"L’Enfance de l'Art", founded in 1997, is an association which aims to help parents in their education role. The organisation aims to gather people willing to bring to their children a creative learning environment where they can find the joy in learning and experience the richness of childhood rather than early specialisation or academic hot-housing. Parents and professionals work together in the structures created by the organisation: leisure workshops, nurseries, schools, kindergarten. To do so, the association follows the principles of Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy.
Altogether, those activities gather a total of 155 children. The nursery, the kindergarten and the primary school, which are all recognized by the authorities, are located in a former boarding school which was abandoned in 2004. This building in now in a process of renovation which the volunteers will take part in.

During this workcamp, you ll have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities. First, you ll work on your self-expression, using your artistic flair to create a graffiti mural in one of the city s neighborhoods. Next, you ll be immersed in the local environment as you work on the Nourishing Forest Trail. Finally, you ll be asked to organize meetings and events with a variety of local audiences, including children, the elderly and local associations. Four young locals will join the team for work and community life. In this way, they ll be able to share their cultures with you, while showing you around their town. You ll be supervised by municipal employees who will share their know-how with you and help you discover the town. You ll work between 5 hours a day, mornings from Monday to Friday.

Step by step, while carefully following detailed plans, you will bring these charming little chalets to life, helping to transform a beautiful clearing below the main center. Join a project alongside Bergerac Town Council, Parc de Pombonne staff and local associations to learn how to garden on living soil through experiments in the Grand Jardin and the Pepi'loc nursery. Take part in the presentation of biodiversity in the Pombonne public park. You'll be offered various ways of preserving the park's flora and fauna. Your participation will help preserve biodiversity and beautify this unique site. There are also plans to create a great treasure hunt in the Parc de Pombonne to discover the biodiversity of the species.
Alongside the Theatre de la Gargouille, take part in workshops on the performing arts, such as theatre and circus, adding an artistic and convivial dimension to the project. Get involved in Bergerac's environment and culture and make a difference!

Help the community of Lauterbach in preserving its beautiful forest and wildlife-rich open land! Lauterbach has many nature conservation areas to offer and your support is needed for various tasks. During this workcamp, you will work in the forest and open land, helping the municipality maintain wet meadow; an important habitat for rare species of flora and fauna. This involves removing mown material from the meadow by hand. The municipality is also responsible of the preservation of a hiking trail, so additionally, you may also assist in sanding, cutting or paving paths, renewing steps and painting hiking trail bridges.
Be prepared for hard physical work! Due to working in swampy (boggy) and steep areas, sturdy boots are required for effective work! The work will be led by a professional instructor, so no previous experience is needed. You will work 30 hours per week, between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from
Monday to Friday with a lunchbreak.

No experience is necessary as new volunteers are teamed up with students and experienced volunteers for hands on learning. Volunteer opportunities range from field excavations to basic maintenance and restoration tasks. This year we will be opening test excavations in the field and assisting with historic preservation tasks in early 20th century buildings, including the museum.
The workday is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The work is done in a friendly and supportive environment. Please understand that this is hard physical labor and includes digging with a trowel or shovel, screening soil, carrying buckets of dirt, and some other hand tool use. Each person will work at their own pace according to their physical condition.
The temperature can be quite hot or cool and rainy. BRING work gloves, work shoes and clothing, including a warm coat or sweatshirt, sun hat, rain coat, long sleeve shirts and pants as there will be mosquitoes. The work site can be dirty and muddy so multiple sets of work clothes are a good idea. The local mud is a very red color, which can be difficult to remove from clothing. Sunscreen and bug spray will be provided.
Study Themes:
History and contemporaneous events (what was happening around the world while people lived at the site). Geology ? why people chose to mine at this particular site. Immigration ? where the mining community was from, and what challenges resulted from such a diversity of origins.

Location: Sunrise is an abandoned mining town located in a rural part of Wyoming. The area is a mixture of small towns, prairies, ranches and forest. The dig site is situated in a beautiful valley within the rugged Hartville Uplift, in the foothills of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
Volunteers will attend local cultural events and will have field trips to local cultural and natural areas. They will also attend an international archaeological symposium at the local college.
There will be many opportunities to enjoy beauty and nature and there will be formal and informal discussions about topics of interest to the group. Bring music, games or other activities to share.

Volunteers will be tent camping with field school students. Individual tents, sleeping bags and pillows are provided. BRING any other bedding you wish to use. All food and meals will be provided for volunteers. We will share cooking duties. Excursions into town will occur every other day, to purchase any snacks or personal items that may be desired.

There is a smaller airport in Cheyenne and if you want to pay extra to fly into Cheyenne, we can pick you up there as well.

