualità del nostro territorio, importanti anche per l'economia locale. Atessa accoglie i volontari vestita a festa per il periodo più vivace dell'anno tra luci e musica.

Legambiente Geo A.P.S. nasce ad Atessa nel 1989 grazie all’entusiasmo di un gruppo di giovani volontari. Da oltre 35 anni la nostra associazione si occupa del miglioramento della qualità ambientale e culturale del nostro territorio al fine di soddisfare il bisogno di partecipazione, coesione e conoscenza delle persone. Negli ultimi anni abbiamo combattuto contro il traffico dei rifiuti, il consumo di suolo, per la salvaguardia del fiume Sangro e dell'ambiente della Val di Sangro. Abbiamo favorito la nascita del SIC/ZSC Monte Pallano e Lecceta d'Isca d'Archi, luogo di eccellenze ambientali e archeologiche. Legambiente gestisce il CEA Casanatura Fontecampana, luogo di educazione alla sostenibilità per persone di ogni età. Dal 2017 gestisce il Centro del Riuso del comune di Atessa.

Tsuglagkhang, Mcleodganj the residence of the Dalai Lama
is a must-visit, as are the Tibet Museum, Dalai Lama temple, Tibetan Parliament House, Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, War Memorial and Kangra Art Museum. Your help is needed to prepare space and facilities for the 18th Fokus Festival. An alternative 2-day festival (15th – 16th August) with several stages, many workshops, a speakers corner, food and drinks! Please watch one of the aftermovies on YouTube (@SecondAttempteV) to get an impression of the Festival. You are invited to work together in international teams, composed of employees of RABRYKA and other volunteers from Goerlitz. During working hours you can create fancy furniture for the visitors, colorful decoration for the stages and the festival area, do some gardening or lead through your own ideas. Whether you like painting, crafting, working, gardening, cooking or designing- whatever you like, we’ll find a task for you. It would be great if the group could contribute something special for the Fokus Festival, for example decorating a graffiti wall. During the festival itself volunteers will offer support by filling shifts at the bar, the backstage control or as a runner. Goerlitz is situated at the very east of Germany. After WWII, it was divided and the area in the east of the river Neisse is now the autonomous town Zgorzelec and part of Poland. Volunteers will get a guided tour through Goerlitz and will learn about its eventful history. Moreover, you will learn about the current network of initiatives in the city, which offers a wide range of cultural and social work. In addition, there will be free time for a cycling tour to a lake nearby, bonfire evenings, a party and more.

Volunteers will stay near the youth and cultural center. The group of ICJA-volunteers will sleep in a big room with room dividers, there are bathrooms, a shower and a kitchen. Volunteers will need a sleeping bag. It is planned that volunteers will prepare dinner on their own. Breakfast and lunch will be offered at RABRYKA and will be vegan.

"RABRYKA" is a unique space for youth culture and social life, situated in an abandoned factory ground. You can see it as an open space for all kinds of youth and social culture. Currently it offers a wide range of possibilities for kids, youth and adults: it unites different projects in one house, e.g. a youth club, a workshop and makerspace, intercultural or cultural education or urban gardening. There is enough inside and outdoor space for gatherings and sports, sharing things and opinions, playing music and partying together and … much more! The biggest event organized by the RABRYKA is the FOKUS Festival, in which you will also participate.
The head organisation of the RABRYKA is the “Second Attempt e.V.”, which highly motivates people to develop the civil society of Goerlitz. Everyone is invited to join meetings that focus on the vision of a society, which respects the values of tolerance, equality and cross-cultural empathy. RABRYKA is a fictional word connecting the Polish word for factory – fabryka and the first letter of red. Red are the bricks of the buildings of the former factory.

Volunteers will focus on revitalizing the parish garden, including terrain adjustments, cutting overgrown vegetation, removing unsuitable trees, and mowing the grass. In case of rain, tasks will shift to interior renovation, such as painting, cleaning, and scraping plaster. While no special attire is required, sturdy footwear suitable for outdoor terrain and clothing appropriate for gardening are recommended. The physical demands of the work are moderate.

