Do you like playing with children and would you like to help children from the district of Nordwestmecklenburg experience great holidays?
Then join us and look after 20 to 30 children between the ages of six and twelve every day in the Hanseatic city of Wismar and in three or four other towns in the district of Nordwestmecklenburg as part of the holiday play activities. With your ideas and your desire for creative activities, sports games, music and dance, make sure that these days are a great experience for you and the children. With games, songs and handicraft ideas from your home countries, you can give the play weeks an international flair.
On Monday 4.8. and Tuesday 5.8. you will prepare the vacation play activities and the press conference on 5.8. Afterwards, from Wednesday 6.8. to Friday 8.8. and from Monday 11.8. to Friday 15.8., you will look after the children together and with the help of the educational staff on site and implement your prepared ideas.
The vacation play activities take place in the Hanseatic city of Wismar and in the youth facilities of the district of Nordwestmecklenburg. The Wismar Children's and Youth Recreation Center will provide you with bicycles for the entire time. You can also use the bikes for trips into the city and the surrounding area. For trips to other places in the district, you will be given vacation tickets to use public transport if possible, or you will be driven by the team.
A good knowledge of German will make it easier for you to communicate with the children. Communication at the camp is almost exclusively in German and only in English in an emergency.
Please remember to bring some game ideas and music from your home countries!
Please note: The holiday offer is a voluntary open offer. Therefore, more or less children can participate on the days.

The Children's and Youth Leisure Centre (KJFZ) Wismar offers you a variety of indoor leisure activities like air hockey, billiards, darts and table football as well as an outdoor skate park, a table tennis table, a basketball court and a volleyball court. Bicycles are also available for excursions to the beautiful beaches of the Baltic Sea and the city centre of Wismar. The Hanseatic city of Wismar with its old harbour and old town is one of the most beautiful old Hanseatic cities on the Baltic coast.

You will be staying at the Children's and Youth Leisure Centre (KJFZ) in Wismar, where most of the children's holiday activities take place. You will all sleep together in one room on air beds. There are 3 showers, 5 toilets, a kitchen, a dining and meeting room and a leisure room with air hockey, billiards, darts and table football. You can also use a skate park, a table tennis table, a basketball court and a volleyball court in the outdoor area. You will cook together. Money for food will be provided. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please state any intolerances during registration.
Requisiti e materiali
You should have a good knowledge of German (at least B1 level), be able to ride a bike and an ability to work with children. Please bring some music and some ideas for games from your home country with you.

At the DRK Children's and Youth Leisure Centre in Wismar, children and young people meet to actively organise their leisure time and take advantage of educational opportunities.
The ijgd has been successfully running this workcamp with these project partners since 2009.
The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. Dal 2017 Legambiente e Diversamente Marinai sono impegnati nella campagna “Vele Spiegate”. In questo contesto Diversamente Marinai propone campi di volontariato in barca a vela di una settimana nell'Arcipelago Toscano. Il progetto prevede la pulizia delle spiagge poco accessibili via terra, il monitoraggio dei rifiuti, il monitoraggio e il controllo delle tracce delle tartarughe marine Caretta Caretta, inoltre andremo alla scoperta dei sentieri che incontreremo nelle insenature dove ci fermeremo e mapperemo quelli che non sono presenti sulle carte. Il progetto mira alla conoscenza del mare attraverso la navigazione e alla creazione di team affiatati e motivati. Per questo i partecipanti impareranno la marineria antica e a farsi equipaggio a bordo di un ketch a vela del 1922. Inoltre, saranno formati sulle principali linee guida in termini di sostenibilità ambientale della fruizione del mare. Non ci può essere vera salvaguardia dell’ambiente senza saper apprezzare il paesaggio naturale. Il campo di lavoro vuole realizzare interventi concreti per migliorare la qualità ambientale mostrando all'equipaggio come vivere sul mare e con il mare sia un’esperienza indimenticabile. Le attività del campo sono arricchite dalla pratica quotidiana della riduzione degli sprechi che la vita di bordo comporta e dalla possibilità di spostarsi utilizzando prevalentemente il vento. Vele Spiegate è un progetto inserito nella Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenibile del Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscano per il periodo 2021-2025. Didattica della vela e la vita di bordo: l’attività prevede un corso di primo livello di navigazione a vela e conduzione di un’imbarcazione storica, attraverso la sperimentazione diretta delle nozioni acquisite.
Pulizia e monitoraggio delle spiagge accessibili solo dal mare: il progetto prevede la pulizia di alcune spiagge difficilmente accessibili via terra, attraverso la rimozione dei rifiuti. In tale occasione saranno anche monitorati i rifiuti attraverso la tecnica del Beach litter riportando dati e riflessioni su appositi moduli, fornendo dati che saranno utilizzati per scopi scientifici.
Ricerca e monitoraggio delle tracce della tartaruga Caretta caretta: i partecipanti impareranno a riconoscere le tracce della tartaruga e saranno impegnati anche nella ricerca delle stesse e nella sensibilizzazione di cittadini e turisti.
Mappatura sentieri: verrà monitorato lo stato dei sentieri che collegano le principali vie sentieristiche dell’isola alle spiagge e insenature, raggiungibili prevalentemente a piedi, e presso le quali faremo sosta con la nostra imbarcazione; e eventuale pulizia o segnalazione delle criticità riscontrate

