The participants will clear and tidy the environment and separate waste materials for future use or for recycling. One day volunteers will have a workshop on how to make art from recycled materials. The host is very nice and innovative and takes good care of the volunteers. They will organise interesting visits to nearby sights and events. The energy transition topic will be shared and discussed. There will be some interesting visits to local energy sources such as fuel peat producers who are changing their activities from fuel peat to more sustainable options.

The Alpo savannah is located in a rural setting in the village of Nummijarvi far from shopping centers and city life, but with great surrounding nature. Finnish idyll at its best. The nearest town Kauhajoki is 30 kilometers away.

Shared accommodation in a cottage by a small clear lake within a walking distance from Alpo Savannah. The cottage has a sauna and a good beach for swimming. All meals will be plant based and cooked together.

The volunteers need travel insurance for the duration of their stay. The EYA project is primarily targeted to European volunteers. Volunteers traveling by land (bus or train) for most of their journey will be eligible for a travel grant up to 100euro.

The local host is an association that maintains the Alpo savannah which is a sculpture park created by DIY artist Alpo Koivumaki. They repair, restore and preserve the sculptures he made from waste materials. They want the sculptures to be admired by visitors in the future as well.This camp is a part of the project European Youth in Action: policymakers for climate justice, supported by the CERV programme, improving competences in concrete actions for climate justice. The horizontal theme of this camp is energy transition.

ProgramCamp program includes team projects, discussions at the round table, social and sport games, performances in the open air, actions for peace and nature protection, meetings with people, visits to museums and sightseeing as well as presentations of the countries that camp participants and volunteers represent, etc. Every day the camp will have a country presentation, a subject to learn or discuss and a related activity. Teenagers will stay in the camp activities zone from 10:00 to 17:00. There will be one day off in the camp and at least one day of travel outside Tallinn. The day off is spent either under the leadership of a member of the school staff or in the host family. Camp activities will take place in the premises of the language school that is situated in the very centre of the city. To activate teenagers and run the program, there will be a group of international volunteers and members of the local school staff. Longer camp shifts include one trip outside Tallinn.

AccommodationThere are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the beginning of the camp):1) In the premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the camp participants accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Apart from bedrooms, the tea-room for rest will be also organized where teenagers might watch films, read and play board games enjoying soft sofas. Bed linen, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, minimum one school staff member and one volunteer will be staying with camp participants overnights to maintain life, catering and general order on the site. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that you must be inside by 22:00 the latest unless supervised outside by a school staff member. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners at school, lunches i together with other camp participants.2) In the host families of some of local participants who will join this camp. The apartments of the host families may be located in Tallinn or its suburbs. Participants will stay in a separate or shared room. You do NOT need a sleeping bag. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners in their host families, lunches i together with other camp participants in the city. Special requirementsWe will welcome any ideas to improve the program and your active participation in it. English is the camp language. The age of international camp participants is 14 i 16. Please be aware that during the day program of the camp the participants will be asked to leave their cell phones at their accommodation site to ensure safety of the participants and their engagement with the camp activities. To assure a safe environment for all the campers, we expect all our camp participants will provide their parents letter of consent (Parental Authorization) and travel insurance certificate.Participation feeUnlike the traditional voluntary camp, there will be mostly informal educational activities and guided language practice. Camp program implementation involves costs for boarding and lodging, domestic transport, materials, excursions, visits, cultural activities and general administration. Since neither EstYES, nor its partner ALPS receive any financial support for this camp from state or municipality, to make the camp happen we have to charge a participation fee from 350 to 600 Euro depending on the duration of the camp shift. This is a separate fee that is different from your country sending organization s fee you pay at home. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Thematic photo and video contests for camp participants will be organized.

For kids, youth, families and senior citizens - be ready for a colourful mix of tasks. The whole village of Mötzingen will benefit from your work. The focus will be on care and maintenance work on the large leisure area for all generations. You will maintain and renew play equipment, restore the sports facilities such as the two beach volleyball courts or the boccia court, create benches and picnic areas and much more. There is plenty to do on the huge site, you will be sawing, painting, hammering, drilling, shovelling, mowing.... The work will be supervised by community workers and local volunteers. Other smaller projects in the area of landscape maintenance and public green spaces will complement your tasks. You will probably also be able to support holiday activities for children in Mötzingen on individual days, but this is not yet entirely clear.