Location: The workcamp will be held at the Early Baroque rectory in Blansko, near Kaplice, located along the Malše River at the foot of the Novohradské Mountains. Perched atop a hill, the rectory offers a panoramic view of Kaplice and stands next to the Church of St. George. While the current building dates back to the 17th century, its history extends to medieval times. The site also features farm buildings, including granaries and barns, as well as a spacious rectory garden. The nearby town of Kaplice, just 1.5 km away, provides amenities such as a cinema, library, restaurants, sports facilities, and shops.
Leisure time: In their free time, volunteers can explore the nearby town of Kaplice, just 1.5 km away, offering a cinema, library, restaurants, sports facilities, and shops. For nature lovers, a scenic trail runs along the Černá River leading to the Hradiště hill lookout tower. Those interested in history can visit several nearby historical sites, with the stunning town of Český Krumlov only about 25 km away.
Study part: A planned excursion to Tichá Fortress will include a lecture on its reconstruction, providing insight into historical preservation. Volunteers will also attend a lecture on historical paintings and their restoration, gaining a deeper understanding of traditional art conservation. Additionally, there is a possibility of an excursion to the Velešín Museum, where they can explore local folk culture and heritage.

Volunteers will be accommodated directly in the parish building, staying in rooms that accommodate 3-4 people each. Hygiene facilities include two toilets and one shower within the building. Volunteers should bring a sleeping bag, towel and indoor slippers. The accommodation provides Wi-Fi and a microwave, but there is no washing machine. Meals will be prepared communally at the parish, with volunteers taking turns assisting in the kitchen. The cuisine will primarily feature traditional Czech dishes, including meat, but special diets such as gluten-free or vegetarian can be accommodated if needed.

Ornezan is a small village in the Gers, surrounded by rolling hills and valleys. The landscape is shaped by agriculture, with fields, lakes, and winding paths weaving between farms and forests. The Gers is a region where life moves at a slower pace, with a strong Gascon identity still alive today. You might even hear a few words of Occitan at the market or in local conversations. Your work days will be balanced with moments of relaxation. When the summer heat peaks, you can cool off in nearby lakes. Throughout the season, numerous village festivals take place, featuring open-air meals, dances, and performances. History enthusiasts can follow in the footsteps of pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago or explore sites like the Gallo-Roman villa of Seviac. ACCOMMODATION: SEEDS participants will stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. As participants sleep in shared rooms with up to 6 people, everyone is expected to behave considerately. Please bring your own towel. Participants will receive food supplies and be in charge of the cooking and cleaning activities. Note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music or games from your country for the intercultural evening. Be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

PROJECT: This is the eighteenth year (since 2008) that SEEDS has organised a series of International Photography projects and we began organising these camps for teenagers in the year 2010. Throughout the year, participants from all over the world come to Iceland for an immersive photography-focused learning camp. SEEDS coordinators help participants to develop their unique photographic skills through workshops and feedback sessions on technical settings, compositional considerations, and creating conceptual frameworks that highlight each participant s individual style. Participants will have time to put the theory about photography into practice, exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant will be selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods, and laptops, if possible. While learning about photography, the participants have the opportunity to explore Icelandic culture through active participation: capturing it, engaging with it, and showcasing their work throughout the camp. One of our goals is to empower young people to use photography to highlight environmental and cultural subjects and issues.Participants should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and working within a flexible schedule. Participants will be photographing in their free time outside of workshop hours with images to be discussed at group feedback sessions.This camp is open to participants aged 16 to 20. During their stay, SEEDS organises a programme that combines learning, sharing, getting to know Iceland and its culture, and having fun while exploring the city and some of the most stunning natural attractions in the Golden Circle and Reykjanes Peninsula excursions.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