L'Arcipelago toscano è formato da un gruppo di sette isole maggiori, di cui la più grande è l'isola d'Elba, più alcune minori, secche e scogli situati tra la terraferma toscana e la Corsica. L'arcipelago è bagnato da quattro mari: il mar Ligure a nord dell'isola d'Elba, il canale di Piombino a est, il mar Tirreno a sud e il canale di Corsica a ovest delle coste elbane. Il canale di Corsica e il canale di Piombino possono essere considerati come canali naturali di collegamento tra il mar Ligure e il mar Tirreno, rispettivamente a ovest e ad est dell'isola d'Elba.

Acquisizione delle conoscenze veliche di base per la conduzione di un’imbarcazione in sicurezza. Acquisizione delle conoscenze di base di marineria storica. Incremento della conoscenza di alcuni ambienti naturali dell’Arcipelago Toscano e della sua biodiversità. Apprendimento relativo alle emergenze ecologiche dell’ecosistema marino e costiero e correlazione con le abitudini di consumo e trattamento dei rifiuti. Attività formative di base volte al riconoscimento delle tracce della tartaruga marina (Caretta Caretta).
Alloggio
I partecipanti alloggeranno su un ketch a vela in legno del 1922 di 16,5 metri. I pasti verranno preparati in barca e si seguirà un'alimentazione prevalentemente vegetariana.

BACKGROUND
Nyamira missionaries was founded and registered with social development in 2002 in Kenya.
The organization is located at Nyaramba -Nyamira County in South Nyanza Region of Kenya.
The organization consists of 137 members consisting men, women, youth who vary the age of 18 years to even 80 years. The organization has the office at Nyaramba market in Nyamira county about 10 km from Nyamira town on way to Ikonge town ship center.
The organization is managed is managed by executive committee that consists of chairperson, vice chairperson, the secretary, Vice Secretary, Treasurer and 5 members.
The organization runs the following projects;
NYARAMBA MISSIONARIES CENTER
The project attracts local and international travellers who come to relax and watch the following activities;
a. The traditional Gusii cultural dances. These live performances that one session takes 1 hour. The dance troupe dances all Gusii cultural styles in African attires .It offers entertainment, education and information. The dance is quite vigorous and moving
b. The artefacts are also displayed for general viewing and sale for both local and international visitors. These items are made by group members and it is one way of raising the income to up keep the organization and create self-employment for the members who always assemble at organization center to engage in this activity. They are professional and they have had exchange program with Burundi and Malawi in the past. The organization is looking for partners and volunteers from local and international level to run the program.
c. The volunteers’ rooms that are self-contained ,clean, have warm water, and have even all facilities even for cooking for those local and international tourists who may wish to prepare for their own choice of food. The rooms are allocated at organization offices in good conducive environment with security and friendly neighbouhood. The organization welcomes local and international tourists to come for holidays and weekends to its facilities
d. The organization engages in African beautiful baskets weaving that takes place at its organization premises. They sell locally and internationally. Therefore the organization is looking for partners and volunteers to create the market in Kenya and across the country.

