Berlin is known for its culture, energy and offering great adventures. In this project, you will also experience some of the quieter sides of the city that only a few people get to see. You are actively engaged in the preservation of the culture of remembrance. Specifically, you are dedicated to the repair and maintenance of graves of victims of war and tyranny (German and non-German soldiers and civilians) at the state-owned cemetery in Berlin-Reinickendorf / the Reinickendorf war gravesite. This workcamp is an opportunity to get to know the heritage of the past and learn more about how to promote a culture of peace through memorialisation and remembrance. Your work includes very practical tasks like cleaning the graves and grave marker frames. The maintenance of the grounds also includes the seeding of the lawn and the pruning of woody plants such as bushes, shrubs and trees.

At the accommodation you can make yourselves comfortable and enjoy a great time together slightly outside of the buzz of the big city. Berlin offers many great opportunities. After your work assignment, you can explore Berlin's city center, visit museums or simply relax at a lake. Your accommodation is also a great place to calm down and chill after an active day. In order to be able to pursue the diverse interests of your group, you will be provided with a city ticket for the duration of the camp, which will allow you to use public transportation throughout the city. If Berlin isn't enough for you, you can also get to other cities like Potsdam and Dresden
super quickly or take a day trip to the Baltic.

While thinking about your free time together, SELF-ORGANIZATION is the key idea. The group leaders will gladly assist with tips and advice, but will not organize your free time for you.
We expect that all participants will be prepared to actively help plan and decide on elements of the team’s group Life.

You will cook together. Money for food will be provided. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please state any intolerances during registration.
Please Note: Self-organization is also a key point of the camp during your daily camp routines. Shopping, cooking, and cleaning are all planned and done independently within the group.
Each participant is expected to take part in the CCC (cooking-cleaning-crew). The advantage is, of course, that you will have the opportunity to eat international dishes and cuisine at every meal and realize that cleaning yourselves can lead to a great deal of fun in the group.

Participants should be fit enough for physical work outside. Please be aware that the workcamp is an opportunity for you to meet interesting people within your project and have a good time together. If you plan on exploring Berlin alone or with other friends, please plan to stay a bit longer after the workcamp.

Participants will spend a night in Yeosu with all participants, exploring the city before heading to Geomun Island. There, they will collaborate with professional artists to create artwork using marine debris, household waste, and natural materials which are collected by participants in the island. They will also take part in producing artworks that benefit the local community such as painting and artcrafts. In addition to these creative activities, participants will have time to enjoy Geomun Island’s stunning beaches and beautiful ocean.
Participants will also have the opportunity to share their diverse cultures with local elementary and middle school students through food, games, art, clothing, photography, and more. This cultural exchange will allow both participants and students to experience the joy of diversity and gain valuable insights from different traditions and perspectives.
This experience is perfect for anyone curious about life beyond the city, where the vast sea meets a vibrant island community. It is also an ideal opportunity for those who wish to contribute to local development and foster collaboration within the community.

Geomun Island is a beautiful island located about 1 hour and 30 minutes by high-speed ferry from Yeosu, which is known for having one of the most picturesque harbors in South Korea. While it may seem like a remote island from the mainland, from the perspective of the sea, it holds a strategic position as a gateway to Korea. Because of this, Geomun Island has historical significance—most notably, it was occupied by British forces from 1885 to 1887.
Despite being separated from the mainland, the island has developed its own unique culture over time. Today, it is home to about 300 residents who enjoy a peaceful and happy life. Volunteers come to this island to contribute to the well-being of the community and help enhance the happiness of its residents even further.

Since the school is regarded as place where many important activities are happening, it is also notable that many local organizations have strong connection with it. The same will be in this case, as well. Since the project can be defined only by 3 areas on this platform, we can't describe everything that will happen, but here we can write more on that. Volunteers will do many tasks in cooperation with many associations in Požega. With those of social character, it will be decided which families are in need for additional support, so that volunteers can help to those in danger with their regular activities. Then there will be some visit to the local association for those with cerebral paralysis (help and workshops should be done there). Also, volunteers will be participating in the activities with local Gerontological center, where they will take care of the garden, but also meet older people that will be glad to see the guests. Still, we shouldn't forget that there will be things to do in school's yard, as well, with picking up the raspberries (one of the Serbian national fruits) and blackberries (another among many; Serbia is simply the land of fruits). Planting seeds, taking out the bad plants, feeding the animals-just few of planned actions that will be done during the stay in this marvellous place.

Požega is a cute place in rich with nature territory of Western Serbia. It has nice center where volunteers can feel the real town atmosphere (it is very alive, especially during the summer). Still, the school itself is located a little bit outside of it, surrounded by parks, so the volunteers can have free time to relax. School has sports fields for recreation. The town has swimming pool, so maybe some hot days can be spent there.
There is possibility to have certain excursions in the area, but more on that will be provided in the Infosheet.
The only thing we will recommend to take with you on this adventure is patience and smile and it will be an eternal pleasant memory!