I volontari recupereranno i rifiuti dal mare durante le nuotate lungo costa e li trasporteranno a riva. Al ter-mine delle attività in acqua si progetteranno e realizzeranno delle opere artistiche, utilizzando solo i mate-riali recuperati dal mare e dalle coste. I rifiuti saranno assemblati dando sfogo alla fantasia per produrre nuove forme che raccontano l’esperienza vissuta in mare. Il lavoro artistico verrà poi documentato attraverso foto e video. Al termine dell’attività, le opere verranno smaltite seguendo le normative locali di raccolta differenziata. I volontari svolgeranno inoltre le attività di Marine and Beach Litter indagine sulla quantità e tipologia di rifiuti raccolti in mare e sulle spiagge raggiunte durante le escursioni, al fine di contribuire alla Direttiva Europea sulla Marine Strategy. Tutte le attività del campo, il lavoro in mare e il lavoro artistico saranno documentate con una macchina fotografica compatta scafandrata messa a disposizione dall’ASD Swimtrekking, insieme a un computer. A fine campo sarà realizzato un video con tutti i contenuti delle attività svolte e consegnato ai partecipanti (munirsi di penna USB). Altro aspetto fondamentale del campo sarà il censimento di specie marine e delle meduse. L’OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Speri-mentale proseguirà la collaborazione con Swimtrekking in un progetto Citizen Science estendendo per il 2025 la raccolta di informazioni su ogni avvistamento di meduse, tartarughe di mare, noci di mare e delfini.

La bella e tranquilla isola di Itaca, famosa per essere stata la patria di Ulisse, è separata dall’isola di Cefalonia da un canale di 3 km di larghezza. La costa orientale è aspra e a strapiombo, mentre quella occidentale è verde e leggermente inclinata verso il Mar Ionio. L’interno è montuoso, ricoperto da pini, cipressi, olivi e vigneti. L’isola è ricca di piccoli villaggi e numerosi siti archeologici. Il mare dalle acque cristalline che si esplorerà in questo campo è ricchissimo di flora, fauna e reperti archeologici. Kioni è la località dove avrà sede il campo, un pittoresco villaggio di pescatori, con un grazioso porticciolo commerciale, caratterizzato da stradine, negozi, taverne e café. Incantevoli calette rendono il luogo un vero e proprio paradiso terrestre. Nonostante ciò, determinati punti dell’isola di Itaca, sono particolarmente esposti alle correnti che depositano sulle spiagge e lungo la costa un notevole quantitativo di rifiuti con una altissima percentuale di polistirolo (si tratta delle casette in cui i pescherecci conservano il pescato e che poi finiscono in mare). In accordo con il Sindaco di Itaca sarà quindi compito dei volontari pulire le spiagge inaccessibili da terra. A completamento della pulizia effettuata dai volontari, sarà l’amministrazione locale a provvedere alla rimozione della spazzatura.
Attività formative
I volontari, adeguatamente informati in merito a flora e fauna marina avranno il compito di censire, catalogare e studiare i comportamenti delle meduse, noci di mare, tartarughe e delfini incontrate durante le attività di esplorazione lungo costa. I volontari seguiranno inoltre le direttive tema dei progetti Marine and Beach Litter per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturalistico.

Captain’s Apartment sono dei confortevoli e graziosi appartamenti (monolocali e bilocali, attrezzati di cu-cine e ampi spazi comuni), situati nella parte alta del villaggio a pochi minuti a piedi dalla marina e dal caratteristico porticciolo turistico di Kioni.

L’attività dello Swimtrekking si basa sul nuoto. Sarà quindi fondamentale che tutti i volontari sappiano nuotare i due stili principali: lo stile libero e lo stile dorso. Specifichiamo inoltre che non sono assolutamente importanti i tempi di percorrenza e la tecnica individuale ma una certa abitudine all’attività fisica. Si richiede quindi una certa consuetudine con l’attività sportiva di qualsiasi genere sia pur blanda. Le persone molto se-dentarie non sono adatte a questo tipo di esperienza. L’attività di Swimtrekking migliora la propria tecnica individuale nel nuoto, sviluppa l’autocontrollo e la conoscenza di sé, fa conoscere una serie di tecniche quali l’apnea e il salvamento, studia la flora e la fauna, il moto ondoso, i venti e le correnti, rafforza e accresce le dinamiche del gruppo. Chiunque può quindi affrontare in maniera positiva l’esperienza di un campo Swimtrekking se interessato a sperimentare le conoscenze da noi proposte

Take part in the renovation of the Sauldre canal basin, a natural and historical heritage in the heart of the Sologne, in Lamotte-Beuvron, about two hours away from Paris.
The basin used to be a harbor and a manoeuvring area for barges carrying rock cargoes.
Located in the town centre, the basin and the esplanade around it are in the heart of a development project led by the town council.
In the continuity of a workcamp organised last year, your mission will be to repair the stone riprap that composes the structure of the basin. You will need to remove the weed from the banks and fix the disjointed stones by using traditional masonry techniques.
Some of the work will be performed from a floating platform. Even if the water is low in summer, it is essential to know how to swim to participate in this workcamp.