Each day of the camp will have a program completed by local coordinators and the volunteers will be helping to realize it. The main activities will be intercultural learning through finding differences and similarities between Estonia and countries, where volunteers come from (history, traditions, language, singing, dancing). It will be done through games, drama, sport, discussions. We expect that volunteers would lead a workshop connected with their culture (traditional dances, games, everyday life, food specialities, etc.) It can be educational one or as a game to play. Therefore we look for active volunteers with good knowledge of history and culture of their country and ability to present it. Taevaskoja Youth Camp is adventurous hiking camp that has been active for over 30 years. The aim of Taevaskoja camp is to support children s development through non-formal education. During the youth camp kids participate in different workshops about health, safety, culture and enjoy climbing and hiking activities. Taevaskoja is located in South-Estonia, about 220 km from Tallinn. The camp site is very close to the one of the most popular natural touristic place - Suur Taevaskoda (The Large Heaven s Hall), surrounded by beautiful forest and close to the one of the longest rivers in Estonia. Such location brings children closer to unspoiled nature and gives them an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Estonian national heritage richly presented in the area. Bring nature back to an old gravel mine! You will support the transformation of an abandoned gravel pit into an ecologically valuable habitat and thus give back to nature what humans have taken from it. The Nellschütz gravel company is creating a habitat with a pond, deadwood, rocks and steep slopes on an area of 4 hectares, providing a new habitat for amphibians, insects and various plants. All these tasks are done in close cooperation with the local authorities for nature protection. The site will also be used for environmental education work with children and young people in the future.
Specific tasks will include the construction of a circular path and a green classroom, the creation of a pond, deadwood areas, etc. You will be digging, straightening, planting, sawing and nailing. There will be a wide variety of work with different levels of difficulty. If necessary, workers from the gravel company will support you with heavy machines. A landscape gardener will provide professional guidance.

Nellschütz is located in the south-west of Leipzig. The nearest larger town is Weißenfels, the meeting point on arrival. Weißenfels is worth a visit, there is a historic old town with various baroque-style buildings, a castle, but also nice shops, bars and cafés... but also many lost places due to the structural change in the region. We will try to offer various excursions. Due to the poor public transport most activities and excursions will be realised with the support of locals. They are already exited in showing you their highlights of the region.

The living conditions will be very basic and sustainable. You will live right next to the gravel pit, about 1km away from the small hamlet of Nellschütz. Specifically, there will be several sleeping tents with camping beds and a pavilion with tables and benches as a common room. Cooking will take place in an improvised outdoor kitchen on an open fire. Instead of a fridge, there will be a dug-out earth cellar. There is a compost toilet and solar showers. Of course there is no wifi. You can also use the showers in the public swimming pool from time to time or swim in the lake. Please bring your sleeping bag.
Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

The project is only suitable for people who are comfortable with living and working in the simplest of conditions and want to try out this way of living for a fortnight without too many comforts.

With your commitment, you will make an important contribution to the biodiversity and the transformation of former industrial brownfield sites. There are many places in the area south-west of Leipzig where gravel is extracted. This is done in open-cast mining. As soon as a site is exhausted, large desolate-looking holes are left in the landscape. In cooperation with the local nature conservation authorities and the Nellschütz gravel company, we will support the revitalisation of such a gravel pit with this volunteering project. Many people in the region are looking forward to this renaturation and to you. They will support you at work, in your free time, with food etc. and they are looking forward to meeting you.
The site will also be used for environmental education by school classes and kindergartens, so a circular route through the site and an outdoor classroom will be build.

Summer school aimed at promoting youth learning about the value of nature and the environment by bringing them closer to and connecting them with the local natural ecosystem. This fosters environmental awareness and provides them with learning tools, as well as respect for nature and humanity, through activities focused on the local flora and fauna.
- Volunteers will prepare with the help of the coordinators and campleaders different activities and workshops for the local children (we are looking for committed and proactive participants).
- Volunteers will participate in relaxion workshops, excursions, activities in the rural world and natural sciencies, manual and creative activities.
A space free of screens, warm, for learning and fun among all young people and focused on nature will be created. The participant will be instructed and will instruct to become familiar with the true protagonists of the camps, nature and coexistence. They will learn to know, respect and value the land and the inhabitants who populate it.
Knowledge of English is mandatory and Spanish or Valencian is valued.
During the summer, temperatures can be very high, and weather conditions may not be optimal due to this.

Altea La Vella is a district of Altea, a municipality in the province of Alicante (Spain). It has 583 inhabitants (INE 2012). This place of the Marina Baja is located between the sea and the mouintains and was the origin of the current Altea. Its white houses stand out. It is located 3.5km south north of the urban center of Altea, 3 km south of the Sierra de Bernia, 2 km west of the Mediterranean Sea and 9 km from Callosa de Ensarria.