Mötzingen is an up-and-coming municipality with just under 4,000 inhabitants between Stuttgart and the Black Forest. Many young families move here to combine a life in the countryside with a good infrastructure and work in the industrial region of Stuttgart. Mötzingen itself has everything you need for your daily needs: a supermarket, other shops, a pharmacy, schools, a library, a youth club and many leisure activities. The neighbouring towns of Nagold and Herrenberg with their historic old towns are well worth a visit.

You will stay in a building of the municipality, which until June is still home to the ‘Villa Pusteblume’ kindergarten. Here you will find everything you need for everyday life, a small kitchen, space to sleep and chill out, a small outdoor area and sanitary facilities with a shower. If required, additional showers can be used in the neighbouring fire station. Of course, you can also enjoy the leisure area yourself, which is only a few metres away.
Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow (if required). Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

Become part of the first international volunteering project in Mötzingen - your support is urgently needed. Many local volunteers have built together with the municipality a large recreational area for all generations: The citizens are proud of it and it is very well used by children, young people, families and local associations. It is a place to be outside, meet up and have fun. On the grounds you will find a barbecue hut, a great adventure playground with a rope net pyramid, pirate ship, slide tower with tube slide, a football pitch, two beach volleyball courts, a small playing field with a synthetic surface, two beach volleyball courts, a mud area for small children, a chess field, a table tennis table and a boccia court. However, maintaining the large facility is more time-consuming than previously thought. That's why everyone is looking forward to your international support. Other tasks for and with children, young people, families and senior citizens in Mötzingen will complement the project. In addition to the work, the international dimension is an important motivation for the project - be prepared for a lot of exchange and immerse yourself in the everyday life of a German village.

The Peace Studies Center is located on the edge of a former battlefield. An exceptionally bloody battle took place here on a Sunday afternoon in July 472 years ago. Analogous to the well-known motto "swords to ploughshares" we redesign this to "battlefields to playing fields". The participants of the work camp will continue last years’ work and design different elements of this playing field. This means manual work with wood, metal, earth and colour and some gardening. Anyone who appreciates creative work can work on a video project under expert guidance, which is to be developed on the topic of tracing peace work in Sievershausen and send messages of current peace work.
You will learn some essentials of peace work and receive basic training in non-violent conflict management by professional trainers. Moreover, the respect for Human Rights und circumstances of war and climate change is being discussed. We will visit the memorial in the former Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. There will also be a chance to learn about working with young people in a nearby youth center. Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet young people and families in the region, the group will also invite people of the village and region to an “Evening of encounter” (Abend der Begegnung) at the Peace Center.

For the leisure time, the group can use facilities of the seminar house, the little parc around and take part in excursions to Hannover and Braunschweig.

The Peace Studies Center in Sievershausen (Antikriegswerkstatt Sievershausen) was established in the premises of the Sievershausen Lutheran Church community more than 50 years ago. During that time, the Vietnam War escalated and the Antikriegswerkstatt was part of a global movement against the war. Nowadays there are several buildings, including a guesthouse and the well-known "Anti-War House" with an assembly hall for our events, located in a park-like area along with a church older than 1000 years on the edge of the village. The peace center shows through its diverse program, that peace work has political, historical, educational and cultural aspects. Throughout the year one can visit exhibitions, readings, lectures and many cultural events. The peace education offers of the seminar area include teaching units, trainings for school classes and church groups on current and historical topics.

Legambiente per l’estate 2025, in Abruzzo, promuove dei campi di volontariato che hanno come obiettivo il recupero e la valorizzazione dei sentieri che erano parte delle antiche vie tratturali, infrastrutture legate alla storia millenaria degli agricoltori e dei pastori sulle montagne, e alla tradizione della transumanza, inserita dall'UNESCO nella Lista del Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale. I volontari aiuteranno nella pulizia dei sentieri situati nell'area del Convento di San Pasquale (nel bosco di Vallaspra), la cui fondazione risalirebbe al 1408. Gli interventi consistono nella sistemazione e pulizia del sentiero e nel recupero di alcuni tratti interrotti dalla vegetazione. Lungo il percorso sarà predisposta nuova segnaletica per consentire una migliore fruizione del percorso.
Lavoro
I volontari lavoreranno per circa 6 ore al giorno. I lavori si svolgeranno prevalentemente nelle prime ore del mattino. Gli interventi consistono nella sistemazione e pulizia del sentiero e il recupero di alcuni tratti interrotti dalla vegetazione. Lungo il percorso sarà predisposta nuova segnaletica per consentire una migliore fruizione del percorso. Cuore del campo sarà anche il contributo all'organizzazione di una festa tradizionale nel centro storico di Atessa, "Corti Antiche", un percorso di scoperta dei sapori del territorio ma anche delle vie, delle piazzette e delle ruelle di Atessa. Ogni anno sono migliaia i turisti, visitatori e curiosi che approfittano di questa magica serata per scoprire il buon cibo e la bellezza degli angoli e degli scorci del centro storico della città. Verranno organizzati spettacoli di musica, teatro e danza e allestimenti d’arte. Il filo conduttore dell’evento (e quindi degli spettacoli e degli allestimenti d'arte) è legato alla sostenibilità, con un tema diverso ogni anno. I volontari del campo guidati dal Circolo locale aiuteranno nella realizzazione e nella riuscita green di tutto l'evento.