The volunteers will be accommodated in the school dormitory in the rooms with 2-3 beds and bathroom (practically-3 stars hotel). Linen will be provided.
Food will be prepared together in the kitchen of the dormitory. The workshops on making Serbian traditional meals will be organized several times.

There are no specific requirements, but if you want to make your life easier, bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia.

"Shiki International Exchange Association" is an organisation in Shiki City, Saitama Prefecture, which aims to promote international exchange between foreigners and Japanese people. Kriusilla is a small farm dealing with beekeeping, vegetables growing and forestry. Volunteers will be doing some forestry work (cleaning and weeding forestry, planting trees, building wood construction) but also harvesting vegetables, collecting honey, cleaning and improving bee houses, possibly helping to build new ones. There can be also some light odd jobs in the house, building and gardening. The working day will be 5-7 hours depending on weather conditions.

It is easy and quite possible to go to Tallinn on your own in the free time to enjoy its attraction and numerous opportunities flourishing in summer period. ProgramCamp program includes team projects, discussions at the round table, social and sport games, performances in the open air, actions for peace and nature protection, meetings with people, visits to museums and sightseeing as well as presentations of the countries that camp participants and volunteers represent, etc. Every day the camp will have a country presentation, a subject to learn or discuss and a related activity. Teenagers will stay in the camp activities zone from 10:00 to 17:00. There will be one day off in the camp and at least one day of travel outside Tallinn. The day off is spent either under the leadership of a member of the school staff or in the host family. Camp activities will take place in the premises of the language school that is situated in the very centre of the city. To activate teenagers and run the program, there will be a group of international volunteers and members of the local school staff. Longer camp shifts include one trip outside Tallinn.

AccommodationThere are 2 options possible (subject to availability, which will become clear by the beginning of the camp):1) In the premises of The Language School In Down-Town located on the 4th and 5th floors of a business building in the city centre. In summer time, a part of the school is reserved for the camp participants accommodation that includes several separate dormitory bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, a dining area, a large shower area and two separate toilet cabins. Apart from bedrooms, the tea-room for rest will be also organized where teenagers might watch films, read and play board games enjoying soft sofas. Bed linen, pillows and blankets will be provided, so you do NOT need to bring a sleeping bag unless you want so. For the reasons of security, minimum one school staff member and one volunteer will be staying with camp participants overnights to maintain life, catering and general order on the site. To facilitate a smooth and safe environment at school during the off-hours, the entrance to the school must be kept closed at all times. The access to the school and accommodation areas will be managed by long-term volunteers or school staff. Please be aware that you must be inside by 22:00 the latest unless supervised outside by a school staff member. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners at school, lunches i together with other camp participants.2) In the host families of some of local participants who will join this camp. The apartments of the host families may be located in Tallinn or its suburbs. Participants will stay in a separate or shared room. You do NOT need a sleeping bag. Participants will have breakfasts and dinners in their host families, lunches i together with other camp participants in the city. Travel cards will be provided, pick up service at arrival is provided upon request.Please note: it is not possible to stay at any of the camp accommodation options before or after the camp arrival and departure days. Special requirementsWe will welcome any ideas to improve the program and your active participation in it. English is the camp language. The age of international camp participants is 14 i 16. Please be aware that during the day program of the camp the participants will be asked to leave their cell phones at their accommodation site to ensure safety of the participants and their engagement with the camp activities. To assure a safe environment for all the campers, we expect all our camp participants will provide their parents letter of consent (Parental Authorization) and travel insurance certificate.Participation feeUnlike the traditional voluntary camp, there will be mostly informal educational activities and guided language practice. Camp program implementation involves costs for boarding and lodging, domestic transport, materials, excursions, visits, cultural activities and general administration. Since neither EstYES, nor its partner ALPS receive any financial support for this camp from state or municipality, to make the camp happen we have to charge a participation fee from 350 to 600 Euro depending on the duration of the camp shift. This is a separate fee that is different from your country sending organization s fee you pay at home. International language camp is organized for teenagers by The Language School In Down-Town and the non-profit educational association Alternative Language Programs Satellite (ALP S) as part of their annual activities on multicultural issues for youth. The project s aim is to introduce the diversity of world cultures to the youth and provide them with good practices in intercultural communication by means of alternative English language practice which includes meetings, visits and direct contacts to young people from abroad. The project gets teens of 14 to 16 years old familiar with national traditions of the countries from all over the world, encourages them to develop their global thinking and individual initiative, tolerance and resistance to xenophobia and ethnic hatred. Camps give foreign participants a great chance to meet youngsters both from Estonia and other countries as well as to experience local life. This summer we offer you to participate in our project called KALEIDOSCOPE . We invite camp participants to discuss ideas of chaos and order, mess and harmony. Together, we will discover our own infinite potential and freedom to create new patterns of life, same way as we create patterns out of random single pieces of colourful glass twisting a kaleidoscope. We will learn how to find harmony in apparent disorder and use chaos as a tool for stress relief, how to turn imperfection into the source of true beauty and embrace uncertainty to make our life journey more successful, unique and vibrant. Camp participants will gain ideas and skills how to deal with a million of combinations of the world s reality.Meetings with local and/or international professionals in the field will take place. Thematic photo and video contests for camp participants will be organized.

