Your support is needed to improve facilities of the community: The estate is to become a place where people can discuss, learn and spend time together all year round. Up to now, the art, culture and political education events have mainly taken place in summer and outside - also because there is not yet a heatable roofed room for them. Together with the work camp, a room in a former stable building is to be renovated so that meetings and events are also possible in the colder months.
Secondly, we would like the group to help in the build up of the actual highlight: From July 26 to July 28 there will be an international festival. We will offer a number of workshops on the topics of promoting democracy, combating anti-Semitism and racism. The festival will address current issues in the region relating to anti-democratic structures, as well as the current situation in Israel and Gaza. It is all about exchange and networking. The study part is about the history of the estate, a history of Jewish self-organisation under the pressure of National Socialist persecution. How can culture of remembrance function in rural areas? What is the significance of remembering the past at all for our societies today? What are the challenges? Theoretical aspects of democracy and the possibilities of developing a place for meeting and learning in orphaned rural areas are the focus. If desired, excursions to other sites can also be organised.

In the project "Gutshof Neuendorf im Sande", the history of the site is documented and made accessible to the public. In the 1930s, the estate was a hachshara site, an agricultural training estate where the increasingly persecuted Jews were to be enabled to leave Nazi Germany through agricultural training. From 1941, the estate became a forced labour camp, and in April 1943 the last Jewish residents were deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where many were killed. In GDR times, the farm was a state-owned property. The project offers workshops on history and political topics, organises concerts, readings, film evenings and theatre performances and wants to become a meeting place for the region. We see the project as a place where a shared vision of a solidary and democratic society without racist exclusion can be developed. Vir'Volt stands for InteRnational VolunTeer Village (in French). For 3 years, the organisation has been based in the heart of nature, in the middle of a regional park. By welcoming young people from all over the world each year, the future village is being built around a number of different objectives: getting to know each other and learning from our differences, reflecting and acting together to protect the environment, but also having a positive impact on the surrounding area and people by putting solidarity at the heart of each of our actions. Vir'Volt also aims to become fully eco friendly and sustainable which is reflected in our campsite ; yurts and teepees as rooms, permaculture farming and gardening, water saving projects, reducing and reusing waste. This small village will become great without sacrificing or damaging the surrounding environment whilst always searching better and more eco friendly ways of living.
The municipality of Heilsbronn is counting on the help of international volunteers to maintain and renovate parts of the town’s infrastructure. For this year, two projects are in discussion:
• Maintain a fitness trail in the forest, called ‘’Vita Parcours’. To keep the fitness trail practicable for visitors, you will clear the trail of over-grow plants along the paths and on different stations. You will also help to clean the signs and stations, as well as help to pick up left-over trash along the way.
• Renovate a ‘’barefoot path’’. A barefoot path is a short way, where people can walk on barefoot, to experience different sensations. One part of it is made with pebbles, another with moss, another one with pine cones… etc. The barefoot paths in Heilsbronn are loved by kids and families and they need to be renovated regularly. You will help emptying and refilling the different parts of the path.
Others projects might also be added. In case, you should expect working outside with municipal workers, doing renovation or construction works. The work will be led by a professional instructor from the builder’s yard, so no previous experience is needed. You will work 30 hours per week, somewhere between 8am to 4pm from Monday to Friday with lunchbreak on site.

Our organization is dedicated to fostering the intellectual, creative, and personal development of young people through various initiatives. With a mission to create, experience, and be together, we aim to provide opportunities that empower local communities and contribute to the growth of youth on both local and international levels.
Our organization's primary goals are threefold: creating, experiencing, and being together. We strive to enable local communities to learn, participate, and self-realize (Creating), offer experiences at the local and international levels to promote personal development among young people (Experience), and cultivate an environment where young individuals can develop competencies for the growth of their communities (Being together).
The organization is committed to fulfilling these goals through a range of tasks and programs. These include:
1. Youth Initiatives: We actively develop and promote youth initiatives, fostering favorable conditions for intellectual and creative development.

3. Leisure Time Activities: Offering opportunities for young individuals to make good use of their leisure time in meaningful ways.
4. Information Access: Ensuring young people have access to relevant information for their developmental needs.
To address the needs of youth with fewer opportunities, we implement outdoor education and adventure pedagogy through various non-formal education programs. Additionally, our international voluntary work camps program promotes intercultural learning, community development, and peace education.
In low-populated areas, we conduct mobile youth work, providing essential youth services where municipalities may not cover them. Advocacy at the regional level is a crucial aspect of our work, advocating for the quality of youth work and the development of participatory youth policy.
Furthermore, our active involvement in traditional folk and cultural events aims to introduce these aspects to the youth, preserving cultural heritage and fostering a sense of community. DIY workshops are organized to support young people in learning practical skills necessary for life.
While the organization was established in 2005, we have grown to be a values-based youth association with a significant impact on local communities and the personal development of young individuals. Children s Development is one of the major programs in VIN s Integrated Community Development Approach. The Goal of the Children s development program is to protect the rights of all children by providing them access to basic quality education, developing their life skills and providing access to health services through community health program. Even in recent days in Nepal, schools are focusing on the examination and are doing less to develop the students creativity. Teachers only focus on reading and writing U? 1/2 rote learning. The creativity of children is not explored. Due to the busy work schedule of parents, most of the children do not have the opportunity to socialize and be creative. At VIN working area Okhaldhunga, children do not have a proper structure and environment to develop their innate talents at home or school. Perhaps the reward is making a difference in your clientU? 1/2s life or making your coworkerU? 1/2s day a little bit easier. U? 1/2 Apply self-regulation and accept feedback- Self-regulation or self-control allows us to be accountable and it empowers us. Feedback helps us improve which will help us excel at work. U? 1/2 Use and value renewable resources and services and produce no waste- These two principles are simply common-sense tips to living a eco-friendly lifestyle and in creating a more sustainable world. U? 1/2 Design from patterns to details- Permaculture calls for standing back and observing patterns in nature and in society and then filling in the details; this might make for a more efficient and logical way to work as well. U? 1/2 Integrate rather than segregate and use and value diversity- These principles translate perfectly in how we should all live in harmony with each other by integrating everyone into our communities and valuing diversity. U? 1/2 Use small and slow solutions- Permaculture uses small and slow solutions because they are easier to manage than bigger solutions and they allow for the use of local resources leading to more sust
The project takes place in the refugee centre in Emmen which is a location for families with children. The children you will be working with are between 4 and 12 years. These children participate in a school program, but during the months of July and August, there is the summer holiday break. The volunteers organise activities for and with the children. This type of work calls for creative people who can make up all sorts of games from scratch to play with the children: music, sports, arts, language sessions, creativity, etc. Therefore the content of this project is up to you and the other participants. The games are scheduled throughout the week.