• Mount Olives Self Help Group project is an initiative of young professionals who came up together to work amongst their community through sharing knowledge and helping the community to pull up resources together or their development.
• The group was founded on 16th October 2018 dedicated to supporting small-scale sustainable development initiatives mainly primary healthcare, education and youth enterprises.
• The founder Mr. Calvin Lizanga is a medical practitioner by profession, is the chief executive officer of the institution and he has track record working with relevant departments on health issues.
• The medical center caters for the poor of the poorest within the local community and foremost treats an average of 50 patients every day and this reflects on the significance of the institution to alleviate sufferings at the grassroots.
Geographical location:
1. The projects offices are located at Mosocho market, along Kisii-Oyugis Road. At Mosocho we are running a community health center that provides both outpatient, inpatient and laboratory services.
2. The facility supports the community by providing affordable healthcare and also works towards community education on matters of health to reduce prevalence of preventable diseases, and supports the youths by providing youth friendly services.

Sessa Aurunca, ultimo Comune campano, al confine con il Lazio. Questa cittadina sorge alle pendici del vulcano di Roccamonfina e vanta un felicissima posizione geografica, a pochi passi dal mare e dalla montagna, ma soprattutto quasi a metà strada tra due centri importanti come Napoli e Roma.
Il territorio di Sessa Aurunca, ricco e vario, vanta una serie di bellezze naturalistiche e di prodotti enogastronomici e artigianali di prestigio. Nel corso del tempo la città si è arricchita di numerose chiese, conventi e monasteri, conservati intatti ancora oggi.
Sessa Aurunca è città di antica origine: nel suo territorio sono presenti tracce preistoriche e necropoli
risalenti all'VIII secolo a.C. Centro importante degli Aurunci. Nell'età imperiale conosce la sua massima espansione urbana. Innumerevoli reperti storici : Teatro Romano, Museo archeologico nazionale, Duomo, Castello Medievale.

Alla fine degli anni ’70 si costituì, a Sessa Aurunca, con Alfredo Petteruti e Carlo Marcantonio Tibaldi, nostri Padri Ambientalisti, il “Comitato di Salute Pubblica del Garigliano” con l’obiettivo di Chiudere la Centrale Termo-Nucleare del Garigliano.
Il motto dell’Associazione è “pensare globalmente, agire localmente” ed è appunto quello che abbiamo fatto in decenni di attivismo.
La vigile presenza del Comitato, prima, con Alfredo Petteruti, e di Legambiente poi, riuscì a salvare gli ultimi 3 km del litorale di Baia Domizia da una ulteriore colata di 90.000 mc di cemento, speculazione di 9 km di litorale.