Atessa si trova sulla collina che guarda la val di Sangro, a metà strada tra la Costa dei Trabocchi e la Majella. La storia dell'unione dei due villaggi longobardi di Ate e Tixa, da qui Atessa, fa riferimento a una leggenda molto antica, legata al patrono della città San Leucio d'Alessandria e a un drago mitologico. A pochi chilometri dal centro storico, in località Vallaspra, si trovano immersi nel bosco il Convento di San Pasquale e la chiesa di Santa Maria degli Angeli, luogo che trasmette un forte senso di appartenenza, d'identità religiosa, spirituale e culturale. Il Comune di Atessa crede fortemente in Corti Antiche, un evento che valorizza la bellezza del centro storico e che promuove i prodotti enogastronomici di qualità del nostro territorio, importanti anche per l'economia locale. Atessa accoglie i volontari vestita a festa per il periodo più vivace dell'anno tra luci e musica.

Legambiente Geo A.P.S. nasce ad Atessa nel 1989 grazie all’entusiasmo di un gruppo di giovani volontari. Da oltre 35 anni la nostra associazione si occupa del miglioramento della qualità ambientale e culturale del nostro territorio al fine di soddisfare il bisogno di partecipazione, coesione e conoscenza delle persone. Negli ultimi anni abbiamo combattuto contro il traffico dei rifiuti, il consumo di suolo, per la salvaguardia del fiume Sangro e dell'ambiente della Val di Sangro. Abbiamo favorito la nascita del SIC/ZSC Monte Pallano e Lecceta d'Isca d'Archi, luogo di eccellenze ambientali e archeologiche. Legambiente gestisce il CEA Casanatura Fontecampana, luogo di educazione alla sostenibilità per persone di ogni età. Dal 2017 gestisce il Centro del Riuso del comune di Atessa.

After the Chinese nvasion in 1950, the Dalai Lama, Tibet’s political and religious leader sought and was given asylum in India, along with thousands of Tibetan refugees. Today, there is a thriving settlement in Dharamshala, which is called Tibet-in-exile. To learn about Tibetan culture and religion, there are many places of interest at Dharamshala. Tsuglagkhang, Mcleodganj the residence of the Dalai Lama
is a must-visit, as are the Tibet Museum, Dalai Lama temple, Tibetan Parliament House, Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, War Memorial and Kangra Art Museum. The Tibetan Children’s Village, a charitable organisation, caters to children who are in the greatest need among the refugees. For the last 5 decades, it has run solely on the generosity of its well-wishers. The Tibetan Children’s Village, a charitable organisation, caters to children who are in the greatest need among the refugees. For the last 5 decades, it has run solely on the generosity of its well-wishers. At Gyuto and Namgyal Monasteries, you can interact with the Tibetan monks and get valuable insights into the peace-loving Buddhist philosophy. If you are in the right place at the right time, you could even be fortunate enough to meet His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama himself. Palampur, the Tea Capital of North India is famous for its beautiful tea gardens, which are a natural scenic sight. Tea lovers can pick up some handcrafted, fresh mountain teas here. Some of the teas available are Black Teas, White Teas, Oolong Teas, Green Teas and Tisanes.