ProgramThere are diverse activities in the camp program: canoeing, water scootering, running ATV, paintball in the forest, sport games - football, rugby, volleyball, athletics, table tennis, archery, frisbee, disc-golf, trampolines, different competitions, forest cross, sport orientation in the forest on and on sea (navigation), fishing, Viking boats, bicycle trips to explore the area, visit to the horse farm with horse riding, excursions historical places of interest in the area, active games and adventure trail in Roosta Adventure Park, picnics on a seaside, building sand and stones castles on the beach, Estonian sauna party, etc. Bikes are available for the whole camp duration free of charge. WorkThere will be also some voluntary work such as painting of community buildings, making wooden toys and games for local orphanage, repairing benches and tables, cleaning local beach and old local park from garbage, planting trees, little renovation works in the local school, clearing pavement, helping seniors living in the community with some household duties, preparing fire woods for heating, berries and herbs picking to give the crop to the orphanage and seniors home, duty in a kitchen and around the camp once in a shift, etc. The work will be organised in cooperation with local forestry department, municipality of Nova and local school. Please note that the work described above is planned for the whole summer and it may change from one shift to another depending on local needs, the season and weather conditions.

AccommodationIn wooden huts set by the local school nearby the seaside (500 m away). Please bring your sleeping bag and mat. Showers, toilets are provided in the school and there will be additional bio-toilets set on camping site. You can have traditional Estonian sauna every dayCateringMeals are served 3 times a day. There are water machines with cold water in the school complex. Catering takes place in the schools mess hall or into the lager tent outside near the mess. Meals are cooked by professional cooks. Special requirementsParticipants have to be sporty (e.g. be ready to run up to 3 km, bike up to 30 km), independent enough, curious and interested in active life style. Please inform us beforehand about allergies, dietary requirements you have or others prescriptions from your doctor. Please bring sleeping bag and mat, wind and waterproof clothes, goods shoes, warm and summer clothes. It s advisable to take thermal underwear. If possible, please take tick vaccination before coming. Generally, age of participants is 14-17, however exceptions are possible. NB Smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs is absolutely prohibited in the camp and this policy will be followed strictly Thus, if you cannot quit smoking for a while it is probably better not to come. Camp common language is English. Local languages are Estonian and Russian.Participation feeUnlike the normal camp there will be not too much of work here. Nevertheless, participants will be provided with board, lodging, local transportation and all equipment necessary to realize camp program. Besides, program involves a lot of extra costs for excursions, trips out, visits, sport activities, equipment, materials and general administration and leadership. This camp is organized for teenagers by youth sport club Lukas-Basket which has been running national youth camps for 25 years and International ones for the past 12 years. International teenage camps will be hosted on seaside in the West of Estonia in Laanemaa County in the municipality of Nova. Beautiful nature, numerous historical places, 200 years long tradition of health resort, unique cultural events are the treasures of the County. Nova with warm sea, white sand, mushroom and berry crops, picturesque lakes, cobble stone road and many places of interest is ideal place for leisure. The aim of Nova camp is to give young people possibility to have active, healthy and meaningful summer vacations with different sport adventures, to enjoy unspoiled nature and to learn to live in harmony with it, also to explore and realize their own capacities and limits. The program will include water activities, sport and ball games, eco-hikes, bicycle trips to places of interest, horse riding, fishing, rowing, acquaintance with local culture and many other exciting things. Mens sana in corpore sano (Healthy Spirit in Healthy Body) i this is the message of the camp Besides all this, camp gives possibility for intensive contacts between local youth and their peers from abroad, showing youngsters the diversity of world cultures, broadening their horizons and encouraging active communication through games and creative activities. Finally, there will be some voluntary work for nature protection and to support local community. The area of the camp is about 3 hectares and it can host over 60 youngsters on one shift. The tasks to be carried out during the next work camps in summer 2025 will focus on im-proving the maintenance of two train cars, finishing the primer phase and PAINTING, since no workings were carried out for about two summers. In addition, doors and exterior windows enclosing will be made. In order to get this done, the works will be the following:
EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE BODY:
- Plastering and sanding of the areas that require it
- Primer with antioxidant paint of the sanitized areas.
- Painting
? Enclosure making in doors and windows.
CEILING: - Cleaning of the sheet, covering of holes by fiber application.
- Primer with an-ti-rust paint.
? Painting.
Two teams will carry out the technical work, so that each of them has both interior and ceiling works to perform. That way, in addition to complying with the Occupational Risk Pre-vention Plan, two groups of maximum 9 young people will take turns in the following tasks, directed in any case by municipal and railway technicians designated to the effect:
FIRST WEEK
Group 1: ROOF. Manual sanding, machine-bound sanding, antioxidant priming.
Group 2: EXTERIOR. machine-bound sanding, antioxidant primer.
SECOND WEEK
Group 1: ROOF & DOORS. Doors cleaning, antioxidant priming (doors), painting (ceiling and doors).
Group 2: EXTERIOR. Cleaning, antioxidant priming.
The groups of workers will be made up by themselves, but it will be recommended that they all rotate by the diverse works so that the learning experience can be optimized. Every worker will be provided the corresponding Individual Protection Equipment items required by the Security Plan, which will be endorsed by the City Council. In any case, the City of Canfranc and the AZAFT are responsible for the technical works, being present at all times the monitor and director of the activity in order to survey and facilitate the tasks, assist the groups as well as to ensure the proper understanding of all instructions in English and their Spanish translations for the local technicians.
Specific Objectives:
1. - Create an educational program based on community service to strengthen self-training skills for the rehabilitation of railway heritage.
2 - To promote the values of effort, cooperation, solidarity and social involvement among the youth population as a collaborative example of social work promoting sustainability values in terms of environment and heritage, its conservation, respect, dissemination and integration into the social life of young people.
3. - Provide a varied, dynamic and recreational program, tailored to the motivations and interests of the participants, and open to their suggestions and initiatives.
4. - Develop positive feelings and affections in the participants about the program and the group, creating a positive working atmosphere among them, and cultivating good relation-ships with the town's neighbors.