Etudes et Chantiers organise depuis bientôt 10 ans des chantiers au plateau de l'Avant-Garde, lieu de l'ancienne forteresse, pour restaurer le superbe patrimoine de la ville. Cette année, les bénévoles interviendront directement au niveau des vestiges du château médiéval, dans la suite des autres chantiers. En accueillant le chantier, Pompey souhaite faire découvrir aux internationaux la culture locale et ouvrir la population à d'autres cultures et de nouveaux modes de vie.
Les travaux se concentrent autour de différents ouvrages en pierre qui menacent de s'effondrer, ce qui peut mettre en péril le bâtiment et ses jardins. Ainsi, le chantier portera sur le démontage et le remontage d'un mur extérieur dans les jardins, qui menace de s'effondrer et perturbe esthétiquement l'ensemble rénové, et la réfection des enduits en chaux de la cuisine qui protègent les pierres des infiltrations d'eau.
Avec l'aide d'un·e professionnel·le de la maçonnerie traditionnelle, les bénévoles seront amené·e·s à fabriquer du mortier à la chaux, débâtir le mur puis réassembler des pierres, réaliser des enduits, joints et couvertures, dans le respect des techniques anciennes. Attends-toi à un travail parfois physique. Certaines tâches se dérouleront en hauteur. En période de forte chaleur, les travaux se limiteront aux matinées.
For nearly 10 years, we have been organizing projects at the Plateau de l'Avant-Garde, the site of the former fortress, to restore the town’s beautiful heritage. This year, volunteers will work directly on the remains of the medieval castle, continuing the efforts of previous projects. By hosting the project, Pompey aims to introduce international volunteers to the local culture while also opening up the local population to other cultures and new ways of life.
The work at the castle focuses on various stone structures that are in great need of repair, as some are at risk of collapsing, which could endanger the building. This year’s project will focus on dismantling and rebuilding the north curtain wall, which has been severely damaged by time. With the help of a traditional masonry professional, volunteers will clear vegetation from the ruins, restore their appearance, make lime mortar, dismantle and reassemble stones, and apply plaster, joints, and coverings in line with ancient techniques.
Be prepared for physically demanding work. Some tasks will take place at height. During periods of intense heat, work will be limited to the mornings.

Chaque été, la commune accueille des bénévoles internationaux depuis de nombreuses années. Depuis le début du projet, la ville a pour objectif de mettre en avant la solidarité internationale pour des travaux utiles aux habitant.e.s, et l'organisation de moments de rencontre festifs. Les matins, le groupe s'attèle aux missions du chantier :
- Ensemble, le groupe organise une fête pour les habitants de la ville ! Musique, décoration, nourriture, animations... c'est vous qui décidez !
- Construisez ensemble le nouveau visage des quartiers de la ville ! Peinture, bricolage, jardinage... plein de projets vous attendent !
Les après-midi, la ville organise un planning d'activités autour du sport et de la culture : initiations insolites, des découvertes locales, des randonnées, jeux...
The town has been welcoming international volunteers every summer for many years. The philosophy of the project is to bring together the residents of Joeuf and young people from around the world, allowing them to share their cultures and build connections. The theme of the project is simply friendship! Friendship between humans, between cultures, and between humans and nature— a value that is important to nurture.
This project offers the opportunity to meet young residents of Joeuf, who will join the group during the day for the work and activities. Since the beginning of the project, the town has aimed to highlight international solidarity through useful work for the local community, along with organising festive moments.

The international group is accommodated at the town's sports hall. A dormitory is privatized for the occasion, along with showers, restrooms, a kitchen, and a shared living space. The neighbors are the basketball players from the professional team, who sometimes come to train and may teach you a few passes!

The general objective of the work camp is to show the environmental reality of a territory and how to intervene in it by:
1. Contributing to the improvement and conservation of the Natural Area of Sils wetlands.
2. Knowing the biodiversity and the characteristic habitats of these humid zones
3. Knowing the land stewardship, the actors in the territory that participate and good practices.
4. Transmitting values of cooperation and respect towards the environment and its inhabitants.
5. Offering a space for exchange and discovery of the different realities of the participants, mainly in environmental issues and for the conservation and management of natural spaces.
6. Encouraging responsible consumption in every way. On the one hand, as an important measure for our environment; on the other hand, in the use of new technologies and other aspects related to the care of oneself and the community.
7. Promoting participants to become diffusers.
8. Showing Catalan culture through vividness and networking.
The volunteers will work 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday, and the rest of the day there will be environmental education workshops, games, swimming pool and leisure time. The local population will not participate in the actions but they will participate in the leisure activities such as traditional dances, the astronomy workshop, etc.