La ville de Saint-Mihiel organise des chantiers de bénévoles pour restaurer des murs et murets en pierre-sèche, qui ont été reconstruits trop vite et peu durablement après les Guerres Mondiales. Pourtant, ils font le charme de la ville et représentent aussi des refuges importants pour la biodiversité (insectes et oiseaux viennent s'y installer). Aujourd'hui, l'ensemble est inscrit au titre de zone naturelle d'intérêt écologique et sa protection est assurée par l'Etat.
La mission consiste à restaurer les murs et murets de la Promenade des Capucins, au nord de Saint-Mihiel, afin de leur redonner leur aspect originel et sécuriser les chemins. Sur les murs maçonnés, les bénévoles devront enlever l'ancien mortier, réparer fissures et trous, et appliquer un nouvel enduit à la chaux. Ils rehausseront les murs et poseront des couvertines (enduit ou tuiles) qui permettront de protéger durablement les murs. Pour les murs en pierre-sèche, il faudra démonter et trier les pierres, parfois les retailler, et surtout les assembler avec soin en vérifiant leur stabilité. Le travail se fera en équipe, guidé par un professionnel qui transmettra les techniques traditionnelles de maçonnerie. Attendez-vous à un travail parfois physique, incluant la manipulation de pierres et l’application de mortier. Certaines tâches se dérouleront en hauteur. En période de forte chaleur, les travaux se limiteront aux matinées.
The town of Saint-Mihiel organises volunteering workcamps to restore dry-stone walls and small stone structures that were rebuilt too quickly and unsustainably after the World Wars. They add to the town's charm and serve as important refuges for biodiversity, providing homes for insects and birds. Today, the entire area is recognised as a natural zone of ecological interest, and its protection is ensured by the state.
The mission involves restoring the walls and small stone structures of the Promenade des Capucins, located to the north of Saint-Mihiel, in order to return them to their original appearance and secure the pathways. For the masonry walls, volunteers will need to remove the old mortar, repair cracks and holes, and apply a new lime plaster. They will also raise the walls and install coping stones (plaster or tiles) to protect the walls in the long term.
For the dry-stone walls, volunteers will dismantle and sort the stones, sometimes reshaping them, and most importantly, carefully reassemble them while ensuring their stability. The work will be done in teams, guided by a professional who will teach traditional masonry techniques
Be prepared for physically demanding work, which will include handling stones and applying mortar. Some tasks will take place at height. During periods of intense heat, work will be limited to the mornings.

Les bénévoles logent à la Base de Loisirs de Saint-Mihiel, située à 20min à pied de la Promenade des Capucins. Ils partagent les lieux avec un centre de loisirs local, et des vacanciers installés en caravane ou en tentes aux alentours. Les espaces dédiés aux bénévoles du chantier sont privatisés.
Au-delà des temps de chantier, les volontaires participent ensemble à l’organisation de la vie collective. Souvent réparti·e·s en équipes, ils·elles élaborent les menus, participent aux courses, préparent les repas et s’assurent de la propreté des espaces communs.

Volunteers are accommodated at the Saint-Mihiel Leisure Center, located 20 minutes on foot from the Promenade des Capucins. They share the space with a local recreation center and vacationers staying in caravans or tents nearby. The areas dedicated to the project volunteers are privatised for their use.
Beyond the working hours, volunteers come together to organise daily life on the camp. Often divided into teams, they plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces.
Fully involved in shaping your experience, you will also take part in decision-making regarding group activities and daily organization!

The main task is harvesting various berries and vegetables such as rhubarb, currants, raspberries, Japanese quince, then helping juice making and products packaging. But there is also weed control and fertilization with mulch in plantations, mowing grass, cutting branches, removal of bushes and wood chipping, assistance in the construction of various small buildings, vegetable beds and other necessary structures on the site, painting as well. And there is ongoing work of planting seeds. Working hours are 5-7 hours a day for 5 days a week. The exact work depends on season and partly on weather conditions.

LocationThe farm is located in Kanepi municipality just 11 km from Otepaa and 47 km from Tartu. When coming from Tartu, choose a bus to Voru and get off at the Saverna stop. Buses stop there quite often, travel takes about 40 minutes. Also you can come through Otepaa. Knowing you arrival time and place hosts will pick you up from there. Bus information is on www.tpilet.ee or www.luxexpress.ee. The farm is located in the tiny village of Aiaste. It is important to understand that it is calm and quiet place (there are no events in the village). But with nice weather, it is possible to watch animals like deer on the field, foxes in a strawberry bed and storks. While sitting by the fire at night, enjoy stars in the sky and listen to the nature sounds by animals such as badgers or raccoons.Leisure timeIt is possible to swim, make a fire, play volleyball, disc golf and other games or go for mushroom picking if you like it. There is a swimming lake in Valgjarv 4 km away. You can use various hiking trails. If interested you can visit nearby farms where you can get to know horses, sheep and other animals and see many other interesting things. Farm life conditions are simple but decent. Sleeping is in a separate house in beds. Bed sheets, blankets and pillows are provided, so no need for sleeping bag. There is outdoor kitchen with all necessary equipment. Volunteers can make breakfast and lunch themselves, and dinner will be prepared by and taken with the family. Washing is in the sauna. There is a dry organic toilet. Volunteers have to take care of their surroundings by cleaning up after themselves.