Canfranc-Station is located 1190 meters above the sea level, the whole district occupies an area of 71.6 km?. Up north of the valley the winter sports stations of Candanchu and Astun are located.
Historically speaking, cross-border communications have marked the evolution of the val-ley: the Somport -also called at times the port of Canfranc- is the less steep and thus the most frequently employed border crossing of all the central Pyrenees. From the old horseshoe road, transformed in 1876 into a road, to the construction of the cross-border railway, inaugu-rated in 1928, and the recent road tunnel, the history of communications through the Somport has remained closely intertwined to Canfranc?s own history.
The village?s permanent population amounts to about 600 inhabitants, although its tourist character gives that figure a boost up to as high as 1500 floating permanent dwellers when hotel beds and second residences are taken into account.
Among its main heritage features and historical assets, the FFCC International Station stands out as a marvel on its own. The Station, built in 1915 and inaugurated in 1928 by Al-fonso XIII, was at that time the second largest international train station of the entire continent. The Church of Our Lady of Pilar, designed by Miguel Fisac in 1965, is another historical site of the village.
Testimony to the cross-border character of the area and as a memory of past rivalries, remarkable pieces of defensive architecture can be found all over the area. Perched on a high promontory, the Fort Coll de Ladrones dominates the view of the upper side and surveils the station placement, whereas clusters of Bunkers belonging to the Line P of defense hide in strategic locations throughout the valley, waiting to be found by the trekkers. Right at the southern entrance to the village, the fortified Rifle Turret from the XIX century gives way to the travelers.
Hidden on the deep vowels of the mountain, CSIC Scientific Underground Laboratory carries out a search for the subtlest physical phenomena in and environment of cosmic si-lence.
This summer?s Program is arranged with a good dose of Scientific outreach, as a collabo-ration in a Citizen Science Experiment is scheduled with the Canfranc Underground Labora-tory (LSC) of the CSIC. In addition to this main complementary activity, a series of other lei-sure activities are scheduled throughout the program, taking place on chosen afternoons, evenings and weekend days. Such activities are specified below:
1. Environmental study activities: walks, environmental interpretation, landscape readings, fauna, flora, geomorphology, anthropology.
2. Mountaineering activities: two hikes in the area of La Moleta-Buenavista-Ip and Estiviel-las
3. Afternoon excursions: Gabardito, Camino de Santiago.
4. Visit to neighboring towns: Villanua, Castiello and Jaca.
5. Mountain sports: Orientation, cartography, hiking, etc.
6. Leisure activities: parties, games and gatherings.
7. Training activities: workshop on European citizenship
8. Awareness-raising activities: heritage guided tours, European values