Sils Lake is a protected natural area included in the Plan of Spaces of Natural Interest (PEIN) of Catalonia. It is part of the European Network of Natural Spaces Natura 2000, which is at the core of European biodiversity policies. In recent centuries, areas of natural flooding have receded and today they are scarce in Catalonia. In our Mediterranean context, the conservation of spaces such as the Sils Lake has become of the highest interest. Due to its special humidity and flood conditions, several species of flora and fauna characteristic of wetlands are still preserved in this area.
Sils will be your accommodation town in your stage in Catalunya. Sils is a municipality and town of the “comarca de la Selva”. It is located at the bottom of the “comarca” plain and its southern third was occupied until the mid-nineteenth century by the lake of Sils, which we will restore. The town has 6.093 citizens and it’s located near Girona, Lloret de Mar or Sta. Coloma de Farners.
Lake Sils is a protected natural area in accordance with the legislation of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and has been proposed to be included in the European Natura 2000 network. It is the remains of a lagoon that was drained in the past in order to obtain new farmland and fight malaria. However, thanks to the conditions of special humidity and the annual floods, species of flora and fauna characteristic of the humid zones are still conserved. In recent centuries, areas of natural flooding in Catalonia have suffered a major recession and are currently scarce in Catalonia. On the other hand, in a predominantly Mediterranean context, the conservation of natural spaces such as the Sils lake is one of the most interesting.
There will be leisure activities every day, and some days some excursions, here attached a list of the main activities that will be done:

The accommodation is located in the "Sala Cultural" of La Laguna (the local cultural center).
La Laguna is a space of about 800m2, with different rooms. On the one hand, at the bottom there is a very large entrance that is used as an entrance but also as a room for activities due to its capacity. And right next door it has a kitchen. On the other hand, there are separate boys and girls toilets, between this room and the large room. All the volunteers will sleep in the same space all together.
The large hall is about 510 m2, where all kinds of activities take place (plays, dances, etc.). This would be the sleeping and resting area for the participants.
At the top there are two more spaces, which would be "el galliner" and a very large corridor that is also used as a room for some activities. In addition, it has two offices and a material and cleaning room. The equipment has a kitchen with the basics and the food as much as possible will be organic.
The menu is balanced with fresh products every day so that it provides all the necessary nutrients with the environment in mind, but since they consume practically no fish and little meat, it means no meat is eaten daily. We accept vegetarian and vegan participants and consider the whole issue of food allergies. No problem if you are vegetarian, vegan and/or with allergies and/or intolerance; If there are vegetarian participants, they must say so at the time of registration because the organization will consider an alternative menu.
There will be a total of 5 meals throughout the day, breakfast early in the morning, a mid-morning break to eat fruit or snacks, lunch, afternoon snack and finally dinner.
The participants will be organized in groups and will have to cook the food in rotation. There is a basic kitchen to be able to cook and also a microwave. It is not recommended that participants can eat and use the kitchen outside the established hours.
The dining room is equipped with tables and benches, and there will be an area of toilets and showers. In addition, we hope to be able to go to the pool and, in our case, exceptionally, use the showers of that equipment.
There is Wifi and electricity, there is no washing machine or dryer and volunteers will wash by hand and dry their clothes upstairs.

Emys Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of nature, especially wetlands and the terrapin Emys orbicularis, that give the name to the Foundation. Born in 2003, Emys foundation is located close to Riudarenes on a country farm called Can Moragues. Emys orbicularis is the native terrapin of Catalunya, north Africa and most parts of Europe. In 1987 a group of young people discovered through a talk that in his region there was an endangered terrapin, the Emys orbicularis. They decided to do something to help that species. Those people started doing custody agreements with local territory owners to protect ponds, streams and lakes. And this is how Emys Foundation starts. Actually, Emys orbicularis is still endangered because of the destruction of the habitat, exotic species and water contamination. In the Selva region we found the best-preserved population in Catalonia with more than 500 animals. The organization works with a conciliatory view, where the challenge is involving the owners, managers and users of the territory in the natural heritage values, its sustainable management and its long-term conservation. All this is done by voluntary work, land stewardship, research, conservation, education and consciousness-raising. The organization has been ground-breaking in the field of amphibian and reptiles and has been awarded on different occasions. The research projects made by Emys Foundation receive advice from investigation groups of different Universities (University of Barcelona, University Autonoma of Barcelona, University of Girona and also the Aranzadi Science Society). The technicians of Emys Foundation are also university investigators and take part actively in the writing and publication of scientist articles, congress executions and technical conferences. All the information collected in the research projects of the Foundation is used to evaluate and improve our methods of natural environmental management.