You could also visit some of the other interesting towns in the area, like Tübingen (approximately 1 hour away) and Ludwigsburg (approximately 30 minutes away), both accessible by public transportation.

In the first two days, you will be hosted in a cultural centre in Stuttgart, where there is a kitchen and sanitary facilities. You will be sleeping in the building’s hall, where a stage is. We advise sightseeing in the first two days (Monday and Tuesday). On the third day, you will move to the site of the festival. There you will be camping in a big tent, all together. Please bring your own camping mat and sleeping bag. We encourage you to bring your own tent, if possible!
Food will be available through the food stands, until the end of the camp, so you will not have to cook for yourselves. Sanitary facilities are given, but be aware of very basic festival standards: You will most likely be able to use the showers in the youth centre nearby, otherwise only cold, outdoor showers available and there is limited privacy compared to “regular” accommodations!

In summer, Stuttgart hosts a variety of music festivals and events. One of those festivals – called “Umsonst & Draussen” (free of charge & outdoors) – will take place in the middle of Vaihingen, an outer city student- district of Stuttgart. The festival will run for three days, from 2nd to 4th of August (www.ud-stuttgart.de). It is the biggest non-commercial music-politics-culture festival in Stuttgart. “Umsonst & Draussen” is organized in a participative way, where everyone can come and take part. It has been running in that unique and quite anarchic way for over 40 years now! Since 2013, the festival has been hosting workcamps and the international volunteers have become an important part in the festival organisation. By helping to organize this communal festival, you are contributing to a sustainable and inclusive community.

Volunteers are invited to continue the project GARDEN OF ENVIRONMENT – FIELDS for PLAYING AND LEARNING at our gardening land. It will offer different stations where visitors can learn and experience about nature and sustainability … very creative, surprising and funny! Volunteers will support the host in their Garden-, construction- and landscape design work. There will be physical work, using tools and working with materials like wood, rocks, soil. You will work outdoors most of the time. Last year a pond was created with the help of the volunteers! Volunteers who like to exercise can make firewood. Every year, volunteers are invited to get to know the local Perma Culture Garden and do some gardening there. While looking after the plants, there is the possibility to harvest fruits. Therefore, we are looking for 12 motivated young people who are interested in handicrafts, advanced training and gardening/landscaping.
Volunteers will get some insight in the principles of Perma Culture: how to create a productive garden which grows plants and feeds animals in a way that only a minimum input of energy and resources are required to achieve maximum sustainability to the environment? Interesting ecological and cultural projects/information from your country is very welcome.

The project will take place in a famous river hill and cultural landscape in the middle of Saxony at the foot of the Erzgebirge (“Ore Mountains”), 35 km from Dresden, 15 km from Freiberg.
The afternoons, evenings and weekends are free for personal use: sports, fieldtrips in the region and to Freiberg, swimming.
On the last Saturday, volunteers will join concert in the Farmhouse: Musician Frank Kaiser from Dresden will perform his atmospheric music (https://kaisermusic.de/). If you are talented as well, bring an instrument with you – drums and guitars can be provided.

Your help is needed to prepare space and facilities for the 18th Fokus Festival. An alternative 2-day festival (15th – 16th August) with several stages, many workshops, a speakers corner, food and drinks! You are invited to work together in international teams, composed of employees of RABRYKA and other volunteers from Goerlitz. During working hours you can create fancy furniture for the visitors, colorful decoration for the stages and the festival area, do some gardening or lead through your own ideas. Whether you like painting, crafting, working, gardening, cooking or designing- whatever you like, we’ll find a task for you. It would be great if the group could contribute something special for the Fokus Festival, for example decorating a graffiti wall. Goerlitz is situated at the very east of Germany. After WWII, it was divided and the area in the east of the river Neisse is now the autonomous town Zgorzelec and part of Poland. Volunteers will get a guided tour through Goerlitz and will learn about its eventful history. Moreover, you will learn about the current network of initiatives in the city, which offers a wide range of cultural and social work. In addition, there will be free time for a cycling tour to a lake nearby, bonfire evenings, a party and more.