Hostel in Canfranc:
Traditional house of Canfranc refurbished as a hostel and ideal for convivial activities for over 35 years. The participants are accommodated in a 20-bed dorm. The Hostel has a large dining room with wooden tables, which can be used as a multipurpose room, venue for parties, meetings and workshops. Additionally, there is an extra room with TV, computer for public use, games, music, where it is possible to perform recreational or educational activities. Home-styled food is offered, with generous serving?s suit to cover the needs of adults who perform physical activities. Made by the professional staff at the hostel itself, in a professional kitchen. The dining room is spacious and connected to the kitchen. The group organizes the dining room according to their needs, taking care of the organization of tables, food, and leav-ing tables cleared and wiped off after each food service, since collaboration and co-responsibility are encouraged. There is also an outdoor dining room in the garden of the Hos-tel that can be enjoyed whenever the weather allows it, so as to enjoy summer nights. The municipality of Heilsbronn will focus on two different projects to renovate and maintain the town’s infrastructure, with the help of international volunteers:
- Preservation tasks for the “Vita Parcours’” fitness trail: Clear the over-grown plants along the paths and across the different stations, make signs visible, and clean the stations and trails of any leftover trash.
- Renovate the “Barfußpfa” (barefoot path): This path is highly valued and used by the local community, especially by children and families. It includes many different textures such as pebbles, moss, and pine cones. The tasks will require emptying and refilling different sections of the path.
Additional similar projects may be added. You should expect to be working outdoors alongside municipal workers in renovation or construction tasks. Do not worry! No previous experience is required since a professional instructor will be there to provide support and guidance through the different tasks. You will work 30 hour per week between 8am to 4pm from Monday to Friday with a lunchbreak on site.

Heilsbronn has some historic buildings, including traditional half-timbered houses and the unique "Heilsbronn Abbey"—a 12th-century Cistercian monastery and local cathedral. However, Heilsbronn city centre has also a lot to offer! You will find supermarkets, various shops, pubs, youth centre, a barbecue area, and other amenities. Additionally, the town can offer free access to the outdoor swimming pool for your group. Nature lovers will enjoy several hiking trails in the beautiful surrounding landscape.
The nearby cities of Nuremberg, Bamberg, and Rothenburg are also within easy reach and can be visited on weekends using public transportation.

You will be staying at the local youth club called ‘’JUZ’’. The accommodation consists of two large rooms and a smaller one where you will sleep on camp beds or mattresses on the floor. Please bring a sleeping bag! There is a small kitchen, a common room with sofas and games to relay and get to know the rest of the team, two toilets and one bathroom. A washing machine and Wi-Fi connection will also be available in the facility.
As we mentioned, local community is excited about your arrival! Expect local youth to visit the club to welcome, show you around, and spend time connecting with the group.
The group of volunteers will be responsible for meal preparation, which includes grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning up afterward. Food will be purchased with the camp budget and tasks will be distributed during the first days to ensure everyone participates. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and explore other more sustainable dishes.

Summer school aimed at promoting youth learning about the value of nature and the environment by bringing them closer to and connecting them with the local natural ecosystem. This fosters environmental awareness and provides them with learning tools, as well as respect for nature and humanity, through activities focused on the local flora and fauna.
- Volunteers will prepare with the help of the coordinators and campleaders different activities and workshops for the local children (we are looking for committed and proactive participants).
- Volunteers will participate in relaxion workshops, excursions, activities in the rural world and natural sciencies, manual and creative activities.
A space free of screens, warm, for learning and fun among all young people and focused on nature will be created. The participant will be instructed and will instruct to become familiar with the true protagonists of the camps, nature and coexistence. They will learn to know, respect and value the land and the inhabitants who populate it.
Knowledge of English is mandatory and Spanish or Valencian is valued.
During the summer, temperatures can be very high, and weather conditions may not be optimal due to this.

Alliksaare Farm s main direction is horse breeding. At the moment there are around 150 horses on the farm. The work can be diverse: it is to take care and maintain the pastures located by the sea - clearing around the pastures, building or removing fences, repairing fences, cleaning the stable. Another work is cleaning the coast nearby the farm from rubbish brought by storms. There can be some work for preparing food for horses for a winter time. However the major and the most important one is work with horses directly - taking care and training them. There are horses of any age but mostly young ones, so depending on your experience and willingness to learn more, it is possible to practice taking care of and training young horses. For example socializing and training foals, halter train yearlings and saddle and/or carriage train young horses. The work will be mainly outdoors. Working time is 6-7 hours a day. Work will be done under some supervision and guidance of the local host but mostly independently.