The facilities of Finca Santa Barbara have the optimal requirements for carrying out this project, since they are located in a rural enclave, with toilets, showers, children's games area, a picnic area, camping areas for TENTS and a swimming pool. Summer sleeping bag is necessary.
The food is provided by our campleaders and the volunteers will be cooking in groups by the guidance of our campleader. Tents will be provided by the organization yet you can bring your own tent if you wish

The extra fee has be paid by card ( in the exceptional cases we can accept bank transfer as well) 3 weeks before the camp as a confirmation of participation.
If we don't recieve the fee and the flight/bus tickets of the volunteer, we will consider that she/he will not attending to project and we will give opportunity to other volunteers that are on the waiting list.

Il campo allinea le sue attività a quelle di Selvatka: un progetto agroecologico e culturale nato di recente nel grembo boscoso e selvaggio dei colli umbri. Si punterà ad avvicinare i volontari ad attività agricole biologiche e sostenibili, alla comprensione delle foreste nei loro diversi aspetti e al rispetto dei cicli stagionali.
In questo contesto, i volontari supporteranno le attività di apertura di sentieri tematici nel bosco, di cura dell’orto biologico, di eventuale raccolta di grani antichi e di trasformazione e conservazione dei prodotti del campo.
Lavoro
Selvatka è un progetto nato da poco e si trova ancora nelle sue elettrizzanti fasi iniziali, ma allo stesso tempo è attivo in molti ambiti relativi alla sua vocazione boschiva e agricola. In questo stadio del progetto, il contributo di volontari/e è essenziale per lo sviluppo e la crescita di Selvatka come organismo dalle molte facce e radici. Il campo si svolgerà in piena estate, periodo di picco per molti lavori agricoli stagionali. Selvatka predilige il lavoro lento e manuale e non si affida a macchine pesanti o alle scorciatoie della chimica. Le persone sono il suo punto forte.
I volontari/e, affiancati dai/dalle residenti di Selvatka, contribuiranno a diverse attività tra cui:
-Apertura di sentieri per l’accesso e la fruizione (educativa, ricreativa, materiale) del bosco e manutenzione dei sentieri esistenti. Creazione di aree ricreative nel bosco e delle loro installazioni utilizzando legno recuperato localmente (panchine, seggiole, …);
-Sistemazione del materiale ricavato dal bosco nelle legnaie di essiccazione;
-Trapianti, pulizia, manutenzione degli orti del progetto secondo i principi dell’agroecologia;
-Raccolta e trasformazione dei prodotti biologici degli orti;
-Raccolta e trasformazione di piante/frutta spontanea;
-Raccolta e pulizia di grani e legumi biologici cresciuti nel campo;
Sfalcio manuale del fieno a falce, come foraggio per i piccoli animali di Selvatka.

Selvatka si trova a 700 mslm sui colli sopra Nocera Umbra, piccolo e affascinante borgo medievale non lontano da Assisi e Foligno. Il progetto copre 8 ettari tra bosco misto di latifoglie, pascoli inselvatichiti e campi e orti coltivati. Di fronte alla fattoria si apre il paesaggio sulla valle di Nocera e sul monte Pennino, sul retro inizia invece il Parco Regionale del Monte Subasio, un luogo selvaggio e ricco di biodiversità.
Le escursioni previste si svolgeranno nei dintorni del progetto, prediligendo, in base al clima, camminate lungo i torrenti e valli della zona, escursioni montane, o visite ad alcuni splendidi borghi umbri.

Attività formative
Oltre alle attività lavorative, già di per sé formative negli ambiti dell’agroecologia e della gestione forestale, il campo prevede alcune attività formative svolte in collaborazione con aziende agricole della zona e alcuni esperti del settore agrobiologico e forestale.

Tenda condivisa attrezzata con materassi e cuscini. I bagni e la cucina sono nell'appartamento di cui dispone il terreno. Durante l'estate è prevista una doccia esterna. Ai partecipanti è concesso portare la propria tenda se lo preferiscono.

I campi di volontariato si svolgono nella spiaggia dell’Isola dei Conigli, zona A di Riserva Naturale e sito di deposizione della tartaruga marina Caretta caretta. I campi hanno una duplice finalità: contribuire alla tutela della spiaggia, intensamente frequentata a fini balneari, in modo da garantire le condizioni ambientali idonee all’ovodeposizione di Caretta caretta, controllando l’impatto antropico sul sito; sorvegliare e proteggere i nidi di Caretta caretta, dalla deposizione alla schiusa. Questi campi sono una grande occasione per quanti, appassionati della natura, vogliono prendersene cura svolgendo attività utili ed entusiasmanti, in uno dei luoghi più belli di Lampedusa e del Mediterraneo, meritevole di essere salvaguardato per la sua bellezza e per la sua grande importanza naturalistica.