Just a short walk from the village, at the edge of a forest, lies a picturesque setting where you will work for about 6 hours a day. The goal of this workcamp is to rebuild a wall that is at risk of collapsing. This task is essential for enhancing and securing this site, which has tourist potential. You will learn traditional dry stone masonry techniques. No prior experience is required! You will work as a team and also participate in daily collective tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, dishwashing, and activities with the local population.

Whether in the afternoon or on weekends, your group will organize leisure activities. The interests of everyone, local opportunities (the village farm, craft brewery, Oricourt Castle, summer concerts, hiking, etc.), and the available budget will influence your choices.

You will be accommodated in a mixed-gender large shared tent for eight people, where bunk beds with mattresses will be set up. You will also have access to a communal building with a new kitchen. Showers and washing machines will be available at the locals' homes, who always show great hospitality! However, a shower in the communal building is available at any time. Wi-Fi is available at the municipal building, which is just a short walk from the campsite. You will only need to bring your sleeping bag and pillow.
A 15-minute walk through the forest will be necessary to reach the worksite, where dry toilets will be specially installed. For other transportation, the local residents will be happy to help with shopping or guide you on visits to nearby areas.
Accompanied by the leaders, you will prepare the menus based on a budget (around 5? per day per person) and take turns cooking daily meals. Vegetarian/vegan options will be available. In this village, you will be invited several times to eat at the locals' homes, another way to discover regional culinary specialties while sharing special moments together.

Volunteers will work on a small urban intervention. Work tasks include shaping the terrain, installing the marble run, assisting in the construction of changing rooms and a sauna, painting fences, marking trails, and clearing vegetation in the nature reserve. On rainy days, the work plan focuses on painting the city gallery. Volunteers should come prepared with required work clothes, including sturdy shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts for protection while working with vegetation.

Location: Odolena Voda, located around 25 minutes by bus from Prague, has a population of around 6,500 people. There is a nice city centre where you can take a walk. It has a few restaurants and also a supermarket. Phone coverage is very good in the area, there is an ATM and a pharmacy in the town.
Leisure time: Recreational options in the workcamp include football, basketball, beach volleyball courts or swimming in a nearby lake. There is access to a public grill to do BBQ’s and volunteers also will have the opportunity to do cycling trips to Mělník and excursions to Prague.
Study part: Workshop on public space - lecture on the concept of public spaces in the city, followed by discussion and brainstorming on the topic. Excursion to the local baroque church, literary evening in the house of a local poet, meeting with the local community - visit to the local volunteer fire-fighters (fire attack, demonstration of techniques), visit the archery club.

Each day of the camp will have a program completed by local coordinators and the volunteers will be helping to realize it. The main activities will be intercultural learning through finding differences and similarities between Estonia and countries, where volunteers come from (history, traditions, language, singing, dancing). Taevaskoja Youth Camp is adventurous hiking camp that has been active for over 30 years. The aim of Taevaskoja camp is to support children s development through non-formal education. During the youth camp kids participate in different workshops about health, safety, culture and enjoy climbing and hiking activities. Taevaskoja is located in South-Estonia, about 220 km from Tallinn. The camp site is very close to the one of the most popular natural touristic place - Suur Taevaskoda (The Large Heaven s Hall), surrounded by beautiful forest and close to the one of the longest rivers in Estonia. Such location brings children closer to unspoiled nature and gives them an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Estonian national heritage richly presented in the area. Your participation will help preserve biodiversity and beautify this unique site. In the first two weeks of summer holidays, the children who participate in this summer camp program get picked up in the morning; they spend their day from 9 am at the summer camp and holiday house and return home in the afternoon around 5pm. On Fridays, there is an overnight-stay and a common breakfast with the team and the children. Saturday afternoons and Sundays are free. Your tasks include:
- Taking care of the children: You'll be working with other local caregivers to take care of a group of 12 to 15 children.
- You will be leading workshops in dance, football and painting: If you have any ideas you'd like to include, please feel free to do so in advance!
- Support with set-up and dismantling, as well as logistics: To make it possible, it would be great if you could help in setting up some tents or other things needed.
Be aware that specific tasks will be defined spontaneously depending on the needs and interests of the children. The summer camp is located next to a forest and a sportsground which allow for many outdoor adventures. Please be prepared that, due to the nature of the project, working hours may be longer than in usual workcamps - but work and fun will be mixed.