Only two hours from the south of Paris, surrounded by woods and ponds which embellish the Sologne, the town of Lamotte-Beuvron is known as the home of the largest equestrian centre in Europe. It is appreciated for its gastronomy, especially for the famous apple dessert: the very tasty Tarte Tatin. You will undoubtedly have the opportunity to discover this sweet dessert while visiting the village in your free time. The city of Orleans, the regional capital of the area, is also easily accessible by public transport.

Your accommodation will be at a 20-minute walk from the worksite. You will have your own tent (provided by Concordia), on the field of the stadium close to the House of Sports, where you will have access to sanitary facilities, showers, as well as a kitchen and a common room. You will share various collective tasks (cleaning, activities, etc.). A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with shopping and cooking, prioritizing healthy, local products. Feel free to bring your own recipes, it's a great opportunity to share your history and culture with the group. A washing machine and a laundromat will be available (it is still recommended to bring 2 weeks of clothes). WIFI will be available in the town hall or through hotspot.

The work site will take place in a rural environment. For practical and ecological reasons, travel will mainly be on foot or by bicycle. Remember to bring gloves, clothes and shoes suitable for outdoor work. Don't forget to bring a sleeping bag and a floor mat, summer and rain clothes, as well as a swimsuit and toiletries. You can also use a pillowcase as a pillow by filling it up. You can bring board games, a music instrument or anything from your region/country that you want to share with the group, as well as a Bluetooth speaker. The town of Lamotte-Beuvron has been working for years to rehabilitate the Sauldre canal. This is the fifth time that a workcamp is organised here. Built on the orders of Napoleon III, the canal drains into the Lamotte-Beuvron's basin. Abandoned almost a century ago, the canal has now become a tourist trail, located both on the equestrian route linking Chambord to Sancerre and on the Grande Randonnee trail no. 31, which is very popular amongst nature lovers.

The planned actions are:

A typical working day runs from 8:30 am to 1 pm. The work is intense and physical, but each person can participate according to their own abilities. The jobs may include:

Hand tools such as sickles or machetes, rakes, and scissors will be used. Motorized tools may be used by volunteers from the territory with the necessary technical knowledge

The workcamp is situated in Chiaverano, 55 km from Turin, opens at the entrance to the Valle d'Aosta. It's situated on the hills of the Serra Morena, into the area of the Five Lakes. It offers an amazing view of all the morainic arch, and arises from an ancient medieval village, of which you can still find a track in the shelter and in the ruins of the castle. Along lanes among the vineyards, trails in the woods, paved mule-track and rural alleys, walks wind through different scenarios where the wonders of nature alternate with human works.
The nearest airport is Turin Caselle Airport. Other airports are Milan Malpensa, Linate, Orio al Serio in Lombardia region. The nearest train station to Chiaverano is in Ivrea.