Hiiumaa, according to the Nordic sagas, emerged from the Baltic Sea as a small islet more than 10 000 years ago. The island of Hiiumaa was first mentioned in historical documents as a deserted island called Dageida in 1228. The first inhabitants settled down at the end of the 13th century. Nowadays, Hiiumaa is the second biggest island of Estonia with an area of 965 sq. km and a population of around 9 000. It has many historical and nature sights, and there are kind people known for their hospitality and good sense of humor. The island is referred to as a remote area of Europe, and EstYES feels particularly proud developing international voluntary projects for over twenty years there. EstYES has been cooperating with eco-farms all over Estonia for solidarity and practical support to local people who work in the agricultural sector keeping traditional lifestyle and developing new eco-farming despite all difficulties. Alliksaare Farm on Hiiumaa Island is one of such projects. This is an organic farm promoting sustainable lifestyle, and this camp is proposed for volunteers who appreciate and share its values, want to learn more about it and to help hard working people. You will have several tasks: helping to organise local life, particularly by assisting with the organisation of festivities. You'll also help to organise concerts and contribute to community life. Il campo Swimtrekking & Orienteering a Itaca risulta davvero unico nel suo genere. Oltre al piacere del NUOTO IN ACQUE LIBERE in uno dei mari più suggestivi del Mar Mediterraneo, il nostro soggiorno sarà arricchito da iniziative alla SCOPERTA dell’ISOLA DI ULISSE. Nuoteremo in acque cristalline tra reperti archeologici e lunghi canyon aperti tra le alte falesie, esploreremo le silenziose spiagge dell’isola e avremo occasione di conoscere la storia e il folklore locali. La nostra vacanza prevede una VISITA GUIDATA tra le ROVINE del “PALAZZO DI ULISSE” e la PARTECIPAZIONE al TRADIZIONALE PANAGIRI di Stavros–partecipatissima festa locale. Questo speciale programma prevede inoltre la combinazione del nuoto Swimtrekking con la disciplina dell’ORIENTEERING. I partecipanti saranno guidati da un Team Qualificato per il nuoto Open Water e per l’attività dell’Orienteering