Il campo prevede lo svolgimento di turni giornalieri di 6 ore circa e, all’occorrenza, turni notturni di 8–10 ore. I turni giornalieri sono finalizzati al controllo della balneazione, mediante sorveglianza ed attività di informazione e sensibilizzazione dei bagnanti, in modo da far rispettare i regolamenti vigenti nella riserva. Dalle 8 alle 20.00 i volontari si alterneranno per coprire due postazioni fisse: una all'ingresso della Riserva e una sulla spiaggia. All'ingresso, i volontari forniranno informazioni ai visitatori e forniranno supporto agli operatori nelle attività di controllo degli accessi alla spiaggia. In spiaggia, i volontari sorveglieranno gli eventuali nidi deposti, saranno punto di riferimento per quanti vogliono conoscere la biologia riproduttiva di Caretta caretta e svolgeranno attività di sensibilizzazione nei confronti dei turisti (inviteranno al rispetto delle norme comportamentali da osservare, effettueranno la pulizia dell’arenile, ecc.). I volontari, inoltre, collaboreranno nelle attività di rilevamento dei dati sulla fruizione e saranno di sostegno agli operatori della riserva per il rilevamento dei dati sui nidi di tartaruga e sui piccoli. I turni notturni si svolgeranno presso la struttura ubicata all'ingresso della riserva e sono finalizzati ad impedire l’accesso in spiaggia di eventuali visitatori durante la notte, che potrebbero pregiudicare gli eventi di nidificazione della tartaruga. Durante le schiuse dei nidi i turni notturni si svolgeranno in spiaggia. I volontari parteciperanno anche alle attività di salvaguardia e sorveglianza (diurna e notturna) di eventuali nidi deposti in altre spiagge dell’isola che rientrano nelle competenze dell'Ente Gestore della Riserva. I volontari, a turno, si occuperanno anche della preparazione dei pasti e della pulizia dell’alloggio.

Molto più vicina all’Africa che alla Sicilia, Lampedusa appartiene all’Arcipelago delle Pelagie. Nel 1996 la Regione Siciliana ha istituito la Riserva Naturale “Isola di Lampedusa”, gestita da Legambiente Sicilia. L’area protetta si estende per circa 360 ettari lungo un’ampia fascia incontaminata della costa meridionale dell’isola ed è finalizzata alla conservazione delle espressioni più significative della fauna e della flora presenti sul territorio. La spiaggia dei Conigli è stata per anni oggetto di ogni forma di abuso e degrado, ma grazie agli interventi di recupero ambientale, controllo e sensibilizzazione dell’Ente Gestore oggi è un modello di gestione e promozione di un turismo sostenibile, che ha saputo coniugare conservazione della natura con la fruizione del territorio.

Attività formative
All’inizio di ogni campo i volontari parteciperanno ad un incontro formativo presso la sede della Riserva (tenuto dal personale della Riserva), durante il quale verranno fornite le principali informazioni sull’area protetta (storia, caratteristiche, regolamento, ecc.), sulla biologia della tartaruga marina e sulle attività che si svolgeranno durante il campo.

I volontari saranno ospitati in un appartamento ubicato in centro.
Requisiti e materiali
Il campo è particolarmente impegnativo, poiché prevede una turnazione continua per garantire il controllo del sito h24. Buona attitudine a camminare; buone condizioni fisiche, capacità di svolgere le attività anche con particolari condizioni climatiche (essere in grado di trascorrere diverse ore sotto il sole, ma anche in presenza di vento, umidità, pioggia, zanzare…).

The approach to heritage and environmental protection in rural areas contribute to maintaining and protecting the traditions, history and cultural identity of Serrada de la Fuente. In this field, sustainable practices are promoted and volunteers, the local community and visitors are made aware of the importance of heritage and the environment. Your volunteering will help to recover part of the heritage of Serrada de la Fuente, through the conservation of dry stone walls combined with artistic activities.
Why participate in our field?
“Serrada Viva” consists of a construction camp and the development of activities for conservation and care of the environment. Volunteers will develop activities that show the opportunities and cultural wealth of the rural world. Young people who participate in this volunteer camp will be able to experience living in Serrada de la Fuente, interacting with local residents, getting involved in projects that help revitalize rural areas. Young volunteers will have a global connection with other participants from other parts of the world.
For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a special vacation, meeting people from other regions and countries.
Tasks specific to the field of volunteering
Carry out maintenance and conservation work on dry stone walls in Serrada de la Fuente.
Organization and participation in knowledge activities among the village elders and young people, including traditional practices such as herding and caring for family gardens.
Participate in workshops and activities to learn traditional construction techniques and the environmental care associated with these techniques.
Plan and participate in social theatre and non-formal education activities