Il campo Swimtrekking & Orienteering - Kalymnos unisce il piacere del NUOTO IN ACQUE LIBERE in una delle isole più remote e tranquille del Dodecaneso con attività esplorative nell’entroterra volte alla conoscenza dell’isola. La nostra vacanza sarà arricchita da iniziative alla SCOPERTA DELL’ISOLA DELLE SPUGNE, una delle principali attrattive dell’isola che la rende famosa in tutto il mondo. Nuoteremo in acque calme e cri-stalline lontane dal turismo di massa e avremo occasione di visitare il famoso castello di Chrosocheria, il museo archeologico, esplorando l’isola alla scoperta di antichi monasteri, la grande grotta di Kalymnos e altre meraviglie locali. Questo speciale programma prevede inoltre la combinazione del nuoto Swimtrekking con la disciplina dell’ORIENTEERING. Lavoro
I volontari recupereranno i rifiuti dal mare durante le nuotate lungo costa e li trasporteranno a riva. Al termine delle attività in acqua si progetteranno e realizzeranno delle opere artistiche, utilizzando solo i mate-riali recuperati dal mare e dalle coste. I rifiuti saranno assemblati dando sfogo alla fantasia per produrre nuove forme che raccontano l’esperienza vissuta in mare. Il lavoro artistico verrà poi documentato attraverso foto e video. Al termine dell’attività, le opere verranno smaltite seguendo le normative locali di raccolta differenziata. I volontari svolgeranno inoltre le attività di Marine and Beach Litter- indagine sulla quantità e tipologia di rifiuti raccolti in mare e sulle spiagge raggiunte durante le escursioni, al fine di contribuire alla Direttiva Europea sulla Marine Strategy. Tutte le attività del campo, il lavoro in mare e il lavoro artistico saranno documentate con una macchina fotografica compatta scafandrata messa a disposizione dall’ASD Swimtrekking, insieme a un computer. A fine campo sarà realizzato un video con tutti i contenuti delle attivi-tà svolte e consegnato ai partecipanti (munirsi di penna USB). Altro aspetto fondamentale del campo sarà il censimento di specie marine e delle meduse. L’OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Speri-mentale proseguirà la collaborazione con Swimtrekking in un progetto Citizen Science estendendo per il 2025 la raccolta di informazioni su ogni avvistamento di meduse, tartarughe di mare, noci di mare e delfini.

Le sue acque turchesi invitano a nuotare, fare snorkeling e immersioni. Gli appassionati di sport acquatici possono esplorare i fondali ricchi di flora e di fauna. Inoltre, l'isola offre numerose calette isolate, ideali per una nuotate tranquille lontano dalla folla. Oltre alle attività natatorie, Kalymnos è famosa per il suo arrampicata sportiva. Le sue scogliere offrono percorsi per tutti i livelli di esperienza, attirando scalatori da tutto il mondo. Dopo una giornata di avventure, i visitatori possono rilassarsi nelle taverne locali e assaporare piatti tipici della cucina greca.
Kalymnos è quindi una gemma del Dodecaneso che offre un perfetto equilibrio tra avventura e relax.
Attività formative
I volontari, adeguatamente informati in merito a flora e fauna marina avranno il compito di censire, catalogare e studiare i comportamenti delle meduse, noci di mare, tartarughe e delfini incontrate durante le attività di esplorazione lungo costa. I volontari seguiranno inoltre le direttive tema dei progetti Marine and Beach Litter per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturalistico.

Alkyonis Apartments sono dei confortevoli e spaziosi appartamenti situati sul versante ovest dell’isola a pochi metri dal mare.

Requisiti e materiali
L’attività dello Swimtrekking si basa sul nuoto. Sarà quindi fondamentale che tutti i volontari sappiano nuotare i due stili principali: lo stile libero e lo stile dorso. Specifichiamo inoltre che non sono assolutamente importanti i tempi di percorrenza e la tecnica individuale ma una certa abitudine all’attività fisica. Si richiede quindi una certa consuetudine con l’attività sportiva di qualsiasi genere sia pur blanda. Le persone molto se-dentarie non sono adatte a questo tipo di esperienza. L’attività di Swimtrekking migliora la propria tecnica individuale nel nuoto, sviluppa l’autocontrollo e la conoscenza di sé, fa conoscere una serie di tecniche quali l’apnea e il salvamento, studia la flora e la fauna, il moto ondoso, i venti e le correnti, rafforza e accresce le dinamiche del gruppo. Chiunque può quindi affrontare in maniera positiva l’esperienza di un campo Swimtrekking se interessato a sperimentare le conoscenze da noi proposte.

La ASD Swimtrekking è un’associazione sportiva dilettantistica affiliata alla UISP che da 30 anni organizza il trekking a nuoto in varie località del Mar Mediterraneo e del mondo.
L’attività dello Swimtrekking nasce con l’intento di esplorare e monitorare l’ambiente marino e si sostanzia nella realizzazione di corsi e stage, sia in piscina che in mare, le cui tematiche spaziano dalla tecnica dello Swimtrekking e dell’allenamento agli aspetti teorici e pratici della sicurezza in mare, della conoscenza della flora e della fauna, della tutela e salvaguardia dell'habitat marino, dello studio e della conoscenza dei venti, delle correnti e delle condizioni meteo-marine esclusivamente in funzione dell’attività stessa che porta. Le attività Swimtrekking coinvolgono bambini, adolescenti, famiglie, adulti e diversamente abili e seguono un progetto ambientale e sociale condotto da un team di educatori e tecnici del settore.