"RABRYKA" is a unique space for youth culture and social life, situated in an abandoned factory ground. You can see it as an open space for all kinds of youth and social culture. Currently it offers a wide range of possibilities for kids, youth and adults: it unites different projects in one house, e.g. a youth club, a workshop and makerspace, intercultural or cultural education or urban gardening. There is enough inside and outdoor space for gatherings and sports, sharing things and opinions, playing music and partying together and … much more! The biggest event organized by the RABRYKA is the FOKUS Festival, in which you will also participate.
The head organisation of the RABRYKA is the “Second Attempt e.V.”, which highly motivates people to develop the civil society of Goerlitz. Everyone is invited to join meetings that focus on the vision of a society, which respects the values of tolerance, equality and cross-cultural empathy. RABRYKA is a fictional word connecting the Polish word for factory – fabryka and the first letter of red. Red are the bricks of the buildings of the former factory.

This project is inviting volunteers to deeply involve themselves in the renovation of the historic Yenping town street, and to experience the local atmosphere by repairing old houses and participating in agricultural life within 12 days in Xiluo Township. Xiluo Township, located in the middle of Taiwan, has a 360-year history and is the most northern district of Yunlin County. It is situated closest to the Zhuo Shui River, the longest river in Taiwan, and is known for its production of rice, fruits, and vegetables. The nearby river was used for transportation of people and goods for over 100 years. During the Japanese colonial era, Xiluo was planned to be a modern and role model town. In order to cooperate with the street-widening process, architectural facades were removed and buildings heights were altered. From 1925 to 1945, many stylish buildings were constructed on Yenping Street, with various unique architectural styles. In just a few years, an 840-meter stretch of the street saw the construction of hundreds of Art Deco houses that contain the essence of Xiluo s history and culture. Today, walking along Yenping Historical Street, visitors can see 142 decorated historical houses, most of which were built over 90 years ago. A century ago, Yenping Street was the downtown area and shops were busy with visitors, but now many of the houses are empty and old. The residents have moved with their families to other cities away from Xiluo, and Yenping Street has become quiet. Thanks to the Community Renaissance movement conducted by the Louyoung Foundation and the local government, the street has become fabulous. Over the past 7 years, the Foundation has invited many cultural groups and artists to stay in Xiluo for an extended period and host different performances. They have also hosted 7 international work camps that focused on renovating heritage houses. In 2022, Liao Jih-chou and Liao Jih-kang, overseas hometown acquaintances, donated two old houses (No. 110 and No. 112) on Yanping Road to the Louyoung Education and Culture Foundation in accordance with their parents wishes. No. 110 was the former Te-Chun Dental Clinic, and the Foundation has gradually entered the dilapidated house for cleaning and restoration. At the same time, the history of the Liao family was researched and artifacts collected. Invitations were also extended to resident artists to use their art to enter the old house. During the first week of the volunteer project, participants will repair the old houses (No. 110 and No. 112) on Yanping Road. Afterwards, they will clean the nearby garden of the local museum, experience agricultural life in Xiluo, and participate in a artistic creation workshop. We will stay in Xiluo Backpacker House (No.81). The house is near Xiluo Cultural Museum, there are comfortable beds, air conditioner, toilet, hot shower and kitchen in the House . Volunteer will have a great time here for sure.The backpacker house belongs to Rotary Club of Xiluo. They always welcome the volunteers and because of their kindness, we have to keep good management (to always keep clean, no smoking inside building, etc.).During the project, we will mainly use bicycles for transportation, so please ensure that you are comfortable with bike riding. We will be cooking our own meals, but there will also be opportunities to eat at local restaurants or purchase packed meals. Internet access is available at the Luoyoung Foundation office.