Weil der Stadt is a town with almost 20.000 inhabitants. It has a very nice historical centre and is located at the outskirts of the Black Forest – perfect for hiking, if you are up to it! Also public transportation is good, so you can easily reach the regional capital Stuttgart, as well as Karlsruhe or Pforzheim. Free time will be used for trips with the hole group, so please let your camp leader know if you want to do anything individually.

You will stay directly in the Sporthalle in Hausen. In the building, there is a big room where you will sleep. The floor will be covered by soft floor mats, so it would be good to bring your own sleeping and pillow! Inside of the building you will find sanitary facilities and a fully equiped kitchen. There is no Wi-Fi or washing machine, so remember that you will need to wash your clothes by hand and buy a Sim Card for Data.
During the week you won't need to worry about lunch! You will have lunch together with all the kids. For dinners and during the weekend, your group will be responsible for going grocery shopping (covered with the camp budget), cooking and cleaning after yourselves.

You don't have to speak German to join, but it's definitely a plus! Tell us why you're excited to participate in this project, any experience you have, and if you know any German (even just a little). Oh, and since you'll be hanging out with minors, we'll need you to provides us with Certificate of good conduct before the camp kicks off.

Every year, the lovely people at the Weil der Stadt Youth Centre organise a summer camp for children, and it's a real hit! About 95 children aged 6-12 years old, take part in the camp, which is full of fun activities like dancing, sports, graffiti, hiking… The great thing about this camp is that it offers children from all backgrounds the opportunity to spend a vacation time while supporting working parents during the first part of the school summer vacations. What's really heartening is that for the past three years, international volunteers and caregivers from the town have been supporting the summer activities and local communities, making a huge impact on the children's lives and development.

The camp takes place at Granja Escuela, an 8-hectare farm with wooded and wild areas near the Tagus River. Amenities include hot water, heating and air conditioning. There are two dining rooms (teachers' and children's), a kitchen, adapted bathrooms, a multifunctional and psychomotricity room, and a rest and audiovisual room. Bedrooms have basic conditions.

The aim of this workcamp is to join MASNATUR in the summer camps, this association works to promote, through entertainment activities, the integral development of people with disabilities (especially children and young people) and to provide respite time for their families. The absence of autonomy, associated with disability, means an overload of work for family members. These families are faced with a time to rest or to devote to their other children.
Another element of inclusion provided by MASNATUR is the possibility of sharing these activities with other people and being enriched by the group. Many people with disabilities, especially children and young people, did not enjoy leisure outside their family or school environment.

VOLUNTEERING: There is a range of dates available for this project from 2-5 weeks. Volunteers will be part of an amazing ‘Camp counselling’ team where they will help shadow and learn the role of how to be part of an amazing Summer Camp team. Volunteers will help run games and activities with the young campers, making sure that they have a fun and memorable experience. Volunteers will also help to ensure that the camp is kept clean, tidy and safe by taking turns in cleaning the communal areas and making sure everything is running smoothly.
Volunteers will also have training and reading prior to the start of the camp to prepare for the role.