Questo campo si inserisce in un più ampio progetto di Legambiente Abruzzo dedicato alla valorizzazione e tutela della transumanza, riconosciuta dall’UNESCO come Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale dell'Umanità. Questa antica pratica pastorale ha modellato per secoli il paesaggio e l’identità dell’Abruzzo, intrecciandosi con la vita di agricoltori e pastori che hanno lasciato segni tangibili della loro storia lungo i tratturi e nei borghi.
Durante il campo, i volontari si occuperanno della pulizia e manutenzione degli antichi sentieri, un tempo parte delle vie tratturali, ripristinando percorsi storici che collegano Bomba con Monte Pallano e il Lago di Bomba. Inoltre, contribuiranno alla cura e valorizzazione di alcune aree del centro storico, attraverso interventi di recupero su spazi comuni e strutture caratteristiche.
Un’attenzione particolare sarà dedicata alla tutela delle architetture spontanee in pietra a secco, come muretti, ricoveri e strutture rurali, testimonianze di un sapere

La ristrutturazione del sentiero richiederà un impegno manuale da parte dei volontari, che lavoreranno per circa 6 ore al giorno. Le attività comprenderanno la pulizia e la sistemazione del percorso che collega Bomba a Monte Pallano fino al Lago di Bomba, con interventi mirati alla rimozione della vegetazione invasiva e al recupero di tratti interrotti.
Oltre alla manutenzione dei sentieri, i volontari contribuiranno anche alla cura di alcune aree del centro storico, migliorandone l’accessibilità e l’aspetto complessivo.
Infine, per facilitare la fruizione del percorso e valorizzare il territorio, verranno posizionati cartelli informativi e segnaletica lungo i sentieri e nei punti di maggiore interesse storico e naturalistico.

L'area di Monte Pallano e Lecceta d'Isca d'Archi è ricca di fascino, grazie ai suoi tesori naturali e archeologici. La sua posizione strategica e la presenza di sorgenti d'acqua hanno favorito l'insediamento dell'uomo nella zona: come testimoniano i resti dell'insediamento dell'antica Pallanum e le imponenti Mura Megalitiche, sono state rinvenute dagli archeologi tracce della presenza umana dal Paleolitico al Neolitico e al periodo ellenistico-romano. Attività formative
Durante il campo, oltre alle attività pratiche, verranno organizzati momenti formativi dedicati alla scoperta del territorio e del suo patrimonio storico, culturale e ambientale. I volontari avranno l'opportunità di approfondire la tradizione della transumanza, la storia del borgo e delle sue architetture spontanee, nonché l'importanza della tutela del paesaggio.
Saranno previsti incontri con esperti locali, escursioni guidate e attività di sensibilizzazione per comprendere il legame tra natura e comunità e il valore della conservazione ambientale. Questi momenti di formazione permetteranno ai partecipanti di acquisire nuove conoscenze e di vivere un’esperienza più consapevole e coinvolgente nel territorio.

Il circolo Legambiente Green Lake APS, nasce nel 2022 del sentimento comune di cittadini di uno stesso territorio diviso in più comuni. Il territorio focus è quello del Lago di Bomba, che merita molto di più rispetto alla situazione in cui riversa, sotto il punto di vista sociale, ambientale ed economico.I principali comuni , che vengono bagnati dalle acque del lago, sono 5 Bomba: Bomba, Colledimezzo, Pietraferrazzana, Villa Santa Maria e Pennadomo. Il territorio è un ampio spot di biodiversità, partendo dalla presenza di diverse aree SIC/ZPS/ZSC, istituite dalla rete natura 2000, il fiume insieme al lago è una delle principali rotte migratorie ed inoltre si è confinanti con il Parco Nazionale della Majella. Eliminare campanilismi e limitare azioni dannose, sono gli obiettivi del circolo.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) since 2018 in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) is a non-profit organization that caters to the needs of children in and around Chow Kit. They run two drop-in centers in Chow Kit and one safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship. YCK operate in partnership with Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. YCK developed out of Nur Salam and was incorporated in 2011. The past workcamps since 2018 Sep. have been successful and in 2024, 48 vols. from Japan, Mexico and Italy joined 4 workcamps with creating great impact!