Volunteers will focus on revitalizing the parish garden, including terrain adjustments, cutting overgrown vegetation, removing unsuitable trees, and mowing the grass. In case of rain, tasks will shift to interior renovation, such as painting, cleaning, and scraping plaster. Location: The workcamp will be held at the Early Baroque rectory in Blansko, near Kaplice, located along the Malše River at the foot of the Novohradské Mountains. Perched atop a hill, the rectory offers a panoramic view of Kaplice and stands next to the Church of St. George. While the current building dates back to the 17th century, its history extends to medieval times. The site also features farm buildings, including granaries and barns, as well as a spacious rectory garden. The nearby town of Kaplice, just 1.5 km away, provides amenities such as a cinema, library, restaurants, sports facilities, and shops.
Leisure time: In their free time, volunteers can explore the nearby town of Kaplice, just 1.5 km away, offering a cinema, library, restaurants, sports facilities, and shops. For nature lovers, a scenic trail runs along the Černá River leading to the Hradiště hill lookout tower. Those interested in history can visit several nearby historical sites, with the stunning town of Český Krumlov only about 25 km away.
Study part: A planned excursion to Tichá Fortress will include a lecture on its reconstruction, providing insight into historical preservation. Volunteers will also attend a lecture on historical paintings and their restoration, gaining a deeper understanding of traditional art conservation. Additionally, there is a possibility of an excursion to the Velešín Museum, where they can explore local folk culture and heritage.

Volunteers will be accommodated directly in the parish building, staying in rooms that accommodate 3-4 people each. Hygiene facilities include two toilets and one shower within the building. Volunteers should bring a sleeping bag, towel and indoor slippers. The accommodation provides Wi-Fi and a microwave, but there is no washing machine. Meals will be prepared communally at the parish, with volunteers taking turns assisting in the kitchen. The cuisine will primarily feature traditional Czech dishes, including meat, but special diets such as gluten-free or vegetarian can be accommodated if needed.

The volunteers will help to build-up the festival area with tents, light and sound equipment and decoration. The Festival is 5 days ilong support needed: keep the area clean, sell drinks and food, join the kitchen team and prepare food for guests and staff. Afterwards the participants will also help to re-build the area. The working hours may be sometimes more than 6h and weekend are also working days, but there will be a compensatory time-off.
During the festival you will also get in touch with the international film makers and German locals. Of course, you will also have time to watch some movies. Stay tuned on the project partners homepage and fb-page to get informed about the program.

The city of Weiterstadt offers about 24.000 people a home and is one of the youngest cities in the Rhein-Main-area (measured by the average age of the population). Weiterstadt is located around 20 kilometers south of Frankfurt, has a shopping mall, a station and direct access to the highway A5. Local clubs in all districts offer people of all ages lots of possibilities for free-time activities. The castle in Braunshardt and the recreational areas in Weiterstadt and Grafenhausen are popular.

Your accommodation will be basic. You will sleep in tents, please bring a sleeping bag and and- a camping mat with you. Showers and toilets are in a building next to your accommodation. The festival area is near a forest. There can be bugs, bees and wasps! Food will be provided by the project partner and camp participants will join the kitchen team in rotation principle.

You always wanted to know how festivals work? You are very interested in cinema and movies?
During hot and sunny summer days, there was no audience inside of the cinemas and the local cinema of Weiterstadt (KoKi) decided to move outside with one of their movies .The Open Air Filmfest Weiterstadt was born with 58 shown movies in 1977. During the years more films had been shown (up to 200), the festival lasted more and more days (5 days), the audience increased (up to 1500), the open air screen got enlarged (72 sqm), the afternoon presentations got extended in a circus tent, the area was getting bigger. That means a lot of more logistic and man power is needed. Therefore, the help of the workcamp volunteers will be very appreciated.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

In the heart of Roye, the ancient ramparts have stood the test of time?but now they need your help! Join this project and help restore this historic site, a place where locals pass by every day, bringing back its colors and charm.
Your mission? Clean and clear the overgrown vegetation before repairing and repointing the damaged sections using traditional masonry techniques. No experience needed?you?ll learn everything on-site! Beyond the work, you?ll also help rediscover this forgotten landmark by sharing its story with the local community.

A special opening ceremony with the town hall, meetings with locals, and activities with the beneficiaries of the Social Action Community Center (CCAS) will make your stay even more memorable. You will be hosted in individual tents next to the village hall Guy Marechal equipped with a kitchen, and set up as a living space for your visit . Showers and toilets will be available in the rest room of the stadium in front of the living area.
Community life will be at the heart of the experience: you will share daily tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the animation team, and you will take part in grocery shopping and meal preparation, with a focus on healthy and locally sourced products.

Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues arise on the project, volunteers will have to pay for them, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.