- Fornitura per la durata del campo delle attrezzature Swimtrekking (muta-pinne-barkini-cuffia)
- 2 Istruttori Swimtrekking e 1 Istruttore Orienteering (che saranno anche i responsabili della conduzione del Campo)
- viaggio di andata e ritorno in aereo con partenza da Roma o Milano per Cefalonia o Lefkada e traghetto da Cefalonia o Lefkada per Itaca. Sono inclusi anche i trasferimenti sulle isole per rag-giungere i porti dagli aeroporti di arrivo. Sarà comunque necessario contattare la nostra segrete-ria per l’organizzazione del viaggio (in aereo e traghetto) per raggiungere l’isola di Itaca.
Lavoro
I volontari recupereranno i rifiuti dal mare durante le nuotate lungo costa e li trasporteranno a riva. Al ter-mine delle attività in acqua si progetteranno e realizzeranno delle opere artistiche, utilizzando solo i mate-riali recuperati dal mare e dalle coste. I rifiuti saranno riassemblati dando sfogo alla fantasia per produrre nuove forme che raccontano l’esperienza vissuta in mare. Il lavoro artistico verrà poi documentato attra-verso foto e video. Al termine dell’attività, le opere verranno smaltite seguendo le normative locali di rac-colta differenziata. I volontari svolgeranno inoltre le attività di Marine and Beach Litter- indagine sulla quan-tità e tipologia di rifiuti raccolti in mare e sulle spiagge raggiunte durante le escursioni, al fine di contribuire alla Direttiva Europea sulla Marine Strategy. Tutte le attività del campo, il lavoro in mare e il lavoro artistico saranno documentate con una macchina fotografica compatta scafandrata messa a disposizione dall’ASD Swimtrekking, insieme a un computer. A fine campo sarà realizzato un video con tutti i contenuti delle attivi-tà svolte e consegnato ai partecipanti (munirsi di penna USB). Altro aspetto fondamentale del campo sarà il censimento di specie marine e delle meduse. L’OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Speri-mentale proseguirà la collaborazione con Swimtrekking in un progetto Citizen Science estendendo per il 2025 la raccolta di informazioni su ogni avvistamento di meduse, tartarughe di mare, noci di mare e delfini.
Luogo
La bella e tranquilla isola di Itaca, famosa per essere stata la patria di Ulisse, è separata dall’isola di Cefalo-nia da un canale di 3 km di larghezza. La costa orientale è aspra e a strapiombo, mentre quella occidentale è verde e leggermente inclinata verso il Mar Ionio. L’interno è montuoso, ricoperto da pini, cipressi, olivi e vi-gneti. L’isola è ricca di piccoli villaggi e numerosi siti archeologici. Il mare dalle acque cristalline che si esplo-rerà in questo campo è ricchissimo di flora, fauna e reperti archeologici. Kioni è la località dove avrà sede il campo, un pittoresco villaggio di pescatori, con un grazioso porticciolo commerciale, caratterizato da stra-dine, negozi, taverne e café. Incantevoli calette rendono il luogo un vero e proprio paradiso terrestre. Nonostante ciò, determinati punti dell’isola di Itaca, sono particolarmente esposti alle correnti che depositano sulle spiagge e lungo la costa un notevole quantitativo di rifiuti con una altissima percentuale di polistirolo (si tratta delle casette in cui i pescherecci conservano il pescato e che poi finiscono in mare). In accordo con il Sindaco di Itaca sarà quindi compito dei volontari pulire le spiagge inaccessibili da terra. A completamento della pulizia effettuata dai volontari, sarà l’amministrazione locale a provvedere alla rimozione della spazzatura.
Attività formative
I volontari, adeguatamente informati in merito a flora e fauna marina avranno il compito di censire, catalogare e studiare i comportamenti delle meduse, noci di mare, tartarughe e delfini incontrate durante le attività di esplorazione lungo costa. I volontari seguiranno inoltre le direttive tema dei progetti Marine and Beach Litter per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturalistico.
Alloggio
Captain’s Apartment sono dei confortevoli e graziosi appartamenti (monolocali e bilocali, attrezzati di cuci-ne e ampi spazi comuni), situati nella parte alta del villaggio a pochi minuti a piedi dalla marina e dal caratteristico porticciolo turistico di Kioni.
Requisiti e materiali
L’attività dello Swimtrekking si basa sul nuoto. Sarà quindi fondamentale che tutti i volontari sappiano nuotare i due stili principali: lo stile libero e lo stile dorso. Specifichiamo inoltre che non sono assolutamente importanti i tempi di percorrenza e la tecnica individuale ma una certa abitudine all’attività fisica. Si richiede quindi una certa consuetudine con l’attività sportiva di qualsiasi genere sia pur blanda. Le persone molto se-dentarie non sono adatte a questo tipo di esperienza. L’attività di Swimtrekking migliora la propria tecnica individuale nel nuoto, sviluppa l’autocontrollo e la conoscenza di sé, fa conoscere una serie di tecniche quali l’apnea e il salvamento, studia la flora e la fauna, il moto ondoso, i venti e le correnti, rafforza e accresce le dinamiche del gruppo. Chiunque può quindi affrontare in maniera positiva l’esperienza di un campo Swimtrekking se interessato a sperimentare le conoscenze da noi proposte.

La ASD Swimtrekking è un’associazione sportiva dilettantistica affiliata alla UISP che da 30 anni organizza il trekking a nuoto in varie località del Mar Mediterraneo e del mondo.
L’attività dello Swimtrekking nasce con l’intento di esplorare e monitorare l’ambiente marino e si sostanzia nella realizzazione di corsi e stage, sia in piscina che in mare, le cui tematiche spaziano dalla tecnica dello Swimtrekking e dell’allenamento agli aspetti teorici e pratici della sicurezza in mare, della conoscenza della flora e della fauna, della tutela e salvaguardia dell'habitat marino, dello studio e della conoscenza dei venti, delle correnti e delle condizioni meteo-marine esclusivamente in funzione dell’attività stessa che porta. Le attività Swimtrekking coinvolgono bambini, adolescenti, famiglie, adulti e diversamente abili e seguono un progetto ambientale e sociale condotto da un team di educatori e tecnici del settore.

As there will be traditional Days of the Village/ Marjamaa Summer Fest on 01.-03.08, volunteers are asked to help it out doing various practical jobs related to its organization and running. This will involve cleaning and tidying up and other manual work. But it is also expected that volunteers contribute to the festival by introducing their national culture, music, dances, also food to local people as well as organizing games and fun activities for local children during the Day of the Youth and Children in the frame of the Festival. Be ready to work for some hours on the weekend

LocationMarjamaa is a village with ca 4000 inhabitants on the half way between Tallinn and Parnu. Distance from Marjamaa to Tallinn is 66 km. Being an administrative centre of community with 7000 inhabitants Marjamaa has several shops, department stores, culture house, cinema, couple of pubs, etc. Larger city nearby is Rapla (25km), an administrative centre of the county. Besides, it is possible to do sport at the school stadium, swim in the local swimming pool; also go for some visits to the places of interest in the area.
Alloggio
Volunteers will have simple accommodation in the rooms of the Marjamaa Community House right in the centre of the village, sleeping on mattresses. Please bring a sleeping bag. Toilets and showers are available. Volunteers will have lunches and dinners in the local canteen and breakfast prepared by themselves at the accommodation.