This project is actively working for SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with a local NGO for community development named KOBOSHA since 1996. Volunteers will join the summer festival called TORO NAGASHI that is a memorial service for ancestors by making lanterns named TORO and floating them down a river. Volunteers will make large TORO (2 x 2 meters) for the festival in this workcamp. Project aims to mobilize the local community with workcampers. Through this workcamp, the local community will be much more activated, redeveloping pride for their community!

With your help, we would like to carry out urgent work to preserve the historic railway station site. Nature is reclaiming what once belonged to it and working against memory. Together with your help and the support of the village, we want to fight against oblivion and make the station grounds visible again. The work you carry out will take place outside and is mostly horticultural: this means physical labour with hoes, saws and spades to clear the site of wild growth and bushes. Work can be physically demanding!
During the work you will have the opportunity to learn a lot about the place and to talk to the local people and hear how they perceived the different periods. The Jamlitz railway station is also run in cooperation with the nearby Lieberose Memorial in Jamlitz and the young residents are often involved in its upkeep. You can also become active at the memorial site and help to maintain the greenery and work against forgetting.
In our bicycle workshop, you can repair bicycles and take them on trips to the nearby Schwansee lake and through the meadows and forests.

Jamlitz is situated in a very rural location and has many exciting things to offer in addition to relaxing nature, bathing lakes and a historic landscape that can be explored on foot or by bike. At the end of the 19th century, Berlin artists discovered this place and founded an artists' colony, which still characterises the identity of the village today. During the National Socialist era, a large military training area was to be built here. The project met with resistance from the local population and was never completed. However, a satellite camp of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp was built, which sadly earned the village a reputation as one of the most important sites of the Shoah in Brandenburg. After liberation from National Socialism, both the camp and the military training area continued to be used by Soviet troops. The railway station was at the centre of all these events and today bears witness to the different areas.
You will have the opportunity to get to know the history in various ways. On guided tours and seminars, through conversations with locals and explorations on your own, you can uncover and understand the overlapping layers.
We also think together about which excursions and activities can be organised. Whether a visit Cottbus or Eisenhüttenstadt or Berlin is up to you.

Volunteers will be accommodated in the former railway station, there are rooms with several beds, sleeping bags must be brought along. We will cook and eat together with the residents of the railway station. If you want, you can spend the night in a tent, we can set up tents for this purpose.
Requisiti e materiali
Please bring a sleeping bag, possibly a pillow, towel, with you. You will need work clothes, rain gear and sturdy, closed shoes. As it can get cold at night in August, even in summer, please bring warm clothing. Don't forget sun protection in case of strong sun. For your free time, please bring a swimming costume, music, your talents and something specific from your life.
The project is in a very rural location. There is a swimming lake about 15 minutes away by bike. Volunteers should be able to cycle and swim safely.
Alcohol and drugs are not permitted in the project itself. After registration, we require a self-declaration on child and youth protection.

The “Justus Delbrück Haus” | Akademie für Mitbestimmung (Academy for Co-determination) in the former Railway Station Jamlitz is an open place where everyone is welcome and can take part in events such as exhibitions, cinema evenings and other events. The organisation Karuna e.V. (Future for children and young people in need) bought the disused railway station in Jamlitz in 2008 and transformed it back into a lively place. Several organisations are now working together here, filling the past, present and future with life. You will find both a historical site rich with stories to tell and a vibrant space for exchange, where, in addition to educational programmes, leisure activities also take place. Moreover, a residential community for former homeless and decoupled young people has been established. In cooperation with the Lieberose memorial site in Jamlitz, socially disadvantaged children and young people in particular get the opportunity to escape everyday life, take advantage of artistic, historical and experiential educational programmes and experience a democratic and self-determined life. The railway station is located far away from large cities and is surrounded by forests and lakes, meadows and fields. This is very conducive to working with the young people and is part of the educational concept. “Arrive and simply be in the here and now”.