The location of the project is the Refugee Centre Emmen. Emmen is a city of about 60.000 inhabitants in the province of Drenthe in the northern part of the Netherlands. This refugee centre (in Dutch: ‘AZC Emmen’) has a capacity for about 400 refugees. This particular place is a location for families with under age children whose application for asylum has been denied by the Dutch government. These families will in time return to their homeland.
Our partner is the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (in Dutch: COA). The COA provides accommodation during the asylum procedure and prepares asylum seekers for staying in the Netherlands, returning to their country of origin or transmigration. At the moment COA manages about 100 centres in the Netherlands. COA is an independent administrative body funded by the Dutch Ministry of Justice.
The COA works together with a partner named ‘De Vrolijkheid’: the National Foundation for the Promotion of Happiness. The Happiness is a multicultural, not-for-profit network of artists, play writers, actors, musicians and volunteers who invest in children and teenagers in asylum-seeking centres. The Happiness organises creative activities on a regular basis in 30 asylum-seeking centres in the Netherlands. Please note that it is not allowed to take pictures and/or make videos in the refugee centre.

The former women's concentration camp Ravensbrück was built in 1939 near the small town of Fürstenberg/Havel. Until its liberation in April 1945, over 120,000 women and children, 20,000 men and 1,000 underage young women from the so-called "Uckermark Youth Protection Camp" were imprisoned there. The prisoners came from more than 40 nations. They had to perform forced labor in various sectors, e.g. for SS factories or the Siemens company. Their daily lives were marked by hunger, mistreatment and poor hygienic conditions. Tens of thousands of prisoners were killed. Today, the Ravensbrück Memorial preserves traces and records, promotes remembering and research, and creates a place for active learning and encounters. Every year, international work camps are organized in cooperation with the memorial.

Requisiti e

Organized with the Yamato Traditional Fishing Weir Preservation Association. The first-class river Enogawa, also known as Chugoku Taro, flows through the Tsuga area of Misato. This is the only area of the Gouno River where a fishing method called fish weir fishing still exists, and the co-organizing organizations are keen to preserve this fish weir fishing for the next generation, so they set up a new preservation association in 2020 .
And as a form of preserving the weirs, they aim to create a tourist weir where people can experience fish weir fishing and river games on the Gouno River. The weirs are involved in a variety of activities. We would like to make the weir a force for continuity by getting more and more people, not only from the local area, but also from outside the town, county and country, to get involved with the weir. This year's project is a joint project with Fukuoka Prefecture. Japanese participants will include seven high school students from Fukuoka Prefecture and NICE staff.

The new municipality of Saint-Genix-Les-Villages is located on the Mont Tournier range, itself situated in the Savoyard Foreland in the Savoie department. Saint-Maurice de Rotherens occupies a vast agricultural and forested plateau on the southern slopes of Mont Tournier (600 to 850m altitude). The village overlooks the Rhône valley to the west, with fine views over the Guiers valley and the Chartreuse massif to the south. Its proximity to the Rhône means you can organise a swim during your stay, in consultation with the activity leaders. A paradise for hikers, the commune is at the junction of 2 long-distance hiking routes: the GR9, which links Vézelay to Italy and is used by pilgrims to Assisi, and the GR65, which is used by pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela coming from Geneva and heading for Le Puy en Velay. If you love hiking, this is the destination for you! The village's history is also marked by the figure of Roberto Clemens Galletti di Cadilhac, known as a pioneer of wireless telegraphy. In the heart of the village, a museum, the Galletti Radio Museum, is dedicated to this pioneer who, in 1912, built the only antenna of its kind in the world, making it possible to correspond with the United States of America from the Fils site.

Project Needs:Fujian Tulous (EU? 1/2U? 1/2EU? 1/2U? 1/2) are unique Chinese rural dwellings built between the 12th and 20th centuries by the mountainous Hakka people living in Fujian. In China, the Chinese traditional concept called EU? 1/2U? 1/2Feng-ShuiEU? 1/2U? 1/2 focuses on the relationship between human being and nature. Therefore, the Tulous were built with great consideration of the harmony with and respect for their surrounding nature in a very sustainable and energy efficient way, using local materials. They are interdependent with the mountains and rivers and form an ecological connection with nature over time. However, with globalization and the expansion of cities today, the environment is sometime ignored and new structures are being built around the Tulous. Only some number of Tulou are protected, while thousands of less popular Tulou buildings are either abandoned or left vacant in worn out conditions. Moreover, a Tulou is usually inhabited by one family clan of several generations, and the enclosed structure allows for members to work together defending each other. Individual rooms provide privacy, but there are also communal areas, which provides for cultural gatherings and communication. Nowadays, the community dependence is weakening with young inhabitants moving out to the cities for work or for school.