LOCATION AND LEISURE: Camp Crusoe’s home for the summer is the absolutely fantastic Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre in East Anglia, Norfolk near historic Cambridge. It is set in glorious private woodland with views of the rolling landscape, large fields and forest. Volunteers will enjoy socialising with other counsellors and during leisure time can go biking, swimming and canoeing.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD: An essential element of Summer Camp is the cabin experience. Campers sleep in a number of secure and modern cabins, separated into two cabin glades by gender. Each cabin has 5 beds, with volunteer cabins integrated throughout each glade – staff will not be sharing with campers, but with other volunteers. There is outdoor block very nearby with loos and hot showers, but also girls and boys facilities in the main house. All meals are provided by kitchen staff, if you have any dietary requirements please let Concordia know in advance.
As well as the purpose built main house and the cabin glades, there is a vast number of exciting activities on site such as the climbing wall, zip line, archery range, challenge zone and caving system, plus areas to chill out such as the yurt, log barns and hammock sanctuary, and then many bike trails and easy river access for swimming, canoeing and Kayaking.
IMPORTANT: – Even in the British Summertime it can be VERY COLD AT NIGHT – please ensure you bring enough warm clothes. Wet weather clothing and footwear is also strongly recommended, as the site can get muddy and even the summer can bring a rainy day.

PROJECT: Camp Crusoe is the quintessentially British Summer Camp experience, where campers feel connected, valued, challenged and supported. The host wants every camper to have a fun experience and is passionate about ‘making the most of every moment’. Camp Crusoe is a fun and adventurous camp and not a summer school. Camp Crusoe prides themselves on being a small camp that cares, there are no more than 80 campers per week stay; the host is passionate that community bonds are formed throughout their stay at camp and friendships that remain long after camp has finished.
The extensive programme of activities from water sports to drama, archery to photography, appeals to every type of child, offering the opportunity for each camper to grow in confidence, improve their decision-making skills and maybe discover a new lifelong hobby. We don’t try to cram too much in and allow just the right amount of time for campers to hangout, make new friends and play together. Camp Crusoe is a small, independent camp run by a close-knit team of friends and family who are committed to enriching children’s lives. The core group have many years’ experiences working with children both on summer camps and in the classroom and are supported by a highly trained and motivated team of camp counsellors, many of whom have worked at camp before and are planning a career working with children.

Csörög is a small, friendly village in Hungary, located near Budapest. The peaceful streets and green spaces of the village are perfect for a relaxing walk or bike ride. The local community is welcoming, and through various cultural events, you can get a glimpse into the life of rural Hungary.

While in Csörög, you will live in the afterschool building, in a big shared room on mattresses. Please bring your sleeping bags with you. A shower and toilet are available in the building, together with a superb kitchen. We will provide 3 meals/day for you (hot meals for lunch and dinner) . A vegetarian option is available. However, you will need to participate in meal preparation, and we will schedule who will cook on each days. All equipment needed to fulfil your tasks will be provided as well.

No special documentation is required. There are no language requirements, but you will need to communicate with the staff and the children in Hungarian or English. Bring clothes that can get dirty while playing, a sleeping bag, and personal medicine. Please send us a motivational letter focusing on why you chose to work with children, and what kind of related skills or previous experiences you have in the chosen field. You don’t need any special skills to be a volunteer.

Egyesek Youth Association organizes this volunteer program together with Csörögi Tanoda (an afterschool program in Csörög), managed by the Mahájána Foundation since 2011. They aim to ensure that the children learn according to their abilities, find a job they enjoy and become able to adapt to changing circumstances. To achieve this, they try to make learning desirable again among the Roma community of Csörög, where they are supporting 26 families. They run two drop-in centers in Chow Kit and one safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship. YCK operate in partnership with Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. YCK developed out of Nur Salam and was incorporated in 2011. The past workcamps since 2018 Sep. have been successful and in 2024, 48 vols. from Japan, Mexico and Italy joined 4 workcamps with creating great impact!

MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Bernice Home was found by a lady by the name of Bernice. She started this home for senior citizens who need quality home care services to seniors with limited mobility or dementia and hence social interaction. She started this home in 2000 and the second home in 2018. The founder belief “life shouldn’t end when you are old, it should be full of happy memories regardless of the age. The founder wants to keep the seniors active and engaged through physical, mental and social activities, all in the comfort of their home.The workcamp was revived in 2023 and in 2024, 8 volunteers from Japan and Hong Kong did great work!