Special requirementsPlease bring sleeping bag and pillow. It will be great if you could think about your contribution to the festival and bring some materials, music, games for kids as well as national food/ drinks for it. If you can present folk songs or dances from your country or teach others it you really should not hesitate to do it English is the camp language.Participation feeDue to the lack of financial support for the project the participation fee of 175 Euro is requested from volunteers to cover the costs of board, leisure activities and administration. This fee has to be paid by bank transfer before the beginning of the camp. If you cannot make bank transfer, please contact your sending organization for solution.

It is long lasting good tradition for EstYES to organize international camps in co-operation with Marjamaa Community. It lies on the half way between Tallinn and Parnu, and it is known for its rich historical and cultural heritage: ancient settlement in Varbola, XIII century church in Marjamaa, numerous German manor houses of XVIII-XIX centuries and active culture life nowadays. Local authorities see in the international camps a powerful tool for local development - not only in terms of work done by volunteers but mainly for introduction multicultural dimension to the population of small local communities in the country. The camp will take place in the village of Marjamaa, the centre of the community. The main idea of this camp is to assist running traditional Marjamaa Summer Fest helping different practical tasks.

Supporting of children's nature camps, which take place from July 31 to Aug.7. Supporting various activities (farming/forestry experience, river play, BBQ, climbing, sports, etc.) while living together with the children, and preparing & cleaning up for the reception. Volunteers are also responsible for the safety of the children, providing behind-the-scenes support and encouragement for the children to enjoy their activities, and acting as a bridge between the children and foreigners. In addition, there is a possibility of doing environmental maintenance around the school. Work content may change depending on the weather, so a flexible attitude is important!

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education), organized together with Shirakami Nature School (SNS) since 2006. Shirakami Mountains is one of Japanese valuable preserved natural forests consisting primarily of beech trees, registered as a World Natural Heritage in 1993. SNS has a summer vacation program for children aged 7-12 who will play and live in the nature to grow their independence, cultivate sensitivity, and learn group cooperation. This is also good opportunity for children to learn about international culture through communication with international volunteers. Volunteers need to be ready to spend 24 hours with kids during kids camp except some free times.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 15 (Life on Land), organized together with Tabito Satoyama Restoration Committee (TSRC), since 2022. Tabito-cho is an area of Iwaki City with an ageing population, but at the same time it still retains its traditional satoyama landscape. Former NICE staff, her husband who took up as Local Vitalization Cooperator (organized by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) in 2019, was fascinated by Tabito area and wanted to pass on the local satoyama nature and culture to the next generation. The TSRC was set up with the involvement of local people. The couple's vision of a 'Tabito Workcamp Village' to enliven the depopulated and ageing town with a workcamp movement was launched. T From 2022, TSRC accepted very short-term workcamp in spring, short-term workcamp in summer and medium- to long-term volunteers were organized, and accepted a university group.

First part (30.07.-06.08.) will be all about the preparation of Windmill festival, which is very rich with content. The volunteers will be helping out to the organizers and the other volunteers in setting everything in its place (stage, fences, cleaning the field) and in decorations, because the festival will start on the 7th. During the festival (07.08.-09.08.), volunteers will help with the tasks (sell the tickets at the entrance, inform the guests, move things, things that need to be moved, keep the space without trash, help the musicians maybe, why not, etc...) for around 4 hours a day. All the rest-enjoying time!

Orom is relatively small village with almost completely Hungarian population in the Kanjiža municipality, in the North Banat District, Vojvodina province. It is surrounded by natural beauty with landscaped surroundings and friendly hosts. Settlement was founded at the end of the 19th century.
Orom was organized around railway station, important crossroad and the school. Many houses, stores, but also windmills were built gradually. It is agricultural area and many people are having farms with pigs and cows (that are taken care of with soul). Today it is well connected with Subotica (Szabadka), that is important center of that part.
Before the festival-festival, excursion to Subotica or other interesting places in the neighbourhood can be organized.
During the festival, there will be offered plenty of activities where volunteers can take part. Many workshops will be organized, collective reading, photography, potential circus productions, games for kids, cooking lessons, dance, and sometimes rides in the local chariots.
One secret (that is not that anymore) is that there is also a big pool where volunteers can relax in the hot sunny days.
Please bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures of this Serbian-Hungarian village is really important to the hosts.

The accommodation will be under the tents in the festival zone. Tents will be provided for the volunteers, but if anyone wants extra-comfort, it is completely acceptable to bring your own tent (seriously, haha).
Meals will be prepared together or will be made by the local chef, negotiations are still in progress.
Requisiti e materiali
No specific requirements needed, but it will make your life easier if you bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia.
